This hidden gem izakaya restaurant is frequented by celebrities and important people. While the main dish is fugu, this time I ordered a variety of fried foods. We started with a famous Pingree for a toast, followed by a delicious pork and egg dish with crispy coating and rich, creamy egg. The lettuce underneath added a nice touch. We also enjoyed a sashimi platter and a mixed skewer plate with various ingredients. The fugu skin dish was unique and had a collagen-rich texture. The seared fish dish was also a standout. We ended the meal with a complimentary ice cream sandwich and a thick, flavorful sake. Overall, we had a great time at this cozy restaurant with a friendly owner. I recommend making a reservation before going. Cash only.

This was my second visit with a friend who came to play from Tokyo, and just like last time, I was satisfied with the safe ingredients and abundant selection of fresh food! The good cost performance is also pleasing! Above all, I forget the time and end up drinking because of the excellent conversation skills of the owner.

I visited for the first time in 10 years with an acquaintance and the exterior neon lights were very cool, highlighting the deep atmosphere. The pickled ginger namul was a classic dish and the summer striped jack was of high quality. The kushikatsu was crispy and light, with reasonable prices overall. They are open late at night, so it's convenient.

Today, I went to Tamatsukuri. I was invited to a really good izakaya and decided to go. I arrived at the restaurant at 5:30 pm. The restaurant is located about a 3-minute walk from Tamatsukuri Station, along the Nekomagawa River. The exterior looks like a traditional izakaya, but seeing the "tecciri" lantern hanging, it seems that they also serve fugu (blowfish). The interior of the restaurant has only an L-shaped counter with about 10 seats. It was fully booked on this day, and the chef was handling everything alone, so we had to be mindful of when to place our orders. We enjoyed some large plate dishes while waiting for the assorted sashimi. Personally, I recommend bottled beer over draft. And the must-order for everyone, the fresh grapefruit chu-hai, was delicious with plenty of pink grapefruit. The skewers platter that everyone also always orders was delicious as well. We drank, ate, and the bill came out to just over 10,000 yen for two people. Thank you for the meal. [Food] Prices include tax - Myoga Namul (380 yen) ... Not your typical Namul seasoning, but the deliciousness will hook you. The perfect balance of crunchy and tender myoga! - Tai no Ko (600 yen) ... Grated yuzu peel for a refined flavor. The seasoning is just right, not too strong. - Assorted sashimi (price unknown) ... Sashimi packed tightly on a small plate. All the fish were delicious. - Ika Q (380 yen) ... A dish of squid and cucumber. The cucumber, peeled, tasted so good with the flavor soaked in. - Yubiki (800 yen) ... Fugu skin yubiki. Refreshing with ponzu sauce. - Skewers platter (price unknown) ... One skewers platter per group. Asparagus, scallop, beef tendon, shrimp, white fish, onion, pumpkin, etc. The crispy coating is light and not greasy at all. Also, the sauce is delicious. [Drinks] Prices include tax - Bottled beer (550 yen) - Fresh grapefruit chu-hai (500 yen) - Chaser (380 yen)

