Originally planning to go to another restaurant, I ended up changing my mind after getting off the elevator and noticing the intriguing presence of this place near the door of the initial restaurant. I decided to enter BAR McRay based on internet information, as there were no reviews on Tabelog. The door handle seemed quite old, but upon entering, the interior had a vintage feel. The master was friendly and engaging, striking a good balance in conversation. The atmosphere was moody with dim lighting and flickering candlelight. The bar counter and table seating were both inviting, with a lingering scent of purple smoke throughout the place. I tried various bourbon whiskies mixed with soda, including Jack Daniel's, Old Grand-Dad 80, and Four Roses. Each had its own distinct flavor profile, with Jack Daniel's being robust, Old Grand-Dad 80 smoother, and Four Roses fruity and sweet. Located in Susukino, Sapporo's entertainment district, this bar is on the 3rd floor of a building with a signboard outside the entrance. The atmosphere inside is lively, with a cozy and mellow vibe. The bar has a counter and two spacious sofa seats by the window. The music playing is soulful and relaxing. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. I tried Jack Daniel's, Old Grand-Dad 80, and Four Roses Highball, all of which were enjoyable. The bartender engaged in conversation and created a comfortable atmosphere. The bar is open until 6 am, and I would recommend visiting during the late hours for a more lively experience.
