Curry is not the popular spicy spice curry, but a shop that offers rich and deep European-style curry. "Shirogane-tei" is the name of the shop. The main branch is very popular, and I once waited in line for nearly an hour in the steamy rain to eat there, but it was raining again on this day. I visited the branch in the convenient underground mall directly connected to Honmachi Station. Established in 2007, this shop offers a simple yet high-quality Amakara curry similar to Osaka's famous "Indian curry". Sweet! Spicy! It's an endless loop that stimulates your appetite! This is a popular European-style curry shop in Osaka.
- Eggplant Curry 900 yen
- Cheese Topping 150 yen
I had the "spinach curry" at the main branch, but the curry at Shirogane-tei is superb with a cheese topping! The first bite is sweet and fruity, but the spiciness quickly follows. If you're not careful, your mouth will be on fire, so for me, adding cheese as a topping to make it milder is just right. Topping with a raw egg instead of cheese is also popular. The hot eggplant blends well with the creamy roux! The delicious rice, cooked slightly firm, mixes well with the curry of a looser texture.
Taking advantage of its location in an office district, the interior has only counter seats. The shop is run by the owner alone, but it is speedy, with no wasted movements, and it is pleasant to watch! The heartfelt and courteous service is impressive. Foreign tourists must be amazed by this kind of Japanese service. The ultimate "one plate" curry at Shirogane-tei is a must-try. Once you take a bite, you'll definitely become a fan! While trendy spice curry is good, I felt a deep sense of pride in Osaka's European-style curry. Thank you for the meal!

After a long time, I visited Shiroginte Curry. The main store had a long line, so I came to this shop. It's a counter-only shop, and the master is working alone efficiently. I ordered the classic pork cutlet curry with eggplant topping. ◼️ Pork Cutlet Curry 950 yen ◼️ Eggplant Topping 150 yen The rice is neatly arranged on the plate, topped with freshly fried pork cutlet and eggplant, and served with curry. The curry has a rich sweetness followed by a deep spiciness. It's delicious with plenty of umami. The pork cutlet is crispy and cut into bite-sized pieces, which is nice. The eggplant is fried to a plump texture. Ordering it was the right choice. There are pickles on the table, with onions and Fukujinzuke. I love these onion pickles. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Pork cutlet curry (950 yen) with extra toppings (150 yen). If you like sweet curry with a bit of spiciness, you might enjoy this. It's quite spicy, so adding cheese topping is recommended. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with only a counter seat available.

Introduced by a colleague, I arrived at a popular curry restaurant in the underground of Honcho at 12:00, just in time for the second seating. I waited for about 10 minutes and was seated smoothly. The menu is simple and easy to choose from. I ordered the popular katsu curry with a raw egg on top. The size of the katsu cut was perfect! Also, the spicy European-style curry is the best. Next, I'll try the eggplant curry with cheese topping.

First of all, the greeting is the best! It's always nice to be greeted with a cheerful greeting from the chef at the entrance. The taste is simply the best with the perfect balance of spiciness and sweetness in the curry. I love the eggplant curry that you can eat at the Itubiru shop. I used to dislike eggplant, but after eating the eggplant curry here, I started to like it. Lastly, the pickles?! The onion pickles that can be served with the curry are irresistible. They are sweet and perfectly balance out the spiciness of the curry, so once you try them, you'll be hooked. I go there once a week. LOL

I visited before 1 pm on a regular day. I was able to enter without waiting because it had rotated once. The topping menu was different from the main store I had been to before, so it felt fresh. This time, I chose the cheese topping. I took a bite and it was spicy and delicious!! The spiciness comes later, but that's also the charm of a tasty curry. Some people around me ordered a combination of cutlet and eggplant toppings, doubling up.

I heard that the curry specialty restaurant "Shirogane-tei" in Honmachi is incredibly delicious, so I decided to go check it out. I went before the opening time, but there was already a line. Luckily, I was able to get in on the first round after the opening. The interior of the restaurant seemed to have mostly middle-aged and elderly men. Many people were ordering the curry with tonkatsu and raw egg, but I opted for a simple tonkatsu curry. The restaurant only had a counter, so you can watch the curry being prepared right in front of you. The rice is piled onto a plate and then firmly pressed down with a ladle, for some reason. Soon, the tonkatsu curry arrived. The tonkatsu was finely chopped and the faded letters of "Shirogane-tei" on the white plate gave a sense of the restaurant's history. There were two types of condiments, and you can add as much as you like to your plate. The first bite was surprising - sweet at first, then the spices kicked in! It was really interesting with a great balance of flavors. The reason for pressing the rice onto the plate became clear - it makes it easier to scoop with a spoon! The tonkatsu was expertly cut to fit perfectly on a spoon when scooping rice, making it easy to eat. The rice holds together well, so you can finish it cleanly without leaving anything on the plate. The tonkatsu is large but easy to eat, no need to struggle with cutting it. The taste was wonderful, and the thought put into the ease of eating was impressive. It's no wonder there's always a line. I would love to go back if I have the chance.