Yasukiyo-san is a super-class A izakaya located a 3-minute walk northwest from Tamamade Station, on the north side of Higashikobashi Park. It's a place where you can enjoy delicious food at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is casual with only a counter, but the blowfish and Saga beef served here are exceptional. The master's talk is also very entertaining, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to be. It's the kind of restaurant that makes you want to keep coming back.Visited in February 2023 based on a friend's recommendation. Despite its izakaya-like appearance in a deep city, it seems you can enjoy some delicious food here. The interior has a narrow space with a counter for 8 seats. The master is very friendly, making it a very comfortable place to be. We started with the famous fresh grape chu-hai for 500 yen.・Rape blossoms for 380 yen・Sea bream sashimi for 600 yen・Grilled blowfish for 1300 yen・Grilled shirako for 2000 yen・Awabi nuta・Pickled tuna・Clam sake-steamed for 680 yen・Saga beef sukiyaki for 750 yen・Katsu-donFirst, we enjoyed the rape blossoms and sea bream to feel the spring vibes. The gentle dashi and quality ingredients made the sake go down smoothly. And then, the blowfish, which is probably the specialty. We indulged in both the grilled blowfish and grilled shirako generously. It was irresistible. The awabi nuta and pickled tuna with yam and seaweed, along with some clam sake-steamed, were unique dishes that also complemented the sake. We had shochu to accompany them. The Saga beef sukiyaki that other regulars were ordering was also a hit. With plenty of meat for only 750 yen! We added an egg to enjoy the melty texture. Lastly, we tried the special katsu-don not listed on the menu. The thick tonkatsu and gentle egg topping were a perfect match. I can see myself coming back here often. It's a top-class izakaya where you can enjoy delicious food at a reasonable price, drink plenty of sake, and have a fun chat with the master. The easy availability of same-day reservations is also a plus. It's conveniently close to the office, so I have a feeling I'll be a regular here. Can't wait to go back. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had a rare opportunity to have a drink with Mr. PT! We went to a place in Tamatsukuri that I had been really curious about. So, we visited Yasukiyoshi-san. We arrived at the reservation time of 6:00 PM. The restaurant had about 8 seats at the counter, and the chef was handling everything alone. When we mentioned our reservation, we were warmly welcomed with a smile. "Anywhere is fine," he said. So, we took our seats at a nice spot. Let's cheers with the famous fresh grapefruit chu-hai! The menu was posted on the wall at the back of the kitchen. There were so many things that caught our interest. So, we placed our orders. Here's what we ordered: [Food] - Nanohana (Rapeseed Flowers) 380 yen - Tai no Ko (Baby Sea Bream) 600 yen - Tessa (Blowfish Sashimi) 1300 yen - Grilled Shirako (Milt) 2000 yen - Awabi Nuta (Abalone with Miso) ? - Pickled Tuna ? - Hamaguri Sakamushi (Sake-Steamed Clams) 680 yen - Saga Beef Sukiyaki 750 yen - Katsudon ? We enjoyed dishes like Nanohana with a delicate dashi flavor, flavorful Tai no Ko simmered to perfection, and Tessa with a rich blowfish taste. The grilled Shirako had a crispy skin and creamy texture, while the Awabi Nuta was a luxurious treat. The pickled tuna was sweet and savory, and the Hamaguri Sakamushi was a generous serving in a flavorful broth. We also tried the Saga Beef Sukiyaki, which was elegantly sweet and savory, and the Katsudon, which was a satisfying dish to pair with sake. [Drinks] - Fresh Grapefruit Chu-hai 500 yen - Hirezake (Sake with Blowfish Fin) 800 yen - Kenbishi Sake 400 yen x2 Before we knew it, the restaurant was full. With high-quality ingredients, the chef's skillful cooking, and a fun atmosphere, this place is a gem. Next time, I want to try their famous skewers. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Yasukiyoshi - A restaurant I really wanted to visit. It's located near JR Tamatsukuri Station, and it's a small counter-only shop. The owner manages the shop alone and was very friendly. This time, I came for the "raw fugu shirako" and it was absolutely satisfying. They also have other dishes like tessa and tai no ko that go well with sake. The hirazake was so good that I had two servings. And I highly recommend the oyster and chive jeon - it had so many oysters that it was surprising. There are many other dishes I want to try, so I definitely want to visit this place again soon.

When you see the entrance, it's the original, neo-popular bar? No, it's a hardcore popular bar filled with the owner's passion. No, it's Taisho Bar. I've known about this place for a long time but never had the chance to visit. Listening to the many dramas born in this narrow space filled with decades of history, I find it more enjoyable and intriguing than any Academy Award. Like a heroine welcoming you with a swollen face right on the edge, just like real life. In true Osaka fashion, the lineup of blowfish in winter reminds me of the izakaya my parents used to take me to when I was a child. I understand now why everyone gets excited about blowfish, unlike back then when I didn't get it. I was mesmerized by the heel drop and always recorded K-1 fights to watch them over and over again. I loved steamed pork so much! While looking at the celery in front of me, we talk about doing our best as our upbringings differ. We add Saga beef sukiyaki. It's bubbling away, truly the final boss of Romancing Saga. It warms me up inside out. Double circle! I keep getting refills of the hot fin sake, trying to breathe like a fin. It's so warm and comforting. For the finale, we have katsudon! I didn't know they had such a famous dish here. When it arrived, I confessed all my sins. If my mom from the countryside knew, she'd be so sad. If Gori-san said that, I'd remember knitting gloves while sitting in the pot, but I actually used a sewing machine. Despite the volume, the unity of the pork cutlet, egg, vegetables, and rice in the katsudon is exceptional, and I devour it in one go. The volume of the delicious katsudon just happened to be there. That's all there is to it. This is how I realized that continuing something comes from small, steady efforts.

