I bought some salmon kimchi as a souvenir at the Northern Kitchen in Aurora Town, but when I went to the New Chitose Airport store to buy some for myself, they only had spicy salmon kimchi (1,296 yen). It's a frozen product, but it comes with a free ice pack that lasts for 4 hours, so I enjoyed it in the lounge after arriving at Centrair. It's not too spicy, but the rare combination of salmon, vegetables, and kimchi is incredibly delicious! The beer goes down so easily with it. This would make a great gift to bring back. Thank you for the meal.

I will buy souvenirs at New Chitose Airport!! New Chitose Airport is a big terminal with many shops, and I have used it many times, so I almost know where each shop is located. It is difficult to grasp because New Chitose Airport is different in scale from Sendai Airport, but I finally mastered it in recent years. Among the many souvenir shops, the Marui Imai shop of Hokkaido department store is located near the JAL counter. Speaking of which, I was surprised that the JAL counter is almost completely unmanned with high-tech capsules for self-check-in. I bought the following souvenirs at "Kita Kitchen": Kunino's salmon kimchi (frozen) for 1,080 yen each x 3, and Bibai yakitori Fukuyoshi (5 pieces) for 735 yen. "Kita Kitchen" has a wide variety of souvenirs from all over Hokkaido. Since it is a department store shop, they pack the souvenirs properly, so it is good for souvenirs. I chose the salmon kimchi from Yunimachi for my colleagues because I wanted to eat it myself. I bought one for myself as well. Kunio-san makes them diligently, so production is limited. This is only available at the airport, so if you find it, please consider buying it. Salmon and kimchi go well together. The Bibai yakitori is also for myself. It is delicious even when heated in hot water or microwave. I want to go to Bibai again!! That's it for now, thank you~♪ [Tabelog] Rating: 3.15 [Tanuki Evaluation (Lunch)] Overall: 35 points Atmosphere: 7 points Food: 7 points Signature menu: 7 points Cost performance: 7 points Likelihood of revisiting: 7 points

It seems to be a local confectionery from Hokkaido. I didn't know that! The shape and color are cute, so I ended up buying it just by looking at it (*^^*) When I ate it at home, the subtle sweetness and simple taste were delicious^ - ^ It went well with green tea too (*゚▽゚*)

A rare snack that is not often seen. Red silo. It became popular as a snack that Curling's Loco Solare ate during breaks, and it's still popular now. Nowadays, you can see it at airports, but back then, it wasn't around. Most shops now have a limit on how many you can buy even in times like this. I bought two at that time, one for a friend and one for myself. My friend tried it for the first time and sent me a message saying, "Isn't it delicious?" The initial trigger was Loco Solare, but everyone tried it and found it to be a delicious snack, which is why it remains popular. Repeated customers must be increasing!

Welcome.---------- November 2021 ----------Found in the domestic terminal 2F at New Chitose Airport, the souvenir and sweets area offers a selection of superior local specialties and products, perfect for souvenirs from outside Hokkaido. Recently, "Daruma's Mutton Jingisukan" and "Matsuo Jingisukan" have also made their debut. It is recommended to try them at the local site whenever possible. Enjoy!

I have been shopping at New Chitose Airport every time, but I'm starting to run out of ideas for souvenirs. That's when I discovered the red silo. It's a snack from Kita-mi called Seigetsu. It became famous for the Olympic curling team's munching time. I didn't even know it was a cheesecake. They are sold in limited quantities of up to two per person at some stores. When you open the box, each one is further wrapped in a box, like Hagi no Tsuki. When you take it out, it looks like a convenience store Buschi. It has a slightly sticky texture and doesn't come off the cup cleanly, but the taste is rather light. It's nice that it feels like it was made at home.

Picking up a first-time visitor at New Chitose Airport in July 2020. Arrived early, so took a stroll around the airport. Usually, I just depart on trips so I don't usually have time to browse the shops. In times like this, the information from Myレビ's "Queen of New Shops in Ebetsu" comes in handy. Her reviews of new stores at New Chitose Airport are always quick. I bought the "Sorachi Soup Curry Mix" for lunch during my visitor's stay. I've bought this before, and you can easily make "Curry Udon" with it. Spicy "Curry Udon" is also delicious. The sausages from "Wurst Yoshida" are best grilled as "shakoyaki."

