There are only six seats, so you have to make a reservation to eat there. I always go for the chef's choice and eat until I'm full, drinking moderately, and it usually costs around 10,000 yen per person. The master's delicate skills make each piece a work of art, and you are sure to be satisfied. This sushi restaurant is currently my top recommendation.

I visited for the first time ^ ^ It is located in a place where many izakayas are gathered. It is a small shop with only a counter, and it has a cozy and homey atmosphere. The sushi was of high quality and reasonably priced, with 10 pieces for 4,000 yen.

I was looking for sushi in Temma and came across this place that caught my attention, so I made a reservation! Exciting (^_^) The chef seemed quiet but had a kind atmosphere. The young female staff were really fun to talk to and we had a lot of conversations! It was so enjoyable♪ The sushi had a gentle taste without being too heavy, reflecting the chef's personality, and was very soothing. I promised my companion that we would go again, so I will definitely return♪

Visited without a reservation on Saturday at 9:00 PM. When asked if there was availability, the atmosphere became tense as there were only 2 seats left, apparently reserved for customers who didn't show up even after their reservation time had passed. They tried calling to confirm again, but it seemed like no one was answering, so the restaurant eventually gave up and luckily seated us. We opted for the chef's choice sashimi and sushi. ----- Taste Impressions ----- The first sashimi platter arrived without any explanation, which was a bit disappointing as I would have liked to know more about what I was eating. However, all the pieces tasted delicious. Instead of ginger, they served cotton tofu, which was surprising. The chef kept serving us different types of fish like sea bream, cutlassfish, and bonito. Then a fish called "akou" was served, also known as splendid alfonsino, which was chewy and quite tasty. The squid with strawberry jam topping turned out to be squid with salmon roe, a unique combination that was refreshing. The salt and sudachi pairing was familiar, but the less common combinations were interesting and fun to try. Another standout was the razor clam, served with rice at the bottom like a risotto, with a delicious clam broth seeping through. Normally, I would need to add extra dishes to feel satisfied, but this time, the course alone filled me up. The variety of uncommon ingredients and creative twists made the dining experience enjoyable. ------------------- I had a brief conversation with the head chef, who mentioned that we were lucky to get a table since there was no contact from the customers who had a reservation at 8:30 PM, and we happened to arrive at 9:00 PM. It was truly fortunate timing, and even the regular customers mentioned that it's rare to get a table without a reservation. By the time we left, we had somewhat blended in with the atmosphere, so it was a good experience. Some customers who left while we were dining had made reservations for their next visit, so I recommend making a reservation if you're interested. The food was delicious, and I look forward to coming back with a reservation next time. Thank you as always. Bon appétit!

The restaurant is run by a skilled chef and two energetic female staff. It was my first time there, so I ordered the seasonal omakase course for 5500 yen. The meal started with a delicious jellyfish appetizer. The sashimi included flounder, seared belt fish, bonito, octopus, and a separate plate of blowfish. Everything was delicious, especially the seared belt fish. The sushi featured squid, sea bream, turban shell, horse mackerel, conger eel, and in between, a clam soup with shrimp, seared barracuda, and eel wrapped in seaweed. The meal ended with a clam soup with a little rice, making it easy to eat. We also ordered an extra egg. There were many types of sake available, and they served us according to our preferences. We paid a total of 17,000 yen for two people.

I visited Tenma for sushi around 9 pm on a Sunday and was able to get a table for 6 people. The chef has been running the restaurant for a long time and the sushi was cheap, delicious, and served quickly. We were the only customers in the restaurant, so the service was fast. I apologize for not having a photo of anything other than the tuna.

The shop had about 8 seats at the counter. We had a seasonal omakase course. The appetizers included swordfish, hiraaji (flathead fish), silver whiting, squid, red clam, conger eel, shrimp, clam, and egg. I think I captured all of them, but not sure (laughs). I'm so full now. They removed the items I didn't like and put together a great meal for me. Every piece of sushi was delicious, and the chef was very friendly. We ended up staying and chatting after the course, sorry about that. It was a great time with delicious sushi and drinks. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

The restaurant has only 8 counter seats and is operated by the head chef and a friendly young female staff member. It is part of the Nishiya Delicious Foods group, which operates several restaurants in Osaka. Each restaurant in the group has its own unique style and sources ingredients independently. I recently visited Tanomon and ordered the seasonal omakase course for 5,500 yen, along with some drinks, bringing the total bill to 8,200 yen. The dishes included various appetizers and nigiri sushi, all made with high-quality ingredients. The sushi rice was slightly softer than I prefer, but overall, the meal was enjoyable. The restaurant was quiet when I visited, which was a rare and pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience.

I was curious so I visited without making a reservation for seats. The course was around 4000 yen, which was cheap and recommended. You can reserve a course even on the day of your visit. You can also add more dishes. If you have any dislikes, they can be changed for you. It was cheap and delicious.

Sushi and sashimi omakase course for 5,000 yen. I went to Tanomon for my second stop in Tenma. I had made a reservation for 7:30 pm as we had decided to go to a sushi restaurant after the yakiniku place. It was my 3rd or 4th time visiting. I hadn't been during the state of emergency, so it had been over half a year since my last visit. The restaurant has only about 8 seats at the counter, making it cozy and relaxing. We had appetizers like sashimi platter, shrimp, oysters with ponzu sauce, and egg, along with green onion and daikon radish. We mostly drank sweet potato shochu. For sushi, we had conger eel, sea urchin, and fatty tuna. It was a fun time. Thank you for the meal.

