Hello, it's RamenWalking! Today, I had the "Ebi Chikubukkake" at Udon Mugisei in Honmachi. It seems like on hot days like today, I always crave for bukkake udon. Is it a sickness? I found myself once again searching for a great bukkake udon spot and ended up here. I arrived at 12:10 and there were 2 people waiting outside, but I was quickly seated as the previous customers had already left. It's a place where you have to order and pay in advance, so it's best to decide on your order beforehand. I ordered the Ebi Chikubukkake for 880 yen. The broth was slightly stronger than usual, and the broth was served separately to prevent the noodles from soaking up too much flavor. The noodles were average thickness and had a good chew to them. The toppings included chikuwa, shrimp, and pumpkin tempura, all of which were small but well-fried and flavorful. I wish there was a bit more volume, but considering the reasonable price, it was acceptable. They also provided a complimentary snack called "karitchan," which was surprisingly delicious. Thank you, Udon Mugisei, for the meal! Today's step count: 11,444 steps. Calories burned: 434 kcal.

Today's lunch is at Honmachi. I visited Udon Mugisei, which I had been curious about for a while. Here, you order at the entrance and pay in advance. I ordered the Ebi Chikubukake for 880 yen and a rice ball for 100 yen. It arrived in about 5 minutes. It's a Bukkake udon topped with shrimp tempura, bamboo tempura, and pumpkin tempura. You can add sesame yourself using the mini mortar provided. Squeeze some lemon, grind the sesame, pour the broth, and enjoy. The udon has a nice firm texture and is delicious. The broth is also good. It's like elegant udon. The rice ball is a simple salted triangle rice ball with seasoned seaweed underneath. It's delicious udon. Thank you for the meal.

In the area of Honmachi, there is a fierce competition of udon restaurants, with famous ones like Shigeki-san and Kyutaro-san. This restaurant is also known for serving delicious udon. The noodles have a firm texture and are flavored with bonito broth, with the most popular dish being the cold shrimp and tempura udon. As the name suggests, it comes with shrimp tempura and tempura. You can choose the amount of noodles you want. There are many delicious udon shops around Honmachi, making it a happy place for udon lovers. Thank you for the meal.

I visited around 1pm. There are 17 counter seats available. About half of them were occupied. You have to order and pay at the entrance, so you need to decide on your order before entering by looking at the menu outside. I was planning to take my time deciding at my seat, but I ended up choosing the chicken tempura rice bowl. It cost 800 yen. There was no specific seating guidance from the staff, so I chose my own seat. There was a snack like fried udon on the table. Water was also set on the table. The food arrived in about 5 minutes. There were 3 pieces of tempura chicken. I sprinkled sesame seeds on the rice bowl myself. The dipping sauce was served in a small jug. The udon looked a bit firm, but it had a smooth, chewy texture. I think the taste of the noodles ranks high in the Honmachi area. The tempura chicken had a nice crispy texture with a strong chicken flavor. The restaurant is currently not open for dinner, and its operating hours are short, but I think it's a must-visit place.

After visiting a client in Honmachi for work, I was so hot that I decided to stop for a cold lunch on my way back. I stumbled upon a place on the 2nd floor of Center Building, which is convenient on the way to the station. It was my first time there, so I decided to try the Ebi Chiku Tempura Udon to get a feel for the place. At first glance, I thought there was not enough noodles, but they were thick! With one shrimp, chiku tempura, and kabocha tempura for 880 yen, I was satisfied. I think it would have been even better if there were toppings available, but perhaps they focus more on quick turnover for business people in Honmachi? I genuinely felt envious that you could have this for lunch.

Hello everyone❗ It's lunchtime in July 2023❗ I decided to park my car near Honmachi Funabashi Center Building, heading west from Chuo Dori. Oh, there's a parking space available❗ But wait, there's no parking ticket machine❗ That's frustrating, they should have it properly maintained❗ I went to the dining area in Building 9. Among the flashy displays in other shops, I found a relatively modest shop. Is it an udon restaurant? Looks good❤️ I ordered the cold udon with shrimp tempura for ¥840. The handmade udon is delicious❤️ It's cut into easy-to-eat lengths, which I appreciate. The shrimp tempura is perfectly straight and crispy, with a thin and crunchy batter. Yum, it's tasty❗ The other menu items also seem attractive with good value for money. This place gives off a great vibe of a traditional handmade udon restaurant❗ It's a spot my friend frequents, but I might start coming here too❗ Honmachi Funabashi Center Building... It's really nice❤️ Even though I didn't have much appetite due to the heat, I feel a bit more energized now❗ It was delicious❗ Thank you for the meal❤️

At the Ship Center Building No. 9 in Minami Senba, on the second basement floor, there is a place called Udon Mugisei. They didn't have the usual chicken tempura on top, but they had chicken tataki on top instead. I paid in advance and my meal was served pretty quickly, in about a minute. The restaurant wasn't crowded and it seemed like they had a fast turnover of customers. The udon noodles weren't extremely chewy, but they had a nice texture. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying meal.

