The owner of "Sushi Coffee" has an interesting background as a former comedian, but his skills as a chef are top-notch. This was my third visit to the increasingly hard-to-reserve restaurant, and I opted for the omakase course priced at 5800 yen (tax included) with a one-drink minimum. The meal included various dishes such as Isaki fish with green vinegar from the Goto Islands, smoked Kinmedai, sashimi with Kesennuma bonito and new onions, salt-grilled Maguro Katsuo, Saba sandwiched between crispy bread and seaweed, Gorgonzola chawanmushi, and a variety of nigiri sushi including squid, Shima Aji, Akami-zuke, Chutoro, Masu trout, Iwashi, Kuruma Ebi, Toro Taku, Uni, Nizakana, and more. The meal ended with a delicious Catalana dessert and a hot latte. I was once again satisfied with the incredible value and great atmosphere of the restaurant. Although I couldn't make a reservation for next month, I will definitely visit again in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I visited this restaurant with a reservation starting at 2:30 pm. The course was until 5:00 pm, including time to relax with coffee after the meal. The restaurant's glassware was Tiffany, and the interior and other dishes were stylish and visually pleasing. The crab and sea urchin at the beginning were well balanced and delicious. The grilled yellowtail was tasty, but the thinness of the meat was a bit of a concern. Personally, I enjoyed the mackerel sandwich. The combination of tartar sauce, finely shredded daikon radish, crispy seaweed, and crunchy bread was excellent and added excitement to the middle of the course. The blue cheese chawanmushi started to feel heavy halfway through, but the person next to me liked it the most, so it may be a matter of taste. The ingredients were fresh and overall good. I will skip the sushi. Considering the price, portion size, and content, I think they are putting in a lot of effort. However, I felt that this might be a restaurant for younger people. It may not be the best choice for a sushi restaurant visit.

I look forward to more than just the sushi and coffee at the Moonlit Night Sushi bar - I also enjoy the limited edition seasonal sake that changes monthly. Today's sake selection includes: - Eikou Fuji Gravity (from Yamagata Prefecture): Unfiltered, undiluted raw sake with no added water - Kokuryu Autumn Release (from Fukui Prefecture): Junmai Ginjo sake made from Yamada Nishiki rice polished to 55% As for the food pairing: - Brand-name Akashi Saury smoked with cherry wood chips - Charcoal-grilled scallop rolls - Katsuo sashimi with grated daikon from Wakayama - Yezo deer roasted with buds of a tree - The usual mackerel sandwich Enjoying the sushi with barley or sweet potato shochu on the rocks while sipping whiskey: - Red king crab - Cutlass fish A total of 10 pieces. As always, delicious sake, delicious food, and sushi. "Thank you for the feast."

I finally got a reservation and went there! The taste overall was delicious, and I could feel the attention to detail in the tableware and the interior of the restaurant. I tried the mackerel sandwich for the first time and it was good with the strong flavor of shiso leaves. Personally, I really enjoyed the swordfish and Spanish mackerel. Instead of ginger, pickles were served. Lastly, I had a blended coffee, which was a new and unique concept not often found in sushi restaurants.

I made a reservation for the 2:30 pm session. The restaurant had a stylish atmosphere, not the typical sushi restaurant look, with Tiffany water glasses and custom Sushi Coffee glasses. The meal started with Isaki and Junnai from the Goto Islands in Nagasaki. The Zuwai crab from Hokkaido was served with yolk vinegar and Tosazu jelly. The Katsuo from Wakayama was seasoned with onion soy sauce to eliminate the fishy smell. The Grilled Managatsuo, Mackerel Sandwich, and Blue Cheese Chawanmushi were all delicious. The sushi selection included Meichi Tai, Hon Maguro, Akami, Chutoro, Biwa Trout, Kuruma Ebi, Hotate, Toro Taku Maki, Uni, and Anago. The service for the Anago sushi was very slow. The dessert was Catalane. Overall, the food was delicious and well thought out, but it may not fit the traditional sushi restaurant experience. Considering the price and quality, the restaurant put in a lot of effort.

Happy 3rd anniversary! The saba sandwich never gets old no matter how many times you eat it. The constant flow of "Randesi~" adds to the atmosphere. Pairing beer with sake, shochu with whiskey, served in beautiful vessels and decanters to complement the dishes. "Thank you for the meal." This reliable time is the only proof given to the two of us now. Counting the sound of rain, please stay just like this, please stay just like this, please don't stop.