☆彡Yasukiyoshi, a renowned gem in the world of sake, from opening to closing This place is reserved for regular customers who enjoy long drinking sessions, so you can relax from start to finish. The cozy atmosphere makes it easy to stay for over 6 hours, even for those who don't usually enjoy drinking. The food and sake are delicious, creating a heavenly experience. The restaurant has only 8 seats at the counter (plus some extra chairs), and it's rare to find an izakaya with a rating of 3.5 or higher on Tabelog, so it's popular enough to attract customers from Tokyo. I left it to the regular customers to choose and enjoyed a variety of dishes and drinks. Food: - Tai-no-ko (sea bream eggs) - 600 yen - Bai clams - 600 yen - Assorted sashimi (for 3 people) - price unknown - Crab vinegar - 800 yen - Saga beef sukiyaki - 750 yen - Grilled shirako (milt) - 800 yen x 2 - Assorted kushikatsu - price unknown x 2 - Chige hot pot (for 2 people) - price unknown Drinks: - Draft beer - 550 yen - Classic Lager (small bottle) - 550 yen - Fresh grapefruit shochu highball - 500 yen - Hirezake (sake with grilled fin) - 800 yen I started with my favorite dishes like sea bream eggs and Bai clams, then moved on to sashimi. The drinks transitioned from beer to hirezake, and it had been a while since I had hot sake. Grilling the fin enhanced its sweetness and rounded out the flavor. I kept the cycle going with the refreshing grapefruit shochu highball as a chaser. The fresh shirako in the showcase looked delicious, so we had it grilled, and its richness enhanced the drinks even more. All the dishes were delicious, but the Saga beef sukiyaki on the cover was a steal at only 750 yen per serving! We shared it among 5 people, and its strong umami made it taste even sweeter. It was not only the perfect portion size but also a great value for its taste. (Note: You can't order sukiyaki on its own at this restaurant.) The Chige hot pot disappeared quickly among 5 people, and we ended up finishing all the broth as well. We had planned to finish with a rice dish, but the delicious broth made us finish it all. Even though we had been drinking and eating for a long time, the total bill for one person was around 15,000 yen, which was a reasonable price. It's a great place for sake lovers. Even though we didn't treat Yaki-san to drinks, there was a strange sense of camaraderie as if we were drinking together. The sense of unity with fellow drinkers is one of the charms of this place. It's so enjoyable that you might not realize it's already the last train time. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the katsudon this time, so we'll have to save it for next time. Despite the long drinking and eating session, the comfortable price makes it a great place for sake lovers. Cheers! 🍶🍣🍺 I'm on Instagram @ginjirou.star.

Yuzo doesn't need furigana. Tsumitsukuri? Is that a pun? It's a deep izakaya with only 8 counter seats. I entered the restaurant, but only the seats in the back were available, and I couldn't move further back because there were customers in front of me (the space was narrow and I couldn't pass through behind them). The owner raised his voice, "Now everyone, please stand up for the flag raising ceremony." Then the customers in front of me all stood up and let me pass through. Still, it was inevitable that my groin would touch the person in front of me due to the narrow space. There were interesting remarks every time the customers were asked to stand up. The unity between the owner and the customers was amazing. It would be a completely different experience if I had gone alone. This time, my friends from Osaka took me there. This restaurant is famous for various reasons. The food is delicious. The owner works alone, so it may take some time for the order to be served.

A tiny retro Showa-style izakaya with only a counter in Tamatsukuri! This time, I pre-ordered some spiny lobsters and had them prepare a variety of dishes for me. Their specialty is the freshly squeezed pink grapefruit shochu highball, which for some reason never seems to get you drunk no matter how much you drink. And for the finishing touch, their famous katsudon! This time, I had it with katsudon and got the rice on the side. Delicious! Thank you for the meal.

This time, I went to Yasukiyo in Tamatsukuri! There are only 8 counter seats, so it's a precious place where you can usually drop in without a reservation. The restaurant focuses on side dishes, with fugu and hot pots available. We started with some sashimi and chicken fingers, and also had some delicious fried chicken. The sashimi and chicken fingers were definitely tasty! Overall, considering the deliciousness, the prices are quite reasonable. The assorted skewers we ordered at the end were incredibly delicious. Although it's a small restaurant, it doesn't feel cramped and you can enjoy the interesting conversations with the chef. It's the ultimate place where you can enjoy delicious food and drinks. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The pork cutlet was very delicious. It was irresistible! I want to go again with my friends next time. I think I want to eat abalone shabu-shabu next time. In this season, fried goby is a must, delicious and tender! The classic menu is simmered eggplant. I recommend tomato sour as a drink, made with real tomatoes and sour, no additives, the best!

