It's been a while since I last visited, but the relaxed and unique atmosphere remains the same. The "buckwheat soba" comes with toppings like cherry blossom radish sprouts, fried mochi, onsen egg, grated daikon radish, nori, bonito flakes, and green onions. It's a bowl that allows you to enjoy various flavors. The lunch set also includes a complimentary "Nozawa-na maki sushi." To finish off, a warm buckwheat tea for a cozy feeling. After the meal, you might feel like dozing off in this leisurely mood at the soba restaurant.

I wanted to eat Jyuwari soba, so I entered the restaurant a little after 1 pm on Saturday. There was only one seat available, so I was able to sit without waiting. During lunchtime, soba comes with either tamagoyaki or pickled nozawana, and this time I ordered cold tororo soba with pickled nozawana. Of course, I chose the Jyuwari soba (with an additional charge). The soba was delicate and fragrant, and the dashi was also to my liking. The pickled nozawana roll, inspired by Shinshu, was something I don't see often in Kansai, so I enjoyed it. The interior of the restaurant and the dishes were also lovely, so I would like to visit again.

This place was on my must-visit list for a long time, and I finally got to go! It was lunchtime and the restaurant was full. The interior was cozy and small. I ordered a beer while waiting for my soba. Lunchtime beer is the best. I ordered duck soup soba and it came with a set of delicious pickled mustard leaf sushi rolls. The pickled mustard leaf sushi rolls were incredibly tasty! Besides the soba, the side dish was also delicious, which made me very happy. The soba itself was average, but the duck in the dipping sauce was incredibly delicious. The broth was perfectly to my liking. The quality and quantity of the duck were outstanding for the price. The broth was so good that I finished it with soba water. The lady serving us was very polite and lovely. I will definitely visit again! Thank you for the meal!

Visit date and time: 13:20 on a weekday Waiting time: None Menu: Mori Soba 950 yen + Large serving 400 yen + Lunch set 0 yen As it has been hot lately, I felt like eating cold soba. I ordered the Mori Soba with a lunch set of Nozawana Maki Sushi. The soba noodles were thick and had a firm texture. I enjoyed them both with the dipping sauce and on their own. I wanted to try them with salt as well, but unfortunately, there was no salt provided. The Maki Sushi was quite spicy due to the Nozawana, but the sweet shiitake mushrooms and vinegared rice paired well and tasted delicious. Thank you for the meal.

As a born and raised Kansai person, I usually avoid soba noodles, but I couldn't resist on a hot sunny day and ended up coming to this restaurant for zaru soba (they call it mori soba here). Seeking something refreshing, I ordered the grated radish soba (mori) and it turned out to be delicious after a long time. Is it the spicy daikon radish?! The grated radish was served as a firm lump without any excess moisture, with a spicy kick and a hint of bitterness, giving it an adult-like style. It went down smoothly and by the time I finished the noodles, a milky white, thick soba broth was served. It was a complete meal.

The soba noodles were delicious. However, I felt that the amount of dipping sauce was a little lacking and the flavor was not satisfying enough for me. When I asked, they provided additional dipping sauce. The tempura was disappointing as it was not crispy. The staff seemed inexperienced and the operation felt disorganized.

This day was my first time at a soba restaurant. I wanted to try it because one dish at the soba restaurant was delicious. It was a soba restaurant in Shinshu that served soba with red turnip and pickled Nozawana, dashimaki tamago, soba tofu, and famous horse meat dishes like cherry blossom cutlets, as well as unique dishes that can only be found at soba restaurants! Personally, I enjoyed the soba sashimi and soba shochu. For the last dish, I had duck nanban as a finale.

Thank you for the delicious soba made from Azumino-grown buckwheat flour at Syap. I wanted to eat warm soba on this day, so I chose the Minamitakumi Tamago and Shiso Soba lunch set for 1,180 yen. The set includes a choice of Nozawana Maki Sushi, Soba Tofu (tofu with soba seeds), or a small side dish.

I had visited here occasionally, but this is my second time writing about it. Surprisingly, even to myself. Well, the other day I had the walnut sauce soba here. It's rare to find a soba restaurant in Osaka that serves walnut sauce soba. I arrived right at the start of lunchtime, so the restaurant was empty. But by noon, it was full. The soba was smooth and fragrant, really delicious. The walnut sauce was fragrant, with the unique sweetness of nuts mixed in the sauce. It was delicious! The regular Mori soba is also delicious, of course, but I sometimes crave this walnut sauce. During lunchtime, you can choose one item from sushi rolls, sesame tofu, and small dishes. I had the sushi rolls. They had pickled nozawana and shiitake mushrooms, and the sweetness of the walnut sauce was balanced by the vinegar rice and the saltiness of the nozawana. Still delicious soba here! I was satisfied.

