Saturday evening, past 8 o'clock. I decided to revisit this place because everything is cheap. Only one regular customer was sitting at the counter. Usually, this place is packed, but today it's surprisingly empty. There was a long wait before a silent server came from the back. They seemed very unfriendly, which was surprising. I ordered a draft beer, which was a large glass for only 320 yen, a great deal. The other drink options were also cheap. As for food, my friend wanted a rice dish but they were out of rice. Oh well. They only had yakisoba and lots of appetizers. We filled up on the macaroni salad they served as a starter, and then ordered some skewers. It took almost 30 minutes for the food to arrive, even though there were no other customers. I wonder why. But the food was delicious and cheap. Can't complain. We also ordered more skewers and cold tofu. We ordered more drinks, but when we did, the server seemed surprised so we had to speak louder. However, since they didn't expect more customers and had leftover ingredients that needed to be used up before the day off tomorrow, they gave us complimentary egg rolls and chicken cutlets. It was a generous portion and very tasty. We appreciated it. Suddenly, the server became more friendly and easy to talk to. It was strange. But the food was delicious and cheap. The service was a bit cold, but it felt like being taken care of by a tired mother after a long day at work. If you don't mind that, it's totally fine. The food was delicious and affordable. They even had shin-koyaki. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

This is my first visit. I descended the spiral staircase. There are 4 table seats and a counter. It seems like there is only one staff member working. There is one customer at the counter, and two table seats are occupied, so it seemed quite busy. People who like friendly service might feel a bit unsatisfied, but the food goes well with beer! It seems like they specialize in skewers, but I personally preferred the appetizers like tamagoyaki and takoyaki. The meat on the skewers was a bit tough. We had 2 beers, my partner had 2 beers and 1 lemon sour, as well as salted sea squirt, tamagoyaki, takoyaki, pork intestine, chicken neck, and chicken wings. It cost around 4,500 yen for the two of us. A beer costs 320 yen, and a lemon sour costs 250 yen! It's quite cheap, right? It seems smoking is allowed. Thank you for the meal.

At around 12:00 in 2022, I was thinking about what to eat for lunch when I remembered a restaurant in the area. The restaurant had a menu board outside, and I went down a spiral staircase to enter the stylish establishment. Although the lunch rush had passed, I decided to order the pork and tofu set meal as both the yakitori bowl and warm tanuki soba were sold out. The meal arrived at my table in about 5 minutes, complete with a raw egg. The set meal consisted of pork belly, white radish, onions, tofu, and was seasoned just right. I enjoyed it with rice topped with raw egg, miso soup with tofu and finely diced leeks, and pickles. The restaurant offered a more satisfying meal than a convenience store bento, even for those who arrived just before closing time. Itadakimasu!

Having a solo drink on the main street. After enjoying some whiskey at my hideaway, Roach Roaster, I decided to wander into this nearby place. But I'm feeling hungry... I love yakitori so much, just the smell of charcoal gets me excited. Let's start with a beer... no, I'm already drinking one, so a highball it is. Highball is like the perfect student that goes well with any dish. A sip and it's great! Even though I'm alone, a solo drink can be enjoyable in its own way. VIVA solo drinking! Maybe I should start a Solo Drink Appreciation Committee. Here comes the chicken liver and gizzard. They're small and easy to eat, with a perfect crunchiness and just the right amount of salt. Delicious! Lemon sour, please! Now, my favorite, moon-viewing tsukune. It's tender with a good texture, no cartilage, just a classic tsukune. When mixed with the mild sauce and egg yolk, it becomes a sophisticated parent-child skewer... so tasty! Great! Let's have a brandy on the rocks! Feeling like a true Edoite. Hehehe, even though it's a yakitori place, the grilled squid is perfect... oops, that's a phrase from a different era. But it's still delicious, right? It's like a sailor's business card... goes well with brandy too. This place has affordable drink prices and consistent food quality. It seems like a convenient spot to visit if it's nearby. Hehehe... starting to feel a bit tipsy. Time for a strategy meeting with myself on where to go next... yes, yes, this is it, my own unique worldview. That's why I can't stop solo drinking. But next time, I want to chat with someone... right. Oh, am I just a lover of alcohol after all?

Dinner is ready, but I feel like having a little drink. That's when a place with a "drinking set" would be nice. While this place doesn't offer a set, the prices here are perfect for a casual drink. Located near the TV Tower, in the basement of a popular old cafe called Cafe La Bastille, you'll find this hidden gem down a spiral staircase. It's been over 20 years since I last descended these stairs, which used to lead to a stylish Italian restaurant. Opening the door cautiously, I was greeted warmly by a friendly lady behind the counter. I ordered a Black Label whiskey for a delightful 320 yen (tax included), what a steal! I nibbled on the appetizer for 300 yen and browsed the menu. The grilled young chicken caught my eye, but with a 40-minute cooking time, I opted for a variety of 5 assorted skewers instead. The master chef was focused on grilling them to perfection, and they were indeed delicious. I added a lemon sour for 250 yen and enjoyed the meal with a couple of drinks. The bill came to 1,620 yen, and I left feeling satisfied. As I ascended the spiral staircase back to reality, I thought, "Ah, that was a great meal. I'll definitely come back again!"

