Visited at 11am on Saturday. There were over 10 groups waiting in line, so we waited for about 30 minutes before entering. The interior of the shop is narrow, but they limit entry to 4 people at a time, which allowed us to take our time choosing. This time, I purchased the following: - An Butter (200 yen) - Pistachio and Cream Cheese Rodèv (360 yen) The An Butter is a French bread sandwich filled with plenty of red bean paste and butter. The hard texture of the French bread, the sweetness of the red bean paste, and the saltiness of the butter matched perfectly and were very delicious. The Rodèv is a popular item recently, so I was curious and bought it. The pistachio flavor in the dough wasn't very strong, but the pistachio cream was rich. The pistachio cream and cream cheese were only in the visible part of the cross-section, and the bottom half was just bread dough. I saw some comments on Instagram saying that there was not enough cream cheese, but personally, I thought the amount was just right. There were many other delicious-looking breads, and the staff were very polite. I realized that this bakery is loved by a wide range of people, young and old. They also mentioned that reservations are possible, so I would like to use their service again in the future!

This is a bakery that always has a line. When I passed by around lunchtime today, there were only 4 people in line so I decided to wait. I entered the shop in about 5 minutes. I bought a pizza for 280 yen, a sandwich for 480 yen, and a quiche for 500 yen. They put them in a cute paper bag for 20 yen and I took them home. They have a lot of deli-style bread that I like, so I will come back again.

Recommended bakery for those who like hard bread! My top recommendation is the Rodèv with blueberry jam and cream cheese. Also, the weekend limited edition rum raisin salt bread looks intriguing! Taniroku Bakery is a great choice for those who enjoy hard bread. The Rodèv comes in two varieties, with a crispy exterior and a chewy, elastic texture. It pairs perfectly with cream cheese, and my favorite is the blueberry jam Rodèv. It has a satisfying weight to it, and one piece is enough to fill you up. The bakery is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth a visit! I still have my eye on other items, so I'll definitely be back. Next time, I'll try the weekend limited edition rum raisin salt bread.

The number of people allowed inside the store is limited, so when it's crowded, you may need to wait in line outside. Judging from the lineup, it seems like they focus more on hard breads. This time, I purchased a few hard breads including hand-kneaded walnut bread. The walnut bread was just baked and I was able to eat it while it was still warm. The subtle butter flavor was good! I would like to try other breads as well.

During the summer vacation period, I visited the store around 10:30 am on a weekday. I thought there would be a long line of fans gathering on the first day of reopening after a long break, but surprisingly, there was no line and I was able to enter the store immediately. Unlike last time when there was only one type of scone available, this time there were four types! I bought two types of scones and the popular croquant. The fermented butter and whole wheat yeast scone for 320 yen was made with Yotsuba butter! The plain flavor really brings out the taste of the butter, making it perfect for scone sandwiches with jam or sour cream. The layers of the scone from Paneena looked very neat even to an amateur like me! The plain scone had a simple taste. Since there was no jam or sour cream, I tried it with butter, which was surprisingly good! The cocoa and macadamia milk chocolate yeast scone for 320 yen had a cocoa dough with plenty of macadamia nuts and milk chocolate. My husband tried this one and didn't like it very much, which was unexpected. I should have tried a bit myself. The croquant for 320 yen was a croissant dough baked crispy with walnuts and caramelized. It's a popular item at Paneena! I tried it right after buying it. Hmm. My husband said it was delicious, but for me, it was just okay. I was hoping for a more crispy texture and more walnuts in it.

The almond danish was really delicious! It's a classic item but I hadn't bought it in a while, so it was my first time trying it. The crispy danish pastry had almonds and walnuts in it, giving it a great texture and flavor. It wasn't too sweet and was light, making it very easy to eat. The quiche had a crunchy crust and the filling was rich and flavorful, making it a satisfying snack. I also want to try other items on the menu. The hojicha lemon scone was consistently delicious, so I won't go into detail. As for the Earl Grey and lemon scone, I was looking forward to it as I love lemon. However, the Earl Grey flavor was quite strong and I could only taste the lemon peel on top. The texture was good, but personally, I found the Earl Grey a bit overpowering.

Visit time: 17:40 on a weekday
Wait time: None
Menu:
- Pistachio and cream cheese loaf: The loaf had pistachios kneaded into the dough, and the cream had just the right amount of sweetness, making it a delicious bread.
- Apple and walnut pavé: A bread where you can enjoy both the texture of apples and walnuts, similar to an apple pie.
- Croissant
Overall, it was a delicious meal.

The weekends are crowded with long lines. Be prepared for it in the summer. By chance, when I passed by on a weekday, there was no waiting so I bought some. Upon entering, there was a good smell of bread. They displayed freshly baked bread right in front of you. I bought various kinds, and they were all delicious. They had a wheaty taste and the perfect amount of salt. This bakery is a winner.