At the northern end of Yotsubashi Line Yotsubashi Station, exit the 1A ticket gate and walk north on Yotsubashi-suji for about three minutes. Turn right at the intersection of Shinmachi 1 Minami, then turn left at the first intersection (facing the Hanshin Expressway) and walk a few houses down. It will be on your left hand side, with a solid brown wooden door and a semi-circular window as a landmark. Upon entering the restaurant, you will find six waiting seats at the entrance. Beyond that, there are seating areas on the right side of the aisle and the kitchen on the left side. I arrived right at the opening time, but the place was already full. There was only one person waiting ahead of me. Since it was right after opening, I had to wait for about 40 minutes until the person ahead of me finished their meal. The regular customers seemed to know the drill, as they saw people waiting and decided to leave immediately. Finally, I was seated, following COVID-19 guidelines with one table per group. As I was dining alone, I got to use a four-person table by myself. The menu featured various types of soba noodles such as Juwari soba, Nihachi soba, Walnut dipping sauce, Bokkake, Karashi daikon, Duck soup, Gobo tempura, Kake, Kamaage, and Duck Nanban, among others. During lunchtime, you can choose one small dish from three options including Nozawana sushi. Since the restaurant is known for its Shinshu soba, I ordered the Juwari soba and Nozawana sushi set. The menu included detailed instructions on how to eat the soba, so I followed the steps of eating the soba straight first, then with salt, and finally with the broth. The finely sliced soba had a rich flavor, a good texture, and was enjoyable to eat with different seasonings. The delicious broth made both the soba and the thick dipping sauce taste even better. The menu also included items for dinner, so I asked the staff if I could order from the dinner menu during lunchtime. They confirmed that it was possible, although it might take longer. As the restaurant quickly fills up in the evening as well, I revisited the following week for lunch, where I indulged in dishes such as grilled iwana fish with salt, soba sashimi, and grilled miso. I edited a video of the dishes I had, which cost about the same as five lunch sets. If you're interested, please check it out here: https://youtu.be/eveNs0IGFqU

I prefer soba over udon, and it's hard to find delicious soba restaurants in Kansai. However, recently it seems like more places are popping up. I tried the 80% buckwheat soba instead of the 100% one, and it was smooth and just right. It was delicious. I'm curious about the warm soba too, so I'll try that next time.

A soba izakaya located a few minutes away from Shinsaibashi, Yotsubashi, and Hommachi stations on the Osaka Metro. The interior of the restaurant has seating on the right and a cooking area on the left. I decided to end my solo evening drink with some soba. They offer both 80% and 100% soba, and I ordered the latter in a steamed basket. The soba was drained well, with a firm texture. It was neatly cut, with no uneven edges or offcuts. The taste and aroma of the soba were sufficient. The condiments provided were wasabi and green onions. The dipping sauce was slightly sweet with a hint of spiciness. The soba broth was thick and flavorful. When I tried the soba tofu, I had a feeling that the soba itself might be quite delicious, and it turned out to be true. The menu mentioned that they use freshly ground Shinshu Omachi buckwheat every day. While the buckwheat itself was not outstanding, it maintained a certain standard. The restaurant had a strong Shinshu influence, bringing a taste of Shinshu to Osaka. Overall, the soba at this izakaya was of a high standard.

This is a soba restaurant located north of Yotsuya Station, next to the Hanshin Expressway. During lunchtime, you can get a complimentary serving of either pickled rapeseed sushi, sesame tofu, or today's side dish. You can add these to your meal for an additional 100 yen if you order two items. I had the restaurant's signature bukkake soba for 1250 yen, which comes with fried mochi, hot spring egg, grated daikon, and other toppings. For the lunch service, I chose the pickled rapeseed sushi, which was quite delicious.