I operate a cost-effective lunch service from 11:30 to 14:00 on weekdays (*'ω'*). The yakitori donburi (550 yen) comes with 4 small pieces of chicken skewers and a small chicken meatball on top. The charcoal-grilled flavor and delicious sauce mix well with the rice, making it very tasty♬ It also comes with pickles and miso soup. Considering the price, it's very satisfying!! As a fan of fried fish, I'm also interested in the mixed fry set, and the simmered hamburger set that the person at the table behind me ordered looked delicious too. I'm curious about the tipsy set for 1280 yen, which includes 2 favorite drinks under 300 yen each, an appetizer, simmered offal, and 3 skewers. I'd like to visit this restaurant again for both lunch and dinner.

I was wandering around and decided to visit this place while looking at reviews from MyRebi-san. Do we have to go above ground? After wandering around, I finally arrived... What a surprise! This used to be a delicious Italian restaurant about 10 years ago! I had been wanting to come back with a wonderful friend for 10 years. It's amazing! I was shocked that the Italian restaurant was gone (*´꒳`*). The interior remains the same. It's Italian. It feels nostalgic. The female staff was surprised when I mentioned it. 10 years is like a different era, right? It was crowded according to the reviews, but in this world's current situation, I was the only one there (laughs). A few more groups arrived later. I ordered: Chicken skewer (140 yen), Handmade meatball (140 yen), Ham cutlet (160 yen), Beer (280 yen). The beer was so cheap! The skewers were also reasonably priced. Ham cutlet is essential for a casual drink (o^^o). It was very relaxing, nostalgic, delicious, and very comfortable for me. I can't hide my shock that the Italian restaurant is gone. I wanted to eat it again. Thank you for the meal. The BGM of the Backstreet Boys was soothing.

It's pouring rain at 5:30 PM on March 10, 2020, but I hesitated and wondered if I was being tricked... I found a sign in front of a local building, indicating that the store is located on the basement 1st floor. When I found it, my heart fluttered a bit. A spiral staircase that makes you want to go down. I slowly descended one step at a time. I'm not drunk, so I'm not dizzy. The rusty iron plates, the faded paint. A spiral staircase that only goes down, not up. It even feels like you're tripping into a different space. I felt like someone would tap my shoulder and ask me a riddle. If I can safely return home, I'll slowly climb this spiral staircase after drinking. Holding the handrail, keeping my composure. When I opened the door, I was greeted by modest lighting and a modest welcome. Maybe they don't want to liven up the atmosphere inside the store. Only the crab hanging on the counter is friendly. I can't help but feel jealous of its unchanging beauty. We exchanged greetings after a long time and toasted with beer. I ordered skewers and simmered motsu (offal) and took a sip of beer. The 280 yen beer tastes surprisingly good. Finally, my disturbed mind regained its composure. The menu shows that drinks are cheaper than food. I'm surprised, how do they make a profit? The food includes skewers, deep-fried dishes, simmered dishes, and a soup to finish. You can eat with peace of mind as everything is homemade in the store. After beer, you can have 280 yen for 2 cups of hot sake. It's ridiculously cheap, which makes me worry. It must be tough to make and serve everything honestly. But is it because they do that, they can offer such low prices? They must be working hard. After eating and drinking a lot, the bill comes. I wonder how much hot sake I drank. It's almost too cheap, I feel guilty. Thank you, it was a feast. See you next time. After saying goodbye to the staff, I head outside. I drank a lot, but I should be able to return home safely. The joy of stepping on the stairs one by one is right here.

I clicked "want to go" after reading Chibatan's review, and thought "I definitely have to go" after reading Kegani's review of this restaurant. It was a little before 6:00 p.m. on a Wednesday. There were no customers when I arrived, but there were 3 customers after me. Maybe due to the influence of the coronavirus, there were very few customers and it felt lonely. I was seated at the end of the counter. First, I ordered a Sapporo Black Label for 280 yen. At this place, at this price, a beer in a glass is a good deal! The appetizer, moyashi kimchi, was quite spicy and went well with the beer. I ordered another beer! I was in the mood for yakitori, so I ordered tori-sen for 140 yen, buta-sen for 140 yen, and chicken liver for 130 yen. The pork was juicy, the chicken was tender. I asked for the liver with sauce, it was cooked rare with a sauce that was either red or bloody, I couldn't tell. Mmm, satisfying! I also ordered the Knowan chicken tataki for 680 yen. It was quite a lot for one person. On top of the chicken were onion slices with a sweet sauce, and lemon and wasabi as condiments. I'm not a fan of sweet sauces, but when I dipped it in wasabi, it gave a strong kick. I really like the powerful wasabi. I spent 50 minutes there and the total payment was 2,145 yen. I hope the coronavirus goes away soon!

