I had a grilled chicken lunch box with a variety of skewers like chicken thigh, meatballs, negima (chicken and green onion), and pork with pickled ginger and pickles. It also came with a seaweed wrap underneath. I chose the salt flavor. The salt flavor here is different from the typical salt you sprinkle on, as it came with a salt sauce. It was delicious. The zangi had a strong and tasty flavor. Thank you for the meal!

Flame - Shirakaba, I'm alone in Obihiro for two consecutive weeks. Last week, things didn't go as planned, with many places closed or not open. So this time, I decided to try a different approach. I looked back at Tori Log's reviews and decided to visit places where active reviewers have been. First stop, "Flame". Today it's really crowded, probably because it's evening, peak time. I found "Flame" inside a supermarket called Daiichi. It's not very big. I saw Tori-san buying white zangi somewhere, but I decided to try the Naruto zangi this time. I've been waiting in front of the store for a while, but the staff hasn't come out. Even though we made eye contact a few times, they ignored me. I finally had to call out to them, and the service was very cold and made me feel uncomfortable. I ordered the 10-piece set for 980 yen. The service was so bad that I almost decided to leave without my order. I was planning to visit another flame before heading home, but I changed my mind. If there was another person like this one, I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight due to the excitement. Most items are priced at 100 yen, so 980 yen is not a good deal. The sale is disappointing and the bonus bacon rice cake is excluded. The service and the exclusion of the bonus made me feel really bad. The skewers of chicken, pork, ponpochi, seseri, and skin were all decently tasty. Seseri was particularly delicious, while the pork was nothing special. Considering the price, I have no complaints about the skewers. But the strange sales tactics and the inexplicable male service made me very dissatisfied. I am small, so...

Chicken thigh, salt, 100 yen per piece. In the evening, there is a time sale where everything is 88 yen. What is today's sake no sakana (dish to accompany alcohol)? I chose yakitori. Because there is rugby on TV, I will be glued to the screen, so what is the best delicious food that can be eaten by hand? Probably yakitori, right? So I headed towards Daiichi. There was quite a line of customers in the evening. The most delicious is the orthodox flavor.

I visited the restaurant called "Bimei Yakitori and Delicatessen En" at the Super Daichi Shirokaba store! It was my first time visiting. I went there for the restroom and also to scout the area. I just remembered that at the end of August, the first Gusto in Obihiro will be opening here. Oops, I made a mistake! It's not Gusto, it's actually Saizeriya! My bad! The signage is still being set up, so it looks like it will be very crowded for a while. Since I was there, I decided to buy some Zangi. I bought the regular 215g Salt Zangi for 215 yen (excluding tax). It was a good amount for the price. I ate it in the car and it tasted more like soy sauce than salt. The meat was very tender. I also had some for dinner that day and breakfast the next morning, and it was still delicious. It seems like Zangi is a popular item at most Daichi and Fukuhara stores. They also have skewers available. Overall, it was a tasty experience at Bimei Yakitori and Delicatessen En.

I love bird dishes, especially Zangi, which is my favorite. When I'm tired or feeling down, I crave Zangi to relieve stress. Today, I left work early to buy Zangi from Yumya or Honoo's shop to get rid of the stress and fatigue I've been saving up. When I saw the Zangi displayed in front of the store, something felt off, but I couldn't pinpoint it. After thinking for a while, I bought the "Kombu Soy Sauce" Zangi and the "Chicken Thigh Salted" Zangi and went home. It turns out the reason for the discomfort was the lack of volume compared to the Zangi I bought from another store before. Checking my previous log, the other store had twice the amount for the same price... Oh no... The "Kombu Soy Sauce Zangi" (500 yen) had a slightly stronger flavor with a hint of soy sauce, but personally, I prefer the Salted Zangi. The "Chicken Thigh Salted Zangi" (500 yen) from Honoo's shop had a light seasoning but a satisfying taste. Looking back at my log, the other store had 463g while this shop only had 276g, so it's no wonder I felt the lack of volume. Honoo's shop in Obihiro is the only one out of the four I visited that serves cold Zangi, while others offer warm ones. I doubt I'll revisit this shop in the future.

I visited another store before and the only complaint was that they only had grilled chicken skewers. This time, I found a place that also offers salt-grilled skewers, which seem delicious. The skewers are too long and difficult to eat, but if you take the meat off the skewer, you get a good amount. Even though they were a bit cold, they were still tasty. It's a bit of a shame, but overall a good experience.

On 23/08/04, I bought "Pork Skewer Cutlet 226 yen (50% off)" for my evening drink during my business trip. When I returned from Sapporo and visited Fukuhara to buy ingredients, the 50% off bento boxes I was aiming for were already sold out (tears). I ended up getting a retort curry instead. But oops, I ended up buying something unnecessary again (^_^;) Controlling unnecessary expenses is the key to a business trip lifestyle. Even though it's a small amount, I've been getting a bit lax lately. The combination of skewer cutlets and the third beer is neither good nor bad. I vow to not give in to temptation next time! That was the firm resolve in my heart...