I got off at Honmachi Station to transfer from the Midosuji Line to the Chuo Line for work, and decided to have a meal at Makisei in the basement of the Ebisubashi Center Building. I ordered the Shrimp Chikubukake Udon for 830 yen. The noodles were chewy and smooth, and went well with the crispy tempura. I also enjoyed sprinkling sesame, pouring dashi, and adding lemon to the dish. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. I would like to try other types of udon here in the future. This has become a restaurant I would like to visit again.

I have been to this hidden gem in Honcho many times. If you go after 12 o'clock, you'll have to wait in line, so it's best to go around 11:30. The Tempura Zaru Udon is great at 930 yen. The noodles have a firm texture and are smooth and delicious. I personally think it's much better than the udon places with high ratings on Tabelog. The tempura is also freshly fried. The service may be a bit slower compared to others, but you can munch on some snacks like karinto while waiting. I still don't understand why they take a bit longer to serve, but it's okay. If only the broth had a little more flavor, it would be perfect, but oh well.

I ordered the cold udon because the udon shop looked hot. The noodles have a nice firm texture, but I don't taste the flavor of wheat. The broth tastes like bonito and salt, but it doesn't really coat the noodles. I had to add more broth and drink it with a spoon to get more flavor. The tempura bits are crispy, but not crunchy.

I had the Nagomi Udon set meal. The hand-made udon noodles had a nice texture and the broth, made by a chef trained in Kagawa Prefecture, was delicious. The Nagomi Udon came with two small shrimp tempura, seaweed tempura, and kelp. For an additional 100 yen, the set meal included cold tofu and plain rice ball. The payment system was done in advance, and PayPay was also accepted. Thank you for the meal.

At noon in Honmachi. This is a place where you can enjoy authentic Sanuki udon. I arrived right at 12 o'clock and miraculously got in without waiting. I ordered the tempura udon with extra noodles. Hmm, delicious. Wait, it feels like the portion slightly decreased... Maybe it's just my imagination. I'll have to check next time. Thank you for the meal!

On February 22, 2023 (Wednesday), I visited the restaurant at 12:25 and it was full (no waiting customers, the staff guided me to a table). I entered the restaurant at 12:30 and ordered from the menu before paying. At 12:40, I received the Ginger Miso Pork and Shrimp Bowl (950 yen), which was described as a stimulating dish when sprinkled with seven spice.

I visited "Mugisei" located on the 2nd basement floor of the Honmachi/Funabashi Center Building No. 9 for what was probably my second visit. Lately, I've been going to either "Udon Kyutaro" or "Honmachi Seimenjo" for udon in the Honmachi area, but that day I felt like having a warm bowl of udon at a leisurely pace, without having to wait in long lines at both places. I had completely forgotten about the ordering system at the restaurant, but you choose your menu at the storefront and pay before being seated. They also accept PayPay. I ordered the "Nagomi Udon," which was labeled as the "most popular" on the menu, even though it was my first time trying it. The inside of the restaurant was moderately spacious, and I sat at the counter. After a short wait, my order arrived. As you can see in the picture, the portion size was slightly small, but it came with 2 shrimp tempura, making it a good deal. The visual presentation with ingredients like seaweed tempura, fish cake, grated yam, pickled radish, green onions, and various other toppings gave me a nostalgic feeling of eating udon at home. The slightly soft udon noodles and kombu broth were gentle and comforting on my tired stomach from last night's drinking party, making me feel warm and relaxed. I will definitely come back again.

The other day, I had udon for lunch at this place o(^-^)o It was crowded as it was lunchtime, but I managed to find a seat at the counter. I ordered the most popular item, the "Nagomi Udon Set" for 850 yen. It came with onigiri, tofu, 2 shrimp tempura, grated yam, seaweed, and sliced radish. It also had udon and kiritanpo on the table. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal. Udon Mugisho 06-6244-6665 Osaka, Osaka City, Chuo-ku, Funaba Chuo 3-3-9 Funaba Center Building 9th Building B2F.

