Today, I went to Nishi-Nagahori. I finally got a reservation at a place I've always wanted to try (*´∀`)♪ I arrived at the restaurant at 2:30 PM. The restaurant is about a 5-minute walk from Nishi-Nagahori Station, located in a residential area. The exterior looks nothing like a sushi restaurant, more like a cafe. If it weren't for the words "Sushi Coffee" on the glass door, I might have missed it. Inside, there is only an L-shaped counter with 8 seats. It's convenient that you can make a reservation even if you're dining alone (*´ω`*) The course starts all at once, and you order drinks first. Then, each dish is served one by one in order. Appetizers, sashimi, grilled dishes, mackerel sandwich, chawanmushi, sushi, dessert, and post-meal drinks are included in the 5,800 yen price (*≧∀≦*) The sushi and all the dishes were delicious, and I enjoyed plenty of drinks. I'd like to come back at night next time. I'll have to work hard to make a reservation again. Thank you for the meal. <Omakase Course> 5,800 yen incl. tax ◎One dish: Nore-sore with yolk soy sauce. Nore-sore, which is young conger eel. The texture is chewy and goes well with the yolk soy sauce (*´Д`*) ◎Appetizer: Grilled Japanese horse mackerel. My favorite horse mackerel grilled with straw. The skin has a smoky aroma from the straw, and the flesh is rare and delicious. ◎Sashimi: Katsuo sashimi with new onion soy sauce from Wakayama. Thinly sliced bonito with new onion soy sauce (*´∀`)♪ The umami flavor is concentrated and delicious. ◎Grilled dish: Kinmedai grilled and soaked. Grilled and then soaked in dashi with ao-nori. The grilled and soaked fish is firm and delicious. ◎Roll: Mackerel sandwich. Enjoyed with mackerel-specific sake "Sabadesu" (*´∀`)♪ Thinly toasted bread, lightly grilled mackerel, and rolled with roasted seaweed. It was so delicious that I was ecstatic (*≧∀≦*) ◎Chawanmushi: Chawanmushi with blue cheese! Chawanmushi and blue cheese, unbelievably go well together (*≧∀≦*) ◎Sushi: They were all delicious (*≧∀≦*) The strong shari rice makes the alcohol go down smoothly, and the toppings are carefully prepared. The shrimp sushi is placed sideways with the tail open, a first for me.