The flight was suddenly canceled, so I stayed at the "Air Terminal Hotel" and the next day, I had some time before my rescheduled flight, so I explored the "Shopping World" on the 2nd floor of New Chitose Airport Terminal Building. The "Shopping World" was quiet due to the impact of the novel coronavirus, and some stores had changed their opening hours. The first store I visited was located at the southern end of the "Shopping World". It looked like a typical souvenir shop with an open front, making it easy to enter. They had various Hokkaido specialty products, including some rare items. I purchased two packs of "Ushikurippu (Short Cheese Plain)" for 740 yen each. The "Short Cheese" is a product from Koshoraku-en in Betsukai Town. It comes in small packs with three sticks each, which are thin and light. The color is ivory with many air bubbles, and it has a crispy texture like caramel. It is made by baking natural cheese from eastern Hokkaido, resulting in a simple and refreshing cheese flavor. It tasted delicious, especially when paired with chilled white wine. I might try a different flavor of "Short Cheese" next time, such as basil, black sesame, or black pepper.

On the final day of my 3-day trip to Hokkaido, after eating soup curry and shopping at the airport, I remembered that I hadn't tried the Hokkaido specialty, Zangi. I bought a Zangi stick to take out from this shop. It was priced at 600 yen per stick, which was a bit expensive. It was delicious, but it didn't taste much different from regular fried chicken... but it was juicy and tasty. Thank you for the meal!

I discovered a shop called "Maruyama Potetchi" in the Kita Kitchen at New Chitose Airport, which is only open on weekends in the back streets of Sapporo. In addition to potato chips, they also sell side dishes such as zangi and croquettes. I was intrigued by the limited 50 pieces of the 100 yen "Marquis Croquette" with only 10 left, so I couldn't resist and bought one (lol). Feeling a bit lonely with just one, I also purchased a Hokkaido Corn Croquette for 130 yen. The airport was crowded that day, so I had to take them home to eat. I was looking forward to something special, but they were just ordinary croquettes. The "Corn Croquette" was basically the "Marquis Croquette" with a little corn added, and the 30% price increase seemed a bit expensive. In the end, I should have just bought the potato chips as the shop's name suggests. Thank you, Maruyama Potetchi!

Arrived at New Chitose Airport to catch the flight back home. This 1 night 2 day trip is coming to an end soon. But before that, I need to buy some souvenirs. We set a meeting time and place, then split up to shop around. I chose "Kita Kitchen" as my second stop. They didn't have the Su-Dore (soup dressing) I wanted, so I bought the meat dressing and some other dressings instead. The meat dressing is quite flavorful, goes well with rice and meat. The crispy fried onions add a nice texture. The onion dressing, though small in size, has a good balance of acidity and is easy to eat. It makes vegetables taste delicious too. I also bought some Jagapokkuru. They are sold in many places, so it's convenient to grab them along with other items you're looking for.

This is a select shop for Hokkaido products located at Chitose Airport. It recently moved to a new location on the same floor (2nd floor) and this was my first visit to the shop. I tried two recommended items: Enzan Potetchi (potato chips - original salt flavor) for 350 yen, and Hamanaka-cho Farm Designs Ushi Sabure (cow-shaped cookies) with 5 pieces for 756 yen. The Enzan Potetchi is a freshly fried potato chip made from Hokkaido potatoes. I chose the original salt flavor, which looked dark and soy sauce-like. The taste was oily and intense, but addictive. The Ushi Sabure cookies from Hamanaka-cho Farm Designs are made to resemble real cows, with each piece having a unique pattern. The black color is actually black cocoa, giving the cookies a milky flavor. The shop also offers a variety of souvenirs such as Shiroi Koibito, Royce, Saimi, Sumire, Nishiyama ramen, and salmon flakes, making it hard to choose. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by to buy beer to take with medicine. By chance, I entered a well-established store with Mitsukoshi capital. The selection of beers was outstanding, with a collection of craft beers from Hokkaido. I tried the "Tsuki to Taiyo" IPA, which had a strong coriander flavor. Oh, I forgot to take my medicine! I also tried the "Shiroi Koibito" beer, which contains the famous Shiroi Koibito chocolate. Looking forward to the interesting Koibito beer, Yoshimoto-san. Oops, I forgot to take my medicine again! I bought canned coffee at the gate and took my medicine. Thank you for the meal.

