Attracted by the articles of a writer overflowing with love for ramen in Kansai, I made my first visit. Despite being a small shop with a counter of 6 seats and one table for 4 people, it didn't feel cramped. I was torn between the Chuka Soba, Tori Shoyu, Tori Paitan, and Tori Ippon ramen, but I chose the simplest-looking Chuka Soba with a seasoned egg on top. The Chuka Soba had a shiny appearance with chicken oil. It was topped with branded pork TOKYO X chashu, green onions, chopped white onions, menma, grated yamaimo, and seaweed, making it quite luxurious. The noodles were custom-made by Menya Taiho, a popular ramen shop in Kansai, and were thin straight noodles. The noodles were smooth and slippery, with a good texture that made eating from start to finish enjoyable. The soy sauce with fish broth soup had a fragrant aroma that I really liked, and I ended up slurping it all up. I'm curious about the Tori Shoyu and Tori Paitan as well, so I plan to visit again. I visited during the crowded lunch hour. It was bustling with people, mostly those working nearby or doing outdoor jobs. The place seemed busy, but there weren't many individual customers. I had wanted to try two ramen shops but they were both closed, so I ended up at Hiyoko. The appearance looked delicious, but the taste was mediocre. I ordered the chilled tantanmen, while my friend had Dragon Ball rice, Chuka soba, and shoyu ramen. Overall, we all agreed that the taste was just okay. The Chuka soba had a strong smell of menma. It was neither good nor bad, but if they are going to release new items for a limited time, I wish they would focus more on perfecting the taste of existing items. Thank you for the meal.

I had the limited cold tantan noodles. It was filled with plenty of Tokyo X brand pork, which made me happy just by having so much delicious meat. The overall balance is mild with a half-cooked egg on top, but you can also taste a moderate amount of sweetness and spiciness. It goes so well with rice that I always want to order it together. It was my first visit this time, but the regular menu being made right in front of the counter looked delicious and the aroma was also good, which caught my attention.

Lunchtime only, so it can be difficult to visit, but happened to have some business nearby and visited. I went around 1 pm on a weekday and was able to get in just as they were changing shifts. There is one counter and one table. I ordered the Chinese soba without hesitation. I also ordered the green onion and salted pork bowl. The clear chicken broth soup, combined with four types of broth ingredients, had a light yet rich flavor that was really beautiful. I could have kept drinking it forever, and before I knew it, I had finished it all. The thin, straight noodles were also easy to eat. The green onion and salted pork bowl had a strong and delicious flavor! Despite the heat, they had water outside that anyone could drink, showing their kindness. Thank you for the meal.

On August 5, 2023, I had the pleasure of trying 100 bowls of ramen at Hiyo Ko and Tsurumen in Osaka. This summer limited edition cold Tantanmen collaboration between Hiyo Ko and Tsurumen Davis left a lasting impression. The minced meat was upgraded to Tokyo X's meatballs, and the scent of Sansho pepper filled the bowl. The cold Tantanmen soup was richer than before, and the noodles from Tsurumen were incredibly delicious. I even enjoyed the leftover soup poured over rice with a half-boiled egg, creating a delicious cold Tantanmen rice bowl. Osaka Doshin - Hiyoko [Menu] [Limited Edition] Cold Tantanmen [Impression] I tried the cold Tantanmen made by the apprentice of Masao Onishi in a special collaboration between TSURUME and Hiyoko, available only for one day. The creamy soy milk-infused Tantan soup perfectly coated the noodles, creating an incredibly delicious dish! The soft-boiled egg paired wonderfully with the Tantan noodles. I enjoyed pouring the leftover soup over rice and mixing it with the egg for a satisfying finish. It was fun to see the owner of Hiyoko, Matsuno, and the apprentice of Tsurumen challenging each other to create a meticulous bowl of Tantanmen. Delicious is indeed enjoyable! Thank you for the meal! On July 13, 2023, I visited 86 Men Osaka Kyoshin Hiyoko for their limited-time cold tororo soba. The tororo and moroheiya's slimy texture, combined with the special noodle soup, was delicious and satisfying. The sweetness of the purple spring onion, the changing textures of menma and seaweed, and the different cuts of green and white onions added to the experience. The pickled ginger provided a tangy accent that elevated the dish to perfection. The leftover tororo was also great when poured over rice, creating a beautiful and ever-changing dish. From Senmachi, heading east, just before the Imperial Hotel is "Hiyoko". When I saw it before, there was a long line. They open at 11:00, I arrived at 11:35 and I'm second in line. There are 6 counter seats and 1 table for 4 people. The ramen is 950 yen including tax, and the flavored egg is an additional 150 yen, totaling 1,100 yen. I watched them prepare the orders for the customers before me, and they were very meticulous in their presentation. This is going to take a while. In fact, I want to go to the cake shop just around the corner before it opens at 12:00. That's why I came here for lunch. I ended up waiting for about 10 minutes before my ramen arrived. The presentation is very beautiful! The amber-colored soup is flavorful without any bitterness or sourness. I really like this soup. The straight thin noodles are easy to eat and complement the soup well. The chicken thigh chashu is also very good. There are also onions in the soup, and I couldn't help but finish the soup completely. It was light yet flavorful and delicious (^-^). The place was almost full later, but the service here is still slower compared to other places. Men and women handle the ramen orders and payments in the restaurant, but because there are few seats, you have to leave as soon as you finish eating. I'm curious about the pork chashu rice from TOKYO-X. If you're interested in this restaurant, please save it from this post (^-^).