"Wazuki no Sushi Coffee" "It's hot, isn't it?" As usual, let's start with beer. Finished in 5 minutes. Enjoy the recommended sake of the day: Tokubetsu Junmai Hiire (produced in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture) with hirame kobujime and Akita jun-sai, and iwashi isobe maki. Try the Kyutouryu shaved ice sake (produced in Echizen-cho, Fukui Prefecture) with brand fish donchicchi aji. Pair it with Atago no Matsu Hitonatsu no Koi Junmai Ginjo (produced in Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture) and enjoy it in a pink glass. Accompany it with isaki no mizore ankake and mackerel sandwich. Enjoy the Sato Kuro Imo on the rocks (produced in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture) with a bowl of steamed crab meat and pickles. For the second half, try Yamazaki 12 year on the rocks with 10 pieces of nigiri, tachiuo hand roll, and kisu. Finish off with Kanehachi on the rocks and Yamaneko on the rocks. Enjoy the sake and sushi. "Thank you for the meal."

It was rare for him to make a suggestion, and when he did, it was about winning a battle for a cancellation slot on Instagram and asking if we could go together. So, I had to go. The restaurant had two sessions: "First Session" from 14:30 to 17:00 and "Second Session" from 18:00 to 20:30. We visited during the first session. We arrived around 14:20 at Nishi-Nagahori Station and were directed to the available seats at the far end of the counter. ----- Taste Impressions ----- First, we ordered drinks, and I was intrigued by the Elderflower Soda, which was the only non-alcoholic option. It had a slightly sweet, muscat-like taste that was refreshing and easy to drink, likely to be enjoyed by many. [Appetizer] "Flounder and Konbu Seaweed" - The roasted sake dressing complemented the dish perfectly and was truly delicious. The roasted sake had a good aroma and wasn't overpowering. [Appetizer] "Minke Whale" - I didn't expect minke whale to be served. It was interesting and tasted somewhat like horse sashimi. [Sashimi] "Katsuo from Wakayama with Onion Soy Sauce" - The flavor was amazing and perfectly suited my taste. I wanted to put it on rice and eat it... haha. [Grilled Dish] "Isaki from Goto Islands with Mizore Sauce" - The gentle flavor and boneless texture made it easy to eat. The flesh was tender and disappeared quickly. [Roll] "Mackerel Sandwich" - I came here mainly to eat sushi, but it was quite amusing to see bread being toasted in front of me. The lightly toasted crispy bread with pickled radish was irresistible. The mackerel didn't have a strong taste, so even those who are not fans of it could enjoy it. It was delicious, and I understood why it was popular. [Chawanmushi] "Blue Cheese Chawanmushi" - I had confirmed my dislikes and allergies before the course started, but I didn't expect blue cheese to be included. It was delicious (luckily, I like blue cheese). Next came the nigiri, and instead of pickled ginger, we were served Japanese-style pickles. They were so delicious that I had three servings. The pickles served as a palate cleanser, and I couldn't resist eating them while waiting for the next dish. They were easy to eat! The guy next to me also had three servings, so I felt relieved that I wasn't the only one indulging. [Nigiri] All the nigiri were so delicious that all I could say was "delicious." Here are some that left an impression: "Squid" - It was tender and delicious, with a good flavor from the salt and vinegar citrus. "Sweet Shrimp" - It was the most delicious shrimp I had ever tasted, and the unique way it was prepared was memorable. "Scallop" - It had a unique texture and taste, which was intriguing but delicious. [Soup] "Miso Soup" - This was the only dish that I found to be ordinary and couldn't differentiate much from others. [Drink] "Iced Cafe Latte" - This was the reason I wanted to come here. I was served a Catalana first, and then the drink was prepared, but the ice started melting while waiting, so I had to eat it first, which was a bit disappointing. The espresso flavor was mild, and the milk was strong in this cafe latte, making it my favorite among all the ones I've had. So, please offer takeaway drinks... I'm serious... haha. ------------------- It was interesting and amusing to see the toaster, espresso machine, and coffee grinder in the restaurant. Both the sushi and coffee were of high quality, and the attentive service, considering the cost performance, explained why it was so difficult to make a reservation here. The uniqueness of serving pickles instead of ginger and the sandwich served on bread made it easy to talk about (it's sushi after all). Other customers quickly finished their drinks and left, so the staff were waiting at the entrance to bid them farewell. It was a bit rushed to finish the drink, but it was worth it to see the staff's dedication.

In June, I went to Sushi Coffee with my daughter. We started with beer and wondered what to drink next. Our first dish was Isaki with basil sauce, followed by duck liver, red snapper paired with a light dry sake from Hinode Brewery in Nagasaki, and salt-grilled bonito paired with sake from Yoshida Brewery in Ishikawa. We also enjoyed mackerel sandwich and chawanmushi. We finished with various sushi and grilled conger eel, accompanied by shochu and whiskey. Finally, we had Catalana and espresso to end the meal. It was a satisfying dining experience.