In June 2023, I bought souvenirs at New Chitose Airport. I got Kazuchii and Hotachii at Marui Imai Kita Kitchen. I had been curious about them before, but this was my first time purchasing them. Kazuchii: ¥540 x 2 - a combination of mushrooms and cheese. Hotachii: ¥540 x 2 - dried scallops smoked lightly with cheese. I tried them at home immediately. The smoked cheese and mushrooms are a perfect match for cheese, especially the mushrooms with their crunchy texture adding a nice touch, making them perfect for pairing with alcohol. Both were delicious, but I prefer Kazuchii. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely buy Ebi-chii next time.

I came here looking for the famous red silo that became popular during the munching time. Unfortunately, they said there is no stock today. So, I decided to buy some souvenirs and ended up getting kibidango and yokan. Kibidango is famous in Okayama, but it seems there are a few places nationwide that sell it, including Hokkaido. It's a simple candy-like snack wrapped in an edible film. The yokan used Hokkaido-grown red beans, as most yokan does, so I didn't really notice any difference (lol).

At New Chitose Airport, there are many shops to choose from when looking for souvenirs, with a vast array of products making it difficult to decide. "Marui Imai Kita Kitchen New Chitose Airport Store" is a Hokkaido-produced food item select shop that offers around 1000 items. They have a variety of representative sweets from different brands. I purchased Sanpouroku's Coffee & Milk Rich (750 yen), a limited edition two-layer log-shaped Baumkuchen for autumn and winter. It combines a fragrant coffee Baumkuchen with a rich milk Baumkuchen. The two flavors blend together to create a unique and rich taste that I have never experienced before.

I received a gift from an old friend, a product purchased here. It's so nice! I won't mention the amount spent. The gift was "Short Cheese Single (18 pieces)". It includes 4 packs of plain flavor, 4 packs of basil flavor, and 1 pack of black sesame flavor. Each pack contains 3 pieces of short cheese. The short cheese is still delicious with its crispy texture and rich cheese flavor. I tried basil and black sesame for the first time, and they both paired well with the cheese - the sweet aroma of basil and the nutty flavor of black sesame.

When I went to Hokkaido, I wanted to buy Kunino's salmon kimchi, which I heard they sell at Kitakitchen in New Chitose Airport. However, since this trip to Wakkanai was canceled, I couldn't buy it at the airport. But, since the flight to Wakkanai was canceled, I could visit the shops outside the airport. I found the salmon kimchi at Kitakitchen's refrigerated wagon outside the store. I asked the lady about the salmon kimchi and the salmon kimchi with kelp, and she said the one with kelp is a new product. So, I bought the one with kelp for 1,080 yen. When I got home, I tried it with Atlantic salmon (from Chile), and it was delicious. Hokkaido never disappoints me with their salmon. I always imagine Hokkaido salmon being caught by bears in the river, but this was a different experience.

I received a gift from a friend who lives in Hokkaido, which is the "Ushikurippu (Short Cheese Black Pepper)" that I purchased here. I'm so happy! I won't mention the amount spent. The "Ushikurippu (Short Cheese Black Pepper)" came with four packs of short cheese with coarse ground black pepper topping (3 pieces each). Other than the black pepper, it seems to be the same as the "Short Cheese Plain." It had a crispy light texture, and the richness of the cheese paired well with the flavor and spiciness of the black pepper. It was delicious. I really liked it.