I escorted the good-looking male salesperson who wanted to eat something light. It had been three years since my last visit, and it felt like too long of a gap. I ordered the usual, the Nostalgic Udon Set for 850 yen. It used to be 790 yen three years ago, so it's a 60 yen price increase. Given the times, a slight price increase is understandable. The warm Kansai-style broth has a balanced sweetness from the kombu and bonito flakes, and I always end up drinking it all. The thickness and softness of the noodles, as well as the smooth texture, are excellent. The noodles may not be very firm, but they are comforting. On this day, I also had the pickled kombu and udon karinto. The familiar flavors were soothing. I paid upfront with PayPay and finished my meal. Thank you for the meal.

Ebi Ten Hiyakake (chilled noodles with shrimp tempura) for 790 yen. The noodles are thick, firm, and chewy with a subtle wheat flavor. The broth is rich with a strong dashi base of dried fish and kelp. The taste is on the intense side. The dish includes two large shrimp tempura on the side, providing a satisfying crunch. Eating the tempura with rock salt was okay as the tempura was a bit moist. The kelp with vinegar added a refreshing touch to cleanse the palate. Mixing the broth with the noodles created a delicious combination. For dessert, a cinnamon-flavored treat that was subtly sweet and delicious.

In Sakaisuji Hommachi, it's a desk work day! I search for a restaurant in Senbiru (Funebashi Center Building). I feel like having cold udon, so I visit Udon Bakusho for the first time. The address of Udon Bakusho is 3-3-9 Funebashi Chuo, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, in the Funebashi Center Building 9th building B2F, a 3-minute walk from Osaka Metro "Hommachi" station. I arrive at the restaurant a little after 12 pm. The regular holidays are Sundays and public holidays, and the business hours are from 11:00 to 16:00. They offer a wide variety of hot and cold udon as well as set meals and onigiri, making it very convenient. Luckily, there is no waiting outside! I thoroughly disinfect both hands with the alcohol disinfectant at the entrance of the restaurant, and after getting permission to take a photo of the staff, I order the "Ebi Chikubukkake Daio" from the menu. Udon Bakusho operates on a prepayment system. I pay in advance and take a seat at the counter. Today, there are two staff members, the owner and a female staff member. When you think of Udon Bakusho, you think of this - Udon Karintou, a vinegar-pickled kombu after making the broth. Since I couldn't find a plate, I eat it in the palm of my hand. After a short wait, the udon is served. It looks delicious! Let's dig in! Bakusho's bukkake style udon has separate broth, sesame seeds, and lemon. First, I grind the sesame seeds, pour the broth, squeeze the lemon, and top it with sesame seeds! Let's start with the noodles, which are made from domestically produced wheat, flour, salt, and water, aged for over a night and carefully matured twice. The noodles have a smooth texture, good elasticity, and a chewy texture! The freshly ground sesame seeds, freshly squeezed lemon, and bukkake made from dark soy sauce and anchovy dashi are delicious! The tempura is crispy and freshly fried! The oil used is also of good quality, and you can enjoy the shrimp all the way to the tail! The tempura, with half-cut chikuwa, a Kansai-style ingredient, has a delicious surimi flavor! You can enhance the taste with shichimi on the table! The refreshing taste increases the deliciousness! I finish the meal happily and full, thanking the staff and leaving Udon Bakusho. Husband: Thank you for the meal! It was delicious! I'll come back again!

On the basement 2nd floor of the Senba Center Building No. 9, there is a restaurant at the back of the Midosuji side. Orders are taken at the entrance and payment is made in advance. It is a traditional Sanuki udon restaurant with a bright atmosphere once you step inside. Oh! The nostalgic American jazz playing in the background adds to the ambiance. I ordered the Ebi-Sanmai cold bukkake udon. It comes with three freshly fried shrimp tempura and pumpkin tempura. The udon itself is chewy and smooth, typical of Sanuki udon, and it was delicious.

I got off at Honmachi and went to this restaurant located in the Shinsaibashi Center Building No. 9 B2. I ordered the Ebi Chiku Bukkake (shrimp tempura udon) at the counter seat for 770 yen. While waiting, I snacked on some tempura udon. The service was fast, and the udon, which had sesame seeds that you could grind yourself, was delicious. The udon noodles were thick and chewy, and although they weren't particularly firm, they were tasty. The tempura consisted of shrimp, pumpkin, and bamboo shoots, but they weren't crispy. Since it was a Saturday when I visited, the place was not crowded, but I imagine it would be busier on weekdays due to its location.
