After an event, I decided to search for a nearby place to eat, and I came across a highly-rated udon restaurant. I got off at a stop and walked about 5 minutes to reach a retro building. I climbed a few steps of stairs and entered the restaurant. The system involved purchasing a meal ticket from a machine next to the entrance. The menu was quite extensive, but I chose the Ikura Onsen Tamago Teishoku (1050 yen) with cold udon. I handed the meal ticket to the kitchen and was given a number tag to wait for my order. After about 20 minutes, my number was called. The dish consisted of rice topped with ikura, katsuobushi, and large leaf, along with a warm egg. The udon had a rich black broth and thick noodles with a firm texture. The broth was flavorful and the noodles were perfectly balanced. Mixing the udon with the broth was delicious. The combination of ikura, katsuobushi, and large leaf on the rice was refreshing. The warm egg added another layer of flavor. The encounter with the cold udon exceeded my expectations. It was definitely worth getting off at the stop!

I arrived early, so it wasn't too crowded. Ordering with food tickets and getting served in about 5 minutes was great. The udon noodles were thick and chewy. The Tsukiko set meal had chikuwa tempura, mushroom tempura on udon... and topped with bonito flakes on rice with a raw egg, which was very orange, maybe they use really good eggs. It was delicious, I want to go again but the distance...

I had udon for lunch at Tsukihama Menkobo in the Tempozan area. This time, I decided to skip the chicken tempura and ordered the Maichiku Tamaten Bukkake Udon. While sipping on their familiar Rooibos tea, I waited for a while. The udon had the usual chewy noodles with a good texture. Luckily, all the tempura was freshly fried. The shiitake mushroom tempura was crispy even when dipped in the broth. The chikuwa tempura was cut in half vertically and was quite large and tasty. Breaking the soft-boiled egg tempura and mixing the yolk with the udon was delicious. I arrived around 2:30 PM, and the place was surprisingly crowded with customers. It's definitely popular!

Tempura ◎ Since it's summer, I ordered chicken tempura bukkake with an additional order of chikuwa tempura. The tempura was voluminous, crispy, and not greasy. I added it to the bukkake this time, but next time I would like to taste the dashi as well! The wait for the food is a bit of a downside, but it's a good restaurant that families can enjoy!

The restaurant is located far from the station, so I used a nearby coin parking. Today's set meal costs 760 yen and comes with unlimited cold Rooibos tea. The topping includes half a boiled egg and half a chikuwa tempura, but they lack thickness and flavor. The broth and udon seem to be well-crafted, but not particularly impressive. Overall, the cost-performance is good, but considering the inconvenience...

I ordered the Ikura Ontama Tendon Set for 1050 yen. It came with Wakame Udon with Chikuwa Tempura and Ikura Donburi. The Ikura Ontama Tendon was delicious! But the udon was... not very tasty. The noodles were a bit off. I'll try the cold udon next time. They also offer cold water, but it's nice that you can have unlimited refills of Rooibos tea!

Visited at 11:00 am on a weekday. Arrived 10 minutes early and was the first one to enter as no one was there. Purchased a meal ticket, self-service for ordering and cleaning up. Had Rooibos tea instead of regular tea. I knew the lunch set was a good deal, but I couldn't eat both udon and rice, so I ordered items separately. -Bukkake udon 580 yen -Chikuwa tempura 140 yen -Onsen tamago (soft-boiled egg) 100 yen. First, the chikuwa tempura was delicious with a crispy coating. The chikuwa itself was fluffy. The soft-boiled egg was perfectly cooked and tasted great when mixed with the udon. The udon had a good texture and chewiness, very tasty. I enjoyed changing the flavor with grated radish, soft-boiled egg, wasabi, and shichimi (seven spice) on the table. The broth was also delicious and I drank it all up! I don't go to Minato Ward often, maybe only when I visit the aquarium, but I would like to use this place again if I go to Minato Ward. The udon was served in about 5 minutes.

The food was incredibly delicious and cheap, and the atmosphere was great with a lot of people. I found a really good restaurant and I definitely want to go back again soon.

Visited before 12 o'clock. There are 9 counter seats and 10 tables. It gets almost full after 12 o'clock. Purchase at the ticket machine → hand it to the staff → receive a number tag → pick up when called. Seats are free, but the staff may assign them to some extent to ease congestion. Bought a small bowl set with fried tofu and tempura. Specified hot or cold at the ticket machine, and also got a large size (+100 yen). Bowls include chicken tempura bowl, whitebait bowl, etc. Chose cold udon with chicken tempura bowl. It cost 980 yen. Seems like they recently adjusted the prices. It was ready in less than 5 minutes. The udon noodles are quite thick. The cut ends are firm. The noodles have a good chewiness. The broth is rich and flavorful, complementing each other well and making it hard to stop eating. The tempura is fried continuously so it's piping hot. The contrast with the cold noodles is pleasant. The chicken tempura bowl has a modest portion but the flavor of the chicken is robust. It was so delicious that it could open a specialty shop on its own. It's located near Tenpozan, in a historic building that could also operate as a stylish cafe. A must-visit place if you're in the area.

