On a certain weekday, I visited a gallery and cafe bookmarked for lunch located at 21-13 Minami 13 Nishi 21, Chuo Ward. The parking lot seemed to accommodate about 4 cars, shared with a coin laundry in front of the store. Inside, the space was open and airy, with gallery exhibits and table seating. Looking at the menu, I noticed that they mainly serve Russian and Ukrainian dishes. I decided to try the Ukrainian dumplings "Varenyky (700 yen)" and the owner's recommendation, "Borscht (680 yen)". The dumplings arrived first, looking different from Japanese or Chinese dumplings. They were soft and chewy, filled with mashed potatoes and what seemed like lamb. The Borscht, a beautiful red soup made with beets, was served with sour cream and herbs. It contained onions, carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, and a hint of pork, with a unique lack of saltiness. The complimentary black bread was thin, slightly hard, and had a tangy and savory flavor. It was an interesting experience, and I even had a chance to learn more about the current situation in Russia from the owner. Overall, it was a delightful meal. Thank you for the hospitality.

The previous restaurant "Lespressione" in Enzan Ura-sando suddenly closed down, and a high-end daifuku shop opened in its place. A kind follower informed me of the move, so I visited the new location. It is a 3-minute walk from Keimei Terminal, on the first floor of an apartment building. The interior is much more spacious than the previous location, with a capacity for about 20 people. The same friendly owner greeted me. I ordered the "French @ 500" coffee, which was freshly brewed and served in a beautiful blue cup. The taste was just as I remembered it - a perfect balance of bitterness and light acidity. The coffee is made from rare Arabica beans that grow naturally in the untouched forests of southwestern Ethiopia. It has a unique sweetness, richness, and depth of flavor. The owner, who is talkative and cheerful, shared interesting stories with me during my visit. I had a great time and will definitely be back. Thank you for the delicious coffee!
