**Overall Review**: Just a short walk from Hon-Atsugi Station (Kanagawa), this taproom is located on the 1st floor of the Hon-Atsugi Millord building. It is directly operated by the local brewery, Sanktgallen, and offers 20 varieties of craft beer. The tap setup with an impressive 20 taps is designed for beer tasting, with courses available to enjoy all varieties as well. Beer lovers will rejoice with this grand offering! The food is also quite excellent, focusing on pairings that go well with beer while being delicious on their own. Given its location and offerings, this place might just be the best.
-----------------------------------------
I came to Hon-Atsugi for work. After quickly finishing my errands, I certainly didn't plan to go home right away. Of course, I intended to go out for a drink! This time, I visited the taproom (beer bar) run by the local brewery Sanktgallen, just a short walk from the station. The shop is located on the first floor of a building right in front of the station. It’s not often you find a taproom in such a prime location. Being locally sourced makes it even more fantastic!
Inside, the decor is stylish in black and white, with 20 taps lined up on the wall. Wow, this is impressive! There are six seats at a stainless steel counter, as well as table and terrace seats. There seem to be about four staff members, and upbeat Latin jazz plays in the background. I arrived just after 5 PM on a weekday, and the place was already quite busy, indicating its popularity given the great location.
The menu features 20 different types of fresh, brewery-direct beer at all times! The food is mainly Western-style, featuring items that go well with beer like prosciutto and pizza. While there was a set allowing you to taste all beers, I decided to limit myself to four types this time. Let’s also keep the snacks light!
- **Beer Tasting Set (4 choices) 1540 yen**: I sampled in the following order: Golden Ale → Weizen → Pale Ale → Brown Porter. Each glass is relatively small. The tasting notes followed a progression: sharpness → fruity notes → a strong push at the back of the throat → bitterness with a hint of sweetness. The descriptions mentioning banana and coffee evoke the craft beer style, making this tasting really enjoyable!
- **Assorted Snacks 803 yen**: A platter featuring German potato salad, cheese, a cheese omelet-like dish, duck pastrami, and a slice of pizza. The potatoes are skin-on and quite delicious. The cheese is creamy with a subtle sweetness, almost dessert-like, which surprisingly complements the beer. The duck feels like ham, seasoned well with salt and pepper. Everything on this plate is perfectly suited for beer!
-----------------------------------------
**In Conclusion**: Being able to enjoy locally crafted beers in such a convenient location right in front of the station is amazing. Hon-Atsugi is a wonderful town! My total bill came to 2343 yen. Thank you for the meal!

I had a regular Apple Cinnamon Ale and a regular Sweet Vanilla Stout. I also ordered the steamed mussels and two types of sausage. Two sausages weren't quite enough; I recommend four! I love the playful selection of fruit beers and stouts here. Lots of people were ordering the beer tasting sets, too. I always stop by when I'm in Honcho, usually just for a quick beer, but next time I want to try the pizza! The manager is super active and clearly passionate about beer – such a positive vibe! He's even kind of handsome, haha!

They have a huge selection of beers, including some made with seasonal fruits. The food takes a little while, but it's delicious. I had the beef stew, and the meat was incredibly tender and the broth was rich and flavorful – absolutely fantastic!

We met up at the Sankt Gallen Taproom in Hon-Atsugi at 2 PM on a weekend – quite the day trip from the city center! Six people were already there and had started drinking when we arrived late. We immediately ordered the four-beer sampler (about 150ml each) from their 20 options – ordering was easy via a smartphone app. The food was mainly pizza, but they had tons of great craft beer snacks. What really stood out was how incredibly fast the beer arrived after ordering. We drank a lot, ending up leaving around 9 PM! It was a fun seven hours with friends. And miraculously, I had no hangover the next day and went to work normally. My liver is amazing (or terrifying!).

In front of the station, there is a very chic and sophisticated shop. I went for a solo lunch drink. I started with a beer tower that offered four types of beer and all-you-can-eat prosciutto. I couldn't help but exclaim, "This is amazing!" I truly felt so happy. When I contacted a friend who had been there before, they instructed me to drink a liter! I was surprised when they showed me the size of the beer mug, but once filled, it was too heavy to lift with one hand and could even cover my face. It was quite substantial! However, the beer was so delicious that I never got tired of it. I ordered the prosciutto four times! I also had pizza, which was very tasty. I'm planning to gather with friends here next time.

