I tried the spice curry restaurant that is listed in the top 100 restaurants for a solo lunch during work! It's very popular, always full, and there's a line (ﾉ´ｰ`)ﾉ. But the turnover is fast, so depending on the timing, you may not have to wait too long to get in! Today's order was a combination plate for ¥1000 ＼(^o^)／ (which is a good deal compared to the single curry for ¥900!) I ordered the "Thai-style Coarse Ground Pork Keema" curry of the day and the classic menu item "Lamb and Cashew Nut." Besides the chef, there are also two waitstaff, so the turnover is quick. The rice is a normal serving of 240 grams, and I ordered it as is. They explained that it's equivalent to two bowls of rice, but I said it's okay (lol). The woman next to me, however, reduced her rice after hearing the explanation (^^ゞ Now, about the curry. The lamb curry, which I thought would be mild at spice level ☆2, made my body feel hot with just one bite (ヽ((◎д◎))ゝ). My tongue tingled!!! The pork keema, at spice level ☆2.5, was also spicy!!! Today's curry study session continues! The curry of the day was Keema, and I was lucky to get in without waiting in line. I had the Lamb and Cashew Nut curry and the Habanero Pork Keema curry with plain rice and minimal toppings. The dish was difficult to eat from the flat plate, but the flavors were amazing. The spices were well balanced, although the heat from the habanero gradually built up. I enjoyed the combination of lamb and cashew nuts, and the use of cardamom in the curry was delightful. I visited the restaurant shortly after it opened. I was the fourth person in line. Within 10 minutes, the place was full, and there were about 4 people waiting when I left, so it's definitely a popular spot. I walked there from Shinsaibashi, and it took me less than 15 minutes. I was recommended to try the 3-item combo, so I chose the mackerel and basil, chicken masala, and the weekly special habanero pork keema, with eggplant achaar on top, and I also got a lassi for only 100 yen. The portion of rice was like two regular bowls, so I stuck with the regular size. The curry was generous, and I got full quickly. The mackerel was tender and you couldn't even feel the small bones. The curry had a strong mackerel flavor. The chicken masala was quite spicy, so if you're not used to spicy food, it might be tough. The habanero pork keema was also spicy but not as much as the chicken. The mackerel was milder, so I thought it was a good combination. The achaar on the plate had a strong sour taste. Even when eaten with the spicy chicken masala, you could still taste the sourness. I like eggplant, so I added it as a topping, and it added a nice texture contrast. Second visit. I arrived just before the last order on a weekday, so I was able to enter without waiting in line. Last time, I had to wait in line for quite a while and was worried because there was no shade, but I was lucky this time. I ordered a smaller portion this time since they said the regular size is equivalent to two rice bowls. I chose two types of smoked egg toppings. It was delicious.

I visited at 11:57 on a regular day. Until recently, there used to be a line forming before 12 o'clock, but it seems to be fine lately, so I took the chance. I was able to sit right away. The staff seemed friendly. It took about 10 minutes until the food was served. The lamb dish was a bit milder. The Keema Matar was richer in comparison. Overall, it was quite delicious.

I had seen it on Instagram and was curious, so I decided to check it out (*^^*) The location of the restaurant was convenient, near Yotsubashi-suji, which made it easy to find! I ordered the daily special curry, Habanero Pork, and another curry with lamb and beans. The Habanero Pork curry was quite spicy, rated 3 stars, so I had to take breaks while eating it (((^_^;). But it was delicious! The other curry was rated 2 stars, and I found it more manageable (lol). I wanted to try a spicy curry, so I was happy with my choice! They also had other dishes with spices, so I plan to try them next time (^-^)v

I often go to a restaurant for lunch. I try not to overeat, but I always end up checking Twitter for the daily specials and end up choosing the keema curry this time. I enjoyed the rich flavors at the counter while looking at the spices. The aroma from the small kitchen filled the air, allowing me to savor the spiced curry even through my nostrils. You can choose from daily specials and regular menu items. The spiciness level is indicated, but it's at a level suitable for the average person (sometimes, even mild can be very spicy in some shops), so I recommend choosing a level of 3 spiciness or higher.

