Congratulations to fans of the Nippon-Ham Fighters! I received a diamond seat ticket and sat behind the back net at the Sapporo Dome, which will be the last home game for the Nippon-Ham Fighters this year. However, the Chiba Lotte Marines lost the game. They hit a grand slam in the first inning and Romero's missed first base cost them the winning points. Oh no, the winning streak before the All-Star break has ended. Congratulations. The losing streak before the All-Star break has ended. As expected, the game started with Wada making a tag out at first base, and at that moment, I knew there was no chance of winning. I started preparing to leave, but decided to stay until the end of the game. Sure enough, they lost. I decided to go eat at a nearby restaurant called "Warakatei." The sushi here is as good as Triton or even better. I hope they open a branch in Asahikawa. It's been about 4 years since I last visited. I arrived before the current Nippon-Ham Fighters fans, so I was able to enter quickly. The restaurant was already packed soon after. The current menu looks interesting. I want to try all the dishes from the menu. The letters are small, so it's hard to read. The small letters are not clear unless you focus carefully, and the restaurant uses handwritten orders instead of touch screens. I decided to take my time and enjoy the food. The conveyor belt sushi started moving a bit. I haven't been to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in a while, so I'm not sure if they all still have moving lanes. Warakatei had a few dishes moving on the conveyor belt. But I still prefer ordering freshly made dishes. I tried dishes like white trevally, horse mackerel, and flounder. White fish tastes so good. Warakatei's quality is really high. The flounder was delicious, and the vinegar rice paired well with the mild white fish. The soy sauce had a dashi flavor, which matched perfectly with the white fish. I want to try all the dishes, but I can't eat too much. The "Nikai Toro Salmon Futami" dish caught my eye. I looked it up and found out that it's from Futami, a town in Hakodate. Futami is the only place in Japan with two seas, the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan. The salmon caught there is called "Dosanko Salmon." It tasted different from regular salmon, with just the right amount of fat. The thick-cut tuna belly was good, although it didn't have a lot of fat. It tasted more like medium fatty tuna, but it was still delicious. The thick-cut eel was my umpteenth eel dish this month. It seems like I'm having an eel feast this month. The eel tasted like it was grilled in a kabayaki style, giving me a feeling of eating a small eel bowl. Eel and conger eel are different but both delicious. The conger eel is tender from being simmered, while the eel is grilled in a kabayaki style. They are similar yet different. I should have brought my own Sansho pepper. The flatfish was said to be from Ishikari. It had plum paste and salt sprinkled on top. I only added a few drops of soy sauce before eating it. It was incredibly delicious. Eating flatfish like this is a real luxury. I wanted to eat something good since the Chiba Lotte Marines lost. The "Tsubasa Saba" dish was a branded mackerel from Warakatei. They have a contracted fishing ground in Higashi-cho, Kagoshima, where they raise mackerel exclusively for Warakatei. This mackerel was incredibly tasty, with a rich flavor and no fishy smell. The richness of the mackerel stuck to my tongue, making it the best dish. If you like mackerel, I recommend trying this dish.