Walked in at 5:15 PM on a holiday, no reservation. Luckily, they had space at the counter! The atmosphere was less like a typical beer bar and more like a stylish, minimalist cafe. They had a huge selection of beers, so I ordered a flight of four to sample different flavors. I also ordered some snacks. It's a great spot for craft beer lovers in Hon-Atsugi station. While they do have food, it's not really a place to go for a full meal – it's all about the beer!

This restaurant located in Hon-Atsugi caught my attention after I enjoyed their beer at the Yokohama Oktoberfest, especially the Yokotaka XPA, which I really liked! I visited with my reviewer buddy, Alba, after hearing from a friend that I could drink it in Hon-Atsugi. We made a reservation for a table at noon. Unfortunately, the all-you-can-drink option was not available as it ended the day before, and the all-you-can-eat prosciutto was only available from Monday to Thursday.
We decided to enjoy a set of four different craft beers.
- **Pale Ale**: It has a refreshing taste with some richness, truly a craft beer flavor.
- **Apple Cinnamon Ale**: This one is delicious! The sweetness of the apple combined with the aroma of cinnamon is wonderful.
- **Yokohama XPA**: This is my favorite! It has a deep richness and a nice bitterness.
- **Barley Reiwa Wine El Diablo 2023**: At 10% alcohol, this beer packs a punch and has strong body.
For food, we ordered a White Mushroom Pizza that smelled fantastic and was soft and delicious when freshly baked. We also tried the "Assorted Snacks (730 yen)", which included spicy salami, mini pizzas, and a cheese platter of the day. I’m not a fan of moldy cheese, but luckily it was only hard cheese. The Samso cheese was my favorite.
I decided to get my favorite beer in a regular size as well. In total, we spent about 4000 yen per person. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious pizza and craft beer! Thank you for the meal!

It's been a while since I've had a drink alone with my daughter, and of course, I'm thrilled! When my daughter says, "Being able to drink craft beer to the fullest is the best!" it doesn't matter how much it costs. In reality, with a craft beer all-you-can-drink offer from Sanktgallen featuring 20 different types, I wouldn't say the price is high at all, especially for drinkers like us. We met up and headed to the restaurant, which is located where the old Cozy Corner used to be.
We had a reservation, but the table they showed us was a counter by the window facing the road. For a moment, I felt like I was on display, but I quickly forgot about that. Of course, we went for the all-you-can-drink craft beer and added all-you-can-eat prosciutto as well. As we looked over the menu, we thought about how we wanted pizza too. Should we get the sardines or maybe the liver? Oh, look, there’s Atsugi ham! Grilled cabbage sounds good too, and we started to order one dish after another.
Since we could order from our smartphones, it was easy to keep going. This system is convenient, but it can also lead to ordering too much. The pizza was delicious—crispy and topped generously with sardines. The liver dish had a milder flavor, which is good for anyone, but for liver lovers, it might not be enough. But above all, the beer was fantastic. I don't even remember how many glasses I had; I drank so much! We had a great time, and before we knew it, the last orders were called. We had an amazing experience!

