JR Tokaido Main Line, 3 minutes walk from Osaka Station. This izakaya is located in "NOMOKA" in Whity Umeda. Originally a popular standing bar in Higobashi, it moved to Umeda without losing its popularity, with lines forming daily. Due to the pandemic, alcohol restrictions and risks led to a long period of complete closure, but they have finally reopened. This place embodies the essence of an izakaya: cheap, delicious, and fast. Upon arrival, the restaurant was already full, so we had to wait outside for a bit before entering. In the past, waiting in line for a long time was normal, so the wait didn't bother us. Inside, there was a lively atmosphere and energetic voices coming from the kitchen. The staff provided polite service, creating a pleasant drinking experience. Since it had been a while since our last visit, we ended up ordering quite a variety of dishes. - Live shrimp: one of the signature dishes, available as sashimi or salt-grilled. The freshness was evident in the firm and sweet texture. Some may be put off by the fact that it's still moving, but it was delicious. - Chicken liver sashimi: simply seasoned with sesame and sesame oil. The silky liver had a creamy texture, perfect with drinks. - Fish namero: finely chopped fish with just the right stickiness. The miso didn't overpower the fish, and eating it with wasabi added a spicy kick. The finely chopped green onions were a nice touch. - Vinegared eel and cucumber: the eel was fatty and melted in the mouth, while the cucumber, despite its appearance, was finely cut and dissolved easily when chewed. The lemon accompaniment was a nice touch. - Chicken curry risotto with omelette: another signature dish, available with various toppings. We chose the omelette, which was perfectly cooked and creamy. The curry was spicy and flavorful, making it a standout dish. We also had a variety of drinks: - Kurara sake: a fruity aroma with a refreshing taste and acidity. Easy to drink, so we ended up having a second glass. - Zaka ginjo sake: initially smooth with a spicy finish, perfect for pairing with snacks. - Kikuhime nigori sake: slightly unique sweetness with a gentle mouthfeel, great for a lighter drink. All of this for only 5,000 yen with change back, showcasing excellent value for money. We will continue to visit this place in the future.

In the Whity Umeda store, the restaurant was almost full even though it was around 4 o'clock on a holiday. We started with drinks, ordering beer and wine. Most drinks were priced at 390 yen and were delicious. For seasonal dishes unique to this restaurant, we ordered bonito tataki and game meat. The bonito tataki came with fried garlic and onions, served with plenty of ponzu sauce, and was light and delicious. The deer meat tempura was similar to whale meat, with no unpleasant smell, and we enjoyed it with the cabbage side dish. It was a lively and energizing time.

Finally, my trip back to Osaka (originally for work) is reaching its peak. I was able to visit the gravesite, meet with relatives, and now it's the final sprint until the night Shinkansen! Today is the fifth place I've visited, a very popular spot in the area. Since reservations are not accepted, I had to go there, but I don't have time to wait in line! If it's 5:00, I might just make it in? Taking a gamble, I rush through Whity carrying 20 551 pork buns! (They are heavier than Tokyo meat buns!) Yay! I got in without waiting in line, just in time for the last slot! Dining alone is the best!! The counter is packed and unbelievably hot... I'm sweating... Even though the air conditioning is on full blast. Most drinks are only 390 yen, but I couldn't resist and got a shochu highball for 390 yen. Unfortunately, by 5:00, the 198 yen specials on shrimp and game meat were all sold out! - Dashimaki Tamago (Japanese rolled omelette) 429 yen - Delicious! The dashi flavor is exceptional, and the grated daikon is also top-notch. It took quite a while to come out since it was full. - Daikon Oden (Japanese hot pot dish) 143 yen - Surprisingly, a dark-colored Kanto-style dish came out. But the taste is more like the strong saltiness of Kansai-style. - Ara-ni (simmered dish) 390 yen - With plenty of burdock, this dish is surprisingly Kanto-style. It's similar to a country-style simmered dish. - Nigiri Sushi (striped jack and amberjack) 198 yen each - It's nice that they are sold by the piece. They are simply delicious, focusing more on freshness rather than aging. I prefer them to be more sticky and fresh. All the food is delicious, and most drinks are around 390 yen. The appetizers range from 100 yen to 500 yen, including oden and kushikatsu. The cost performance is definitely worth it. By the time I left, there were over 10 people waiting. I wanted to eat more, but I have to catch the Shinkansen! When will I be able to visit again?

