I finally had the chance to visit "Nihonbashi Sakaichi," which opened in the Shimanouchi area in September. I was very curious about their soy sauce ramen, which is highly praised, but I decided to try their "Spicy Mazesoba" instead. I ordered it from the ticket machine and handed the ticket to the familiar owner. The chashu, cut into large cubes, was a highlight with its flavorful and chewy "hanging roasted pork." The spicy mazesoba was boldly spicy but also had a good balance of umami, making it enjoyable. The medium-thick flat noodles mixed perfectly with the original spice blend, spicy minced meat, onions, and green onions. I couldn't resist adding rice for the finishing touch and enjoyed every bite. While mazesoba may seem similar at a glance, this one stood out as a unique and addictive dish with attention to detail. I had planned to try their soy sauce ramen next time, but now I find myself hesitating in front of the ticket machine each time. They are open early in the morning on weekends and holidays, making it possible to enjoy a morning ramen. They are closed only on Wednesdays, except for New Year's Day, so it's a great option for a post-New Year's shrine visit. Thank you, Nakatako, for the delicious meal. This was my 375th bowl of ramen this year.

Autumn is the season for good appetite! The weather is perfect and makes eating even more enjoyable, right? How about starting your day with a bowl of ramen? For those who may think it's strange to have ramen for breakfast, I highly recommend the rare ramen shop, "Nihonbashi Sakura," which opens from 6 am. The shop is located a 5-minute walk from Nihonbashi Station (Exit 6) on the Osaka Metro Sennichimae Line and Sakaisuji Line, and a 5-minute walk from Nagahoribashi Station (Exit 6) on the Sakaisuji Line and Nagahori Tsurumi Ryokuchi Line, slightly away from the bustling downtown area. For those driving, there is a large coin parking lot across the shop. The clean interior has only counter seats facing the kitchen, making it an efficient layout for enjoying delicious ramen. The signature dish is the Chicken Soy Sauce Ramen (made with Ooyama Chicken Double Soup) for 1100 yen, with options to add a seasoned egg for 120 yen or a Tamago Kake Gohan (egg over rice) for 250 yen. The toppings include chicken chashu, green onions, and bamboo shoots. The tender chicken chashu, about 4-5 large slices, pairs perfectly with the soup. The soup is a chicken-based fish sauce soy flavor, with a savory and sweet taste from the soy sauce base. As you continue to eat, the soup gradually blends with the chicken broth and dried fish flavors, creating a rich and flavorful broth. The noodles are a blend of whole wheat, giving them a rich wheat flavor, and they have a moderate firmness with a smooth texture that pairs well with the soup. The half-cooked seasoned egg is rich and creamy, adding to the overall perfection of the dish. The "Special Soy Sauce Ramen" is also highly recommended, but the daily changing "limited ramen" is worth a try. The overall satisfaction, including the taste and service, is exceptional. The attentive and polite service from the owner makes you feel welcomed and satisfied. The shop opens at 10:30 am on weekdays but starts serving from 6 am on weekends and holidays. If you have time in the morning or a relaxing day off, why not challenge yourself to have ramen for breakfast, a "morning ramen" experience? Check out the "limited menu" and "business hours" on Nihonbashi Sakura's Twitter and Instagram. Thank you for the meal! \(^o^)/

On a national holiday Saturday morning around 6:30 AM, I visited "Sakaichi" to try their one-year anniversary ramen special, the "Oyama Chicken Grilled Thigh Meat with Seared One Piece" priced at 1,600 yen. The cozy interior with seating for six at the counter was full, but after a 10-minute wait, we were greeted with the usual friendly and attentive service. The staff recommended pairing the ramen with TKG (tamago kake gohan), but I opted for the ramen alone as it seemed like a substantial meal. The bowl was served piping hot, so be careful when handling it. The seared Oyama chicken was juicy and delicious, and I savored every bite. The noodles at "Sakaichi" are always a favorite of mine - smooth, chewy, and satisfying. The broth was flavorful, and I finished every last drop. Although I wanted to revisit the impressive "Kombu Water Dipping Noodles" from my first visit, I keep finding myself trying their new ramen creations. I recommend checking their Instagram for the latest updates before you go. Once again, the meal was delicious. Thank you for the wonderful experience. ★★★★

