Just a short walk from Edogawabashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, you'll find Mitsun-Tora. When the cold season arrives, the first thing that comes to mind is miso ramen. And it has to be the authentic Hokkaido style, which is why I headed to the popular Mitsun-Tora in Edogawabashi. The owner is a Sapporo native who trained at Sumire, so you could say it's a pure Sumire-style ramen. I aimed to arrive just before opening on a Saturday, but even then, the line was so long that it seemed impossible to get in on the first round. However, the cold weather while waiting also adds to the deliciousness of the miso ramen. After about 30 minutes from opening, I finally got a seat. I started by quenching my thirst with a Sapporo Red Label beer. They also serve menma as an appetizer, which I enjoyed while waiting for my ramen. I ordered the Chashu Miso Ramen (¥1250) with a boiled egg (¥150) and bean sprouts (¥100) as toppings. The ramen had a distinct Sapporo miso flavor, reminiscent of Sumire. It didn't have corn or butter, which is the true essence of Sapporo miso ramen. The soup was rich with lard, and while there was no steam at first, lifting the noodles revealed the bubbling hot steam. This is the true essence of a piping hot soup. It was rich without being too heavy with animal-based umami like pork bones, and the slightly salty and rich soup adapted well to modern ramen tastes. Adding ginger halfway through made it refreshing. You can also request to adjust the soup with water or vinegar, but the default was already perfect for me. The noodles were, of course, from Nishiyama Seimen. The yellow, curly, medium-thick noodles held the soup well and had a firm chewiness. It was a perfect match for the miso soup, leaving nothing to be desired. When the chashu soaked up the soup, it became juicier with a coating of lard. The bean sprouts added a fragrant crunchiness that complemented the ramen well. It was even more delicious than expected, living up to the hype. It's the kind of miso ramen that you'll crave on cold days, and you'll want to eat it regularly.

I had been curious about this place for a while, so I finally had a day off with no plans and decided to make the trip to Edogawabashi. There was a line. I waited in line for about an hour. It's a popular place, as expected. I ordered the miso chashu ramen in large size. At first glance, it looked very oily. But when I tasted it, the richness was balanced by a hint of ginger, making it not too heavy. Personally, I prefer Fukkoku's taste. The chashu and seasoned egg at Misono were better! Would I come back again? Well, the wait was quite long, so honestly...

About 20 years ago, while working overtime and feeling hungry, I went to a nearby Seven-Eleven and found a cup ramen called "Sumire" by Seven Premium. It was delicious with fresh noodles and tasty soup. I was impressed by how good it was and ended up not being able to focus on work. Time passed and I never had the chance to try the authentic Sumire in Hokkaido. After 20 years, I heard that there is a store in Tokyo as well, so I visited. Arriving at 11:20 am on a Sunday, there was already a long line. I waited for 50 minutes to get in. I ordered the miso chashu ramen. The soup was amazing, with a rich flavor from ingredients like garlic. The oil floating on top was smooth, not too thick. The ramen noodles were the classic Sapporo style, and even though I asked for less noodles, the portion was still satisfying. I finally got to taste the miso ramen I had been craving. I would love to have it in winter, but I imagine the line would be even longer in the cold. In that case, maybe I should just go to Sapporo.

As the company had a weekday off, I finally visited Misono for the first time. I arrived at the restaurant just before lunchtime, but there was already a line of about 10 people, so I had to wait for about 20 minutes to get in. I had already done some research on this restaurant as it is often featured online. I ordered the miso ramen with a boiled egg and a small bowl of rice. I skipped breakfast in anticipation of this meal. It took about 8-10 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering. The presentation was impressive, just like I had seen online. The soup was well-balanced in terms of saltiness, unlike the slightly salty one I had in Yokohama recently. It had a rich miso flavor that was very enjoyable. The curly noodles were well-coated in the miso soup. I didn't order much chashu, so I quickly finished it without leaving much of an impression. I should have ordered more. The boiled egg was delicious, with a nice flavor infused into it. I noticed a sign in the restaurant offering free yuzu pepper, so I tried it for a different taste. It was a nice addition. I finished my meal in no time. It's no wonder this place is considered a top restaurant, I totally understand why. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

Lunch on 09/18 (Tuesday) at Sannin Toraji: Miso ramen for 950 yen, boiled egg for 200 yen, a little bit of rice for 40 yen. Excellent service, fast service, delicious food, good cold water, good portion size, good value for money. Arrived at 11:15 but it was full, managed to get in as the second in line. Entered at 11:30. The restaurant is small but clean and nice. Got my bowl at 11:40. I mixed the chashu, boiled egg, and pickled vegetables with ginger miso soup and rice, then slurped the soup with Nishiyama noodles. Delicious! I now understand why there is always a long line for this place!