I visited this place to try their omakase nigiri sushi. The menu offers omakase sets of 10 pieces for 3500 yen, 6 pieces for 2000 yen, and seasonal omakase sashimi for 5000 yen. A la carte is also available. The omakase course includes recommended items and they are happy to accommodate preferences or dislikes, making the dining experience very enjoyable. I was able to make a same-day reservation for 6:30 pm on a weekday, but the restaurant quickly filled up. It seemed like many of the customers were regulars. We started with a sashimi platter, served individually. For drinks, I had umeshu and sake, with the staff selecting a sake based on my preference for a dry taste. I enjoyed the refreshing and easy-to-drink Mimumuro Sugi sake. The sushi was delicious and disappeared quickly. I still had some sake left after the sushi, so I ordered a dish of swordfish, which was served in two different ways, adding to the enjoyment of the meal. Unfortunately, they didn't have my favorite sea urchin due to the weather, but I look forward to trying it next time. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The intervals between visits to my favorite restaurant are getting longer. It had been 13 months since my last visit. It was a rainy Saturday in Temma. Despite the rain, there was a decent crowd, as usual. This restaurant is a hidden gem. It's not the same as the other popular spots nearby, it's a true hidden gem. I was the only one there at the early opening time, and that's exactly how I like it. I enjoyed a Yamazaki Highball, fresh assorted sushi, octopus, sea urchin, egg, shirako, and chawanmushi.

I don't usually write reviews, but this place was so good that I wanted to share a bit. Each piece of sushi was carefully and thoughtfully prepared, and it was absolutely delicious. And the fact that you can get a 10-piece omakase for only 3500 yen is amazing! The owner was friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable. There was a playful nigiri sushi with natto on top, showing a unique and playful touch. I preferred the simpler nigiri because the ingredients were very delicious. The sashimi was also very tasty. I was happy to have miso soup at the end. Thank you for the meal.

The familiar Tenma series! This time, it's a sushi restaurant that is reasonably priced and delicious called "Sushidokoro Tamon". I wanted to make a reservation at Kaibara, but the earliest time available was 9 o'clock, so I made a reservation here instead. The restaurant was quite small with only 8 seats, and it was already quite crowded with 6 seats filled. The place was run by the master and a part-time staff. We started with an omakase course of 10 pieces, which included various types of sushi such as squid with ink, sea bream, marinated mackerel, grilled scallop, and more. The sushi was delicious, but I felt that it could have been even better with some higher-grade ingredients. I ordered firefly squid as an additional dish. The total bill for two people, with around 5 drinks, came to just over 13,000 yen. Overall, it was not too expensive, but considering the quality, Kaibara might offer better value for money. The restaurant is a good option for when you want to enjoy slightly better sushi.

My junior colleague and I visited this place together. The reason for our visit was as follows: - Since the second place was for wine and meat, we thought it would be nice to have "Japanese sake and Japanese cuisine" for the first place. - Considering the flow towards the second place, we chose a location around Nakazakicho and Temma area. [Location] Located in the chaotic atmosphere of JR Temma. We managed to find our way without getting lost by enlarging Google Maps to the extreme (laughs). [Interior] As soon as you open the door, you will see an L-shaped counter. It has a cozy feeling typical of Temma, but quite cramped. The interior is quite full with 6 people, and it was fully booked even on this day. We were lucky to have made a reservation a week in advance! There were two staff members at the counter, the owner and a young man who seemed to support with service. The owner is small in stature, but has a lovely smile and a gentle atmosphere. We ordered the following: - Appetizer (onsen tamago, greens, shimeji mushrooms) - Sashimi (sea bream, and another dish that I can't recall) - Warm dish of sea bream and scallop - (Nigiri) kohada, cockle, tuna akami zuke We also had 4 different types of sake totaling 4 cups. The appetizer was a refreshing and soothing taste, perfect for healing our tired bodies from walking through the chaos in the scorching heat. It went well with the cloudy sake we had at the beginning. The sashimi was delicious, with a sweet and crunchy texture different from sea bream, and a light and elegant taste. The warm dish of sea bream and scallop had a gentle broth with a fluffy sea bream and scallop, both containing a refined sweetness. We enjoyed it so much that we ended up drinking 2 cups each. The nigiri is ordered one by one. Since we had other plans afterwards, we only ordered 3 of our favorite pieces. The kohada had a pleasant acidity and a nice texture that mixed well with the vinegar. The cockle was slightly watery, but its sweetness spread in the mouth. The tuna akami zuke was prepared by the owner at that moment and had a firm texture with a good balance of acidity from the marinade. The owner was quite busy as he was mostly running the place alone, and since guests order a la carte, timing for additional drinks may require some consideration. However, the owner was always smiling and provided excellent service, making our time there very enjoyable. Although we only stayed for a little over an hour, it was a warm and pleasant experience. I would love to visit again in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal! P.S. I visited "Sushidokoro Tamon" for the first time in the fiercely competitive sushi area of Temma. Luckily, we were able to make a reservation for 2 people at 18:00 on the holiday. The restaurant is located next to the famous takoyaki shop "Hiroko". When we arrived, the cozy restaurant with 8 counter seats was already full, including previous customers. [Food we had] - Appetizer: Ikura and shirasu, moroheiya, mixed mushrooms - Sashimi platter: Thai, tuna, whelk, seared pike conger - Simmered clams: The chewy meat, broth, and rice at the bottom were excellent! - Soft-shelled turtle chawanmushi: The collagen-rich texture was delicious. - Omakase sushi (6 pieces): - Seared squid - Ishidai (striped beakfish) - Medium fatty tuna - Seared scallop - Eel - Shirako (milt) - Gizzard shad - Horse mackerel - Shrimp - Tamago (egg) We enjoyed delicious sushi made by the skilled chef with great care! [Drinks] - Oolong tea x2 The total bill for two people was just over 10,000 yen. Considering the meticulous work, it was a reasonable price and we were satisfied.