I visited the bakery around 11 am on a regular day. There were three people waiting in line. Unfortunately, they only had one type of scone available, which was a Cardamom Coffee scone for 320 yen. It had a crunchy exterior and a moist interior with a strong cardamom flavor. It was a scone that spice and cardamom lovers would enjoy. I also tried the Pistachio and Cream Cheese Roll for 360 yen, which was heavy and had a lot of filling. The pistachio cream was delicious and complemented the roll perfectly. I also had the Milky Bread for 170 yen, which was a soft French bread filled with homemade milk butter. It had a crispy texture and was very satisfying. Lastly, my friend bought the Baked Corn for 280 yen, which had a nice sweet and salty flavor. Overall, I enjoyed all the bread I tried and would love to go back to try more varieties.

I bought walnut bread, corn bread, pistachio and cream cheese rodent. I ate the corn bread right after buying it, and it was delicious with a nice salty flavor that makes you want to keep eating! I also tried a bread called Milky, which is a French bread with milk butter in the middle, and it was also delicious! Both the bread and cream were sweet and made me happy. The walnut bread is also popular and I can see why! It has a savory taste with plenty of walnuts, and the bread is just the right balance between hard and soft, getting more delicious with each bite. It's addictive! The rodent was microwaved, and it turned out to be softer and easier to chew than I expected. It has plenty of cream cheese, giving a strong sense of indulgence. So tasty!

Hojicha Lemon Scone Sandwich ¥470, Tuna and Avocado Sandwich ¥380, Pistachio Rodev ¥360. The scone sandwich with lemon and hojicha flavors is incredibly delicious! The lemon flavor has been increased from last year, and it was clearly noticeable. The hojicha flavor is strong as well, yet it harmonizes perfectly with the lemon without overpowering each other. It was a very satisfying scone sandwich. The tuna sandwich had a good amount of tuna and avocado, and the bread was fluffy and slightly sweet. The Pistachio Rodev was quite sweet, more suitable for those who like sweet treats. Some may find that the filling doesn't reach all the way to the back, but overall, it was a tasty treat. I want to try the lemon version from the Utsubo store, but I'm hesitant in case I get another disappointment.

At Pane Nana's bread festival during the rainy season, I arrived at 2 pm and there were about 10 people waiting in line. I had reserved the bread I definitely wanted to eat, so I could wait comfortably. I was able to enter the store in about 15 minutes.
I ordered:
- Pate de Campagne Sandwich (480 yen)
- Tuna Avocado Sandwich (380 yen)
- Seagle Tropical (summer limited) (740 yen)
- Seagle Fruits (half) (370 yen)
- Pistachio and Cream Cheese Rodev (360 yen)
- Cheese Focaccia (380 yen)
- Apple and Walnut Pavé (360 yen)
- Fromage Bacon (340 yen)
- Flamkuche with Americaine Sauce (280 yen)
I reserved Seagle Fruits, Seagle Tropical, and Rodev. Seagle Fruits and Seagle Tropical will be ready at 2 pm, so be careful.
It is recommended to reserve the bread you want to eat. If there are additional delicious bread options, it's lucky!
I always want to buy the Pate de Campagne Sandwich if it's available! It's really delicious with authentic pate and a generous portion, so it's a great deal. It's a bread that I want to eat with wine.
I will go back to buy the new Rodev when it comes out. Thank you for the meal!

I've always been curious about Panena-san! I was able to enter without waiting on a rainy day at 15:00 on a weekday~ They have a wide variety of bread which made me excited^^* I bought Focaccia, Cheese Focaccia, Pistachio and Cream Cheese Roll, Blueberry Jam and Cream Cheese Roll, Edamame Bacon Red Cheddar Quiche, Hand-kneaded Walnut Bread, and Curry and Onion Yeast Scone! The breads are large so I cut them and freeze them to enjoy a little at a time♥ Unfortunately, my favorite scone was sold out and only snack scones were left.. They open at 10:00 and sometimes sell out before noon, so I was told that I can call and reserve in advance♩ I haven't tried all of them yet, but my favorite is the Cheese Focaccia! It has a perfect amount of salt and is irresistible for those who love salted bread~ Next time, I want to try going to the Utsubo store^^*

In May 2023, a friend went to the bread battleground of Tanimachi and brought back some bread as a souvenir. They got it from "Taniroku Bakery Panena," which sells adult bread that goes well with alcohol. The items they got were:
- Jako Baguette for 160 yen
- Pan de Mi (1 loaf) for 320 yen
The Jako Baguette, which is full of the delicious flavor of small dried fish, is best enjoyed by slicing it into 3cm thickness and toasting it in an oven toaster. Even though you can't see the small dried fish in the appearance, you can definitely taste their presence in the aroma and flavor. The surface is crispy, while the inside is soft and chewy. It tastes even better when dipped in olive oil. The size of the baguette for this price is quite pleasing.
The "Pan de Mi" is perfect for toasting and spreading orange jam on top or making honey cheese almond toast. I also enjoyed making a hot sandwich with butter-fried Miyazaki sweet corn, ham, and honey. This bread is tastier when toasted than when eaten fresh. Bon appétit!

