Tabelog rating of 3.61. Located in a shopping street in Fukushima. It seems that the area around Fukushima Station is quite competitive in the soba genre. The restaurant was full when I arrived around 12:30 on a weekday. The interior was cozy with about 10 seats, and there were cute paintings on the ceiling. Many customers seemed to be enjoying dishes and drinks like beer and sake, with soba as a finishing touch. The menu offered a choice between coarse-ground and thin-cut soba, which was rare. I ordered the "Duck Soup with Thin-Cut Soba" for 1,500 yen and the "Spicy Daikon with Coarse-Ground Soba" for 1,200 yen. First, I tried the Spicy Daikon with Coarse-Ground Soba. The soba was thick and coarse-ground, giving it a strong flavor. I opted for zaru soba style with katsuobushi and grated daikon on top, which was refreshing. The texture of the soba was like brushing your teeth. There was no heaviness on the stomach. The Duck Soup with Thin-Cut Soba was more delicate, with a light broth and juicy duck meat. The grilled green onions added a nice touch. The soba water was also delicious. Overall, the soba was excellent. I wonder if it will become a famous shop someday. I enjoyed the meal. Thank you.

The expectations were met. The flavor of the soba, the delicate texture of the finely shredded noodles, and the smoothness when swallowing were all good. The bright and refreshing interior, surrounded by large windows, also added to the enjoyable dining experience. Although the restaurant is a bit far from the station, it is definitely worth a visit.

I chose the grated radish today because I had tried other options before. I could choose between fine or coarse grated radish, and I also got to enjoy soba-yu at the end. The soba noodles were delicious as always, but the grated radish added a nice touch and made it even more delicious.

【April 29, 2023】Concert at To Symphony Hall. A famous maestro tweeted about his "favorite restaurant" and I decided to visit the soba shop. When I asked the owner, he said he didn't know who the person was (laughs). "Do you know them?" "No, they are someone who occasionally appears on TV." "Oh, I see. I'll make sure to watch out for them." This shop is a bit far from the station, so there is no line, which is great.♪♪ I really liked it. (laughs) The soba was delicious.♪♪ ●I ordered the spicy grated daikon (coarse ground) for 1,200 yen (tax included) Large size for an additional 400 yen Duck broth (coarse ground) for 1,500 yen Thank you for the meal.

Modestly speaking, it's the best of the best. The kindness of the waitress made me burst into tears. The large, crunchy salt crystals added a fun texture to the delicious dish. The chopsticks are homemade and you can take them home, which is great. Thank you, I'll definitely come back. The nostalgic atmosphere of the surrounding area is also irresistible. The large portion was gone in no time. Next time, I'll eat 82904021767293093 plates.

"Restaurants that offer a dining experience that exceeds the price" There are 441 restaurants nationwide selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand 2023, with 99 in Osaka and 3 in the Fukushima Seiten-dori shopping street. One of the restaurants I visited is Sobakiri Karani-san. Every time I passed by the restaurant, I saw it was always full, so I wanted to try the unique tradition of having a light snack before eating soba, called "soba-mae." I had the following dishes: Shizuoka local sake, Masayuki Junmai freshly pressed (served in a cup for ¥400 with bonito shavings), homemade karasumi (only available for solo diners for ¥1,000), and cold soba with grated daikon (coarse ground for ¥900). Unexpectedly caught in the rain in the morning, I found the restaurant empty, so I decided to take shelter and try the soba-mae experience for the first time. I enjoyed the local sake in a cup and the bonito shavings were a delightful surprise. The homemade karasumi had a deep umami flavor with a perfect balance of saltiness. Paired with the sake, it was an unbeatable combination. The soba, meant to be chewed to fully appreciate its unique sweetness, was served cold with a choice of fine or coarse ground. I opted for the coarse ground, and it was a perfect match with the rich flavor of the soba. The grated daikon enhanced the umami of the karasumi, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The soba-yu made from the soba was also delicious, with a mild and fragrant taste. I felt extremely satisfied and happy after this meal. It was a truly enjoyable experience, and I look forward to returning in the evening to try their dashimaki soba. Thank you for the wonderful meal."

I was impressed by how comforting this restaurant was, even though it was my first time. The hospitality of the staff, the wooden interior of the restaurant, the perfect distance between customers - everything made me feel warm even before eating. I visited with the intention of fully enjoying local sake, so I ordered child-bearing konjac and tofu moromi-zuke first. It was my first time trying child-bearing konjac, and it was a light and perfect snack to pair with sake! I won't go into detail about each sake I tried, but I was surprised by the cloudy appearance of the first one, yet it was light and refreshing, and all of them had impeccable flavors. For the finale, I chose the fine-cut and coarse-ground duck soba, and both soba dishes were delicious even with just salt. Personally, I prefer the light and easy-to-eat fine-cut soba. I would love to visit this restaurant again.

