Today, I visited a restaurant in Awaza. I had a sudden craving for salt ramen, so I decided to try this place that I had been eyeing for a while. The restaurant opens around 12 PM on Sundays. I arrived a bit early to get a seat but ended up losing my spot while taking a walk around the area. The restaurant has a cozy Italian countryside vibe with only counter seating available. The menu has been slightly updated. I ordered the chicken ramen (salt clear soup) for 700 yen and a small chashu rice bowl for 300 yen. The owner, as mentioned by other reviewers, gives off a lively and energetic vibe as a dedicated ramen craftsman. His strong principles are evident in the meticulous cooking process, where each step is done with care and dedication. The preparation may take some time, but the wait is worth it. I was served the salt ramen and chashu rice bowl, both made with utmost care. The salt ramen had a unique and innovative design, unlike any I've had before. The taste was exceptional and left a lasting impression. The chashu rice bowl was also delicious, with a fantastic sauce. I forgot to try the signature Iberico pork topping this time, but I will make sure to try it next time. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

Nearby the Jingūmae Park, there is a ramen shop. I visited for the first time after 8 pm on a weekday. There were 4 regular customers already there. The menu mainly consists of 3 types: chicken ramen, Chinese-style ramen, and seafood chicken mixed ramen. I ordered the seafood chicken mixed ramen (large size) for 900 yen, and added a side of Taiwanese rice bowl for 200 yen. The mixed ramen comes with a sauce made from seafood and chicken, medium-thick noodles, thick slices of pork chashu, diced chicken chashu, and bamboo shoots. When you mix it from the bottom, a rich aroma of the sauce spreads out. The medium-thick noodles have a good texture, and the pork chashu is tender and juicy. The Taiwanese rice bowl has a sweet and savory flavor, and goes perfectly with the ramen.

Today was another hot day, with clear skies and a temperature of 34 degrees. I visited a restaurant called Kochinella for the first time, which I had been wanting to try. I arrived at 12 o'clock and was the first customer of the day. I sat inside the restaurant and ordered the chicken ramen for 700 yen and the chashu rice bowl for 350 yen. The food was served in about 10 minutes. The soup was delicious, with a rich flavor and no off-tastes. The noodles were medium-thick and straight, with a nice chewiness and a fragrant wheat aroma. The two types of chashu were tender and tasty. The chashu rice bowl had a sweet sauce topping, which tasted good, but the meat was a bit dry and fibrous, which was a bit disappointing. I finished my meal in about 15 minutes. It was delicious. I look forward to trying the Chinese ramen and the cold noodles next time. As I left the restaurant, there were already two people waiting in line.

I dropped by the restaurant and it was full, so I had to wait. They said they no longer offer the option to customize the flavor like they did last year. I was drawn to the idea of a Taiwanese rice bowl outside the restaurant, but they told me they didn't have that either. Oh well, I decided to order the chicken ramen, seasoned egg, Iberico pork shoulder char siu, and char siu rice bowl. I waited for over 20 minutes after being seated. I was excited to see what it would taste like. The presentation was amazing. The first bite was delicious. The soup was tasty, the char siu was great, everything was delicious... Wait, oh no, I think I ate too much meat. Maybe I got carried away. I can't keep up with my age. I shouldn't have ordered the char siu rice bowl. I usually don't finish the char siu... This is completely my mistake... Thank you for the meal... My stomach is not feeling well...

Today I had lunch at Kochinella in Awaza. It was my first visit to this restaurant in Kyomachi-bori. I sat at the counter and ordered the limited menu cold noodle salad for 900 yen. The chef at the back of the counter was carefully making each bowl of ramen. After about 10 minutes, my ramen arrived. The smooth noodles were neatly arranged in the bowl with toppings such as chicken, seaweed, green onions, and bonito flakes. The chicken was delicious and the presentation was unique compared to other ramen shops. The slightly thick cold soup paired well with the smooth noodles. It was a very tasty ramen. Thank you for the meal.

The Chuka soba was delicious. I could see the soup being made behind the counter, and it was clear that they put a lot of effort into it. The soup was really tasty. Plus, it was only 700 yen. The owner seemed intimidating at first, but turned out to be a friendly person. Will definitely go back.

