I visited with a group of girls♡ We had the "Tonteki Course" (5000 yen), which included: ● A trio of appetizers (Irish cheddar, beer snacks, and carrot rapé) ● A platter of grilled sausages and bacon → I got really excited about the plump sausages and forgot to take pictures. But I'm pretty sure there wasn’t any bacon on it... The sausages were those super thick ones you can find at Kaldi♡ ● Fried lamb ribs → This might be tough for those who don't like lamb! I don’t mind it, so I had one piece (we each received one piece). ● Grilled cabbage Caesar salad → There were a lot of meat-loving girls, so we ended up leaving quite a bit... I think a regular Caesar salad would have been better at the start (laughs). ● Iberico pork tonteki → Even though it was a tonteki course, we were only allowed one piece each ( ´•̥̥̥ω•̥̥̥`). ● KOYOEN Neapolitan pasta → I filled up on beer too much and was almost too full to eat. But yes, I finished it. There was a variety of beers available, and we had a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option. The color definitely leans towards the black beer, but when I took a sip, I was surprised—wow, it tastes super fruity with grape! I thought the black beer would have a strong flavor, but the grape flavor stands out and it's sweet. It's delicious, but one glass is more than enough. I also ordered the ★India Pale Lager★, ★burnt cabbage with scallion sauce★, and ★thick-cut fish and chips★ in solo size through the touch panel. It’s located underground in the JP Tower, which was built as part of the redevelopment, and you can easily get there without getting wet, even in the rain, from Nagoya Station. Since it was a weekday, I was able to enter without any hassle. I was guided to the counter, where I could place my bags beside me, and they kindly allowed me to charge my phone, which was low on battery. The ordering process mainly involved using a tablet. I quickly started with a craft beer and chose some food, ordering my favorite grilled lamb and a limited edition scallop ajillo. The beer arrived promptly, but the food took quite some time. Although the menu wasn't huge, I was able to enjoy several kinds and felt pleasantly tipsy. As for the food, it was decent, but it cooled down quickly, so if you want to enjoy it, you should eat it right away. I indulged in a few craft beers before calling it a day. I was quite satisfied with the beer; however, the food could have used a bit more creativity to enhance my overall satisfaction. If you want to enjoy craft beer, I recommend this place.

I always order the white honoka because it’s easy to drink and delicious. I entered the restaurant around 2:30 PM, right after the weekday lunch rush. Unfortunately, the salads were sold out, which was disappointing, but I was happy to choose my own three types of sausages for the sausage platter. The dishes complement the beer perfectly, as expected from a beer house, and I left feeling satisfied and full.

This is a restaurant located in the KITTE building, which has a post office, in front of Nagoya Station. KOYOEN is a beer garden located next to the Sapporo Brewery in another part of Nagoya. The restaurant I visited this time is a Western-style diner, and I ordered the weekly hamburger lunch. The hamburger was delicious and made by a traditional restaurant.

I used this place for lunch. It's great that they serve lunch even on Sundays! Another plus is that lunch is available until 3 PM. They have options like steak and hamburgers, but this time I chose the pork steak (tonteki). The tonteki lunch was 1,050 yen (including tax) and came with rice, which they offered in a large portion for free! The flavor was strong and really made the rice enjoyable! You can also add a lunch drink for just 150 yen. Since I had some time before my next appointment, I ordered a drink and took my time enjoying the meal. It was nice that there were seats where you can eat comfortably even if you're alone!

I decided to start with some craft beer, and it was served almost immediately after I ordered. At places like Kirin City, they wait for the foam to settle before topping it off, which can take some time, but here it comes out right away, even spilling over with foam. The silky foam made for a delicious beer. There are various pouring techniques, it seems. The potato salad was almost entirely made of bacon with some potatoes mixed in, which paired perfectly with the beer when spread on the bread. It was very tasty. The tonteki (pork steak) was also delicious. The sauce was rich and went really well with the fried garlic—very tasty. Dipping the shredded cabbage in the sauce and eating it with the tonteki and fried garlic was absolutely the best. It made me enjoy the beer even more. The cost-performance ratio was good, and it was a great place overall. The only slight drawback was that the level of the photo frames in the interior decor caught my attention.

After the closing of "Ginza LION" in the old Meichika area, this is the place to enjoy Sapporo draft beer. You can savor Koyoen's original craft beer, black label, and Yebisu. The food is delicious and perfectly seasoned to pair well with the beer.

I ordered the popular No. 1 tonteki, but I was surprised by a distinct smell. Since it's tonteki, I didn't expect it to have a unique odor like lamb. The wait for my order was quite long, but the staff was very friendly, so I was able to think, "Well, it's cheap, so I guess this is what I get."

Most of the bars in the station building were fully booked, but luckily this one had an available table. When I mentioned to the staff, "The appearance is quite different from the menu photo," they just replied, "Yes," seeming unfazed, suggesting that perhaps they don't focus too much on appearances as long as the beer ratios are correct. Given that the beauty of the beer is supposed to be a selling point, this was a letdown. The lighting at the tables didn’t seem designed for taking great photos of the beer either. As for the food, many items I wanted to order were already sold out, but what I did try was on par with typical Western-style pub food. The set comes with rice and a cup of coffee for 1,300 yen, which I think is a great deal.

For food, we had herring marinated in vinegar, quirky gnocchi, smoky Caesar salad, Koyoen grill’s specialty plate, and raw shiitake mushrooms in beer fritters with matcha salt. The total came to just under 14,000 yen. The marinated herring was refreshingly zesty and full of vinegar, the gnocchi had a rich cheese flavor and a chewy texture, the salad was rich thanks to the smoky bacon, the grill plate featured flavorful white sausage, a spicy lemon seasoned lamb heart, a sweet and savory tonteki, and the fried shiitake mushrooms with cheese packed a deep umami flavor. Each dish paired perfectly with the beer. The flavors as a beer garden are highly refined. For beer lovers visiting Nagoya, the restaurant is conveniently accessible via an underground path from the station, making it an easy choice for a first stop. I highly recommend this place!

We arrived an hour early for our reservation, so we decided to stop by Koyouen for a pre-party. We thought we would have just a light snack, but the craft beer was so delicious that we both ended up ordering refills and trying four different kinds.