I finally got to visit a restaurant I've been wanting to go to thanks to my friend who made a reservation! It's quite far away so I can't go often. The interior is small but once you sit down, you don't really mind. They have good COVID-19 prevention measures in place! We started with a draft beer and were served myoga and eggplant. Then we had sashimi, with fugu as the main ingredient. They also had white fish sashimi and grilled dishes like tessa and tetchiri. You can also have it as a course meal. The wagyu sukiyaki is a must-try because it's delicious! We switched to sake halfway through and had a great time eating and drinking, spending around 11,000 yen for two people. It's good value for money and a fun experience - highly recommended!

Here, the pinnacle of human talent is packed into a space of just about two tatami mats, making it a truly dreamlike scenario. In such a place, people attract others and bring happiness, creating a blissful space where everything seems to come together naturally and amplify. Is this what they mean by a utopia?

I recommend making a reservation and visiting the popular counter-only izakaya in Tamamizu. We had: - Fresh flounder sashimi with ponzu sauce - Dutch-style eggplant stew (mysterious but delicious) - Oyster kushikatsu (hot and crispy) - Pork cutlet rice bowl (amazingly thick and delicious) The visual presentation was great and the food was incredibly tasty. The restaurant is popular among celebrities, as evidenced by the photo of Teruo Terada and the owner on the wall. The pork cutlet rice bowl was especially delicious.

I visited the popular izakaya "Yasukiyo" in Tamamizu for the first time after several failed attempts due to reservations being full. Despite initially refusing interviews, the shop finally allowed me in for my first visit, as it was featured on the TV show "Matsumoto Family's Holiday" with Matsumoto-san. The owner was friendly and unique, often interjecting with the humorous phrase "Osharu to oo~ri." I enjoyed a variety of dishes including simmered abalone, Saga beef sukiyaki, and a delicious katsudon. The ingredients were high quality and each dish was perfectly seasoned, making them all enjoyable and paired well with the drinks. The crispy katsudon at the end was particularly outstanding. I would definitely return to try more of their dishes.

"Yasukiyo" in Tamamizu, Knights. It's the beginning of a drunken night with the usual crew. As someone who was working nearby until 5 minutes ago, the ice-cold beer is like premium gasoline. The appetizer is "Sweet Shrimp in Shaoxing Wine & Soy Sauce," with a nice mellow sweetness. Followed by boiled abalone in vinegar miso, the good quality ingredients keep coming. The dishes like simmered eggplant, taro, carrot kinpira, and others have that comforting taste of home-cooked meals. The Pink Grapefruit Shochu Highball is a special drink at Yasukiyo. It's filled with chunks of half a large pink grapefruit, and the deliciousness is irresistible. For more delicious dishes and drinks, check out "Kaorin@Food Writer's Drunken Diary"! Yasukiyo in Tamamizu is a gem. I'm in love with the master's flavors and skills, and if I lived nearby, I would visit every week. Thank you again, master!

Third stop on the drinking tour at Tamatsukuri Station! I wonder if the next place will be a bar? It's only 8 o'clock! Maybe I'll have one more drink somewhere and get completely wasted~ As I was walking, I happened to come across a place and decided to go in! There were already two customers inside. I ordered a barley soda and some sukiyaki to eat. The sukiyaki was okay, nothing special, but they had a good selection of fish on the menu, giving off a strong impression of being a fish-oriented place! This establishment has been in business for over 20 years, going through closures and reopenings in this area. The owner was very friendly, and even gave me some recommendations for other bars to visit! By the time I left, more customers had come in, and the place was now full. I was told at the next place I visited that it's hard to get a table here without a reservation, as it's a popular spot among locals. Looks like I've been lucky with my choices of bars so far!

Google search for "Bishoku Katsudobu"! A Las Vegas in Tamatsukuri!? (laughs) A lively, colorful neon-lit izakaya! It is a small restaurant with only a counter, but it is always crowded with regular customers! It is quite difficult to make a reservation at this restaurant, but luckily we were able to get one. As for the food, you can enjoy blowfish and daily side dishes! On this day, we had grilled blowfish, tessa, oyster fry, assorted skewers, Saga beef sukiyaki, and finished with a pork cutlet rice bowl! I don't usually eat blowfish, but it was good (^-^) The Saga beef sukiyaki was served piping hot and was very satisfying! And of course, the pork cutlet rice bowl for the finish. The regular customers were friendly and it felt like a fun local restaurant. I would like to go back in winter to enjoy the blowfish again! Thank you for the meal.
