I went to this restaurant in Kitashinchi with three friends. It was a Saturday but luckily they were open! The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with only a counter. The staff and the master were all smiling and welcoming. We started with a toast and then let our friend who recommended the place order for us. We were served cabbage and a variety of kimchi including Chinese cabbage, radish, oi kimchi, and yam. The flavors were all great! Then came the liver, yukhoe, raw liver, harami sashimi, and heart sashimi, among others. The meat was incredibly delicious, with a sweetness that melted in your mouth. We also had white rice which was of high quality and enhanced our appetite. The grilled dishes included thick and thin slices of tongue, negi shio tan, and more. The thick slices of tongue were particularly delicious! The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, making it easy to enjoy. We also had ichibo, harami, loin, kalbi, all of which were best enjoyed with wasabi or salt to bring out the sweetness of the meat. The restaurant's sauce was also very flavorful! The quality for the price was exceptional. The salt, wasabi, and sauce all enhanced the meat's flavor. We also had large shiitake mushrooms, which were thick and juicy. Grilled slowly, I enjoyed them with lemon juice. The soup options included yukkejang, which could be adjusted for spiciness. I found the soup to be spicy but gentle, with soft eggs. For dessert, we had a small portion of cold noodles, which had a Japanese twist to the Korean dish. It was light and refreshing, with a hint of Iwate cold noodles. Although it didn't have fruit, the boiled egg and kimchi added a nice touch. This restaurant is truly deserving of its place in the 2022 Top 100 list. Despite its small and retro vibe with just a counter, it is a fantastic place to dine. It's a big hit for me and I will definitely be back. Make sure to make a reservation before you go!
