I finally got to visit Denden, which has relocated from Sakae to Imaike! I used to go to their Sakae location several times. The new Imaike restaurant has a similar layout with a counter and tables, but it feels more spacious and relaxed than the Sakae location. I ordered the fish lunch set, which included an appetizer and salad, all-you-can-eat bread, and a generous portion of main course: sautéed Spanish mackerel steamed in a seafood broth. It was a wonderfully relaxing lunch after a long time. I'll definitely come back for dinner next time! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had lunch at a restaurant that opened at noon. I made a reservation. The special fish of the day was swordfish in tomato sauce, so I ordered that. The appetizer selection included roast ham, amberjack marinated, quiche, and pumpkin soup, served with a generous portion of fresh vegetables and a light, delicious dressing. (I was so busy listening to the descriptions, I forgot to take a picture!) I remembered to photograph my main course: the swordfish in tomato sauce and the homemade bread. The swordfish was served on a bed of cabbage, with scallops and clams alongside the tomato sauce, and creamy mashed potatoes with a nice buttery flavor. They offered bread refills, but I was quite satisfied with the generous portion of my main course. It was a delicious meal! I’ll definitely try their paella next time.

The homemade focaccia was incredibly delicious and served piping hot. The food was all amazing, truly impressive! The price was also excellent. I ordered the beef stew, and the sauce was exquisite – full of porcini mushrooms and other kinds of mushrooms, with an incredible aroma. The meat was incredibly tender. Next time, I'll definitely try the limited-edition paella lunch.

I had been wanting to visit Denden-san for a while. I previously enjoyed a paella at a festival there, but this time I wanted to try a lighter lunch. My friend had beef while I had fish, and we shared our dishes. The meat was tender and delicious. The sea bream aquapazza was flavorful with the richness of clams—very nice! It was easier to eat than at a certain popular place in Kamimaezu. The dish I liked the most was the onion something-or-other for the appetizer; I regret that I can't remember the name... Unfortunately, I had a bit of a stomachache, so I'm hoping to come back in better shape and order the paella next time. I'll definitely be back! (o・・o)/~

It's been a while since my last visit. Recently, I've been focusing on finding delicious lunch spots that serve meals under 2,500 yen. The key point is not using expensive ingredients, but rather seeing how much flavor can be extracted from ordinary ingredients. This time, I chose a dish made with beef cheek braised in Madeira wine. I was torn between this and aquapazza, but since my last visit featured aquapazza, I went with this option. I thought there might be a slight gamey taste, but overall, the flavor was good. Among the bistros I've visited recently, such as Chez Toto, KIZKI, and DEN DEN, these tend to be the lowest ranked for me.

I regularly crave the paella lunch at Bistro Denden in Imaike. The paella lunch is reservation-only. Although I haven't yet encountered the squid paella, this time I had the duck paella. The appetizer platter included marinated octopus, quiche, soup, and prosciutto—everything was delicious. The paella itself was visually stunning, and the chef portioned the meat for us. The flavorful rice infused with broth and the savory aroma of the duck combined to create an incredibly tasty dish. Just thinking about it makes me want to have it again. As for dessert, there was a chocolate terrine. Apparently, this one doesn't use any flour and is served with a sprinkle of rock salt and a drizzle of olive oil, which made it exceptionally delicious. This was my first experience with such a chocolate terrine, and I loved it ❤️. I definitely want to try it again. Next time, I’d like to sample the regular lunch.