I visited the popular miso ramen restaurant, Sannin Torasan. Despite the lingering summer heat, I arrived 15 minutes before opening only to find 15 people already waiting in line. I decided on ordering miso ramen with an egg topping while waiting for about 30 minutes before finally being seated. I purchased my meal ticket from the machine and handed it to the staff. After another 10-minute wait, my ramen arrived. I also ordered a side of rice. The soup was rich yet the ginger added a refreshing and mild taste. The diced and thinly sliced chashu were both tender and delicious, and the thinly sliced menma added a nice touch. As I continued eating, I found the soup a bit too strong, so I asked for some extra soup and enjoyed it. Overall, the miso ramen was delicious and well-balanced. Thank you for the meal!

I lined up before the store opened and entered. It's a popular place, so there was already a line before opening. I ordered the popular menu item, miso ramen. I don't usually eat ramen much, but this miso ramen made me want to eat it over and over again! The noodles were delicious, and the soup had just the right amount of oil. When the ginger dissolved, the flavor became even more intense and deep. It was the ultimate bowl of ramen that made me realize how delicious ramen can be. This place has become one that I will visit again and again! Thank you so much!

◎Cost performance quality is 89 points, service is 84 points, cleanliness is 85 points.◎Overall rating is 87 points. (All rated out of 100 points)◎Store Information Overall Satisfaction (I lined up around 1:00 PM on the weekend. I was about 8th in line at the turning point. I entered the store at 1:40 PM and was prompted to purchase a meal ticket first. The bowl was served around 2:00 PM, and the turnover and service were not particularly fast. Waiting outside means direct sunlight exposure as there is no roof, making it hot. The inside of the store is cool and clean, with partitions separating each person. The miso ramen tasted the same as the one I had in Hokkaido at Sumire, so there is no need to go to Hokkaido to eat miso ramen. You can satisfy your craving here.◎Order Details◎Miso Ramen. ¥950. Appearance: Taste: Char siu, menma, green onions, ginger, and curly noodles in a rich miso soup with stir-fried onions and bean sprouts. The taste is exactly like the miso ramen at Sumire in Hokkaido, with a 100% reproduction rate. The char siu is tender and delicious. It is really delicious and piping hot with oil. Personally, I felt that the topping of ginger was unnecessary.◎Small Rice Bowl. ¥40. Appearance: Taste: The amount is about the size of a fist. It is a sufficient amount. With ginger, yuzu pepper, shichimi togarashi, and miso soup, it becomes the ultimate okayu! Delicious!◎Location of the Store: Exit from Edo Kawabashi Station B1 exit and within 5 minutes. I would like to visit again. Summary: On a Saturday in September with temperatures soaring into the 30s, I visited a highly anticipated ramen shop for the first time. Arriving around 1:25 p.m., there were already 10 people waiting in line, with myself being the 11th. The system involved two waiting lines, where customers had to wait until the first line extended to the neighboring shop before joining the second line on the left side. Customers were not allowed to enter until called by the staff. I entered the shop at 1:58 p.m. after waiting for 33 minutes. Inside, I purchased a miso chashu ramen with extra noodles and an additional topping of bean sprouts. The shop was clean, with two counters, two 4-person tables, and clear partitions for COVID-19 safety. The chashu ramen was served promptly and had a balanced and elegant flavor, typical of the shop's reputation for pure sumi-style ramen. The crunchy bean sprouts and firm yellow noodles added to the authenticity of the dish. The overall experience was satisfying and lived up to the expectations of a genuine sumi-style ramen shop.

