牛丼仮面
On this day, I was able to make a reservation at the popular izakaya restaurant Takeuchi in Ogimachi, so I went there with my partner. When we entered the restaurant, the counter seats were already full, so they prepared a table seat in the middle for us. We started with a Wakayama sake, Kurogyu, cheers! (*^^)o凵凵o(^^*)♪ Now, let's order from the izakaya menu! We ordered: rolled omelette, taikonoko simmered dish, grilled torigai with miso, simmered yamabuki sansho, simmered baigai, potato salad, vegetable tempura, and grilled horse mackerel sushi. We mainly ordered simmered dishes, and they were all amazing with perfect seasoning and cooking. The rolled omelette was incredibly fluffy and juicy, I couldn't help but drink the first one without chewing it haha. It's definitely in the top 3 rolled omelettes I've ever had! The vegetable tempura had a great variety including burdock root, shishito pepper, pumpkin, shiitake mushroom, lotus root, eggplant, sweet potato, onion, bamboo shoot, and more, perfect for vegetable lovers. The grilled horse mackerel sushi was fatty and delicious, with the vinegar rice just right, it was exquisite. After the initial Kurogyu, we had Naga Hisashi and finished with a Kishu citrus highball to cleanse our palates. With all this food and drink, the bill was less than 5000 yen per person, truly amazing value for money. Since I couldn't try the highly recommended mackerel sushi due to the season, I hope to come back for it when mackerel is in season. Thank you for the delicious meal! m(_ _)m
