Located on the 4th floor of Shibuya Sakurastage, Mr. Lee is famous for its hand-wrapped water dumplings! We offer six varieties, including shrimp and genovese. In addition to our signature water dumplings, we also serve hand-wrapped pan-fried dumplings. Enjoy our craft beer and whiskey made in Taiwan, along with a selection of wines from various countries. During lunchtime, we have popular dishes like braised pork rice, various fried rice, ramen, and dessert options like tofu pudding. It's a great place to visit with family, friends, or even solo. We hope you'll stop by! ✨🎉

■Access: 1-minute walk from JR Shibuya Station ■Visit Frequency: First time ■Purpose: Lunch alone ■Overview: This Chinese restaurant is located in the "Shibuya Sakura Stage," a commercial facility in the Sakuraoka area of Shibuya. It features a spacious and open interior where you can enjoy their specialty, water dumplings, along with Taiwanese beer. ■Menu: You can order both course and à la carte meals. Courses start at 3,500 yen, and there are also all-you-can-drink packages available. For lunch, there are rice and noodle dishes priced in the 1,000 yen range. On this visit, I ordered the Lu Rou Fan set (1,300 yen). ■Impressions: Since its opening in July 2024, Shibuya Sakura Stage has become a bustling new commercial facility. The dining area features various trend-setting restaurants, including some with unique concepts. During lunchtime, while exploring the dining area, this restaurant caught my eye with its standout appearance. As I entered right after opening, the interior was relatively empty, allowing me to enjoy my meal in a spacious setting. The Lu Rou Fan I had was generous with finely chopped pork, and its slightly sweet flavor paired well with the rice. The portion size was ample, satisfying even those with a hearty appetite. I noticed that having spices and condiments on the table would keep the meal exciting until the end. I'm curious about the famous dumplings, so I plan to try them on my next visit. Thank you for the meal! ■Visit Rating: 3.22

It was located in a new building, and I was a bit lost on my way there. The inside of the restaurant was very clean. The food was delicious! Since the restaurant's name includes "water dumplings," I was eager to try them, but they were only available as an addition to the main noodle dish during lunch, so I chose the stir-fried noodles with sauce instead (rice dishes came with wontons). I think it would have been better if any menu item allowed you to choose either water dumplings or wontons freely!

I had Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice) for lunch, which cost 1,300 yen. I sat by the window with a nice view, so I was very satisfied! I ordered using a QR code. Besides Lu Rou Fan, they also had Ji Rou Fan (braised chicken rice), meat sauce over fried rice, and wonton noodles. Next time, I plan to try the wonton noodles.

This was my first visit. It was just past noon on a weekday in August, and it seemed not very well-known then, so there weren't many people. However, it has certainly become quite popular, and everywhere was crowded. The stylish and clean interior, along with the friendly staff, raised my expectations. I ordered the Mapo Tofu set meal for 1,280 yen, while my companion chose the meat sauce fried rice for 1,300 yen. Well, the water dumplings were decent, but the Mapo Tofu felt somewhat lacking... It was quite thin, lacking depth of flavor and spiciness, just a vague impression. I tried a bite of my companion's meat sauce fried rice, and I think that was better. However, it also lacked any sear and wasn't hot, so it felt a bit underwhelming overall. Thank you for the meal.

Many people probably don't expect to find exceptionally delicious restaurants in large developments near stations. If the only draw is convenience, then the primary reason to go might be to enjoy a quieter experience. In the past few years, there have been articles and events that raised expectations, but how do people feel about this reality now? The restaurants in these developments tend to cater to the masses with a sense of reliability. Here, for example, it's the classic combination of dumplings and beer.