Today's lunch was at a miso ramen specialty shop that I've been wanting to try for a while. Arrived before 1 pm on a weekday, and there were 4-5 groups waiting outside. We were able to get in after about 15 minutes, and it took around 30 minutes until our ramen was served. - Chashu Ramen Miso 1,400 yen/tax included - Flavored Egg 200 yen/tax included Let's dig in! Starting with the soup... it was incredibly delicious. Honestly, the first sip had such a strong impact that I felt it was the best miso ramen I've ever had. Similar to the renowned Sumire, the soup is cooked with the ingredients in an iron pot, combining the richness of animal ingredients with the mellow taste of white miso to create an exquisite flavor. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles, perfectly complementing the soup and incredibly tasty. I also liked that they were a bit firm. Adding ginger halfway through gave it a different punch, especially warming in the winter. However, as I continued eating, the saltiness became a bit overwhelming. As mentioned at the beginning, the "first sip" was truly surprising. But towards the end, the high salt content became a concern. After finishing the meal, my throat felt a bit salty for a while. The chashu and flavored egg were both very delicious. Especially the tender and moist chashu, I think it's a must to get extra. Thank you for the meal! I might try visiting again in the winter. *Visit rating: 3.89

On Wednesdays, my child works late so it's a day for dining alone. I couldn't decide what to eat, but eventually I felt like having delicious ramen. The shop near my workplace and close to home was the one I chose. I left work on time and hurried over, arriving at 5:35 pm. There were already 4 people waiting in line in front of the shop. The shop was full with 2 servings... Just missed it. There were 3 round chairs in front of the shop, so I sat and waited for 20 minutes. I was called by the staff, bought a meal ticket, and sat at the counter. I waited for about 10 minutes inside the shop, and then my miso ramen arrived. I ordered ⚫︎ Miso Ramen for 950 yen with bean sprout topping for 100 yen, totaling 1,050 yen. I took a sip of the soup and thought, "Wow, this is amazing!" It had a strong ginger flavor and was delicious. I love curly noodles. The bean sprouts were crunchy. I couldn't stop eating, the chopsticks just kept moving. When I was young, I used to go out to eat ramen quite often, but it feels like it's been a while since I had such delicious ramen. The shop was mostly filled with men, but the counter had partitions and was spacious, so I could eat without worrying about the person next to me. So I think it's fine for a woman dining alone. The staff were kind, and the interior of the shop was clean. Above all, the fact that you can get a meal for under 1,000 yen without any extra toppings is quite cheap. When I left at 6:30 pm, there were over 20 people waiting in line. Even when seats became available, some remained empty, so they might be limiting the number of customers. That's why the turnover might not be very fast. I'm willing to wait in line to eat there. It makes sense. Next time, I'll try adding an egg topping. Thank you for the meal.

I heard there is a delicious miso ramen shop in Edogawabashi, so I went to try it out. I arrived a little late for lunch at 1:30 pm and there were about 5 people in line. I ordered the miso chashu ramen. The soup was similar to the one I had in Sapporo before, with a rich flavor. The noodles were yellow, medium thickness, and curly. The chashu was very tender and delicious. I was able to enjoy Sapporo-style miso ramen in Tokyo.

In conclusion, as the title suggests, the ramen at San Tora is delicious, leaving me in a state similar to Nishino Kana's smile. I had been curious about this place for a while, known as one of the top miso ramen shops in Tokyo that you must try. However, I was not keen on waiting in a long line. Luckily, I visited during the evening opening at 5:30 PM and got in without waiting. The taste was so amazing that I almost felt like I was in Sapporo. The rich soup paired perfectly with the yellow curly noodles, making it a top-notch miso ramen in Tokyo. The ginger and the flavorful bamboo shoots were great accents, but be careful with the hot bean sprouts as they can cause burns. I am already looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful restaurant. Today's order: Akahoshi Miso Ramen, Bean Sprouts, Simmered Egg. Thank you for the meal! ☻

There were 5 people waiting in line at 17:20 on Monday for the ¥950 miso ramen with an extra small rice for ¥100. The ramen had increased by ¥100 surprisingly. There were even 2 people ordering soy sauce ramen. The ramen had yellow medium curly noodles from Nishiyama Seimen with the usual oily miso soup. It may not taste very miso-like, but it has its own originality compared to Sumire. The amount of noodles was normal and satisfying. The toppings included 2 slices of roasted pork, pork belly, thinly sliced bamboo shoots, chopped green onions, ginger, bean sprouts, etc.