I was lucky enough to secure a reservation at Sushi Coffee in Osaka, Nishi-Nagahori. I opted for the chef's choice course, and the lineup for the day included isaki, ankimo, bonito with new onion, salt-grilled mana gatsuo, mackerel sandwich, chawanmushi, Japanese-style pickles, kiss of kombu, swordtip squid, marinated red meat, medium fatty tuna, golden eye snapper, shrimp, razor clam, fatty tuna, sea urchin, conger eel, cuttlefish, and coffee after the meal. I was satisfied from start to finish. The sushi rice was quite vinegary, and the portions were generous. Everything was delicious, but my personal favorites were the mackerel sandwich, ankimo, and conger eel. What's amazing about this place is that despite the variety of dishes, the prices are surprisingly affordable. Even after having two soft drinks, the bill was only around 6,500 yen per person. After the meal, I treated myself to a latte, which I rarely drink. It was delicious. I hope to be able to make a reservation here again. Thank you for the wonderful meal! It's so popular that I couldn't get a reservation, but a friend invited me to a sushi coffee shop called "N, Ga, N" that I've been wanting to go to for a long time. The interior of the shop is beautifully designed with an L-shaped counter, seating about 8 people. We went for the evening session starting at 6 pm. The sashimi, blue cheese chawanmushi, and sushi were all delicious! And the best part is the incredible value for money - we had 7 drinks between the two of us and the total bill was under 15,000 yen! The atmosphere created by the head chef and the smiling staff making drinks made it a very pleasant experience. I wanted to make a reservation for next time, but it seems like the only option is to book online every two months, so I'm not sure when I can come back. This is a restaurant I definitely want to visit again! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The sushi and sake selection is excellent, with elegant glasses to match the drinks. Try the Eikofuji Mori no Kuma-san Junmai Daiginjo (from Yamagata) with scallop jelly, or the Tateyama River Mugyo Blue Bottle (from Yamagata) with Wakayama bonito. Pair the Kamo Nishiki Kishuisen Junmai Daiginjo (from Niigata) with golden eye snapper in miso sauce. Take a breather with a firefly squid chawanmushi. The sushi includes 10 pieces, starting with 2 pieces of horse mackerel, followed by 5 pieces of firefly squid and leaf wasabi hand rolls, and finishing with 7 pieces of turban shell. Wrap up with shochu, whiskey, and espresso to satisfy your stomach. "Thank you for the feast."

A wonderful shop where you can enjoy authentic sushi and delicious coffee☺️♫ I used to go there regularly, but it has become so popular that it's hard to make a reservation now, which is tough. By chance, I saw on Instagram that there were openings, so I tried booking and was surprised I got a reservation. When I went after a long time, the staff remembered us and said they were happy to see us, which was the best part. The sushi and dishes were still amazing as always. Ended with a Mochaccino with ice topping‼️ I'll work hard to make a reservation again soon♫

Today, I went to Nishi-Nagahori. I finally got a reservation at a place I've always wanted to try (*´∀`)♪ I arrived at the restaurant at 2:30 PM. The restaurant is about a 5-minute walk from Nishi-Nagahori Station, located in a residential area. The exterior looks nothing like a sushi restaurant, more like a cafe. If it weren't for the words "Sushi Coffee" on the glass door, I might have missed it. Inside, there is only an L-shaped counter with 8 seats. It's convenient that you can make a reservation even if you're dining alone (*´ω`*) The course starts all at once, and you order drinks first. Then, each dish is served one by one in order. Appetizers, sashimi, grilled dishes, mackerel sandwich, chawanmushi, sushi, dessert, and post-meal drinks are included in the 5,800 yen price (*≧∀≦*) The sushi and all the dishes were delicious, and I enjoyed plenty of drinks. I'd like to come back at night next time. I'll have to work hard to make a reservation again. Thank you for the meal. <Omakase Course> 5,800 yen incl. tax ◎One dish: Nore-sore with yolk soy sauce. Nore-sore, which is young conger eel. The texture is chewy and goes well with the yolk soy sauce (*´Д`*) ◎Appetizer: Grilled Japanese horse mackerel. My favorite horse mackerel grilled with straw. The skin has a smoky aroma from the straw, and the flesh is rare and delicious. ◎Sashimi: Katsuo sashimi with new onion soy sauce from Wakayama. Thinly sliced bonito with new onion soy sauce (*´∀`)♪ The umami flavor is concentrated and delicious. ◎Grilled dish: Kinmedai grilled and soaked. Grilled and then soaked in dashi with ao-nori. The grilled and soaked fish is firm and delicious. ◎Roll: Mackerel sandwich. Enjoyed with mackerel-specific sake "Sabadesu" (*´∀`)♪ Thinly toasted bread, lightly grilled mackerel, and rolled with roasted seaweed. It was so delicious that I was ecstatic (*≧∀≦*) ◎Chawanmushi: Chawanmushi with blue cheese! Chawanmushi and blue cheese, unbelievably go well together (*≧∀≦*) ◎Sushi: They were all delicious (*≧∀≦*) The strong shari rice makes the alcohol go down smoothly, and the toppings are carefully prepared. The shrimp sushi is placed sideways with the tail open, a first for me. Also, the hand rolls inserted throughout were delicious as well (*´Д`*) Cherry salmon, firefly squid, medium fatty tuna, striped jack, firefly squid hand roll, shrimp, toragai shellfish, fatty tuna hand roll, Tokushima sea urchin, boiled conger eel ◎Soup ◎Dessert: Catalana. ◎Drink: Coffee is available, but I chose a cafe latte (*´∀`)♪ <Drinks> Prices incl. tax ・ Kakuhai Highball (480 yen) ・ BLACK JACK Tobisho Usumigori Extreme Dry, half cup (price unknown) ・ Mimuro Sugi Special Junmai Extra Dry, half cup (price unknown) ・ Mimuro Sugi Special Junmai Extra Dry, 1 cup (1,080 yen)

