I came to Osaka to watch the opening game of this season's American football. For dinner on the first day, I visited this restaurant, which I also visited in March this year. Last time, I arrived before 6 o'clock and waited for about 30 minutes to enter. There were some sold-out items, so this time I decided to have lunch with shaved ice and sweets only, and arrived around 5 o'clock, an hour before. As expected, I entered without waiting and there were no sold-out items. I ordered the recommended menu items from the beginning. Squid, tuna, grilled striped jack, flounder marinated in kelp, sardine, grilled bonito, marinated sea bream, sea urchin, squid ears, boiled domestic glass shrimp, sweet shrimp (forgot to take a photo), fatty tuna, grilled eringi mushroom, seared scallop, tekka maki, tamago, anakyu maki, red miso soup. This restaurant does not serve sashimi, etc., and operates on a system where you leave after 40 minutes of entering. For me, who is not a heavy drinker, it was not a problem at all, and rather convenient because they would make and serve the sushi right in front of you as soon as you ordered. I was completely satisfied by enjoying them with soy sauce, sudachi salt, ponzu, and other recommended or personal preferences. I will definitely visit again when I come to Osaka. Thank you for the meal.

I stopped by during my free time and the sushi was delicious with big pieces. They offer different ways to eat it with ponzu sauce, and surprisingly, some people were eating it with ponzu. I ordered the Shima Aji with large cuts, and it was firm yet full of flavor and delicious.

Set a 40-minute timer, and the thrill of not knowing what's coming, along with the chef's unique wordplay and sense of humor, makes the experience quite enjoyable. He also speaks Korean, which adds to the charm for tourists. The service is incredibly fast, so there's hardly any time to take photos. While there is a regular menu, it's best to go with the recommendations on the blackboard. The eel is delicious and melts in your mouth, and other dishes like squid and squid legs are also tasty. We ended up drinking two glasses of draft beer and were too full to eat much, which was a shame. Next time, we'll try more dishes. The red miso soup is piping hot, so it's recommended to order it at least 15 minutes in advance.

I went on a Saturday night, so there were a few groups waiting in line and the staff mentioned that they were running low on sushi. Despite that, I decided to wait since I had already come. The sushi I ordered was all delicious and it was a great experience.

Sushigin is famous for its meticulous work and fresh selection of ingredients! Today, they had a special lineup for the Tenjin Festival - it was amazing! From striped jack to eel, every dish was satisfying. You have to visit this popular restaurant on a day like this! (laughs)

Today is a holiday, Marine Day. I arrived at Sushigin at 11:30. After filling out the waiting board, I sat on a pipe chair and waited tranquilly. At 12:05, I heard the announcement for entry and sat at the counter. It's a 40-minute showdown! First, I was asked for a drink and I ordered cold tea. I received a small pitcher of cold tea in a teacup, which was very much appreciated. For my first order, I chose squid. Two pieces of squid were served in front of me. The squid was not just ordinary. The first piece with sudachi and salt was amazingly sweet. The squid was cut skillfully, and it melted in my mouth. The sweetness of the squid was enhanced by the sudachi and salt. Shrimp, crab miso, eel roll, amberjack fin, tuna, shinko roll, butterbur, striped jack, squid fin... before I knew it, 30 minutes had passed (there was a timer in front of me). For the final round, I had red miso soup and a few more pieces, and I was announced the winner. It was a sushi restaurant that I had been curious about for a while, and I finally got to visit. The cost performance is good, and the atmosphere and service are pleasant. It's a must-visit sushi restaurant, and the food was delicious. When I come to Tsuruhashi again, I would like to stop by casually. Adios. Thank you for the meal.

Osaka's Tsuruhashi is famous as a yakiniku (grilled meat) district, with a fish market nearby and a sushi restaurant that always has a long line right next to it. Sushigin is the name of the restaurant. Despite usually having a long line, on this day there was only a wait for 2 groups, so I decided to line up and try it out. Once inside, I quickly placed my order as instructed. I had decided in advance on the following items: grilled shima aji (striped jack) and marinated hirame (flounder). The sushi chef asked if I wanted soy sauce or ponzu, and I chose soy sauce. The food was incredibly delicious, especially the squid, which the chef mentioned was just a regular swordtip squid but was prepared exceptionally well. The wild yellowtail belly was also outstanding. The chef was entertaining and his banter added to the experience. I left feeling very satisfied, even though I had a late lunch and didn't order much. I look forward to returning and trying more dishes.