Sakaichi's Spicy Curry Ramen is a must-try, with always some kind of limited edition ramen available only on SNS. The broth is light yet rich, reminiscent of soup curry. It comes with rice at the end, making it delicious until the last bite. This is a great curry ramen.

I lined up on Saturday morning when the store opened at 6 o'clock. I arrived 15 minutes early, but there was no line. I went to the convenience store for a bit and came back 5 minutes before opening, but there was still no line. The store had a sign saying they were open, so I knew they weren't closed unexpectedly, but I was a little worried. When the store opened, there were 2 people in line. They were advertising their morning menu, so I ordered the "tantan tsukemen" that I had checked beforehand. It took about 10 minutes for my order to come out even though I was the first person in line. They said you could choose a small rice with your soup, so I asked for that. The next person also had to wait about 10 minutes, so it seemed like the store wasn't very fast-paced. Maybe because I was still half asleep, the taste didn't seem that great to me. However, the staff's customer service was excellent. In the end, there were only 4 people in line, so you don't necessarily have to line up early in the morning to eat there.

The ramen shop that opened on the island this month has popular flowers sent by other shops displayed. It seems they also open for breakfast on weekends and holidays, but they were open today on Friday. Check their official social media before visiting. Since it's still hot, I ordered the chilled dried fish ramen. It came with rare chicken char siu and seared chicken char siu, which was luxurious. The noodles had a good texture. As for the soup, personally, I wish it had more bitterness. It's good for those who like light flavors, but for a broth lover like me, it lacked punch.

In September of the 5th year of Reiwa, on weekends and holidays, a morning special (6:00-9:00) soy sauce ramen is available for 880 yen including tax. This ramen has a well-balanced and delicious combination of noodles, soup, chashu (roast pork), menma (bamboo shoots), and green onions. It is a limited-time offer only on weekends and holidays, and being able to enjoy authentic ramen in the morning is truly appreciated.

Sakaichi's tantan tsukemen (large) is delicious. The dipping sauce has a rich sesame and coconut sweetness with the fragrance of spicy oil and Sichuan pepper, making the noodles irresistible. In addition to tender chicken breast meat, the dipping sauce is filled with chunks of chashu, and you can choose between soup refills or mini rice for the finish. It's a very satisfying dish. Delicious.

This time, I visited Nihonbashi Sakaichi. Despite the hot weather, I ordered the "Kombu Water Dipping Noodles" available only on SNS. This dish is light and refreshing, and one of my favorites. After a while, I had it again. The noodles, coated in kombu water, were topped with a clear soy broth that was very refreshing. The smooth noodles paired perfectly with the clear broth, and it was delicious. The chicken breast chashu and pork chashu were also very tasty. I enjoyed it and finished it easily. Thank you for the meal!

This is a ramen restaurant called "Nihonbashi Sakaichi" in Nishi-Shinsaibashi, Osaka. This was my 17th visit since it opened in September last year. You can find a blog article with photos and detailed descriptions here: http://tushio.jp/blog-entry-5931.html
After walking under the scorching sun from Osaka Metro Nihonbashi Station, I arrived to find the shutters down. I waited in the shade of the tent and then entered the restaurant. They have a ticket vending machine system where you purchase your meal ticket. Apart from the regular menu, they also have special menu items for SNS followers, so be sure to check their Twitter and Instagram.
I ordered the "Nibokatsuo (with rice)" for 1,100 yen and added a "flavored egg" for 120 yen, a special treat from Ramen Circuit. The dish had a generous amount of bonito flakes on top, with two types of chashu in a dried fish soy sauce soup. The flavor of the bonito intensified as I ate, which was very interesting. The noodles were firm and delicious, and the charred pork belly chashu and tender chicken breast chashu were also excellent.
After finishing the noodles, I enjoyed the rice with the remaining toppings and soup, creating a delicious ochazuke-style dish. It was a delightful experience and I left the restaurant completely satisfied.

