Let's try visiting a highly rated but unvisited restaurant - "Maruzou" in Nagai, where I couldn't visit before due to temporary closure during the pandemic. This was my first visit. I arrived at 12:10 pm and the place was not crowded, with a simple yet clean and beautiful interior. The owner's personality was evident. I ordered the Chicken Chashu Ramen (soy sauce). It was served in just 5 minutes. The ramen was a classic style with pure chicken flavor and a hint of seafood, maybe from the seaweed. The soup was hot and rich with chicken oil. The noodles had a good texture and paired well with the soup. The thick chashu had a smoky aroma and a juicy texture. It added a nice accent to the overall flavor. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The high ratings led me to visit this place, but the classic soy sauce ramen did not suit my taste. I wondered if the timing of my visit affected the quality of the ramen, but after reading reviews, I became convinced that this ramen was the right choice. Hmm... I can't shake off this feeling of dissatisfaction. Maybe it's the lack of variety? Anyway, I feel like I wasted my money on this bowl of ramen. Even if there were different options available, this particular one just didn't work for me, so I won't be returning. What a shame.

The soy sauce ramen at this restaurant was highly rated, so I decided to visit. The menu for the day was different, and I wonder if it changes daily. Other menu items seem popular, but personally, I did not like this one. The chicken was grilled, but it tasted more burnt than fragrant. The nori topping also didn't seem to serve much purpose.

I visited around 10 o'clock on a regular day! I wanted to eat sea bream ramen, but the daily ramen was not written outside, so I was nervous...! But I was curious, so I entered the shop, and it turned out they didn't have it that day. The ramen was made with soy sauce and pork and dried fish broth, I think. It was carefully made, but it was a bit light, so I found it a little unsatisfying... The egg was soft-boiled and really delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Today, I visited a shop in Nagai. I was actually planning to visit last week, but on my way to the shop, I happened to see a tweet from the shop announcing that the owner was unwell and the shop was closed. After waiting for a week, I finally visited today. Before leaving home, I double-checked by tweeting, and saw a photo of today's menu with the caption "We look forward to seeing you!" The timing was perfect! When I arrived at the shop aiming to be one of the first customers, there was already one person ahead of me. I almost asked if I could go ahead of them. (laughs) Soon, it was opening time, and I entered the shop. The person ahead of me seemed to be deciding on their order. In the meantime, the owner asked me if I had decided on my order. Oh, maybe I'll get my food first. Today, I ordered this, the dish I've been waiting for a week to eat. Yamato Chicken Oil Mazesoba for 1,100 yen (with extra rice). The reason I wanted to try this dish was because a member of a ramen community I'm in posted a photo of this mazesoba, and I fell in love with it at first sight. Then, the photo posted on Twitter today made it even more appetizing. So I didn't ask if I could go ahead of the other person. (laughs) The person ahead of me decided on the shop's Jiro-style ramen, Sanro. "It will take a little time," said the owner. Yes! I might get my food first. (laughs) As I expected, I got my food before the other person. It looked incredibly delicious!!! (tears) The surface was covered with Yamato chicken. I couldn't resist. And when mixed, the amazing aroma of chicken oil and the faint scent of garlic were irresistible. Let's eat!!...I can't say anything. It's too delicious to describe with simple words. I'm glad I like mazesoba. People who don't know this taste are missing out. I wouldn't mind if this taste was only for me. (laughs) A taste I don't want to share. Yamato chicken, chicken oil, minced onions, garlic, soy sauce dressing, and spices mixed together, dancing in my mouth, making me lose my senses. (^◇^;) And the extra rice. Actually, I've been avoiding extra rice when ordering mazesoba lately, but today I felt like having it again. This extra rice also looked delicious with its sauce. A perfect finish. It was so delicious that...bring it on from anywhere! (laughs) It was a completely satisfying bowl. Next time, I will definitely order mazesoba again, but the tweet photo of Sanro that the person ahead of me struggled to decide on also looked incredibly delicious. Next time I come, I might struggle between ordering mazesoba or Sanro. In the meantime, I might get surpassed by the next person. (laughs)

At the beginning of 2023, I was torn between having mixed noodles and ramen, so I ended up trying mixed noodles for the first time! The taste was consistently good as always. I hesitated to order the extra rice with the Yamato Jidori mixed noodles that I tried for the first time, but it was so delicious that I couldn't resist ordering it. It was so tasty!