On a regular day before noon, the restaurant was about half empty, but during the lunch break of nearby companies, it quickly became full and there were people waiting in line. I ordered the tempura and warm egg with dried bonito flakes bowl. The udon noodles were firm and the broth was surprisingly light and delicious. The bowl was also very tasty! The rooibos tea was delicious too! I was very satisfied. There were also a few chairs for families with children. The restroom was unisex. It's not easy to come by this location, but if I'm in the area again, this is definitely a place I'd like to eat at.

The chicken tempura udon set meal at Tsukiko was satisfying. The soup had a strong bonito flavor and the udon noodles were thick with a good texture. The chicken tempura was the highlight of the meal. It was quite filling and everyone in the family left satisfied. However, the udon noodles may not be to everyone's taste. Overall, it was good value for money, especially the kids' udon for 300 yen with a juice included.

I went during the company's lunch break. When it was about to end, I tried to cancel my order, but it was just ready. I ate in 5 minutes and left. The udon itself was very delicious, so it's better to go with some extra time.

This is my third time coming to this restaurant!! It's really delicious! I plan to try all the items on the menu^_^! I got a tempura as a gift from the person I came with, but it's so delicious. The warm udon and cold udon have different textures, so I want to come back again and again...! I wonder when I should go next~!

I've been curious about this udon restaurant for a while! I ordered the famous shrimp tempura udon and chicken tempura with extra green onions. I regret it! The chicken tempura was so small, I wondered if it was only 50g. The taste was good, but everything else was just average. The prices were high, so I wasn't satisfied. The interior was described as retro, but in reality, the worn-out walls made me worry if they would end up in my udon.

I visited for lunch at 11:18. Even though it was raining, the restaurant was full of customers. It was a Sunday, so I had to wait a bit at the entrance. I bought a meal ticket and then got seated. Payment was cash only. I had the Tsukiko set meal. I wasn't sure what it was, but the daily special set meal is only available on weekdays. It included warm udon noodles with chikuwa tempura, shiitake mushroom tempura, rice with bonito flakes and raw egg, and green onions. The udon had a rich broth, typical of a traditional udon shop. I was happy that the rooibos tea was free. Since it was raining, I received a rainy day coupon ticket. It was a pleasant surprise to receive a present of chicken tempura, shiitake mushroom tempura, or bamboo ring tempura on my next visit. Thank you! I will try visiting the Honmachi location next time.

A udon restaurant with delicious broth. They offer affordable set meals, making it a great place for families or couples to enjoy before heading to the aquarium. We ordered the "kake udon" and "hanagatsuo tamago kake gohan". They also provide free Rooibos tea and serve the udon quickly. The taste is good, but I wouldn't visit just for this alone. It's recommended to visit as part of a date at the aquarium.

I visited the restaurant "Chikko Menkobo" for lunch on this day. I had heard of this popular restaurant before but hadn't had the chance to visit until now. The exterior of the restaurant was quite stylish, almost surprising for an udon shop. There was a line at the ticket machine by the entrance, so I waited in line for about 5 minutes. I purchased the "Chikko Teishoku" for 900 yen, which included udon with bamboo ring tempura and shiitake mushroom tempura, along with rice topped with flower-shaped bonito flakes and a raw egg. After purchasing the ticket, I was a bit confused about what to do next as the staff seemed preoccupied with other customers. Eventually, a kind person noticed my dilemma and guided me on what to do next. Once my order was ready, I picked it up from the counter seat by the window. The Chikko Teishoku was delicious, with the udon and rice being simple yet tasty. The udon was especially good, and I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. I look forward to visiting again with someone else next time. Thank you for the meal!

Rooibos tea is all-you-can-drink, I'm thrilled! (laughs) I've always wanted to go there, and I was able to visit along with the aquarium. The udon has a good texture, and the broth is delicious. The tempura is also crispy, the egg is rich, and the bonito flakes are rich too. I'm curious about the other menu items too. ❤️

Osaka Port's Tsukihama Udon Workshop. A udon restaurant that I was curious about. There were seats available. Chicken tempura udon (850 yen), chikuwa tempura (140 yen) were ready in 3 minutes. The chicken tempura is crispy and juicy, with a lot of fat, but delicious! Maybe because there is so much oil, it comes with wasabi, and this wasabi offsets the oil and tastes delicious! The udon is chewy, the broth is rich and delicious! The combination of this wasabi, udon, and broth is also amazing. Chikuwa tempura. Normally, chikuwa tempura has a firm texture, but this chikuwa is fluffy and soft, which is innovative! Delicious! Oh, the quality of the tempura and wasabi was so delicious, unlike anything I've ever had before.

Today's lunch was at this restaurant! I chose the small bowl set (cold) for 980 yen from the ticket machine. I also added chicken tempura for 150 yen. I handed the food ticket to the staff and ordered a beef bowl. While drinking rooibos tea, I waited to be called by my number. Soon enough, my number was called and I picked up my order. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!