Osaka Minamihorie Sushi Coffee-san. Omakase course (5800 yen). This is a regular spot for me, but this time I couldn't make a reservation on my own, so I left it up to fate. The lineup for this price is amazing. I was getting tired of eating sushi with dashi and ponzu, but when I tried it with yolk soy sauce, it was unexpectedly delicious. The firefly squid, bonito, and the classic mackerel sandwich were all incredibly tasty. The yellowtail, bream, and cherry salmon were also delicious. The meal included: Yolk soy sauce, Firefly squid and rapeseed blossoms, First bonito, Yellowtail, Mackerel sandwich, Conger eel chawanmushi, Golden eye snapper, Cherry salmon, Medium fatty tuna marinated, Kelp-cured skipjack tuna, Mackerel, Spot prawn, Braised scallop, Clear soup, Toro taku, Sea urchin mini bowl, Braised conger eel, Catalan cream, and Ice cafe latte.

In April, at Sushi Coffee, K-san and I enjoyed a variety of dishes and drinks. We started with a toast of beer and oolong tea. The menu included dishes like firefly squid and flathead jellied salad, seared golden eye snapper, and raw flatfish from Amakusa. We also had grilled mackerel, sardine sandwich, and various types of sushi. We enjoyed local sake like Special Yell from Chiba and Kamoshiro sake from Niigata. After about an hour, feeling a bit tipsy, we decided to move on to the sushi. We had dishes like red sea bream, Sayori fish, surf clam, mackerel, medium fatty tuna, grilled saury, shrimp, and toro sushi roll. We also enjoyed some drinks like Hanatare sweet potato shochu, Kuro Kirishima sweet potato shochu, and Yamazaki 12-year whiskey. The meal ended with miso soup, sea urchin, eel, and Catalan cream dessert, along with espresso coffee and oolong tea. K-san and the seasoned drinker Oyaji then went to a nearby park to see the cherry blossoms, bidding farewell to the restaurant with a "Thank you for the meal".

This restaurant is currently quite difficult to make a reservation at! The dinner service starts at 6:00 pm with a set course menu only. As always, the food was incredibly delicious! The specialty mackerel sandwich is particularly impressive with its generous portion size, crispy bread, and thick mackerel. For dessert, we had a cream soda to finish off the meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The dishes I enjoyed included white fish with egg yolk soy sauce, firefly squid with rapeseed blossoms, seared bonito, grilled beltfish, mackerel sandwich, chawanmushi, and a variety of sushi like golden snapper, scallop, mackerel, akami, chutoro, kohada, shrimp, fatty tuna, sea urchin, and dessert with cafe latte.

I was able to make a reservation somehow despite the table check. There are 8 counter seats available, and only a course menu priced at 5800 yen. There are two time slots available: 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM. I chose the 2:30 PM slot. Here is a summary of the dishes I enjoyed: - Anago (conger eel) roe mixed with egg over rice, rich and delicious. - Tachiuo (belt fish) salt-grilled from Maizuru, Kyoto, fluffy and tasty. - Shime saba (pickled mackerel) sandwich, crispy bread with a nice balance of mackerel and mayonnaise. - Kani (crab) ankake chawanmushi, hot and creamy, just the right texture. - Pickles with red vinegar, no cucumbers, which I appreciated. - Various nigiri sushi including Sayori (halfbeak), Amaebi (sweet shrimp), Biwamasu (white-spotted char), Chutoro (medium fatty tuna), Kinmedai (golden eye snapper), Kurumaebi (Japanese imperial prawn), Hokkigai (surf clam), Torotaku, Uni (sea urchin), Steamed anago, and more. - Wakame miso soup. - Cafe latte. - Catalana dessert, a favorite that has been upgraded. Overall, I had a delightful dining experience and look forward to returning.