I went right after they opened, luckily got in without a wait. Everyone had different toppings, but since it was my first time, I just went with the tonkatsu curry. It was sweet at first but then the spiciness kicked in, giving it that Osaka-style curry flavor. Personally, I prefer Indian curry though. But they don't have tonkatsu toppings there... If they did, it would be amazing. Next time I visit, I'll go for the extra large tonkatsu curry with tonkatsu topping, haha.

Location is Honmachi. Morning at the capsule hotel. Hmm, what should I do now? Since it's Saturday and a popular restaurant is not crowded, I think I'll go for lunch. Yes, let's try Shirogintei. Many people consider it the number one in Osaka. They serve European-style curry, not spicy curry. After having coffee for breakfast, I walked to Honmachi. Arrived at the restaurant a little early... but they were temporarily closed due to electrical issues... seems to be happening a lot lately. Bad timing, haha. However, I really wanted to try Shirogintei, so I found another branch called "Shirogintei Itobiru-ten" and walked there. I arrived just before they opened. A young guy was energetically handling everything by himself. Quite a lot of seats available... I ordered the Tonkatsu Curry, large size, with a raw egg topping! It cost 1200 yen for the set. It took about 20 minutes for the curry to arrive, probably because they were busy cutting the tonkatsu. Finally, the highly praised Shirogintei curry arrived. A beautiful gradient of egg, tonkatsu, rice, and curry. I tried it from the outside, then broke the egg into it. It's not just a regular curry or tonkatsu. It starts off sweet, but then gets quite spicy. I wonder how they do it? When I left the restaurant, I was sweating quite a bit, haha. It's like an evolved version of homemade curry, better than mediocre spicy curry. The owner was also interesting, with a fun and lively attitude typical of Osaka curry shops. Just like Columbia Eight, there are many funny and lively owners. I'd like to visit the main branch next time.

I visited the restaurant on Tuesday around 6:30 pm. The interior was clean with only a counter, and there were hardly any customers yet. I decided to try their famous Tonkatsu Curry (950 yen) today! The curry was prepared efficiently, and it was served in less than 10 minutes. When I took the first bite, the richness and sweetness of the curry spread in my mouth, followed by the spiciness. The flavor was just perfect and I couldn't stop eating. The spiciness might be a bit strong for those who are not used to it, but the tonkatsu was just right in thickness and the coating was crispy. I finished the meal quickly, enjoying the side dishes on the table as well. The taste was almost the same as the main branch, so this place might be a hidden gem for a quick meal. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

I visited the curry specialty restaurant "Shirogane-tei" Itubiru store for the first time. I have been to the main store twice before. It is located on the B2F of "Itubil" directly connected to Honmachi Station on the Osaka Metro. The unique small "Itu" is interesting. The deliciousness of the classic "Tonkatsu Curry" (950 yen) has a gravitational force like a black hole. However, this time, I resisted it and added "Shrimp Fry" (150 yen) and "Raw Egg" (50 yen) as toppings to the "Curry" (750 yen). There are pickled onions and fukujin pickles. The gentle vinegar and saltiness of the pickled onions are irresistible. (゚д゚) Delicious!!!!! I see, this is how the toppings are arranged. The rice is flat, so it's easy to put toppings on it. If you put another egg yolk on the left side, it might look like the "Tower of the Sun" or the face of "Ultraman." ^.^ The raw egg is only the yolk. I'm fine with the whole egg, but what about the large amount of egg white? While thinking about that... ( ̄Q ̄;;) ... Spicy (゚д゚) Delicious! Thank you very much! Prepare several servings together, shape the rice flat on a plate with a scoop, pour the predetermined amount of curry roux, arrange the toppings, and serve. The efficient and waste-free movements following the manual are impressive. "Mickey's Daily Life": http://mickeyjapan.blog.fc2.com/

Today, I tried the curry rice at Hommachi-mae again. It's a traditional style curry, slightly spicy. The pork cutlet is cheap, but the eggplant is expensive, and the large portion is also pricey. It seems like everything has gotten more expensive. It's hard to go there because it's far and there's always a long line.

