Before departure, I had a hearty meal of curry udon. It came as a set with rice and pickles. The portion was amazing. It was in a food court where you could help yourself to water. I was torn between the menu options, but as soon as I saw the curry udon, I made up my mind instantly. I prefer curry udon over curry soba. And I like curry udon more than curry rice. I don't usually eat it out, but I often make and eat curry udon at home. There's something about it that warms not just my stomach, but my heart too. The udon had a nice chewy texture, and I couldn't even think about touching the rice. I wanted to eat the leftover broth with the rice, but the portion was too much for me to finish.

Passing through the gate at New Chitose Airport and heading to the boarding gate's food court. Ordered the Hokkaido Wagyu beef curry rice at Gyumido. It took quite some time for the dish to arrive. It came with a side of wakame seaweed soup. The beef was placed on top of the rice and onions, and the curry itself did not contain any meat. The taste was pretty standard, different from curry where the beef is mixed in. It's recommended to try the kalbi bowl or gyudon here, as curry is not the main dish.

During my last trip to Sapporo, I enjoyed visiting the Hokkaido Food Court at the airport after checking in with JAL. This time, I stopped by Gyu-Mido and treated myself to a luxurious Hokkaido beef sirloin steak set. Even though it was not crowded, more and more customers started to arrive once I placed my order. It seems that people feel reassured when someone else is ordering. Hokkaido beef is known for its high cost-effectiveness and quality that rivals branded beef, so I decided to go for the sirloin steak set. It was delicious as expected. I will definitely visit again during my next trip to Sapporo.

Finishing up my trip to Hokkaido at New Chitose Airport near the boarding gate. I had soft serve ice cream and a Sapporo Classic beer. It's like a shop near the gate, but it has the potential to leave a lasting impression as the final memory of saying goodbye to Hokkaido.

After this, off to a journey♪ The newly renovated New Chitose Airport's international terminal is sparkling clean! But surprisingly, there aren't many people (tourists) around (^^;) I decided to grab something to eat at the food court before my flight, and after checking in advance, I chose based on affordability. HOKKAIDO WAGYU Beef Bido was my choice, where I sat at a seat of my choice. I went for the top menu item, Sukiyaki set meal, which had a certificate displayed indicating it was made with "Furano Wagyu". I wonder if the hamburger was also made with local beef, but I didn't ask. I ordered the hand-kneaded Hokkaido Wagyu hamburger set meal for 1950 yen (tax included) and a Sapporo Classic beer (glass) for 680 yen. It arrived in about 8 minutes. I opened the hamburger and found no juice dripping, but it was surprisingly tender and had just the right amount of fat. The homemade demi-glace sauce was made with a proper stock, not too salty, so even older people would be fine with it. The miso soup was like red soup, the salad had yuzu dressing, and the pickles had yuzu in them, all very Japanese. As my beer was running out, the server asked if I wanted another one. They even offered me a single thick paper towel instead of the usual thick stack! Overall, the service was impressive. The value for money may be a bit tricky, but the seating arrangement and overall ambiance make you feel like you're dining in luxury. If you're not satisfied with airport prices, bringing your own homemade rice balls and drinks might be a good idea. Hamburger, is it possibly Japanese cuisine? (lol) Thank you for the meal.

I had a limited edition beef bowl. It was not too fatty, but the meat was tender and the seasoning really brought out the flavor of the meat. Thank you for the meal!

In the waiting room at the boarding gate on the JAL side. There is a mini food court here. They have a delicious Hokkaido Wagyu beef rib bowl for 1380 yen, which comes with soup and pickles. I was planning to eat in, but I'm running out of time so I'll get it to go. I'll grab some shichimi pepper and condiments myself. I'm hungry and want to eat now, but eating it on the plane might not be the best idea. My boarding time is in 2 minutes. Can I make it? Can I make it? Oh, I made it! Just like the reviews say, the airport food here is really good. I devoured it all. The meat had a lot of fat, but it was delicious. Hokkaido beef is amazing!! Thank you for the meal! I posted it twice by mistake, sorry. The Shiraoi Wagyu premium loin bowl was 1780 yen and limited to 20 servings per day.