I had heard about the creative Spanish restaurant "Bistro Den Den" located in Ikeshita, Chikusa Ward, which is well-known and featured among the top 100 restaurants, but I never had the chance to visit until now. This time, I made a reservation to use my Tabelog points, and I was blown away by how delicious everything was! I wasn't too attracted by the exterior of the restaurant, but the staff were friendly and welcoming, and most importantly, the food was incredible. I chose the Lunch Set which included a salad, appetizer, main dish, and homemade bread. For the main dish, I selected the beef (2,000 yen). **Appetizers:** - Homemade roast ham - Marinated octopus with alioli sauce - Homemade mayonnaise and garlic sauce - Onion blancmange with mentai sauce **Main Dish:** - Beef cheek braised in Madeira wine with porcini cream sauce **Homemade Focaccia:** Starting with the appetizers, everything was delicious - the homemade roast ham was tender and melt-in-your-mouth. The homemade mayonnaise had a rich French sauce-like quality, and the onion blancmange was sweet and delightful. I was already exceeding my expectations, but the main dish of braised beef cheek in Madeira sauce with porcini cream sauce took me by surprise. One bite made my eyes widen with how delicious it was! The beef cheek was tender and juicy, and the porcini cream sauce was absolutely fantastic. The flavor of the Madeira braised beef and the cream sauce seemed to have a perfect chemical reaction! Sometimes you come across a flavor that feels like you could eat it forever (is it just me?), and this was definitely one of those dishes! The homemade focaccia, soaked in olive oil and lightly baked, was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I enjoyed it with the beef sauce, making sure to savor every drop. Overall, it was a lunch that satisfied both in quantity and flavor. It's no wonder it's in the top 100, and I bet the other lunch options like pork and fish are just as delicious. I definitely want to come back!

I visited for lunch for the first time after being invited by a friend. Shortly after arriving, there was a little accident that put me in a down mood, but the deliciousness of the food completely lifted my spirits. We shared a lunch featuring beef, pork, seafood, and both seafood and duck paella among five of us, which made it fun to try a variety of dishes. The roasted pork, in particular, was cooked to my liking and was absolutely perfect. The desserts, including the Basque cheesecake and chocolate cake, were subtly sweet and paired wonderfully with wine, making for a delightful moment. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

A popular restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from Ikeshita Station. I made a reservation on Tabelog a week ago and finally visited. I ordered the lunch set, which included a fish main dish and a dessert (2,200 yen). The starter, main (fish), homemade bread, and dessert (Basque cheesecake) were all creatively prepared and left a light aftertaste, making me very satisfied. The Basque cheesecake was made without any wheat, showing a dedication to quality in every aspect. The service was impeccable, and I felt it was a fantastic restaurant overall. I will definitely come back again.

Located near Nakata Intersection, this popular restaurant faces Hirokoji Street and offers creative Spanish cuisine using fresh ingredients sourced that day. I had been curious about this place for a while and made a reservation for their "Paella Lunch," which accommodates one group per day (up to two people). They offer two types of paella, which can be ordered separately. The "Shrimp and Clam" paella is infused with a rich seafood broth, delivering a deep umami flavor. The "Duck Thigh" is expertly grilled over charcoal, and the owner helps by deboning and shredding it, making it easy to eat. It’s delicious enhanced with lemon and homemade mayonnaise to taste. The appetizers are prepared with great care, and the homemade "Basque-style Cheesecake" is a delightful dish, made without flour and with minimal sugar, relying solely on the power of eggs for its texture. The owner's service is attentive and welcoming, making the atmosphere very comfortable. I would definitely like to visit again. **Paella Lunch** (1 group per day, up to 2 people): * Salad and a trio of appetizers - Tortilla - Onion Blamange - Homemade Rosé Ham - Sardine Escabeche - Green Salad * Today's Paella (choice of): - Shrimp and Clam Paella - Duck Thigh Paella □ Drinks: Tea or Coffee □ Today's Dessert: Basque-style Cheesecake with rock salt and freshly ground black pepper #bistrodenden #SpanishCuisine #Spanish #Bistro #NagoyaGourmet #NagoyaLunch #NakataGourmet #NakataLunch #bistrodenden #spanish #bistro