Around 6:30 pm, a group of four people who had been waiting for about 20 minutes were able to move to a 4-person table that had become available, thanks to a couple who kindly moved to a smaller table. This kind of system used to be common, but it was a pleasant surprise to see it in action again. The restaurant offers affordable and delicious menu options, perfect for a casual drink. Eventually, we may be asked to vacate the table, but overall, it's a system that makes sense and we are grateful for it.笑

I went to Wasurenagusa for the first time. When I arrived at around 7pm, there were about five groups waiting in line. Since it's a bar, I was worried about getting a seat, but surprisingly I was seated in less than 30 minutes thanks to the 2-hour seating rule. They had a variety of highball options, which was great. We ordered a sashimi platter, twist-grated daikon with ponzu sauce, curry risotto with omelette, live sweet shrimp sashimi, and grilled wild boar belly skewers. Everything was delicious, especially the famous curry risotto. It had a fluffy omelette on top, and the combination of sweet and spicy chicken curry was perfect. It was so good that we ordered an additional serving of the curry risotto. In conclusion, the curry risotto with omelette is the best! If only it had cheese in the omelette, it would be even better. Another highlight was the live sweet shrimp sashimi, where they fried the head to a crispy texture and every part was delicious except for the tail. The restaurant was playing various songs by ONE OK ROCK the whole time, which made me happy but might be distracting for those who are not fans. I would love to visit again!

I visited an izakaya in Umeda where reservations are not accepted, and when I arrived after 4 pm, I was able to get in right away with just a short wait. The cozy atmosphere of the izakaya and the attentive staff made ordering easy. When I ordered a sashimi platter, they asked if I wanted it for the number of people in my group, showing their great service. The food was delicious, with fresh fish that had no fishy smell and a rich flavor. The yakitori and kushikatsu were also very tasty, and I could see why they are popular. They also served game meat dishes, and I tried the deer tendon in ponzu sauce and fried wild boar meat, both of which had little to no gamey taste and would be enjoyable even for those trying game meat for the first time. Since reservations are not accepted, there may be a wait depending on the time, but it was a wonderful restaurant that made me want to come back again.

I visited around 5pm and the place was almost full. It's definitely a popular spot. Unfortunately, many items were already sold out. The fish dishes were delicious. I was happy that you could choose individual pieces of sushi. The grilled skewers were also very tasty! It's a reasonably priced place and perfect for chatting with friends.

I was lucky to walk in without waiting on a Friday holiday at 12pm. Depending on the timing, there was some waiting. I tried the recommended dish, curry pilaf with eggs and curry ai-mori. It's a curry that goes well with alcohol! It's slightly spicy. The sashimi was also delicious.

I found this restaurant where you can have a great lunch drink and eat delicious kushikatsu in Osaka travel!! I ordered all types of kushikatsu excitedly, and the shrimp was sweet and delicious. I should have ordered more shrimp! It was delicious, but it's the kind of izakaya where you can be satisfied with just one visit!

Visited around 3 PM on the weekend with no wait. Ordered the "Akao" dish which consisted of venison tendon in ponzu sauce, as well as the "Deep-fried wild boar" and "Octopus liver-style" dishes. I always order game meat when I come here. The Octopus liver-style dish was served with green onions and sesame oil, which complemented the octopus sashimi well. Added the "Kuro" dish and enjoyed the meal. This popular restaurant is always worth a visit when it's not crowded. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Anyway, great value for money! [Atmosphere] I finally got to visit a restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. It's an izakaya located in the "Nomoka" area of Whity Umeda. I went on a weekend without a reservation, but I was able to get in without any problems. I wonder if this kind of place gets busier on weekdays? The restaurant was spacious and had plenty of staff, so the dishes came out really quickly, almost too fast to keep up with. There was a kind chef in the kitchen, I think his name was Tanaka or Sato (I forgot his name), but just watching him made me feel warm inside. [Food] The value for money is amazing! The eel at the top was huge and only 690 yen for 2 pieces, which made me question if it was really that good. The sashimi platter had 5 different types of fish, all classic choices and delicious. The dashimaki omelette was fluffy, and the deep-fried wild boar was not gamey at all, with tender meat. The chicken curry risotto as the finishing touch was also very filling and surprisingly spicy, which I liked. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with this restaurant. It did not disappoint my expectations!

I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. I was invited by a friend, so I decided to visit on a weekday for lunch. Since I had heard that this place is quite popular, I aimed to arrive right after opening. As I waited in line, even though it was a weekday, the line kept growing behind me. Luckily, we were able to get a table and when I was about to place my order, I noticed a foreign tourist who seemed confused about the menu. Remembering my experience in Kyoto where I couldn't do anything, I decided to approach and help him even though I can't speak much English. I showed him the popular menu items from the Tabelog app and then left it to the staff to help them choose their order. - Chicken curry risotto omelette with curry on top (590 yen) - Assorted sashimi (890 yen) - Dancing live shrimp (180 yen) - Grilled chicken skewers with soft bone, skin, and thigh meat - Black draft beer (390 yen) - Mitsu-ya cider (290 yen) The food was delicious and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The foreign tourists seemed to enjoy their meal as well, which made me happy. Despite being a light eater, I was satisfied with the taste and value of the dishes. The restaurant's popularity is well-deserved. Now, it's time to move on to the next destination under the scorching sun.

I ordered the recommended dish of Izumi Shuzui eggplant, which varies depending on the season, and it was delicious! The best thing about this place for me is the wide variety of highball options, all of which are incredibly delicious. Highballs that make the meal even better!