I arrived at the restaurant on Saturday around 1:00 PM and found about 5 groups waiting in line ahead of me. It seemed that they prioritize customers with complete groups, so luckily I was able to enter the restaurant within 15 minutes. The atmosphere inside was lively, and both the head chef and the hostess had a good sense of humor, making it a pleasant experience. I was initially worried about the 40-minute rule, but the food came out quickly after ordering, so I felt like I could eat at my own pace without feeling rushed. I especially enjoyed the sweet shrimp, squid, and sea urchin! The squid was incredibly tender and delicious, and I was surprised to hear that it was hand-prepared! I would definitely come back to try the Kawahagi liver topping as well.

Arrived at the counter at 4:45 pm on Friday, out of 10 seats, only 2 were available without waiting, and we were seated immediately. The restaurant operates on a strict 40-minute dining time limit. We ordered bottled beer, maguro (tuna), tsubugai (whelk), shima aji (striped jack), iwashi (sardine), negi (green onion) hand rolls, and toro uni (fatty tuna and sea urchin) sushi, totaling 5,350 yen. The prices are somewhat high, but the quality of the sushi is top-notch, comparable to high-end sushi restaurants. The tsubugai (whelk) in particular was amazing, even though it was just 880 yen for 2 pieces. Each piece was substantial and delicious. Each sushi order comes with 2 pieces, so it is recommended to go with a partner if possible. If dining alone, it's better to order the nigiri set and add on as needed, as the customer next to us did...笑

Set a timer for 40 minutes and enjoy the best sushi! This was my second visit. When I arrived a little after 11 am, the restaurant was already full, so I wrote my name down and waited outside on a chair they provided. When it was my turn to go in, I noticed that the manager had changed and the atmosphere felt a bit tense. However, the cheerful service from the female staff quickly made the atmosphere more relaxed. The sushi chef was handling everything alone, so make sure to wait until they ask for your order. While waiting, you can choose what you want to order. Some sushi may require additional seasoning like soy sauce, salt, sudachi, or ponzu. Each order of sushi comes with 2 pieces, so if you go with another person, they will place 1 piece of each kind on a leaf for each of you. Ordering the botan shrimp comes with a complimentary crispy fried shrimp head. Every type of fish was fresh and delicious. In particular, the striped jack, squid, bonito, and octopus were incredibly tasty. I left feeling satisfied and full. Thank you for the meal!

Tsuruhashi's popular budget sushi restaurant has a revolutionary system where meals are timed precisely with a 40-minute limit. First, I recommend the following menu items: sweet shrimp, fresh squid with green onions, and horse mackerel. The speed at which they serve sushi is dizzyingly fast! Every piece of sushi was fresh and satisfying!

No, cheap sushi at a local restaurant is fine, but I couldn't enjoy it at all because of the lack of explanation of the rules and the attitude of people who come in and immediately use chopsticks from the top or can't see the menu on the blackboard. I regret the 30-minute wait time.

Be careful because they provide 2 volumes per person when you go alone! This time, there were three of us! We just kept ordering sushi sets and adding more. Everyone recommends the sushi here!! Don't forget the squid ears, negitoro hand rolls, shima aji, and sea urchin!!

Today, I wanted to eat delicious sushi, so I decided to visit Sushigin in Tsuruhashi that my friend had recommended. This restaurant has a time limit of 40 minutes, so you have to finish eating within that time. When I arrived, there was already a long line, but after waiting for about an hour, I finally got inside. As soon as I sat down, the alarm was set, and I felt the pressure to eat as much as I could within the time limit. The sushi was served quickly, allowing me to try a variety of dishes. The chef explained each piece as he served it, and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the mackerel sushi roll with lots of green onions and the sea urchin and sweet shrimp, which were in season. The abalone was so fresh that it moved when I poured soy sauce on it. The eel and shrimp mayo roll were also very tasty. Overall, I was satisfied with the quality and speed of service at this restaurant. I would love to visit again when I'm in the area.

On this day, they had hage (kawahagi) in stock, so I decided to take a paid day off and went to this place on a weekday morning at 9:30 to make a reservation. I entered the restaurant for the first round at 11:00. I ordered kawahagi, kanpachi zuri, squid, sweet shrimp, shima aji, grilled hamachi, and raw and seared dishes, totaling 3,355 yen. Most customers were ordering the kawahagi, which had a rich flavor including the liver, and it was indeed delicious. The kanpachi zuri had a firm texture and excellent fatty flavor. The sweet shrimp had a good balance of sweetness and umami, and the squid and hamachi were consistently delicious. The shima aji had thick flesh and a crispy seared part that added a nice crunch. It was a good idea to go early in the morning as popular items tend to sell out by early afternoon.