This is a brewery's direct-operated store near Hon-Atsugi Station! You can enjoy beers brewed by the long-standing Sankt Gallen from Kanagawa (the brewery itself is not in Hon-Atsugi, but in Aikō-Ishida). I have been exploring breweries little by little, and I've visited 143 places so far m(_ _)m. Just in time for their 3rd anniversary, there is an all-you-can-drink option available for individuals (until October 31, prices may vary based on your visit) which I decided to take full advantage of (laughs). Since I visited on a weekend, it was 3,400 yen (excluding tax). If you're someone who can drink a bit, you can easily get your money's worth(^○^).
There are 21 types of beer to choose from, all brewed in-house! They even have some aged options in their lineup. It's impressive how they continue to provide such a variety, which is a testament to both the size of their equipment and their corporate efforts. There were some taproom-exclusive items, but the Extra Cold Ale was sold out (it's an IPA chilled to below freezing, which is intriguing). So, I opted for the taproom-exclusive Weizen instead♪ You can choose between a half or full size, making it great for a big drink or for sampling.
The Weizen honestly did not stand out much. Its characteristic banana flavor was subtle, making it easy to drink, but personally, I wished it had a bit more body (though it can pair well with food). The pear Weizen was right up my alley! It had a nice balance, with fruity notes and a bit more strength against the fruit base, which was satisfying(^^). This one is better enjoyed during a little break or paired with dessert.
Next up was the Pale Ale. It had a stronger hop bitterness compared to the malt sweetness, but it was very gentle on the palate. It worked well as a nice intermission between drinks. Then I tried the Shonan Gold, one of Sankt Gallen's flagship products, made with plenty of oranges from Kanagawa. Its juicy taste is refreshing without being overly sweet, making it a versatile choice for various occasions*\(^o^)/*.
I also had the Sweet Vanilla Stout. It’s impressive that they offer four different dark beers in the all-you-can-drink selection. This stout had a light mouthfeel with a gentle vanilla aroma. It's perfect for enjoying after a meal or drizzled over ice cream (dark beer and ice cream are a fantastic match). The YOKOHAMA XPA, one of the lineup's more bitter beers, boasted careful attention to the water used in brewing. The bitterness was pronounced but faded quickly, making it easy to pair with food while enjoying it by itself (^ω^).
The El Diablo 2022, a barley wine brewed during the Beaujolais season, had a rich, almost syrupy mouthfeel that was perfect for finishing off the tasting(^。^). I paired this with edamame aglio e olio and a Margherita pizza. The edamame dish wasn’t as oily as one might expect, making it quite versatile with various foods☆ The Margherita pizza was a perfect size for someone dining alone (but it could also serve as a snack for several people).
I haven't seen places like this in Tokyo's beer bars lately, but I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious beer! I definitely want to visit again☆

I might not have mentioned it... I’m a huge beer fan! Today, I’m at the taproom of Sanktgallen, said to be the pioneer of Japanese craft beer, celebrating their 3rd anniversary with an all-you-can-drink event. I'm enjoying delicious craft beers on a weekday afternoon. For snacks, we have unlimited prosciutto (though the salt content is a bit concerning), nachos with salsa, and mini pizzas topped with dry figs and blue cheese. I couldn't drink all that much, but I truly love beer! Thank you for the treat! The craft beers I had include the Fresh Hop IPA, Brut IPA (taproom exclusive), Extra Cold Ale (taproom exclusive), Yokohama XPA, Ale with Seven Kinds of Peach, and Sweet Vanilla Stout. Hehe, did I drink too much?

I visited a famous beer bar in Hon-Atsugi where you can choose from 20 different types of beer. The pricing is a bit on the higher side, with half-size for 750 yen and regular size for 900 yen, but I decided to order the regular size. The taste was average; it was the typical vibe you'd expect from craft beer, good and bad in line with that image.

We visited a restaurant in the evening on Mountain Day in August without a reservation and found it fully booked. Later arrivals had to drink outside. This time we ordered à la carte: Extra Gold Ale (regular), Golden Ale (regular), Spectrum Hazy IPA (regular), and Bruit IPA (regular). We also had a platter of snacks, Margherita pizza, and tortillas with salsa sauce. We would like to come back again.

I had some time to kill before a meeting, and it was scorching hot, so I decided to grab a drink. This was my second visit. It was fairly busy for a weekday afternoon. Some customers were enjoying beer and snacks at the counter, while others were indulging in a tiered afternoon tea-style set of different beers. I started with ① a peach weissbier. I love weissbier anyway, and the fruit combinations are always delicious. This peach weissbier had a juicy peach aroma but wasn't overly sweet or heavy; it had a clean finish. Right up my alley! I was only planning on one, but it was so good I drank it down quickly and ordered another. ② Then I had a Spectrum Hazy IPA. It was slightly cloudy with a noticeable wheat character. The aroma was fresh citrus, like grapefruit pith. Even though it was an IPA, the wheat gave it a softness, making it a wonderfully balanced beer. Excellent choice! Thank you.