After work, I decided to have a drink around here and found this place through a search near the TV Tower. Although I had passed by many times and knew of its existence, I had never actually been to this place. It has a bistro-like atmosphere with a charming staircase leading down. It was a bit crowded around 7:30 pm on a Friday, but luckily I was able to find a seat. I opened the menu and was surprised by how cheap everything was. I started with a black label and ordered cabbage miso mayo, kinkan stew, pork skewers, tsukune with egg, hinakawa, and chicken liver. The black label was only 280 yen, which was incredibly cheap. Non-alcoholic drinks were 330 yen, which was also very affordable. The other drinks were also very cheap. As for the menu, stew isn't a common dish in Hokkaido, but this stew had a familiar taste which I enjoyed. The cabbage miso mayo was surprisingly good. I usually don't like cabbage sticking out, but with miso mayo, I found it quite appetizing. The yakitori was also delicious. For dessert, I had mountain wasabi tofu and chicken dashi somen. Chicken somen was a great way to end the meal. This place is just right for a quick bite and drink before heading home. I don't usually drink around this area, but I will definitely come back next time. The prices are very affordable and cater to the masses, which is great. The only downside is that there are a lot of smokers, making it a bit smoky.

I feel more comfortable ordering at cheaper restaurants. And I prefer having draft beer in a mug. This place is perfect for that! No time restrictions or specific days, beer is always 280 yen! Sour drinks are 200 yen! And no strings attached! Give me beer! Black label in a mug, please. The appetizer is macaroni salad, doesn't really have much taste. They also have Asahikawa specialty called "shinko yaki" but it takes about 40 minutes. I'm trying it for the first time! In the meantime, we ordered some skewers. Two skewers of chicken tenderloin with wasabi on top. It took almost 30 minutes to arrive. We were the only customers when we arrived, maybe that's why it took a while to start cooking? And for some reason, the quantity was different? Clearly 4 pieces and 3 pieces. They are delicious though. I must have had at least 5 beers by now. Is it here yet? Our ordered "shinko" is slowly being grilled in a corner. After over an hour of waiting, the eagerly awaited "shinko" finally arrives. It's cut into easy-to-eat pieces. The skin is crispy and the inside is juicy and fluffy! The seasoning is perfect and it's so delicious! For 780 yen, it's a great deal. I was already full and couldn't order anything else, but it's delicious and affordable! There are many other reasonably priced items on the menu that I'm curious about! It might be a hidden gem. It wasn't crowded at all. It actually took me about 40 minutes to find the place. It was cold... Maybe it's not crowded because it's hard to find. But once you remember the location, it's a very comfortable place to be! I'll definitely go back again. Thank you for the meal! Yay!

Sapporo City, Odori Nishi 1-chome. An izakaya located underground, down the spiral staircase on the middle road on the east side of Lutrois building. I found out about this place through chibatan's review and decided to visit. I arrived right after the opening, being the first customer. The place seemed to be mostly reserved, but they kindly allowed me to stay until the reserved customers arrived. As mentioned in the review, the drinks were cheap. I ordered a highball, which had a slightly different taste, more like a spirit base with added aroma than whiskey. The appetizer was chilled tofu topped with enoki mushrooms, a delicious dish that seemed like it would be on the menu. Within 10 minutes of sitting down, the place started filling up quickly, mostly with salarymen on their way home from work. It seemed like most of the customers were regulars. I ordered cabbage and pork skewers, red sausage skewers, and tsukune. Since it's a yakitori place, the skewers took a bit of time to arrive. The cabbage came with two types of sauce, southern miso and mayonnaise, and tasted great dipped in the miso. The skewers were generous in size, especially the pork skewers and tsukune. The red sausage had precise cuts and was a delightful addition. I realized I had never eaten red sausage as a child, only coming to enjoy it as an adult. I mainly had skewers, all of which were delicious and filling. I added a hot sake, which was also quite cheap. Overall, the drinks were reasonably priced and the food was satisfying. Thank you for the meal.