Long stay for errands!? I want to have ramen here for the first time in a while~ (ノ´▽`)ノ♪ I parked my car at a nearby coin parking and headed to the shop behind Kansai Supermarket⁉︎ on the south side~ I remembered the shrimp miso ramen I had before~ Let's go~♡ It's a counter-only shop with only one staff welcoming me~ There were no other customers! I checked in at the counter and ordered the rich sea bream miso ramen from the top row!! The bowl that arrived had a cloudy soup with rare chicken chashu⁉︎ Purple spring onion, kaiware, aosa‼︎ Mitsuba & green onion for color and presentation~:*+.。 First, I tasted the slightly viscous soup~ The rich aroma of sea bream spread out as expected~ The umami was also excellent! It doesn't really taste like miso ramen, but has a unique flavor that is reminiscent of Kansai-style white miso soup... Next, I slurped up the slightly thin straight custom-made noodles~ They were fresh and had a good texture when mixed with the soup!! Wanting a bit more firmness, but still within an acceptable range!! The chewy core and rich soup balanced well and it was a good combination... And then, I savored the tender and thick chicken chashu~ with each bite, the umami flavor increased~ I wanted more of this rare chashu~✿ Furthermore, the fresh texture of the other toppings added an accent and enhanced the overall bowl~ It turned out to be an unexpected long stay with sea bream ramen~ "Chuka Soba Maruzo" is MASA☆RU's recommendation for seafood lovers! Enjoy your meal!

I visited Maruzo, a ramen shop known for its long-standing presence. There was no menu displayed outside, just a sign saying to make requests and apologizing for any inconvenience. It felt a bit intimidating, but I decided to go in anyway. I ordered the Rich Sea Bream Miso Ramen, and the server confirmed that it was the Sea Bream Miso ramen. The soup was rich with a strong sea bream flavor, and you could really taste the sea bream in it. It had a thick texture, almost like a sea bream potage. The miso flavor was not very prominent, as the sea bream flavor dominated. The balance with the noodles was good, and the toppings like condiments and spicy powder added a nice touch. The price was a bit high at 1150 yen, but considering the strong sea bream flavor, it was reasonable. Personally, I felt that the strong sea bream taste made it slightly monotonous towards the end, despite the additional toppings. The service was quiet but polite, with a farewell of "Thank you, take care" as I left.

Kickboxing at Nagai and stumbled upon Maruzo-san, which I had bookmarked. Saw some limited information on Twitter. Located southwest of Nagai subway station, on the south side of the supermarket. The shop is small with just a counter, run by one person. They have a variety of dishes like sea bream ramen and Yamato chicken mixed soba, with a daily changing menu. I tried the dried fish soba, which had a strong salty flavor but I enjoyed the chewy texture. It also had seaweed on top. The juicy chicken chashu was a nice touch. Looking forward to trying their Yamato chicken mixed soba next time.

Rich sea bream miso ramen. Sports day. Despite the rain, I participated in a 30km marathon at Nagai. After finishing, I had planned to eat Jiro-style ramen, but it was too cold due to the rain. So, I decided to have a warm bowl of ramen at Maruzo instead. First, I toasted with a bottle of beer to celebrate my accomplishment. Soon after, the rich sea bream miso ramen was served. I started by savoring the soup. The rich sea bream miso flavor soaked into my chilled body. It had a solid seafood taste, including the flavor of sea bream, which was delicious and not overpowering. The seaweed and purple onion matched well with the rich soup. I think there was also shiso in it, which did a great job. The straight noodles also mixed well with the soup and made for a very tasty bowl of ramen. Eating this ramen revived me!

Marukura in Nagoya. There were empty seats available. I ordered the Chicken Chinese Noodles with Soy Sauce (900 yen) and it was ready in 7 minutes. The seaweed adds a nice fragrance to the soy sauce broth. The chashu pork has a rich flavor, and the thin noodles go well with the soy sauce broth. The ramen is simple with just onions and bamboo shoots, which is nice as it doesn't have unnecessary ingredients. It was a simple but delicious ramen.