The mochi pork spinach is seriously delicious! When it's the day for mochi pork spinach, before you know it, you're at Nikki... Also had fried taro and mixed achaar. The mixed achaar is so addictive, you can keep eating it forever. I wish they sold it in a bottle the size of a pickled plum jar.

I stumbled upon this place while heading to a nearby ramen shop, and decided to try it out since it was listed as one of the top 100 curry restaurants in the Asian and Ethnic category. The curry dishes were: Coconut Curry with Mackerel and Basil (1 spice level), Lamb and Cashew Nut Curry (2 spice level), and Butter Chicken Curry (2.5 spice level). The Butter Chicken was creamy with a slight kick at the end, the Lamb Curry had a spicy kick from the aromatic spices, and the Mackerel Curry was unexpectedly spicy as I ate more of it. At the beginning of the month, I pumped myself up with some spicy flavors at this favorite restaurant of mine. Lately, I've become able to distinguish good restaurants by their aroma, haha. Last time I tried three varieties, but this time I went for a combo of two. The Chicken Masala with its stimulating aroma and spiciness is a real treat, along with the weekly special curry, this time featuring chicken keema curry with spring cabbage and squid. The perfect balance of spices with the squid and cabbage is delicious. Mixing both together enhances the flavors even more. The staff are all friendly and provide great service. Overall, it's a fantastic restaurant where everything comes together nicely.

I visited around noon on a regular day and found about 6 people waiting outside. I waited for 20 minutes, then placed my order and waited another 10 minutes. By this point, more than half of my lunch break had passed. I had the Chicken Masala, which came with 3 pieces of chicken but no other options besides the sauce. There were 2 side dishes, but it was hard to tell what they were. The curry was just spicy, nothing special. The saffron rice was plentiful, which was good. Overall, it was a bit disappointing. They should take orders from those waiting outside. Not ideal for people with limited time.

I really wanted to eat spicy curry, so I decided to go for a drink alone. The female staff was friendly and chatted with me. The spicy snacks were amazing. I ended with a mini spicy curry. I will definitely go back again.

Whenever I return to Osaka, my spice friends, four elder brothers and sisters, gather together and visit two recommended restaurants. The first stop was "Spice Dining Nikki" for spice drinking. Surprisingly, it was my first time at a curry restaurant in the Honmachi area. Nikki does not accept reservations as a rule. It is said to be full every night, so this time we were specially granted a reservation, which was very much appreciated. The reason it fills up quickly is not only because of the wonderful atmosphere of the restaurant, but also because the dishes are truly satisfying and make you realize. Each dish was a "captivating killer dish" that grabbed the hearts and stomachs of spice lovers. Located about a 5-minute walk from Honmachi Station, this spice curry restaurant is quite popular in the evenings. When I visited around 7 pm on a weekday, about 80% of the seats were already taken. I ordered the appetizer assortment, herb skewers, and a finishing curry. For drinks, I had two glasses of rosé wine and a shochu soda. The chicken harami pickle in the appetizer assortment was spicy and delicious. The herb skewers were hot and tasty. For the finishing curry, I chose the "Thai-style coarse ground pork keema" from the special curry menu. The unique flavor of the keema and the hint of shrimp made this curry very enjoyable. I chose the Lamb and Cashew Nut Curry. Even though it was rated 2 stars for spiciness, it was really spicy! The flavor was rich and had a punch of spiciness. The portion of rice seemed generous. You can adjust the portion if needed! Looking back, I should have chosen the 2 curry option. Nikki's is known for its variety of toppings. They also offer a mini drink with lunch, which is a nice touch. Since the curry was too spicy, I also ordered a mini lassi for 100 yen. More customers kept coming in while I was eating, and there was always a line forming. I wonder when it became so popular! I would like to try a non-spicy curry next time.