The early morning 6 am ramen activity is at the ramen shop "Nihonbashi Sakaichi" in Naka-ku, Osaka City. The blog article with photos can be found here: http://tushio.jp/blog-entry-5926.html. This was my 16th visit since it opened in September last year. I walked from Osaka Metro Nihonbashi Station in the still hot early morning and waited for the shutter to open before entering. The menu is displayed on a ticket machine where you purchase your food ticket. In addition to the regular menu, there are also SNS limited menus, so be sure to check the shop's Twitter and Instagram. I sat at the counter seat at the back and started with my usual Red Star beer. I tried the SNS limited "Spicy Curry Ramen (with rice)" for 1,100 yen. It had a spicy curry flavored meat miso with plenty of fried onions and chopped green onions. The soup was a soy sauce flavor with dried fish, and the curry flavored meat miso added a spicy kick. The ramen came with three large and tender chicken breast chashu slices. The ramen kit bonus seasoned egg was also delicious. The flexible, flat, medium straight noodles had a nice chewiness and were very delicious. After finishing the noodles, I put the toppings on the rice, poured plenty of soup, and it was incredibly delicious. "Nihonbashi Sakaichi" is located at 2-11-3 Shimanouchi, Naka-ku, Osaka City. Phone number is not disclosed. Operating hours are 10:30-14:30, with morning hours (Fri, Sat, Sun, holidays) from 6:00-9:00. Closed on Wednesdays. Completely non-smoking. No parking available. This time, I visited Nihonbashi Sakaichi. They open in the morning on weekends, which is so convenient. They had a limited special "Sesame Spicy Chicken Mazesoba" on offer, so I decided to try it. When the dish arrived, it had a great aroma of Sichuan pepper and spices. I mixed it well, bringing out the fragrance of sesame, and took the first bite. It was delicious as always. The noodles had a different texture, which made it even more tasty. The combination of sesame richness, spicy kick, and flavorful chicken was perfect. I enjoyed the crispy noodles and then dove into the accompanying rice. The final rice dish was also delicious. I couldn't get enough of this amazing flavor. I finished the meal feeling satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

During my lunch break, I went to Nagahori Bridge, which is about a 7-minute walk from exits 4 and 6 of Nagahoribashi Station. It feels a bit far from Nihonbashi Station. When you enter, there is a ticket machine on the right side where you can purchase your meal ticket. The interior of the restaurant, which has only a counter with seating for about 7 people, is clean and has a calming atmosphere. This restaurant is part of the Ramen Circuit, so if you show your stamp card, you can choose between a raw egg over rice (TKG) or a boiled egg. I chose the boiled egg and after a short wait, my bowl of ramen arrived. The clear broth is made from a combination of chicken and dried sardines with soy sauce, and it has a mild flavor. When I tasted the soup, I could feel the rich umami of the chicken and the smooth soy sauce without any overwhelming saltiness. The dried sardines added plenty of umami without any bitterness or fishy taste, making the soup easy to drink with a pleasant mouthfeel. The flat, medium-thick noodles made with whole wheat flour are firm and smooth, and the flavor of the whole wheat complements the rich broth well. The pork belly has a chewy texture and a deep meaty flavor, while the chicken breast is light and delicious. The boiled egg had a soft, gooey yolk and was very tasty. The staff were friendly, and the owner was approachable, which added to the positive experience. I look forward to trying the spicy mixed noodles next time. Thank you for the meal.