Today's dinner was here. I came alone after making a reservation in advance. It was a weekday, but there was a "fully booked" sign outside the restaurant. There was one group of four and a regular customer, plus me, but there were empty seats, indicating a relaxed atmosphere. I took a seat at the counter. Even though I was alone, I was excited to have a selection of dishes and paella. The appetizer served was bruschetta, toasted with a delicious black truffle paste on top. This gave me high expectations, and it was indeed delicious! Here’s what I ordered: ◆ Food Orders - Assorted Appetizers (1,480 yen): A plate featuring smaller portions of popular appetizers. This day included marinated carrots, gorgonzola potato salad, homemade oil sardines, homemade roast ham, prosciutto with dried figs, cold white wine simmered mackerel, apple with sour cream, marinated octopus and celery, shrimp with avocado, and onion blancmange. It was luxurious! Each dish had a special touch, pairing well with drinks. Personally, I loved the gorgonzola potato salad, oil sardines, and roast ham. - Sanma Paella (3,580 yen): After some hesitation, I chose paella made with sanma, a fish that signifies autumn. It was cooked from raw rice and absorbed the seafood broth during the process. The prominent sanma was placed in the center, along with lotus root, mushrooms, ginger, and small clams, resembling a Japanese-style mixed rice. It was incredibly delicious, capturing the essence of autumn. The sanma was fluffy, and the bones were perfectly removed. The crunch of the lotus root and the flavor of ginger were wonderful! Squeezing lemon on top midway made it refreshing. It was said to be about a cup’s worth of ingredients, and I finished it all happily. ◆ Drink Orders - Beer (Carlsberg) 700 yen - Glass of White Wine (Chardonnay from Southern France) 990 yen Thank you for the meal! I only ordered two items, but the satisfaction was high. I was thrilled to enjoy Spanish cuisine alone, and the calm atmosphere of the restaurant was a perfect spot to relax. I definitely plan to visit again. *Rating at the time of visit: 3.61*

I made a reservation to dine with a friend and visited for the first time at night. We started with a delicious appetizer flavored with truffles. For our order, we had a plate of assorted appetizers, prosciutto served with the perfect companion, muscat grapes. The bread for the ajillo was incredible, and the beef dish of the day featured tender, slow-cooked meat served generously. Then we had duck confit paella, followed by the finale of the Basque cheesecake, garnished with salt and pepper. Every dish was exquisite and meticulously prepared, making for a truly delightful experience. It was a wonderful restaurant that I definitely want to visit again.

We enjoyed a limited paella course for two during lunch. I had been interested in this place for a while but had difficulty making a reservation until I happened to find one available the day before our visit. There are two types of paella, and we ordered one of each. The staff was very attentive, even helping to shred the meat for us, showcasing their great service spirit. Both the meat and seafood paella were flavorful and delicious. The restaurant had a display of wines that caught my eye, so I definitely want to enjoy some wine with our meal on our next visit.

I visited for lunch and it might be better to make a reservation. Without a reservation, it could be difficult to get a seat. Luckily, I was able to have lunch. There were three options to choose from, and this time I had the sea bream in aquapazza. The rich broth and the fluffy, crispy skin of the sea bream were amazing. By the way, you can choose from beef, pork, or fish. The restaurant is known for its charcoal grilling, so I would like to try that next time.

The sign says "bistro," but it's actually a Spanish restaurant. While "bistro" is French, "bar" is more commonly used in Spanish, right? I made a reservation for Saturday at noon. The place has 7 counter seats, a table for four, a table for two, and more tables in the back. It seems to be run by a couple in their 40s. I visited for lunch and had reserved the limited Paella lunch, which is offered to just one group a day. I'm quite weak to the word "limited." (laughs) First, we started with a draft beer and cheers! - **Appetizer platter:** - Homemade ham: Thinly sliced with a light saltiness. Delicious. - Spanish omelet. - Octopus and celery: The potatoes and octopus have a nice texture. Served with homemade mayonnaise and some other sauce. - Plamenshe: A delicious, creamy, cold gratin, with a tasty lettuce dressing. At 12:45, the paella arrived. - **Paella:** I chose the shrimp and clams option. The shrimp were large and plump. The shrimp’s feet and roe were tasty too. It also included mushrooms and scallops. Adding lemon or mayonnaise changes the flavor and makes it a bit refreshing. When you think of paella, you think of the crispy bottom - it's fragrant and delicious. The couple seems to have a lovely conversation, which is heartwarming. It was a cozy place. Thank you for the meal!

To celebrate passing the Wine Expert exam, I made a reservation at a Spanish restaurant. The appetizer selection was extensive, and each dish was intricately prepared. The fried mackerel before the main course was a clever idea, and the meat dish was delicious. To top it all off, I had a second helping of crab paella. It turned out to be a wonderful evening.