It was a simple salt ramen. I didn't really feel the taste of the soup stock. The chicken-wrapped shiso chashu was delicious. The speed of service at the ramen shop is a bit slow, but I was able to enjoy it leisurely.

Arrived at 12:08 and waited for 1 person. Got seated at 12:14, but the ramen didn't come out until 12:38. The noodles were smooth and had a decent delicious taste, but the soup was a bit subtle. It may be a matter of personal preference as it is somewhat unique. Iberico chashu was delicious! Chicken soba (salt) with toppings of flavored egg and Iberico pork shoulder loin chashu.

I tried the Chicken Salt Ramen for 700 yen. The noodles felt a bit different, more like linguine in shape and texture rather than ramen. The soup was simple, with a chicken and salt flavor. It tasted homemade, with just chicken and salt. The toppings included chicken chashu, shiso roll, and diced ham. Other customers were adding a seasonal flavor change halfway through, and I regret not trying it. Next time, I'll definitely order it.

Chicken ramen with salt-flavored chashu rice bowl. The chicken ramen here is delicious! The soup is packed with flavor and has a nice balance of punch and mildness. I couldn't help but slurp up every last drop. The noodles are a perfect match for the soup, with a satisfying texture. The chashu rice bowl comes with menma, which is a nice touch. The chashu has a rich flavor that pairs well with the salt soup. It was truly delicious. Thank you for the meal.

- Chicken soba 700 yen - Limited quantity Chashu rice bowl (regular) 350 yen - Located about a 6-minute walk from Awaza Station on the Osaka Metro, this restaurant serves ramen during the day and ramen and Italian cuisine at night. - Soup: Clear chicken broth-based salt soup. - Noodles: Slightly thick, straight flat noodles. - Ingredients: Two types of chicken chashu, menma, white negi. - There are 6 seats at the L-shaped counter inside the restaurant. - I decided to try the salt ramen for a change. The bowl made by the robust-looking owner has a delicate soup with a hint of ginger behind the umami flavor. The noodles are just right, and they go well with the soup. The salt flavor, which I don't usually eat, is not lacking at all, and the chashu rice bowl is delicious without being too rich. I finished the bowl in no time. Thank you for the meal!

Awa-za [Coccinella] 29th cup @coccinella0808 Chicken soba ¥700 Iberico pork chashu ¥400 Flavored egg ¥100 Before the pork shabu, I went for lunch ramen. The ramen had a beautiful appearance with clear soup, and it was really delicious. I usually like rich flavors, but I've been enjoying light flavors lately. And the Iberico pork chashu is a must-have topping, it's seriously delicious and highly recommended. This place seems to have Italian food at night, I'd like to try it at night too. Located a 4-minute walk from Awa-za Station, this quirky ramen shop with only 6 counter seats offers a unique dining experience. The menu features a chicken ramen with Iberico pork chashu and flavored egg for 1,000 yen. The noodles are thick and chewy, similar to fresh pasta. The rich broth brings out the umami flavor of the salt. The chashu, made with Iberico pork and chicken, is a standout, especially the shiso-wrapped chashu which feels like a separate dish. Overall, the ramen was delicious, and Awa-za seems to have a high quality of ramen shops. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered chicken soba (without flavor change), seasoned egg, and extra char siu topping, as well as a side of mixed noodles. The chicken soba, despite being labeled as without flavor change, was actually quite flavorful and delicious. I added extra char siu, which came with a mysterious purple shiso-like ingredient in the center, adding an interesting twist to the dish. After finishing the noodles, I ordered the mixed noodles, which reminded me of my time in Kanto. The mixed noodles had a strong soy sauce flavor, making it enjoyable on its own or dipped in the original soup. I would definitely like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I visited "Kocchinella" in Nishi Ward, Osaka for lunch for the first time. Although I had been rejected in the past, this time I was able to enjoy a meal without any issues. The nearest station is Awaza on the Osaka Metro, about a 6-10 minute walk away. I went with a colleague around 12:40 on a weekday and there were a few customers already seated at the counter. We ordered a total of 1,000 yen worth of food, including: - Chicken soba (without flavor change) for 700 yen - Flavored egg for 100 yen - Taiwanese rice bowl (small) for 200 yen After a 10-minute wait, the ramen was served, followed by the Taiwanese rice bowl 2 minutes later. - Chicken soba (without flavor change): The soup base was chicken with a salt flavor. The noodles were chewy and medium-thick. The toppings included white leeks, two types of chicken chashu, and thin menma, with an additional flavored egg. It's hard to describe, but it was a unique and different kind of ramen. - Taiwanese rice bowl (small): The rice was topped with minced meat, green onions, and a yellow egg, with a hint of star anise which made it quite delicious. Despite being a small portion, it was satisfying and a good side dish to the ramen. The restaurant was run by a friendly owner, creating a unique ramen experience.