Limited Konbu Tsukemen - Extra Large Portion
It had been a while since I visited the Nakatani shop owner, and this time I tried their limited Konbu Tsukemen instead of the usual cold soup with dried fish. Even though it's not homemade noodles, they generously offered a free upgrade to an extra large portion, which I am truly grateful for. Additionally, I received a seasoned egg as a special treat for waiting in the hot weather before the shop opened. The noodles were straight and medium-thick, soaked in a refreshing Konbu-based broth. On top of the noodles, there were tender slices of chicken breast chashu. The dipping sauce was a classic chicken soup that was incredibly delicious. I could eat it all day long. There was also Sichuan pepper on a separate plate, which added a nice kick for those who enjoy it. I personally think adding a bit of seaweed salt to the broth would make it even better. The dipping sauce also had a hanging-grilled chashu which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying it out - Bon appétit!

I visited the restaurant on a Wednesday during the Obon period, when they open at 6 am for morning ramen. This was my third visit, around 8:30 am, and it was already scorching hot. I ordered the Chilled Shrimp Ramen with Rice (1,100 yen), which was made with plenty of Irigo Ibusuki and anchovies. It was perfect for a hot summer morning breakfast. The noodles were smooth and shiny, very delicious. I particularly enjoyed the seared chicken chashu. For the finishing touch, I poured the cold soup over the rice and slurped it all up. It was a satisfying breakfast with elegant cold soup, beautiful noodles, and rice. Thank you for the meal. ☆☆☆☆ The background music playing today was THE YELLOW MONKEY, which really pumped up the mood.

Second visit. The day before a typhoon, I went to Nagahoribashi in search of ramen. I arrived around 1pm, so I was able to go without waiting in line! When I eat ramen for lunch, I am usually hungover 90% of the time. I ordered the chashu bowl and ramen that were sold out last time due to their popularity. The staff were both friendly and the atmosphere was great. The ramen was light and both types of chashu were delicious! The chashu bowl looked tasty as well, but my friend's seasoned egg also looked delicious (no photo). Food always looks more appetizing when someone else is eating it. It was a relaxing holiday. Today's first stop is "Nihonbashi Sakaiichi" in Nihonbashi. They are known for their limited edition tsukemen, so I decided to give it a try. I purchased the "Kombu Water Tsukemen" from the ticket machine. The background music changes daily, and on this day it was B'z. The dish has arrived. Let's dig in. The broth is made from chicken and the tare is soy sauce-based. It's delicious. The noodles are thick, smooth, slightly flat noodles. The toppings include chicken breast chashu. There is also pork chashu and chopped green onions in the dipping sauce. I sprinkle some Sichuan pepper on the noodles for extra flavor. It adds a nice kick. Thank you for the meal.

I discovered this restaurant on Twitter and was surprised to see the high rating of 3.6 on Tabelog. I decided to visit and try their chilled ramen, perfect for the hot weather. The light and refreshing soup, made without chemical seasonings, had a balanced bitterness and saltiness, ideal for the summer. The whole wheat noodles were chewy and smooth, complementing the soup well. The dish included 3 slices of rare and seared chicken, which was a nice touch. The additional seasoned egg was perfectly cooked. The meal ended with free rice and leftover soup turned into a refreshing ochazuke. The cozy and clean atmosphere, along with the friendly service from the couple running the place, left a good impression. The restaurant seemed popular among solo diners, and I would recommend it for a casual meal, even for solo female diners. Note that limited-time menu items are announced on Twitter, and each counter seat has an outlet.

This time, I went to Nihonbashi Sakaichi. The limited menu for the day was Nibokatsu and Konbu Mizutsuke Ramen, but there was also a cold Niboshi soba available, so I chose the Niboshi soba this time. It had been a while since I last tried this dish, and the refreshing Niboshi soup was carefully made, making it absolutely delicious. The noodles and chicken toppings were also excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, including the rice dish at the end. It was a very satisfying experience. Thank you for the meal.