There is a beloved sushi restaurant in Tsuruhashi that opens at 11 am. It's always crowded, with people lining up early to put their names down, and waiting for over an hour for lunch is normal at this popular spot. When I arrived at noon on this particular day, I was told there was about a 2-hour wait, so I wrote my name down and went shopping nearby. Once inside the restaurant, a timer was placed in front of me, indicating that I had exactly 40 minutes to finish my meal before leaving. This made it easy to keep track of the wait time. It's customary to order the eel sushi first as it takes some time to prepare. The eel sushi here is, in my opinion, the best in Japan - it's hot, fluffy, and easy to eat. I usually eat 4 pieces, savoring 2 pieces as they are and adding some sansho pepper to the remaining 2 pieces for an extra burst of flavor. Another must-order item for me is the winter-exclusive Hagakawahagi liver, known as "Hage." The crunchy texture of the fish combined with the rich, creamy liver is irresistible. I also always order the grilled horse mackerel and the grilled conger eel, along with a bottle of beer. I enjoy ordering my favorite sushi while sipping on beer, and the bill usually comes out to be under 5000 yen. I love this restaurant so much that after three months, I start to crave their food again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Visited for the first time with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. Arrived around 4pm and there were two people waiting outside. We wrote our names and number of people on the waiting board and sat down to wait. We were soon seated. The restaurant only has a counter and operates on a 40-minute limit. The prices for sushi are per 2 pieces, which is great. They offer beer for 600 yen, kombu with fish roe for 550 yen, flounder for 385 yen, tuna for 385 yen, squid for 440 yen, salmon for 385 yen, red miso soup for 275 yen, fatty tuna for 550 yen, egg for 275 yen, shinko roll for 220 yen, and grilled eringi mushrooms for 385 yen. Everything was very delicious and the prices were quite reasonable. I would definitely like to visit again.

The squid somen melts in your mouth and is delicious. The sardines were soft, boneless, and without any fishy smell. The chef recommended it as well. The eel takes some time to cook after ordering, so it's best to order it early. It was thick, hot, and delicious. The sushi rice was well balanced with the toppings, making it easy to eat and savor the flavors. They only accept cash. The total bill for two people was 7150 yen.

As expected of a popular restaurant, the food is delicious and the cost performance is great. It's amazing that they offer this quality of food at this price! To eat, you first need to take a number. The restaurant opens at 11:00, but in the morning, you need to write your name and number of people on the waiting board set up outside the restaurant. Then, at 11:00, you gather in front of the restaurant. The seating inside is limited to a 40-minute time slot, and it's recommended to decide on your order before entering. The group needs to order together, and you cannot order whenever you want. On this day, it was relatively empty. We wrote our names at 9:00, explored Koreatown in Tsuruhashi, and arrived in front of the restaurant before 11:00. We were called right at 11:00 and entered the restaurant. Once seated, we quickly placed our order. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the delicious food, including the head chef's strictness, made the experience enjoyable. We ordered from the recommended menu, and when we only ordered two items, we were told, "Is that all? You should have ordered more first, or the next order will take a while!" So we quickly ordered two more items. It seemed like the system was to wait for other groups to order before it was our turn again. It was a bit chaotic, but we enjoyed the food. We had the following dishes for around 2000 yen: 1st round: Grilled shimaaji (striped jack) and Shiratama (mochi) with soy sauce, squid. 2nd round: Grilled buri (yellowtail) and geoduck clam. 3rd round: Grilled shimaaji (repeat) and squid (repeat). We quickly finished the meal and left in about 20 minutes. Everything was delicious, and we were satisfied with our sushi meal. We will definitely visit again!

I had never entered this restaurant before because it always has a long line, but this time it wasn't crowded so I decided to give it a try. I was completely satisfied and would like to try it again when there isn't a long line.

JR Tsuruhashi Station is about a 10-minute walk from the central ticket gate. If you take the Kintetsu line, it's about 3-4 minutes. I visited "Sushigin" for the first time in a while. I arrived around 6:30 pm on a weekday and was seated immediately after confirming that there was a limited selection of fish. The rule at Sushigin is to leave within 40 minutes. If you want to take your time, it's better to go to another place as well. I ordered 8 items and a beer, which came to 4,340 yen. The balance between price and taste for all items was satisfying! Tuna (385 yen) - Classic, a must-try item Salmon (385 yen) - A bit small in size Tekka Maki (385 yen) - Consistently good taste Ebi Mayo Maki (385 yen) - Tastes like for kids, cucumber is good, but I want to try it with shiso leaf once Torigai (385 yen) - You can choose between soy sauce, sweet sauce, or yuzu flavor Squid (440 yen) - You can choose between yuzu salt or soy sauce Anago (660 yen) - Fluffy and generous portion, served seared Uni (1,100 yen) - Excellent Beer (price unknown) - A must-have item for me in the end, as I enjoy it with alcohol. The rice portion is on the smaller side, but I always end up feeling satisfied with the usual amount of food while enjoying the sushi and chatting about random topics. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again soon. Payment is in cash!