I had been curious about the soba restaurant in Shinmachi for a while! I ordered the "bokkake soba" (1070 yen) for lunch, which comes with pickled vegetables sushi rolls, sesame tofu, and a choice of one side dish! I chose the pickled vegetables sushi rolls. The bokkake soba had fried mochi, onsen tamago, grated daikon, and other toppings. It was perfect for a hot day!! It was delicious and I finished it quickly. The pickled vegetables sushi rolls in the set were also delicious and I finished them in no time. Pickled vegetables are so tasty, right? I'm happy it came as a set! The new fiscal year has started, so we decided to hold a small party with my colleagues from the company. Since it's a special occasion, we decided to choose a restaurant a bit away from the area near the office! The organizer selected this place, saying, "Ryonko-san is from Kanto, so I thought soba would be better than udon?" I appreciated their consideration and headed to the restaurant. 1. Exterior, atmosphere, interior of the restaurant: It's about a 12-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station, along the elevated Hanshin Expressway. The area is a bit lonely, farther from the station than expected. Also, the entrance is small and inconspicuous, so we initially passed by the front of the restaurant. The interior is small but bright and clean, giving off a sophisticated soba restaurant vibe. It has a calm atmosphere. 2. About the food: Since we were a small group, we ordered a la carte. "Grilled Miso" - miso grilled on a small scoop until crispy. It has a strong salty taste, perfect for licking while drinking Shinshu sake. The potassium-rich "cucumber" served with it is a nice touch. "Dashimaki Tamago" - a dashi-flavored, not too sweet rolled omelette typical of a soba restaurant. It has a fluffy texture and a good balance. "Bamboo Shoot Tempura" - seasonal item. It has a crisp texture that is pleasing. The slight bitterness adds an adult touch. "Duck Skewers" - slightly chewy but flavorful duck meat. The sweet and juicy fatty part is also delicious. The charred scallions are tasty too. "Soba Sashi" - We were torn between this and soba kaki, but we chose this for easy sharing. When paired with wasabi, the beautifully cut soba enhances the nutty aroma and sweetness. "Assorted Pickles" - Ordered as a palate cleanser. The pickled rapeseed greens are typical of Shinshu. I'm actually happy because I love pickled radish in sweet vinegar. "Juwari Mori Soba" - I was tempted by "Duck Nanban," but this is the way to go! The beautifully cut soba has a slightly darker gray color. You can see stars in some places. The soba is well-drained and fresh, with a good stretch and a robust flavor typical of 100% soba. The dipping sauce was also good. The smooth and well-balanced soy sauce and mirin enhance the sweetness of the soba. Finally, we had a potage-style soba soup to finish. We also had plenty of sake and were full by the end. However, in Osaka, is it not common to drink sake at a soba restaurant? My colleague, a born and raised Osaka native, looked at me in an odd way as I enjoyed "Grilled Miso" and "Soba Sashi" with sake. 3. Staff service: The dining room was managed by one man. Basic aspects such as greetings and guiding to the table were done politely and calmly. The explanation of the dishes was easy to understand, and the drink service was smooth. There were no particular concerns. 4. Cost performance: After enjoying various appetizers, we were able to enjoy fragrant 100% soba. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff's service were pleasant, and we left the restaurant feeling satisfied. I think the cost performance is good. 5. Other observations: I was very curious about the "Duck and Tomato Hot Pot" on the menu. Duck and tomato, a somewhat strange combination but...

Recently, I've been having a lot of udon and ramen for lunch! I wanted to try a soba restaurant for lunch for a change, so I searched on Tabelog and found "Bokkakeya"! I arrived at the restaurant and luckily didn't have to wait long to be seated as there was only one group ahead of us. I ordered the Bokkake soba with the lunch menu's pickled turnip sushi on the side. The Bokkake soba was delicious with the mochi and half-cooked egg adding a nice touch. The pickled turnip sushi was also healthy and tasty! I couldn't have the dashimaki this time, but I definitely want to come back for it in the evening! Thank you for the meal!

I have been here several times during the day, but it was not listed on Tabelog. It's always packed during the day with a waiting line. This time, I ordered the Juwari Soba (100% buckwheat soba) for ¥1020. It comes with a small side dish. I chose the pickled wild vegetables sushi this time, but you can also choose from other options like tofu or a daily side dish. The sauce for the Juwari Soba is a spicy and small amount. The soba can also be enjoyed with salt sprinkled on top, and they even brought coarse salt for that. One of the restaurants I want to visit regularly. I would like to come back for dinner after a long time.

I had some errands nearby and decided to visit a soba restaurant. It was just before 2 pm and there were about 4 groups of customers inside. I wanted to have tempura, so I struggled between the tempura soba options and finally ordered the soba with shrimp and lotus root tempura. The lunch came with a small side dish, and I chose the sesame tofu, which caught my eye. It was delicious with its chewy and bouncy texture! The soba had a refreshing and light taste. The tempura had a perfect combination of the firm texture of the shrimp and the crunchiness of the lotus root, and it was also amazing when dipped in salt. I would love to come back in the warmer weather to try the cold soba with walnut dipping sauce.

Located one street east of Yotsubashi to Yotsubashi-suji in Osaka is a soba restaurant called "Bokkakeya." It has a modest appearance and is currently serving new soba. I ordered the Jūwari Mori Soba, which came with a side dish set. I chose the pickled turnip sushi roll without hesitation. When I sat down, they served me warm soba tea. The sushi roll was delicious with well-balanced seasoned rice. The soba had a silky smooth texture and came with salt on the side, which was a nice touch. The soba broth was rich in flavor and paired perfectly with wasabi. The soba water was thick and had a dessert-like quality. As a side note, the small dish with condiments had the restaurant's logo on it, which was cute.

I walked from Yotsubashi Station on the Osaka Metro. It was my first visit on a weekday night. The restaurant had a casual izakaya-style atmosphere. I had a glass of Aya no Sasuke Junmai sake for 720 yen, which was dry and refreshing. I also ordered roasted ginkgo nuts for 490 yen, served hot with shells on and sprinkled with salt. The nuts had a beautiful green color inside. I tried the grilled miso for 490 yen, which had a unique texture with bits of spices mixed in. It was served with cucumbers and had just the right amount of spiciness. Lastly, I had the Juwari soba for 1020 yen, made with buckwheat from Hachisuka, Shinshu. The aroma of buckwheat was distinct, and the broth was rich with mushrooms from Ina Valley, Shinshu. The soba soup was incredibly flavorful. Overall, it was a delightful experience enjoying delicious Shinshu soba in Osaka. This restaurant is quite popular.