There is a yakitori restaurant that my acquaintance told me about. They warned me to be careful of the spiral staircase! I happened to pass by nearby, so I had to go and check it out! And to top it off, I found out that they have my favorite beer coming soon! This calls for an attack! As my acquaintance said, I cautiously descended the staircase, which seemed slippery in the winter. Beyond the door, I wondered if they were open. Phew, they are! I started with a Black Label beer and the complimentary konjac salad. You can order yakitori skewers individually, so I chose chicken cartilage, grated daikon with ponzu sauce, and green onions. I also tried the spicy wasabi leaf skewers, which paired well with the grated daikon. The yakitori pieces were small but perfect for those with a light appetite. The green onions were sweet and complemented the crunchy chicken cartilage. I then added a mountain wasabi tofu dish, which was generously topped with wasabi and bonito flakes. As I sipped my third beer, I couldn't resist ordering the simmered tripe dish, which promised to boost my energy. The piping hot stew was comforting and delicious. I ended up eating more than I planned and struggled on the way back home. I carefully descended the spiral staircase, knowing that I'll be back soon.

After work in November 2019, I casually stopped by a place called "Letrois" next to the street. There was a small signboard as a landmark, and I went down the spiral staircase to the basement. The entrance with no curtain or shop name made me hesitate to go in... Are they really open? Despite the initial uneasiness, I decided to enter. It was past 8 pm on a weekday, and the place was lively with salarymen. Since I was alone, I sat at the counter. The drinks were surprisingly cheap! Beer for 280 yen, Oolong Highball for 200 yen, and Shochu for 300 yen. Even sake was only 400 yen! And these prices are available anytime! I ordered a Green Tea Highball, which was delicious. The appetizer cost 300 yen and was a kimchi-flavored namul-like dish. For snacks, I had three skewers of deliciously fatty pork belly yakitori. The tsukune (meatball) was a bit firm, but tasty. The meat-stuffed shiitake mushroom was filled with the savory flavor of the mushroom. Overall, I had three drinks and the total bill was just under 1500 yen. Thank you for the meal!

I came to Hachikata-san, located in the basement of a building near Sapporo TV. After having lunch, I relaxed at the cafe on the first floor. At that time, I was really curious about the izakaya in the basement, so I decided to come here to drink after the training. It's still a bit early, so I'm the only customer. I sit at the counter. Two women seem to be running the place. When I look at the menu, I'm amazed at how cheap it is! Sour drinks for only 200 yen? Highball for 250 yen. The appetizer is a sweet and savory simmered dish with burdock, lotus root, chicken, onion, and konjac for 300 yen. Grilled saury for 390 yen. A set of four skewers - salted hormone, yagen cartilage, chicken wings, and pork offal for 610 yen. The menu is quite good! The skewers are cheap but the quality is not low at all! The saury may not be as plump as those served in high-end restaurants, but for 390 yen, it's a great deal! As I was eating, more and more customers started coming in, and reserved guests also arrived, making it lively! If I didn't have a drinking party later, I would have wanted to order more things. I found a really good izakaya! Thank you for the meal!

Thank you all for reading my reviews last year. I had planned to post a few more reviews and send my end-of-year greetings, but I fell asleep with the screen open and before I knew it, the new year had arrived. Please forgive me. I hope to write more elegant reviews this year. Of course, these are still reviews from last year, so please bear with me. Our favorite princess at work was in a bad mood! I wanted to eat some shinko-yaki (deep-fried half) after a long time, so I called the "Happo" restaurant, but they didn't have it! There was no store near the government office area! Luckily, the store near the TV tower was open, but it would have been a problem if it wasn't. I've been saying for a long time, "I want more stores near Sapporo Station!" It's my favorite (^-^) There's no all-you-can-drink option, but it's only about 3,000 yen even if you think, "I ate a lot, I drank a lot," so it's understandable that there are always customers. Well, this store is also within walking distance from the company, so I'll visit again. Oh, the taste of shinko-yaki (deep-fried half) is of course delicious, and anything you eat can satisfy you as a drinking snack! I'll visit again. Thank you for the meal (^o^)

It was a one-person operation, so the serving time was a bit long, but each dish was made very carefully and all of them were delicious. The kinkan (kumquat) in the motsu-ni stew was a taste I had never experienced before. It was incredibly delicious! Will definitely be coming back again! ^ ^

On Friday night at 8:30 pm, the restaurant was almost 80% full. The age group was not too old. I started with a Black Label beer, which was only 280 yen for a medium-sized glass - very cheap! Even after having 3 beers, the total bill was still under 1,000 yen. Other drinks were also reasonably priced. The complimentary appetizer was egg salad, which was surprisingly delicious. I ordered a set of 5 assorted grilled chicken skewers, rolled omelette with broth, and dried squid. Everything was delicious and inexpensive. After having 3 beers, the total bill was 2,800 yen, which was as cheap as a typical yakitori place. What impressed me more than the affordability was the friendly service from the young staff. I will definitely visit again!