Today, my schedule was unexpectedly changed, so I decided to spend a relaxing day in Osaka. After working out at the sports club for an hour and a half, I passed by a restaurant near my accommodation. It was around 4:30 PM, so surprisingly there was no line (unlike last time when I had to wait). I went in and ordered their famous dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette) along with a beer, which is a perfect combination. I also had some pickled eggplant from Izumi, and a small shrimp tempura. They have a great selection of highballs, and the fact that they offer different brands and all at the same price made me happy. Overall, it was a simple and enjoyable visit to the restaurant.

I lined up 10 minutes before the store opened and was second in line. Soon after, more people started lining up and the restaurant quickly became full. This time, I had venison and tripe stew. The tripe stew was just to my liking, not too spicy and had a perfect taste. It was thick and easy to eat with chopsticks. Of course, I had Asahi Super Dry beer!

A popular izakaya in Whity Umeda with long lines. As the reviews say, the food was delicious and had good value for money. I was satisfied with the wide variety of sake. Of course, I finished with the famous curry chicken with everything on top. It's a great place to grab a quick bite and drink at the counter after work. ✨

Daio Yoko, Issei Ogata, and Koyama's play, art, followed by. Around 8 o'clock on Saturday. There were about four groups lined up, but we were able to be seated without much wait. Quite a few items were sold out, so we started with beer. A platter of 5 types of sashimi, fresh and delicious. Three types of kushikatsu, tamane kago, shrimp, and chicken were okay. The grilled duck skewers were delicious. The egg omelette was fluffy and creamy. The octopus yukke-style dish might not be necessary next time. Oden with daikon, chicken meatballs, and processed foods were average. The omu curry with everything on top was spicy and you could eat as much as you want. Having eaten all this, with 5 beers, it cost just under 9000 yen. Amazing value for money. I want to come back again.

At the "Wasurenagusa" restaurant in Whitey Umeda Nomoka, even though my stomach was full, I felt like having a little drink and there was no line, so I decided to stop by. I managed to get a spot in the corner of the counter. I ordered a draft beer for ¥390, a lemon highball for ¥390, striped jack sashimi for ¥790, and 2 live spot prawns for ¥180 each. The live spot prawns are a must-have when coming here! You have to peel the skin yourself, but the meat is sweet and firm. The fried head is crispy and delicious. The striped jack sashimi had a good texture and was tasty. I wanted to order more, but due to my full stomach, I had to stop there. I will visit again when I have more room in my stomach. Thanks to the staff, the restaurant, the dishes, and the live spot prawns. Thank you for the meal! ✴️✴️✴️

During a business trip, I was introduced to this restaurant and visited for the first time. The fried live hamo is seriously delicious! The shrimp sashimi, pickled mackerel, and grilled silver cod were all amazing. I finished with the chicken curry with all the toppings. Everything was truly delicious, and the cost performance is excellent! The staff were also very kind and polite, so it's no wonder this place is so popular. There always seems to be a line outside the store, so be aware.

Located inside Whity Umeda, this popular casual pub always has a line of customers waiting to get in. The interior is long and narrow, with a cozy atmosphere created by the wooden counter. The menu offers a variety of dishes including meat, fish, and Western-style cuisine, even including game meats like boar and deer. The drink menu is reasonably priced and offers a wide selection, especially when it comes to highballs. [Tuna Tataki (served with yuzu pepper)] 790 yen Tuna tataki marinated in sauce and mixed with raw egg yolk. The tuna is fresh with a nice red color and a chewy texture. The slices are thick enough to provide a satisfying bite. [Live Dancing Shrimp] 180 yen This is their signature dish. The shrimp is served straight from the tank, ensuring freshness and a firm texture. The fried shrimp heads on the side add a crunchy texture and a hint of saltiness for an extra enjoyable experience. [Live Conger Eel Fry (with tartar sauce)] 790 yen The batter is crispy, the meat is tender, and the portion is generous. The conger eel is deboned meticulously, allowing you to enjoy a fluffy texture unique to this fish. It's surprising to find such a voluminous portion of this high-quality ingredient. [Sushi] 180 yen per piece Ordered one piece each of salmon, fatty salmon, and flounder. Some options like horse mackerel, amberjack, and yellowtail were sold out. The restaurant doesn't take reservations, so it's best to visit during off-peak hours to avoid long waits. Visited around 6 pm and found many menu items sold out already, leading to delays in orders for both myself and other customers. Enjoyed a quick drink and moved on to the next spot. With affordable drinks and high-quality dishes at reasonable prices, it's no wonder this place is so popular. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived a little after 3 o'clock and was able to get in without any waiting time! I ordered dashimaki tamago, raw liver-like octopus, potato salad, dancing shrimp, and kushikatsu. Unfortunately, the shrimp was no longer moving, but it was firm and delicious! The raw liver-like octopus was so delicious that I wanted to order more, it was the perfect appetizer!