Miso ramen with boiled egg, first visit. Arrived on Sunday at 11:05 AM, waited with 8 people ahead. More people kept coming and there was a line of about 15 people behind me. Seated after 50 minutes, and the ramen was served in 10 minutes. The soup stayed hot without getting cold due to the oil. Overall, maybe I had set my expectations too high...

I went on a Saturday afternoon. As expected of a popular restaurant, it took about an hour to get my food, but the staff were polite and attentive. The ramen was delicious - I started by eating it without mixing in the ginger, enjoying the rich flavor of the soup. Then, I gradually mixed in the ginger for a refreshing taste. The yuzu pepper, which you can request for free, added various flavors and made the experience even better. I will definitely be coming back.

I happened to have some business near Edogawabashi Station, so I decided to visit the restaurant "Sann Tora" which I had never been to before. At 10:55 am, despite the rain, there were about 10 people waiting in line. If it had been sunny, the line would have been even longer. I quickly decided on the miso ramen, but I also wanted to try the chashu. I opted for the large size, and also ordered a seasoned egg and bean sprouts. It ended up being quite expensive. The ramen arrived in about 30 minutes, and just like my experience at Fukurou, the initial heat of the soup numbed my taste buds. But gradually, the umami and sweetness of the miso, along with the richness of the lard, blended together and filled my mouth with flavor. It was really delicious. The curly noodles soaked up the soup well, and the bean sprouts added a nice touch. The chashu wasn't my favorite type, but it was still good. The seasoned egg was tasty too, although a bit pricey at 200 yen. Towards the end, the miso flavor became slightly cloying, but the grated ginger provided a nice change of taste. I understood why the person next to me had ordered extra ginger. Overall, the miso ramen was incredibly well-executed. I left the restaurant completely satisfied with my lunch. It was so delicious. I will definitely come back when I have the chance, even if there's a bit of a wait. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Visited around 2 PM on a weekday. Despite the rain, there was still a line of 8 people at this time. Waited about 20 minutes at the end of the line before entering. Ordered miso chashu, sliced chashu, and rice today. The sliced chashu had a generous portion, and I quickly felt full. The ramen was as delicious as ever, consistently good. Truly satisfied. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

A miso ramen restaurant near Edogawa Station that is listed in the Tabelog Top 100. The chef trained at the famous Sumire restaurant in Tokyo before opening his own place. Personally, the best miso ramen I have ever had! The soup is very rich, but not too heavy, and delicious! I recommend adding a seasoned egg as a topping. Even if there's a line, it's definitely worth trying!

It is located a few minutes away from the B1 exit of Edogawabashi Station. When I arrived around 11:05 on a weekday, there were 3 people waiting, so I lined up behind them. I thought the turnover was fast based on reviews, so I expected to get in quickly, but ended up waiting about 40 minutes to enter. There were many empty seats inside the restaurant, but it seemed like the operation was not smooth. After entering, I purchased a ticket from the ticket machine. I ordered the Miso Chashu for 1,400 yen and a small rice for 100 yen. The bowl arrived in about 15 minutes. The Miso Ramen looked delicious. The soup had a strong oil flavor, but it wasn't overpowering and was easy to drink. The taste was a bit on the rich side. The noodles were medium thickness, typical of Miso Ramen, and the chashu was tender and excellent. I now know the deliciousness of eating Miso Ramen with white rice...

At 11:40, there were 20 people waiting with a 30-minute wait time. The miso ramen was priced at 950 yen and you could add bean sprouts for 100 yen. It had two types of chashu and I didn't get tired of eating it until the end. The soup was especially delicious! The flavor was not as strong as I expected, and with the bean sprout topping, it had a pleasantly mild taste similar to leek and garlic. It felt like they took a common cafeteria miso ramen and made it delicious with attention to detail!