Fukushima Station is about a 10-minute walk away from a soba restaurant. Be careful not to confuse it with the soba restaurant nearby. The owner trained at "Sobakiri Tensho," a famous shop near Hirakata Station. I recently visited there for a comparison. This time, I tried both thin-cut and coarse-ground soba. I usually prefer coarse-ground, but the thin-cut soba here was also delicious with a chewy texture and a nice aroma. The interior design of the restaurant has changed, so if you're curious, take a 360-degree look around!笑

Today, I visited Soba Kirinuki Karani-san in Sagisou, Fukushima. I ordered the coarsely ground soba and the duck soup dipping soba (thinly sliced). Both had a nice aroma of soba, and the coarsely ground soba was especially delicious. The soba broth had a sharp bonito flavor that I like, and I finished it all in no time.笑

On this day, I went to Osaka for work. I found a delicious soba restaurant nearby, even though it was a bit early for lunch. I decided to eat before the line got too long. Inside the restaurant, there was only one chef. He seemed to be doing everything by himself, giving off a slightly sharp atmosphere. I could sense his artisan spirit. I was sure that the soba served at such a place would be delicious. I chose the thin-cut soba from the options of rough-ground or thin-cut. The soba served was very elegant in appearance, yet the aroma was full of wild strength. I had a feeling that the soba was going to be amazing. I started by eating it with salt as recommended. I couldn't enjoy the texture, but I could taste the soba's aroma and flavor directly. I only intended to have a bite, but I couldn't stop eating it with salt. However, I had to try the soup as well. The soup didn't have a particularly strong personality, but its subtle taste was just right. Eating it, I could feel the soba's aroma passing through my nose from the moment it went down my throat. The texture was also great. I felt like alternating between eating it with salt and with soup. I ordered a large serving, and although I was a bit surprised by the volume when it was served, it disappeared in no time once I started eating. That's how delicious it was. Lastly, the soba dipping sauce. It was rich and delicious. From start to finish, it was a perfect deliciousness.

A soba restaurant located in a shopping street in Fukushima. I ordered the finely cut zaru soba (900 yen) and the large serving of duck soup (1400 yen + 400 yen for large serving). The finely cut zaru soba is, as the name suggests, thin. It is firm and not overpowering, with a light and smooth texture. On the other hand, the duck soup has thick pieces of duck meat which is delightful. The duck meat and green onion broth is flavorful yet gentle. The coarse-ground soba has a strong soba aroma and is delicious. Personally, I recommend the coarse-ground soba. When I visit a soba restaurant, I want to taste soba with a strong aroma. The soba broth is thick and satisfying. Above all, the service was excellent, making the dining experience enjoyable. Thank you for the meal.

After enjoying the Takatsuki Jazz, I went to a soba restaurant in Fukushima. It's a soba restaurant where you can enjoy sake. Everyone is drinking. The restaurant opened at 5:00 PM, but I arrived at 4:47 PM and waited outside for 13 precious minutes of my life. It was soon fully booked. The soba was incredibly delicious! And the sake! I was a bit drunk, so I couldn't tell if the soba was strong, but the smoothness of the sake was amazing. However, the serving time for the soba was so slow! It was served at 5:47 PM! To enjoy life, you need good time management, cost awareness, and a slow life approach.

I love the soba noodles at Soba Kirito-ni-san. The master is quiet but the soba noodles are always delicious and satisfying. I always order the duck soup soba noodles here! The flavor of the duck, the fat, everything is exquisite! The broth is also delicious and the aroma of the soba noodles is perfect! Personally, this is my favorite soba noodles in Osaka! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is great, with people enjoying drinks from noon onwards. If it was closer, I would definitely visit all the time. I will come back again! Thank you for the meal!

I ordered the "oroshi" (coarse ground) soba for ¥900 and the duck soup for ¥700. It's a bit far from Fukushima Station, but still within walking distance. I went on a weekday during lunchtime and waited about 10 minutes for the eagerly anticipated coarse ground soba. The coarse ground texture is evident, giving a strong buckwheat flavor and excellent chewiness. The rough surface allows the broth and grated daikon to mix well, creating a perfect balance of refreshing flavors. The duck soup is rich with soy sauce and floating slices of fatty duck breast. The soup is so rich that the fat is visibly floating on the surface, and the smoothness of the broth is incredible. The chewiness of the soba noodles is outstanding. This coarse ground soba is a unique and satisfying dish. I highly recommend trying the duck soup as well. Don't miss out on it.

I called to inquire and was told that reservations were not available, so I visited the restaurant at its opening time of 5:00 PM. When I arrived at around 5:00 PM, there were already about three groups waiting in line outside, and the restaurant had limited seating, so it was touch and go whether we would be able to get in. This soba restaurant is popular among drinkers, so once you get a seat, the turnover time is a mystery. Therefore, if you really want to go, I recommend going right at opening time. The dishes were all excellent and paired well with alcohol. The portion sizes were not too large, so we ordered everything on the menu. Personally, I really liked the daikon with dried young sardines as it had a nice spicy kick. The tofu with moromi-zuke was also a perfect match with the sake. By the way, you don't choose the sake brand here, the staff will bring you their recommended sake. We finished with soba noodles and soba broth, feeling warm and satisfied. It was my first time having soba with alcohol, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks.