I finally managed to get into this trendy craft beer place near Hon-Atsugi Station, which is usually packed. I stumbled in on my way back from a bar crawl. What surprised me was the variety of craft beers they brew themselves—there are an amazing 20 options! The price range is also friendly for craft beer lovers, truly outstanding.
☑ Extra Cold
The Extra Cold beer is chilled to below freezing. It's perfect for the first drink on a hot day—so refreshing!
☑ Super Shonan Gold
This one is incredible, with a fresh juice-like taste. It has a gentle flavor, and you can really feel the essence of Shonan wafers. Plus, the cute glass made me want to take a picture!
They also had a limited-time all-you-can-drink offer. Once that ends, a new plan with unlimited drinks is apparently starting soon. During early hours, they even had an all-you-can-eat prosciutto special, and their stone-baked pizzas seem to be popular too. This time, I hope to enjoy the meal as well!

The all-you-can-drink option in the afternoon is highly recommended! It’s a great deal on weekdays, and I really appreciate that they offer half-sized drinks. I lost track of how many drinks my niece and I had. The half drinks in the photos aren’t half-finished; they provide them in half sizes upon request. Even though an all-you-can-drink service usually involves a lot of effort, it’s really convenient. I focused mainly on the beer, but the food was quite good too. The pizza had a delicious crust, and the grilled cabbage, seasoned with anchovy and garlic, was perfect for pairing with the beer. It definitely made me think about returning to this place, though the seats they assigned us were a bit high and uncomfortable, which made it a bit hard to relax. My niece, who is shorter, seemed to have trouble sitting comfortably. It seems like part of the menu changes regularly, so I’ll definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

The Hazy IPA was especially delicious. It's a bit pricey, but I've tried various options and they've all been quite good. The food seems to be just right for those who enjoy drinking. It's a bit sad that it's a limited-time offer, but I definitely want to visit this place while I can.

I had been intrigued by the customers enjoying delicious beers at the terrace seats during the day, and I finally managed to visit! They offer a beer tasting experience. There are description cards included, so I was able to learn while savoring the flavors.

I went to a special limited-time party plan that included all-you-can-drink. The glass exchange system was quite strict. If your glass wasn't empty when they brought beer to the table, they would take it away immediately, so be careful. The selection of beers was plentiful, which was quite nice.

During GW, four middle-aged friends from my student days gathered to celebrate a friend's new car and catch up on each other's recent news by taking the Ken-O Expressway to Hon-Atsugi Station. We visited "Sankt Gallen Brewery," a craft beer place right in front of the station. Unfortunately, the inside was fully packed (which was to be expected), but we were fortunate to be seated right away for outdoor drinking and standing.
With one designated driver among us (who would stick to non-alcoholic drinks), we raised our glasses to our first goal: "Let's have fun with beer!" The place is stylish with large glass windows facing the street, but considering the lovely weather, we all felt it was actually better to enjoy our drinks outside. They offer up to 20 varieties of Sankt Gallen beer, from classic options like "Golden Ale" and "Weizen" to unique IPAs and fruit beers. Different sizes, including regular and half portions, are available, and they use various shaped glasses to enhance the experience of each type.
We started with classic snacks like "German Potato Salad" and "Salami," then moved on to pizza, enjoying our drinks thoroughly. The atmosphere was so inviting that what was supposed to be a quick stop turned into over three hours of hanging out. I highly recommend this place.

I casually stopped by this place with my family. They have a large selection of craft beers. There are various snacks available, but the pizza was particularly delicious, likely because they have an oven for making pizzas and they prepare the dough on the spot. The Margherita pizza for 780 yen is quite impressive given its quality. It's a great spot for a quick drink. Thank you for the meal!

@Sanktgallen_Taproom I had three kinds of white grape wheat beer (5.5% ABV) for 825 yen, along with a liver pâté from Atsugi Ham served with crackers for 693 yen. The total was 1,518 yen. This beer seems easy to drink even for those who are not big fans of beer.