Visit date: 20:10, Sunday Wait time: None Menu: Two-layered clam broth ramen (cold) 1,000 yen I have visited this place a few times before, but always seemed to miss it as it was closed. This time was my first visit. Usually, on the first visit, I would order the restaurant's specialty, but it was too hot this time so I ended up ordering the cold ramen. Surprisingly, it was delicious without feeling out of place, almost like cold udon. The refreshing taste of sudachi was also nice. Next time, I would like to try the regular hot ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Rich Sea Bream Ramen for 1000 yen. The soup is hot and the broth is rich with no fishy smell, very tasty. The noodles are straight and medium-thin, smooth and delicious. Toppings include green onions, shiso leaves, seaweed, radish sprouts, purple onions, and low-temperature cooked chicken. The parking lot at Life Nagai store is open from 9:00 to 24:00, costs 200 yen for 30 minutes. Spent around 1200 yen on shopping before leaving the parking lot.

For lunch today, I visited "Maruzo" near Nagai Station for the first time. It's a small restaurant with a counter of 5 seats separated by partitions. Luckily, there was one seat available, so I sat down, sanitized my hands with the alcohol in front of me, and checked the menu. I decided to order the "Cold Anchovy Ramen (850 yen)" because it was really hot outside after the game, along with a side of "White Rice (100 yen)". After a while, the cold anchovy ramen arrived, with a clear and cold anchovy soup topped with seared chicken thigh chashu, kaiware, finely chopped onions, chopped green onions, and sliced sudachi. I took a sip of the cold anchovy soup and was impressed by the elegant and gentle aroma of the anchovies, the mature and bitter flavor, and umami spreading in my mouth. The soy sauce base had a nice balance of sharpness and sweetness, complemented by the flavor of the aromatic oil. The straight thin noodles were rich in wheat flavor, firm with a strong chewiness, and smooth in texture, blending well with the cold anchovy soup. The chicken thigh chashu had a satisfying chewiness and was full of meaty umami and the sweet taste of the crispy skin. The kaiware added a refreshing spiciness and crunch, while the chopped onions and green onions provided a crunchy texture. Squeezing the sliced sudachi added a refreshing touch to the already cool soup, making for a successful flavor change. It was my first visit, but I was delighted to enjoy such delicious ramen, savoring the lingering taste of the cold anchovy soup in my mouth. It was truly satisfying! Thank you for the meal!

Sea Bream Ramen for 1000 yen. I stopped by as I was nearby. It's a small, clean shop with only counter seating. I ordered the Sea Bream Ramen. The soup had a rounded soy sauce flavor with a strong taste of sea bream. However, there was a slight fishy smell in the umami, which was disappointing. I think adding pepper, shichimi, or yuzu pepper would have enhanced the sea bream flavor. The toppings included two slices of chicken chashu, shiso, green onions, kaiware, and purple onions for color. The price was a bit high, but if it were a bit cheaper, it would have been better.

I stayed longer than planned due to errands and decided to have lunch at a ramen shop near Nagai Station. I ordered the Chicken Ramen with soy sauce and an extra seasoned egg, which cost 880 yen plus 70 yen. The soup made with natural chicken broth was light yet flavorful. The thin straight noodles were cooked slightly soft and paired well with the soup. Toppings included sprouts, chopped onions, and seaweed, which complemented the soup nicely. The pork slices had a good chewy texture and were well-seasoned. Unlike some ramen dishes that come with pepper already added, this ramen focused on the natural flavor of the soup. It's a perfect choice for those looking for a light and satisfying bowl of ramen.

First visit to Maruzo. Today's ramen was the Chuka soba for 860 yen with an extra serving for 100 yen. Despite it being past 2 o'clock, there were already 2 customers ahead of me. It seems like this place is quite popular. The restaurant has only 5 counter seats. The Chuka soba was served in a stylish white bowl with a dark broth. It had rare pork shoulder chashu, small pieces of bamboo shoots, shredded seaweed, kaiware, chopped green onions as toppings. The noodles were straight and thin with medium water content. The soup was a light soy sauce base, but I wished it had more seafood or meat flavor. Overall, the soup felt a bit lacking, but the other toppings were well-prepared. It seems like the menu changes daily at this place. If I have the chance to revisit, I would like to try other menu items as well.