A cozy ramen shop in the Awa-za area. It has a small minimalist interior with only a counter. The owner runs the shop alone. The fish and chicken mixed ramen has thick slices of chashu that stand out, and the glossy noodles are distinctive. The flavor is quite strong, with a sweet soy sauce base.

On 2022/09/06 (Tue) at 20:00, I had a bowl of Chinese noodles for ¥700. I was the only customer today. I relaxed in the shop with FM playing in the background. The Chinese noodles, known for being "sweet", turned out to be quite sweet indeed. So, I decided to go with the "salt" option at this shop!!! The noodle texture was super clean and beautiful.

On 2022/09/05 (Monday) at 19:10, I had chicken soba for ¥700 at a bar-like place with an L-shaped counter. It was bright at night, but only the counter was available. I felt like just having noodles might not be enough, but for the first visit, I decided to stick with just ramen. Across from me, a couple was enjoying red wine. The master skillfully prepared the dish. When it arrived, I took a sip of the soup - was this really the original flavor? What amazing quality. I never expected to taste the original soup in Osaka! The noodles were the typical straight noodles commonly found in Kansai. As for the chashu, the chicken was cooked at low temperature and wrapped in shiso leaves. The pork was probably Iberico pork. This pork chashu was seriously delicious. They must be using high-quality meat. And there's no line here at all! Am I the only one eating this ramen?! Why isn't there a line forming for this ramen? It seems like the standards for ramen are completely different for Kansai people. Even though I've been impressed by highly-rated places before, there wasn't a single one that made me say "delicious." Anyway, when it comes to salt ramen in Osaka, this place is definitely number one. So, I'll keep this place a secret.

A quiet ramen shop located in a residential area near Utsubo Park. I arrived around 9pm and wanted to try the chicken ramen, but it was sold out. So, I ordered the Chuka Soba (700 yen) instead. The presentation was beautiful. The clear soup with slightly flat noodles looked very appealing. The chashu was lightly seared and rare. The soy sauce soup was quite simple and light, with a hint of sweetness. It had a refined chicken flavor. However, personally, I found the soup a bit lacking. The noodles were slightly flat, chewy, and had a good texture. I think they would be even better with a salt-based soup. Next time, I'll try the chicken ramen with salt. Thank you for the meal~

I visited "Kotchinella" restaurant. This place is located a 7-minute walk from Awaza Station and has a Tabelog rating of 3.61. I decided to check it out because my reliable food blogger friend #chanryomeshi gave it a high rating. The interior of the restaurant has an L-shaped counter with only 6-7 seats, and a young owner runs the place by himself. The restaurant serves ramen during the day and both Italian and ramen dishes at night. The owner has a bit of a unique vibe, and even though there were empty seats, you're expected to wait in the waiting area until he seats you. The service operation is quite poor, with the owner taking a long time to measure the noodles even after you order. The temperature of the soup was a bit too high, affecting the taste. The chicken broth soup was delicious, with a nice balance of flavors once it cooled down a bit. The Iberico pork chashu was especially tasty. The noodles were good, but the flavor-changing jelly they provide was unnecessary. The Taiwan rice bowl was also tasty and filling. Overall, it was a delicious chicken soup ramen, despite some shortcomings.

I visited the restaurant right after it opened and ordered at the counter. The interior had about 6 seats. I ordered the Chinese ramen. The soup had a chicken flavor with a sweet and light taste. The noodles were soft and thin. The toppings included chashu and menma. The chashu was rare and lightly seared, two types in total. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!
