I ate and drank to my heart's content at a nearby restaurant. It was still early, so we decided to have a second round. We crossed Midosuji from east to west and opened the door to this place after a long time. Oh! The master is as dashing and dignified as ever, and I'm glad to see him in good health. Three middle-aged men sat at the left end of the counter, looking very natural in this space. I ordered a Jameson on the rocks, while the other two customers each got their favorite whiskey highball. Cheers for the second time today! I relaxed in this space, which is more calming than my own living room. I have a bad habit of getting lost in my own world and neglecting the other two customers. Well, they seem to be having a lively conversation about work, so it's okay. The charm of the day was the smoked mackerel and cheese, delicious! It paired well with the smoky whiskey. Jameson always tastes like Jameson, sweet and smoky with a pleasant aftertaste. As the previous customer left and a new one entered, it was clear that the number of regular guests is increasing. And so, the three of us reached our limit and headed back home, feeling the night breeze. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since the three of us met. The last time was at a kushikatsu restaurant in Ashiya called Arvon. The two guys were really excited and wanted to go back to Arvon. After the concert, they insisted on not bringing their wives and came to see me instead. It was a fun time with the three of us at a bar in Shinchi. We had a toast and enjoyed the evening. They were surprisingly gentlemanly and made me feel happy. I may not be involved in romantic relationships, but having such kind friends is truly a blessing. Thank you for the happiness. We had a couple of drinks, with the second one being a blue label whisky called Shibas Regal. It was a flavor of Mizunara oak barrel that I had never seen before. A few days ago, I received a video of this blue whisky from a friend who loves alcohol. I was amazed by the coincidence. I wore a blue dress that matched the color of the dress worn by the lady at the bar. She even took a photo with a heart mark for me. She knows how to make a woman happy. I rushed back home to my wife as the last train was approaching. I wonder when we will meet again. The remaining two guys live close by, so they have a neighborhood relationship.

After enjoying some amazing dumplings at a restaurant near JR Tozai Line Kitashinchi Station, we were led to the next place by my older brother, who seems to know Kitashinchi like the back of his hand. We entered a cool bar where you feel like straightening your back and looking stylish. My brother ordered a Dewar's highball and the lady ordered something too. I felt a bit sorry for the non-smokers as I discreetly brought over an ashtray from the corner and indulged in a drink and a cigarette in a hidden chic manner. It was just the right balance. It was a fun time catching up with the two of them whom I hadn't seen in a while. For the last drink, I had a Blue Seagram's Regal. The beautiful label left an impression on me. As the last train was approaching, I excused myself. The two of them left behind... well, sometimes it's the adult way to not interfere. ♡ Oh well...

While waiting for my pick-up, I had some time so I went to one more place. This is Mr. Baruda's place. Master greeted me with a smile ♡ It feels like coming to a nostalgic bar after a long time. The master is very easy to talk to. You can even go alone.

Located in the Kita-Shinchi area, closer to Umeda, this bar stands quietly on the first floor of a building in a bustling district. Upon opening the door, you enter a modest yet elegant space. The interior resembles a bar, with a counter made of aged wood and 10 seats lined up. In the mood for a strong drink, I ordered three cocktails. The first was a Bronx Terrace, made with 30ml of dry gin, 20ml of dry vermouth, and 10ml of lime juice. It had a rich aroma and flavor with a hint of grape from the vermouth, and the owner described it as a casual version of a martini, which was quite fitting. For a change of pace, I ordered a matcha cocktail recommended by the owner. As the conversation among the regulars and myself picked up, the drinks quickly disappeared. I ended the night with a whiskey on the rocks. The total cost for three drinks was a reasonable 4800 yen, and I felt welcomed by the owner and regulars, making me appreciate the value of discovering this place in my 20s.

There are plenty of authentic bars in Kita-Shinchi, but among them, "BAR UDA" is a place that even a beginner like me knows about. The master is skilled at engaging in conversation without being too intrusive. The atmosphere is calm and the conversation flows easily. There are many date bars out there, but having a repertoire of adult spaces like this adds to one's sophistication. Even someone as crude as myself can become a gentleman at this bar.

Prompted by the master, I sat at a seat in the middle of the counter. Since it's a bar in Kitashinchi, customers probably come later. The shop has only a counter, and it has a calm and orthodox atmosphere. When I come to a bar, I always start with a dry martini. I started chatting with the master, and then another customer came in. They seemed to be a regular customer and started chatting casually with the master. It seems like they run a company around Senba. Since there were only two customers, I couldn't help but hear their conversation. Eventually, I joined the conversation and received various local information, such as the differences in the basement food floors in Umeda. The third customer was a woman who came alone. She didn't seem to be a regular customer, but she seemed familiar with the bar. Inside, it turns out to be an authentic bar. There is a long counter made of a single board. Surprisingly, the place has some depth to it. I decide to sit in the front seats because the previous customer was smoking. There doesn't seem to be a menu, so I order a Sky Ball, which I haven't had since Barnes in Nagoya. It's served in a metal mug and is a vodka-based cocktail that's easy to drink. I start to feel a little tipsy, so this is just right. The charm is smoked cheese and cheese. I also try a strawberry gin and tonic. Oh no, this one is dangerous because it tastes like straight strawberry juice. The gin is hidden well. The bartender's skills are impressive. Conversation is important at the bar, and the bartender occasionally joins in. The atmosphere is very comfortable. It would be even better if it were non-smoking... Anyway, there's still an hour and a half until the late-night bus. We had a blast after this. It was a short but enjoyable time. Thank you. Bon appétit.

It is a perfect location to stop by after having a meal in Kitashinchi. The bill on this day was split alternately between the person who brought me here and myself, so the exact amount spent here is unknown. Therefore, I will refrain from evaluating the cost performance. I ordered a Sherry Tonic. Even without specifying, the Sherry was served in a dry style without citrus, which matched my preferences. It had a light and slightly sweet finish, so I think the tonic used was Schweppes. The drink had a nice smoothness. The back bar truly embodied the essence of an authentic bar. The atmosphere was calm, and the service was welcoming without making the customers feel tense. The bartender showed flexibility in catering to the customers. It was a truly pleasant space. I imagine many regulars come here to unwind and relax after a long day.