Located in Osaka Fukushima, this fortune-telling shopping street is not easily recognizable as a soba restaurant from the outside. I knew that "Kara-ni" was in Fukushima, but I had never noticed it as I passed by. One day, after receiving something from another store, I took a closer look and realized, "This is Kara-ni!" When I visited on another day, the line was long, probably because it was a Saturday. I ordered the coarse-ground soba. Despite being coarse-ground, the soba was not rough or mushy, but had a smooth texture. It had a strong flavor and was truly delicious, just as the reviews had said. The service was not overly familiar or cold, but struck a good balance. There was plenty of soba-yu (soba water) available, making for a satisfying soba experience. Thank you for the meal!

"Soba Kiri Karani" is a soba restaurant for adults who enjoy sake and side dishes! Located about a 6-minute walk from JR Osaka Loop Line Fukushima Station, in the Fukushima Seiten Shopping Street in Fukushima-ku. The exterior looks quite different from the typical image of a soba restaurant, and you might not even realize it's a soba restaurant at first glance. Once you enter the shop through the long curtain and sliding door, you'll find a small round table for 2 near the entrance, a large table for about 6 people in the middle, and a counter seat at the back with an open kitchen. The interior is decorated with a warm wooden touch, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. You can choose between "fine ground" and "coarse ground" soba, each offering a unique texture and flavor. I tried the "fine ground" soba in a large portion with duck soup. The beautifully white soba noodles were carefully made and cooked. The aroma and sweetness of the soba spread in my mouth with each bite. The duck soup had a refined broth flavor with the sweetness of green onions and tender duck meat. The handmade chopsticks were a nice touch, and the rich soba broth served at the perfect timing enhanced the overall dining experience. The staff's service was attentive and friendly, making it a hidden gem loved by soba enthusiasts. Although slightly on the pricier side for lunch, it's definitely worth a visit for soba lovers and non-soba enthusiasts alike. Highly recommended!

On weekends around noon, I was lining up at a popular soba restaurant in Fukushima. The exterior had a modern atmosphere, while the interior had a unique and cozy design. Despite the limited seating, the staff were very polite and welcoming, with many elderly regular customers. After waiting for over 30 minutes, I finally got a seat. I tried the following dishes: - Thinly sliced soba (900 yen): Firm and chewy texture, delicious with flavorful dipping sauce. - Coarsely ground soba (900 yen): Soba with a slightly darker color and visible grains, satisfying to chew with a strong aroma. - Rolled omelette (750 yen): Vibrantly yellow rolled omelette, fluffy and bursting with flavor from the broth. Overall, the food was incredibly delicious, especially the broth. I would definitely love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Open on Saturday at 11:00, just as 2 customers were leaving at 11:15. The noodles were thick and delicious, with a short and crunchy texture. The flavor was enhanced by adding rock salt. The broth was refreshing with a slight sweetness. The unique and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant made the dining experience enjoyable until the end. Thank you for the meal.

Visit date and time 2021/06/14 12:05 I visited "Sobakiri Karani" during my work lunch break. The restaurant is located on the north side of the railway tracks at JR Fukushima Station on the Osaka Loop Line, within the "Seiten-dori Shotengai" shopping street. I ordered the "Hosokiri" soba. If it suits your preference, the menu item "Aragaki" might have been more suitable. However, on this day, I prioritized the coolness. Food & Taste 3.3: The "Hosokiri" soba is slightly thinner than usual. Just before finishing, soba-yu (soba water) is served. The soba is light, long, and has a firm texture. I tried a small amount as is, and the flavor of the soba was surprisingly subtle. The broth has no sharpness, and the wasabi enhances the umami rather than being spicy. Overall, it has an elegant taste that is well-balanced. It seems like it would be liked by women and older people. It is unclear whether it would appeal to younger people. Personally, I prefer a slightly stronger flavor. Service 3.9: The floor staff was polite and kind. When they noticed I had luggage, they immediately announced to the neighboring seat to use it as a luggage rack. Upon leaving, they warned me about the slope at the entrance. Additionally, as a farewell gesture, they bowed at the entrance. Although it is a shop in a shopping street, I thought they were from a traditional Japanese restaurant. Atmosphere 3.3: The interior is designed in a Japanese style with wood accents. The lighting is dim, but the sunlight coming through the large entrance window creates a nice ambiance. There is no background music. There was one customer before me and two customers after me. Cost Performance 3.1: The "Hosokiri" soba costs 900 yen. It may be the standard price for soba. It is slightly on the higher side for lunch, but the taste and environment are satisfactory. Drink - Data unavailable. This restaurant is suitable for solo diners, couples, or small groups.

After enjoying the appetizers, I ordered the Aragaki soba for 900 yen. The noodles were thinner than I expected but had a robust flavor. The aroma was also excellent. The dipping sauce was firm and well-balanced, leaning more towards Kanto style than Kansai. It complemented the soba well. I first tried the soba with the sauce, then added a bit of rock salt for a stronger flavor, which was amazing. The soba flavor was rich and sweet. After finishing the soba, I enjoyed the soba-yu, which was thick and delicious. The restaurant had a stylish yet lively atmosphere, and I definitely want to come back here again.