The cost performance is average, but the ramen is gentle and delicious. It comes with ramen and a mini rice for 1200 yen. I chose the green onion salted pork bowl, but the egg over rice also looked delicious. It was a Chinese soba that was not overwhelming in one bite, but had a high level of completion in one bowl. Restaurants that only open for lunch often have high quality. I imagine that they are working hard, including preparation time, to make delicious food rather than focusing on profit.

Located in front of the Imperial Hotel in the Osaka Dojima area, "Hiyoko" offers a dish called shirayu shoyu from autumn to spring, which is my favorite. The shirayu broth brings out the flavor of the chicken to the maximum, with a surprisingly rich and creamy texture, complemented by a sharp soy sauce taste that is incredibly delicious. The noodles perfectly intertwine with the broth, creating a superbly smooth and satisfying experience. The Tokyo-style chashu pork is also exceptional, bursting with meaty goodness with every bite, while the tsukune has a sausage-like bounce that is simply exquisite. Although it is currently off the menu, it will return in the fall with even more enhancements. Every detail is meticulously thought out, making it a truly exceptional bowl of ramen. In Sakuranomiya, at the Chinese soba restaurant Hiyoko-san, on this day, June 17th, they were offering a limited edition "Dried Matsutake Mushroom Ramen" for their 3rd anniversary. I arrived right at opening time, sat at the end of the counter, and ordered the "Dried Matsutake Mushroom Ramen" with a limited quantity topping of "flavored egg" and "matsutake rice". This special collaboration was with Oonishi-san, who is Matsuno-kun's mentor in Boston and was featured on a TV show called "Passion Continent", offering this ramen in Japan. The noodles were smooth and had a good chew, perfectly blending with the rich aroma and flavor of the matsutake mushrooms in the soup. The soup was clear and refreshing, with the crunchy dried matsutake mushrooms complementing it well. The moist chashu was also excellent. The matsutake rice was generously topped with plenty of matsutake mushrooms, allowing us to fully enjoy their aroma and flavor. It was an incredibly delicious bowl of ramen, and I couldn't help but finish every last drop. Congratulations to Matsuno-kun on the 3rd anniversary. It was truly a delightful meal. I finally got to visit a place near my house that I've been wanting to go for a long time✨ The interior of the shop had a small counter and table, which I really liked. I visited a ramen shop in Kita-ku, Osaka called "Hiyoko". It is a cozy little shop with two types of ramen on the menu: Chuka soba and Chicken Shoyu. I had a hard time deciding, but ended up ordering the Chicken Shoyu ramen. They don't offer extra large portions or extra noodles. The noodles were thin and seemed to be sourced from Kyoto, they were smooth and delicious. The broth was clear, with a refined taste and no off-flavors. The ramen came with two types of chashu: pork and chicken.

The light Chinese soba noodles gently wrapped around my hangover. The soboro miso rice bowl at Tokyo X was small but perfect in size and paired well with ramen. It's located near my office, so I definitely want to visit again. The staff were friendly too!

I wanted to go to the ramen shop called "Hiyoko-san". The interior is small, but I didn't mind because the ramen was delicious. Third visit. Suddenly felt like eating Hiyoko-san's ramen, so I visited around 1 PM. The counter seats were quite full, but there were empty table seats, so I entered without waiting. I hesitated between Shoyu Ramen with clear soup or Chicken Shoyu with white soup, but I was drawn to the richness mentioned in the menu and ordered the White Shoyu Ramen with seasoned egg topping. After waiting for about 5 minutes, the White Shoyu Ramen was brought in front of me♫ First, I took a sip of the soup. Yes, it's delicious (*´艸`) The rich chicken white soup with soy sauce is exquisite♫ Concentrated umami! The noodles are thin and smooth, just the way I like it♫ The pepper sprinkled on top, along with the chopped green onions and onions as toppings, provide a good aroma and texture, making it very delicious! There are two types of chashu. The Yamato chicken chashu is soft with a firm texture and plenty of umami♫ The TOKYO X pork chashu is thinly sliced with a good amount of fat and meaty flavor, making it easy to eat. I want to have a quick lunch... on days like that, it has to be ramen! So, I went to Hiyoko, where I have visited before! This time, I tried the "Shirotan Shoyu" ramen with a seasoned egg topping. The rich soup is packed with the deliciousness of chicken. It has a gentle flavor... The small amount of leeks and onions stand out in the flavorful soup. The menma and chashu, which seem to say "chicken is the star!", are a luxurious combination of chicken chashu and pork chashu. The noodles are thin. And, the seasoned egg is the best part! The deep orange color looks rich in flavor, and it makes my egg-loving heart dance. It's irresistible to feel the spread of the flavor of the yolk and the richness when drinking the soup. I ordered the Chukasoba with seasoned egg topping. When it arrived, I first tasted the soup, which had a deep flavor with a gentle touch of soy sauce and a blend of chicken and Japanese-style broth. The noodles were thin and straight, providing a satisfying texture. The seasoned egg was flavorful and delicious, while the chashu was traditional and well-prepared. The chopped green onions were finely cut by the chef, showcasing their skillful knife work. The chef and staff (possibly the owner's wife) were surprisingly young, which is rare for a ramen shop, but the taste of the ramen was truly exceptional.