I visited on a Sunday, but the restaurant was fully booked that day. There were only two staff members working, a chef and a server, and while there were a few customers, they were taking their time to prepare the dishes carefully. The food was served in a course-like manner. My mother wanted to try paella, so we chose this restaurant. It was advertised as chicken paella, but they informed us that it would be duck paella that day, so we ordered that. The appetizer was bruschetta—so stylish! It featured homemade bread that had been grilled over charcoal, topped with mashed potatoes and chopped black truffle. It was incredibly delicious! - **Carrot Marinade**: I think those who dislike carrots might find this dish tough. It had a simple vinegary flavor with a nice crunch, which made it a perfect palate cleanser. - **Ajillo**: The large, plump shrimp were amazing; the texture of the shrimp shells combined with the saltiness was perfect. The oil was infused with the flavors of seafood, and the homemade focaccia was delightfully chewy, soaking up the oil and utterly delicious! The ajillo was definitely the best dish! - **Beef**: The meat was so tender that it fell apart when I picked it up with my chopsticks! The seasoning mostly highlighted the ingredients themselves, with the aromas of porcini and button mushrooms coming through. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it were incredibly tasty. - **Paella**: I had the option to remove the bones myself or ask the staff to do it, so I chose to have them do it for me! I expected it to be just the right size, but it turned out to be quite filling! The restaurant had a dimly lit ambiance, which created a great atmosphere. Many couples were there on dates. **Ordered Items**: - Today's Ajillo (shrimp that day) - Main course was beef (braised cheek with porcini mushrooms) - Chicken Paella (which was duck meat that day) - Carrot Marinade We only ordered drinks, which were shandy and oolong tea. For two people, the total came to around 9,000 yen.

My first impression was good, but I hadn't been back until recently. It became a "Hyakumeiten" (Top 100 restaurant) and I saw a TV show featuring their delicious Spanish food, so I made a reservation. It was a weekend lunch, and the restaurant was full of reservations, so booking in advance is recommended. The food was excellent in both quality and quantity, and the service was also great. I'm very satisfied. I received a loyalty card with no expiration date, so I plan to visit again.

I had lunch at Bistro Den Den, which has been selected as one of the top 100 Spanish restaurants for 2024. I opted for Lunch Set C featuring the day's special: Aqua Pazza with sea bream. The salad and appetizer plate included house-made ham, Spanish omelette, onion blancmange, and mackerel escabeche. Everything was well-balanced and delicious. The jazz background music, arranged with hit songs, was also very pleasant to listen to. However, what truly amazed me was the main dish, the Aqua Pazza! The broth was incredibly exquisite—so good that I could eat rice with just that broth alone! Of course, I soaked the focaccia in it until not a drop was left. The dish featured clams, scallops, sea bream, broccoli, and okra. The thoughtful selection of these ingredients really showcased the quality of a top restaurant. That said, I noticed something similar to my last visit to another top Spanish restaurant: although there were plenty of empty seats, walk-in customers were turned away without a reservation. It seems to reflect the Latin passion of the restaurant owners! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I was curious about this restaurant because of its high ratings on Tabelog, so I made a reservation to visit. The paella lunch is limited to one group per day and requires advance booking! ◽︎ Appetizer plate: homemade ham, onion blancmange, Spanish omelette, mackerel escabeche ◽︎ Seafood and clam paella: The flavor from the shrimp and clams was outstanding and delicious! ◽︎ Duck paella: A large piece of bone-in duck was served on top, and its flavor combined with the meat juices made it incredibly tasty! The staff kindly cut the duck to make it easier to eat. Both paellas were really delicious, but the duck paella was unique and exceptionally good! Thank you for the meal!

I visited for lunch, and it was really wonderful! The appetizers had a variety and were delicious. For lunch, you can choose from A) beef, B) pork, or C) three types of fish. The music was stylish—maybe a reflection of the owner's taste? There were also a lot of records on display. It seems like there are many regular customers at night. I would love to try going in the evening next time.