[Chuka Soba Maruzo] "Yamato Chicken Oil Mazesoba" 1000 yen "Large" 100 yen "Extra Meat" 270 yen I immediately decided on this because it has all my favorite words in the name (lol). The sauce is as the name suggests, a soy sauce-based sauce with plenty of chicken oil. Wow, I love this flavor, it's rich and delicious. Plus, adding garlic halfway through gives it even more depth! The large portion was definitely the right choice (*´艸`). The noodles are medium-thick, slightly flat straight noodles. They have a strong texture and a rich wheat aroma, very tasty noodles (*´꒳`*). The chashu originally comes with ground chicken, and when you add extra, it comes with block chashu. The ground chicken is seriously delicious (゚Д゚)ウマー with perfect seasoning that brings out the umami of the meat. Adding extra is a good idea (lol). The owner may seem a bit intimidating at first glance, but when you talk to him, he's very friendly. He even saw me off outside at the end, which I think was partly because there were no other customers at the time. I appreciate this kind of service these days ( •̀ω•́ )و

I discovered a ramen shop called Maruzo near Nagai Park for lunch. It was a small shop with 6 counter seats, and I noticed one seat was available. It was past 12 o'clock, but I decided to go in. I ordered the Chicken Paitan Ramen for 860 yen from the three types of ramen on the menu. The shop was still quiet as other customers had just left. The ramen arrived after about 15 minutes. The soup was thick and rich, with a strong flavor of dried fish. Although the chicken flavor was not very prominent, the aftertaste was very delicious. The noodles were medium-thick straight noodles that were a bit hard to separate. The elegant chicken slices and finely chopped purple onions added a nice touch. The soup was rich, but not overly salty, so I couldn't help but drink too much of it. Thank you for the meal.

Intense Sea Bream Ramen with Extra Meat After attending a funeral for an acquaintance who had passed away, I had a business meeting in Abiko, so I decided to have some noodles nearby. It had been about a year and a half since I last visited this place, and it has changed quite a bit since then. I haven't had sea bream white broth in a while, so I decided to go with that. The bowl arrived promptly, looking very appetizing. Although you can't see the noodles, on top of the sea bream white broth were chicken thigh cooked at low temperature, and thickly sliced roasted pork loin chashu, along with chopped shiso leaves and sprouts. When I slurped the soup, it was incredibly delicious, rich but with hardly any fishy smell. It doesn't use any animal products, so the sea bream salty edge is slightly weaker, but still noticeable. The noodles were thin straight noodles with a good chew, complementing the soup well. The chicken thigh was flavorful and the roasted pork loin was delicious. I couldn't get enough of it. As I continued eating, the shiso leaves naturally mixed in and enhanced the flavors. I had a brief chat with the owner, who mentioned that they had increased the intensity of the sea bream that day, so I consider myself lucky. It was a long time since I had such delicious sea bream white broth. Thank you for the meal.

"Chuka soba" for 860 yen. This was my first visit in about 2 and a half years. I parked my car at a nearby coin parking and arrived around 11:20 before the opening. The owner was outside, so I chatted with him a bit, and he opened the shop a little early for me. I sat at the counter and ordered the Chuka soba. It seems like the menu has been updated, as it was different from the soy sauce ramen I had before. The bowl arrived quickly with two thick slices of chashu, kaiware, onions, and nori. The soup had a brown color with a moderate amount of oil. Let's dig in! The soy sauce flavor stood out, followed by the umami from the broth. The soup was delicious, but I felt like it needed a bit more depth from chicken or seafood. However, the subtle deliciousness kept me interested until the last drop. The noodles were tasty, being medium-thin and straight. The chashu, which looked like ham, was surprisingly delicious with a nice smoky flavor. Since I had plans for another meal, I left a bit of soup behind. Personally, I might prefer the previous soy sauce ramen.