In May 2023, I visited Taniroku Bakery Panena in the Tani-machi area to buy some morning bread. When I arrived, there was a small line forming outside the shop. The line continued without interruption as more customers arrived. Upon entering the shop, I saw a variety of delicious bread. I bought three items for myself: An Butter for 200 yen, Raisin Salt Bread for 180 yen, and Chestnut, Butter, and White Chocolate for 380 yen. I also bought a few items as souvenirs for my friend. The next morning, I tried them out. They were all delicious, but my favorite was definitely the Raisin Salt Bread. It had a good size and the combination of salt bread and raisins was very tasty. The An Butter was also filled with plenty of red bean paste and butter, giving it a satisfying taste. The Chestnut Rustic Bread had chunks of chestnut inside, which was delicious. There were also many other interesting savory bread options available, so I plan to visit again if I'm in the area. Thank you for the meal!

My favorite is the "Croquant" for 300 yen. It's a croissant with crispy walnuts baked to perfection, giving it a fragrant and crunchy texture with a sweet and delicious taste. The new addition, "Grilled Corn" for 280 yen, is a summer limited item that I want to keep stocked at home. The "Pain de Mie" for 320 yen and "Petit Baguette" for 140 yen both have a gentle sweetness that brings out the flavor of the wheat. The "An Butter" for 200 yen is a must-buy as a starter. I need to be more focused when I go there, or else I end up buying too much unintentionally. Instagram: @masayan.310

I visited the shop on the first day of the 5-day Golden Week holiday, arriving around 12:30. There were already 7-8 groups lined up, but I was able to enter the shop smoothly. The exterior of the shop has a cute and charming feel, with a lot of hard breads. Since I had already eaten lunch, I planned to only buy a few items, but they all looked so delicious that I ended up buying a lot. I tried the Milky Scone, Iberico pork Epis, Chestnut Butter, Cream Cheese Rode, Salt Bread, and Pand Mipan. The breads were all delicious, but my favorite was definitely the Cream Cheese bread, which I will definitely be coming back for next time.

Sakura scone sandwich Matcha scone Sakura and white chocolate scone Matcha scone I thought the matcha flavor would be lighter than it actually was, but it was really delicious! The caramelized almonds added a nice texture, and the bitter chocolate inside gave a great contrast. The scone was crunchy on the outside and crumbly on the inside. I was initially worried about it being hard to eat without any spreads since it's not a sandwich type, but with the chocolate and intense matcha flavor, I enjoyed it just as it was! Sakura and white chocolate scone The sakura flavor had a nice salty touch and was delicious! Just like the matcha scone, the flavor was strong enough that it tasted great even without any spreads. I personally liked the addition of almonds for the texture. It had a nice Japanese flavor with a distinct taste of sakura, and it was super tasty! Sakura scone sandwich review omitted as previously tried.

We lined up to buy some bread. I wanted some deli bread, but there weren't as many options as I thought. The baguette was delicious! I bought a few different types of bread, but overall they were on the harder side. They were tasty and I could taste the cream and craftsmanship, but they weren't exactly to my liking. The bread I bought: cream bread, baguette, butter cream bread, tuna sandwich, sausage bread.

The red bean butter scone sandwich and the caramelized scone (both limited to the day) are so delicious! The scone with red bean butter and nuts is amazing! I had it frozen, but when I reheated it, it became crispy and delicious. Personally, I could do without the white chocolate on top. The nuts added a great texture, I wish they sold the scone alone. The caramelized scone is incredibly tasty! I haven't bought the room temperature type in a while, and it was so crunchy! Maybe it gets moist when refrigerated, but eating it at room temperature at night, the crunchy texture was still there. The chocolate inside, with the nuts as a nice accent, was too delicious. When I froze the leftovers and ate them later, the crunchiness didn't fully return, but the caramelized almonds had a fragrant, crispy flavor when I bit into them. The amount of chocolate was just right, not too overwhelming, and the balance between the caramelized almonds and the chocolate was perfect, both flavors complementing each other without overpowering. The outside was crispy, while the inside was soft and crumbly.

Cherry blossom scone sandwich with red bean paste and black honey milky scone sandwich. The cherry blossom flavor was delicious with a Japanese twist! The cherry blossom paste was sweet but not too overpowering because of the hint of salt. I also liked that the scone itself had pickled cherry blossoms in it. As for the black honey milky scone sandwich, I didn't realize until I tried it that the filling was based on condensed milk, which was too sweet for my taste. However, I think it's just a matter of personal preference, as it seems to be a popular and whimsical scone sandwich. The red bean paste inside the scone was incredibly tasty though! I would love to have the scone on its own with the red bean paste.
