I went to Kin Karan in Miyashita after visiting the family graves during the Bon festival. It had been about 25 years since I last visited the Miyashita store (the first store?). I remember going there just after it opened, but I've only been there once. Why only once? Well, I'll leave that to your imagination. This visit completes my conquest of all the Kin Karan stores in the city (including takeout, but that's not important). Both my mother and sister say the Kai No Mi (crossbred meat) here is delicious! So, let's see. We ordered 10 servings for 5 people all at once. We ordered: - Kai No Mi x10 - Spicy Miso Hormone x3 - Negi Shio Gyutan (beef tongue with green onions) x3 - Nakaochi Kalbi (short rib) x1 - Tsubo-zuke Gyukarubi (marinated beef ribs) x1 - Thick-sliced Gyutan (beef tongue) x1 - Medium rice x3, small rice x1 - Bibimbap x1 - Lots of drinks While writing this, I realized we forgot to eat the kimchi. The meat kept coming and coming. Tongue, hormone, Kai No Mi, short rib... the table was full. The Kai No Mi plate looked familiar, like something I've seen before at Nitori (a Japanese home goods store). The way they cut the meat... a little more care could be taken. Anyway, let's start grilling! The tongue was sizzling, the hormone was tasty, and the short rib was well-cut. The Kai No Mi, on the other hand, was a bit too thick and the cutting wasn't ideal. The cooking took longer than it should have. Overall, the food was good, but there were some areas for improvement. It was hard to eat at my own pace with only one grill for five people. I couldn't enjoy the food as much as I wanted to. The restaurant had a lot of charcoal, so the heat was intense. I was too busy grilling to eat properly. Normally, I would eat three bowls of rice, but this time I could only manage one. And my family kept taking the meat I was grilling! It was a struggle to enjoy the meal.

Today's lunch was at Yakiniku Kinkarou. They offer lunch now, so if you can't make it for dinner, lunch is a good option. I ordered both ramen and yakiniku, but in regular sizes. They cook the meat before serving, so I had to wait about 15 minutes. The Sagari was tender, but the meat was a bit cold. I would prefer it to be served hot off the grill if possible, as that would be perfect. The ramen was a delicious Yukkejang ramen with a mild level of spiciness.

Yakiniku in Asahikawa: Yakiniku with mountain grape shochu highball, pork belly, beef tongue, wagyu yakiniku, large rice for 2453 yen. I had a hard time deciding on a restaurant in Asahikawa, but this one caught my attention with its delicious smell. The restaurant is spacious with many table seats. I chose the tare flavor for the beef tongue. It was thinly sliced and not bad, but I think salt and pepper would have been better. The pork belly with miso flavor was delicious and went well with the rice. The wagyu yakiniku was fatty and tasty. The cost performance is good, and the restaurant quickly filled up with customers, so it seems to be popular. They even offered gum or ice candy as a service at the end.

Dinner and drinks tonight! We decided on yakiniku. I love dark beer so I ordered a Premium Malt's Stout for 380 yen. I also ordered some chicken meat called "cheetoro" with salt for 370 yen. I like the texture of this meat. We also got thick-cut beef tongue for 840 yen and beef tongue tip for 420 yen. We splurged on the expensive tongue meat too, which was delicious. We tried the wagyu hand-rubbed kalbi with salt for 590 yen, it was very fatty and tender. We also tried boneless pig trotters for 450 yen, which were surprisingly delicious and even my husband, who usually doesn't like them, enjoyed them. We finished the meal with kimchi hot pot soup, full of collagen. It was a great meal!

I've been to this restaurant a few times, but this is the first time I'm introducing it. It's a cheap and always popular yakiniku place, right? Actually... I just had dinner... ( ̄∀ ̄) I suddenly heard a mysterious spell saying "I want to eat yakiniku"... Isn't the word "yakiniku" dangerous? I mean, why does it make you want to eat it? So... at this time, it should be okay, right? It shouldn't be crowded... Let's just eat a little bit ♬ But a little bit is never enough... (´^ω^`;) I ended up eating cold noodles too... haha I don't know anymore... (T^T) Kinkaro-san has a wide variety of menu options and they are reasonably priced ♡ The sauce is not too sweet and delicious, right? The side dishes are also great♪ The title "Hot Face..." is because the charcoal grill has good heat, creating a scorching situation, so you have to protect yourself from the heat while enjoying the menu (laughs) God... I will restrain myself from tomorrow, so please forgive me ♪ I'm satisfied and full now٩(^ᴗ^)۶ Thanks for the meal~♬

Passing by here at night, I always noticed that the parking lot was packed with cars, piquing my interest. Occasionally, when I feel like having yakiniku, I give them a call to make a reservation. Upon checking how busy it is, they told me there's a wait for 2-3 groups right now! So, I tried to secure a seat, but they don't take reservations and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. When I hurried there, the waiting customers had increased, but there were also customers leaving, so it seems like I won't have to wait too long. The restaurant is a large space geared towards families. There are some empty seats, but it seems like they are struggling to keep up with cleaning up. I confirmed in advance that they use charcoal for grilling. I order using a touch panel. Oh, they also have regular menus, so it's convenient to go with multiple people and have someone order while choosing. They offer various items like: Asahi Super Dry for 380 yen, Hormone for 370 yen, Spleen for 390 yen, Bulgogi (Brisket Cut) for 480 yen, Guts for 510 yen, and Affordable Beef Skirt for 510 yen, among others. The taste is decent... It's cheap, and the portions are small, so you can try a variety of dishes. It's the kind of place you go to on a whim! There are several branches in Asahikawa city, and they also sell packaged hormone in supermarkets alongside Charcoal-ya. Oh! Was it last year? They also opened in Kiyota-ku, Sapporo. Will their expansion into Sapporo be successful?