Today I had lunch in Honmachi. I finally got to visit the curry specialty shop Shirogintei Itubiru store, which always has long lines. Today there was only one person waiting outside, so I decided to line up. After a few minutes, a few people came out and I was able to be seated after about a 2-minute wait. I ordered the Tonkatsu Curry for 950 yen. The curry arrived in about 5 minutes. The curry sauce was sweet and well simmered, very delicious. The tonkatsu was crispy and freshly fried. The onion pickles were incredibly tasty. There were a lot of onions at the back of the counter, and the master was making pickles in between cooking. The curry at Shiroginte is elegant, carefully made, and incredibly delicious. It's addictive. Thank you for the meal.

My boss heard from a friend about a delicious curry restaurant, so we all went there after work! If you don't take the wrong exit, you can go out of the ticket gate without getting wet in the rain. I saw a lot of pictures of curry with a raw egg on top on Tabelog in advance, so I decided to order the same menu without hesitation. At first glance, it didn't seem like a lot... and even though it's labeled as specializing in spicy curry, I didn't feel any spiciness when I ate it. It actually tasted quite sweet, and the spiciness came later, slowly building up. It was delicious! I'm not good with spicy food, but because it was the slow-building type, I could enjoy it very much. After finishing the meal, I thought I could have even eaten a large serving, but I also started to feel full slowly afterwards (laughs). There was something like pickled onions that wasn't in the picture, and when I topped it with that and ate it, it changed the taste and I could feel a different kind of deliciousness. It had been a while since I had eaten curry outside, but I was happy to encounter such a delicious curry. Thank you for the meal!

I've always wanted to try Shiraginte. It's right near Honmachi Station, and I had the impression that it's crowded during the day, but it was quiet at night. The sweet sauce is followed by a strong spiciness. I added a raw egg, but since I like spicy food, I could have done without the egg.

I came across a curry restaurant on Instagram by chance. They only serve curry. When you take a bite, it starts off sweet, then gradually becomes spicy, and the more you eat, the more delicious it gets. It's a mysterious experience. I feel like I have to go there when I visit Osaka. They top it off with shrimp fry and egg.

Good morning, it's @zukasama.maria and I want to indulge in a little luxury as a salaryman. I visited Shiroganeitei at Honmachi Station, a representative curry restaurant in Osaka. Their Osaka-style sweet and spicy curry is similar to a famous spicy curry restaurant where you can add toppings. I love the famous spicy curry restaurant, but I also really enjoy Shiroganeitei's delicious curry. I happened to be in Honmachi and decided to try it, but now that I have a reason to go to Honmachi regularly, I plan on visiting Shiroganeitei often. Thank you for the meal. Thank you for always liking and commenting. I would be delighted if you could follow me.

The underground mall connected to Honmachi Station, Lunch, was a bit crowded as it was just opening. I had to wait about 20 minutes for my turn. They took my order quickly, so once I entered the restaurant, my food came out right away. I ordered the tonkatsu curry with an extra raw egg for 1,000 yen, which was a good deal. The curry sauce initially seemed a bit sweet, but then the spiciness kicked in later. By the time I finished eating, I was starting to sweat a little. The portion size was smaller than expected, so getting the large size might be a good idea.

There is a famous curry restaurant with two locations in the Honmachi area. I arrived 30 minutes before the 11:30 opening time and there was no one waiting. However, soon a few people started to gather, and before opening, there were about 20 people waiting. It's a popular place. I was the first to enter and ordered the eggplant curry with topping of pork cutlet and egg. The first bite tasted sweet, but then the spiciness became more pronounced. Spicy... delicious... The eggplant harmonized the spiciness and tasted delicious. The pork cutlet was just the right size and good. However, they have quietly raised the price of the cutlet. A delicious curry with a harmonious blend of sweetness and spiciness... But it's similar to Indian curry, isn't it? (laughs)

I went there on a Friday night. I was the last customer of the day. It seems like they might have their last order at 8:30 pm because I arrived exactly at that time. It had been over 5 years since I last visited the main branch of Shirogane-tei. The cheese and tonkatsu topping was cut into small pieces and served as one of the ingredients in the curry. This was a bit challenging. The cheese made the spicy curry milder. It was delicious. Sweet, spicy, and amazing. Thank you for the meal.

I saw the lights on at Shirogane-tei on my way home from work and felt like having some spicy curry, so I decided to stop by. I ordered the large portion of curry with tonkatsu and topped it with a raw egg. I thoroughly enjoyed it and finished every last bite.