First day of the three-day weekend. After visiting Asahikawa Shrine, we went to AEON. There was a 10-group wait at 5:30 pm. We should have waited in the car. It seems like online reservations are possible. Is it the same system as Nagoyakatei?! Next time, I will make a reservation in advance.

As the title suggests, if you're looking for yakiniku, then Kin Karo is the place to go. Not only the meat, but the side dishes and desserts are delicious too! Depending on the day and time, you may have to wait for more than 30 minutes, but I have been there multiple times.

Everything was delicious. The marbling of the kalbi was perfect, with the fat melting in your mouth. I ordered the sanchu set, which came with green onions and gochujang. The staff showed me how to wrap the meat with the green onions, and it was delicious. I also tried the grilled cheese for the first time, and it was amazing with its rich, crispy cheese flavor. When you go to a yakiniku restaurant, you have to forget about calories to enjoy the delicious food. It was nice that soft drinks were only 108 yen here.

Visited on September 7th (Thursday) during today's Dosukoi Club meeting, we went to this restaurant... or rather, the organizer informed us to meet at Ichijo branch via email but it turned out to be closed for the day, so we switched to Kinkarou in Miyashita. Lately, our meetings seem to be at a lot of yakiniku restaurants. I guess everyone enjoys eating meat since they are all young. Anyway, Kinkarou today was packed due to their all-you-can-eat promotion. We wanted to try a variety of dishes so we quickly ordered from the regular menu. (We also got the all-you-can-drink option!) Everyone was eating heartily... By the way, they have introduced a new ordering system using tablets. They even have a dangerous "refill" button. We had a delicious French meal in Takigawa for lunch today, so we weren't very hungry, but we ended up finishing with Yukkejang Kuppa and left feeling satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

This place is always full in the parking lot, but the interior is spacious and the turnover is fast. The menu is extensive! I love the horumon and shimachou, they are tender and well-seasoned. The negi-tan was not thin, but had a good chewy texture. The cold noodles had watermelon in it - a nice surprise. The negi rice was also delicious and paired well with the meal. They now have a touch screen for ordering, and we even got a free ice candy after paying. Prices are reasonable.

I often come to this yakiniku restaurant (*'ω'*). It has great cost performance, and the owner himself often gives instructions on how to grill the meat when there is time. The prices are very reasonable, and most importantly, the meat is fresh. I have started to want to go to Korea again to properly relearn the Korean I once knew. Oh, it seems they have started electronic ordering to keep up with the times. It's easier to place orders now, but the staff seem to be overwhelmed by how fast the orders come in... Phrases like "I'll be right there" or "Please wait a moment" don't seem to work, as the orders are taken in the order the buttons are pressed. In my case, as soon as I sit down, I first order rice, then pour water or tea, mix gochujang with the sauce, use the oshibori to pick up chopsticks, and start looking at the meat menu (^∇^). Starting tomorrow, early morning fire brigade training begins. After eating, I have to go back home quickly and get some sleep!

Every Tuesday is all-you-can-eat day. So, I went with my colleagues for a chat. The good thing about this restaurant is that it is really cheap. Don't expect high-end flavors like at a fancy place, but for a casual BBQ joint, it's more than enough. And at 2500 yen + tax, there's nothing to complain about. Even on all-you-can-eat days, the staff are good despite being busy. The rice dishes like stone bibimbap are also included in the all-you-can-eat menu. It may reduce the room for meat, but personally, I like the taste of this stone bibimbap so I recommend it. With everyone focused on eating at a BBQ all-you-can-eat, there may not be much chatting, but for a large group, this is one of the top recommended restaurants in Asahikawa.

◎Date of Visit: September 2014 ◎Purpose: Dinner ◎Companions: Colleagues, Mr. Asahikawa and Mr. Kyokan ◎Ordered: Meat, meat, meat & alcohol ◎Impressions: There is very reasonably priced meat available here. It's a delicious yakiniku restaurant. The only downside is that the drinks can be slow to arrive at times (laughs). We arrived in Asahikawa and decided to go for yakiniku with my colleague, Mr. Kyokan. "Let's go for yakiniku," I suggested. "Oh, that sounds good," he replied. "Let's invite Mr. Asahikawa too!" And that's how we ended up calling our colleague, Mr. Asahikawa, to join us for yakiniku. It's a very popular spot, and when we arrived at 6:30 PM, it was peak time with several groups waiting ahead of us. We received a number ticket and waited for about 15 minutes. Finally, our turn came. We ordered lots of meat, all of which were cheap but delicious, and the portions were decent. Both Mr. Asahikawa and I have visited this place multiple times before, so we knew that even the cheaper options here are satisfying. We ate quite a lot! For the finishing touch, we ordered a half portion of bibim noodles. It's great that they offer half portions for many items. The bibim noodles had just the right amount of spiciness and were also delicious. Overall, we were very satisfied with our meal. We will definitely visit again when we're in Asahikawa. Oh, and one thing to note - the only downside is that the drinks can be slow to arrive, so make sure to order them early (laughs). *Additional note: They give you ice cream after your meal, which is a nice touch.