The thriller movie "Saw X," the tenth installment in the beloved "Saw" series featuring the notorious killer Jigsaw and his deadly games, is set to be released on October 18, 2024. I'm really excited because I love this series! It always comes out around Halloween. Now, today I visited 【Water Dumplings MR. LEE】, located just a three-minute walk from Shibuya Station on the 4th floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage, which opened in July 2024. The restaurant features signature water dumplings and hand-wrapped fried dumplings, along with craft beers and whiskies from Taiwan, as well as a selection of wines from various countries. During lunchtime, they offer popular dishes like Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice), various types of fried rice, ramen, and desserts like Douhua (tofu pudding). I dropped by on a weekday afternoon, thinking today would be a good day to try Sakura Stage. My last visit was to the neighboring Mexican restaurant, so I decided to try this one next. I wonder if it’s Chinese or Taiwanese? I entered and found that there were counter seats, making it comfortable for solo diners. The table by the window also looked nice. I took a seat at the counter and discovered I could ask for a basket for my belongings. I just grabbed one myself. There were a decent number of customers for this time. The staff's service was average; maybe some were new? I noticed that I could also place orders via a QR code, and they offered Wi-Fi and PayPay payment options. Today, I decided to order the 【Meat Sauce Fried Rice Set】 for 1300 yen. It took a little while for it to arrive. It seemed like there was only one person in the kitchen, and I thought it might be a good idea to train others in the front of the house to help out since some were just standing around looking idle. They didn’t mention where the chopsticks and napkins were, which were located under the table, so that could be improved. Anyway, I started eating. The salad was small but fair. There was a small dish of pickled mustard greens, and two water dumplings came with the meal. I wondered if I was supposed to eat them as they were or if there was a sauce, but I decided to try them plain. They were delicious! The dumplings were soft, and the filling inside was tasty. As for the soup, it was a bit thin. I realized it needed some seasoning like soy sauce, chili oil, or vinegar to enhance the flavor to my liking. The main dish, the fried rice, was very simple and somewhat lacking in taste on its own. It turned out to pair perfectly with the meat sauce, which had a bolder flavor and was quite delicious. It was hot and fresh, making me want to take a big bite right away. Oh no, my water was gone... but no one noticed, and I wish they would just keep a pot on the table. I finished it off quickly. Was it worth 1300 yen? It’s within the acceptable range, but I think they could definitely improve the overall operation. If you’re going to call yourself "Mr.," you should show a bit more enthusiasm! I was a bit strict with my judgment here, but the atmosphere was nice, and the place looked clean enough to be useful. By the way, I wonder if there’s any connection to The Bovetts’ debut song "Mr. Lee"? Thank you for the meal! Take care!

It's a pretty good fried rice. It reminds me of the minced meat stir-fry with sauce from Choraku in Shibuya. Eating this kind of dish with sauce after a while really gets you excited, doesn't it? There’s still a lot to explore at Sakura Stage. The lu rou fan looks delicious too.

After noon, people working in the building start coming in, so I think it tends to be relatively less crowded around that time. You can also get a small rice for free with noodle dishes. I thought the noodles would be a bit small, but the bowl was deep and surprisingly held a good amount of noodles. I believe the staff in the dining area are still new, and it looked like the person in the kitchen was having a hard time managing everything alone.

I visited for lunch and ordered the 1,200 yen Lu Rou Fan set. I generally like Taiwanese rice dishes, and I found that this meal was stable, easy to eat, and not overwhelming, for better or worse. The Lu Rou Fan was great, and there are also plenty of rich dishes like stir-fried noodles with sauce, making it a good choice for those wanting to enjoy the experience of dining out. I recommend trying those kinds of dishes as well.

This is a review of a restaurant I visited after going out. While exploring the newly opened Sakura Stage, I found many dining options on the 4th floor. After snacking at a different place, I made my way to this one for my second stop. One of the great things about Sakura Stage is that you can hop from restaurant to restaurant within the same building. Unlike typical department store dining options that tend to be more closed off, this place has a very open and fresh atmosphere that I really liked. I've had my eye on this restaurant for a while because they serve a delicious-looking thickened sauce fried rice, and I've always wanted to try it. The interior has a mix of Japanese, Chinese, and Asian influences. Here’s what I ordered: - Meat Thickened Sauce Fried Rice: 1,280 yen - Sesame Balls: 550 yen The number of dishes and the total price might not seem typical for dinner, but it was completely fine. The meat thickened sauce fried rice I was looking forward to was indeed perfect and delicious. The meat was substantial and satisfying. The fried rice had a distinct flavor, reminiscent of the restaurant's Asian theme, and was not the typical fried rice you find in Japan. The sauce was rich and definitely to my taste. The sesame balls came out incredibly hot, so I couldn’t eat them right away, but they were crispy and filled with sweet paste, which was very tasty. I definitely want to go back!

I wanted to order multiple items including wonton noodles, cilantro water dumplings, spicy chicken, and sesame balls, but unfortunately, many were sold out in the 8 PM time slot, which was disappointing. This place is recommended for a quick drink, but there are no private rooms, so the seating feels a bit close to neighboring tables. The luggage storage area is also quite basic. My expectations were a bit higher, so my rating is lower.

I learned that there is a restaurant area in the Sakuraoka building, located up to the fourth floor. I was drawn in by the display menu featuring ankake yakisoba (stir-fried noodles with a thick sauce). After being kindly guided to the counter with a warning to watch out for the steps, I sat down. They promptly provided a place to store my bag, which was appreciated. I had already decided on the ankake yakisoba, but I took a moment to check the whole menu just in case. I then called over the young man who had shown me to my seat to place my order. It noted that a small rice was free, so I requested that as well. After putting the menu aside, I noticed that orders were taken through a QR code, but they seemed comfortable taking verbal orders too, which was impressive. In the kitchen, there were three women cooking, while the dining area was managed by three men, creating an interesting mix. When the food was ready, a young woman announced, "Order up!" and the young man went to collect it, which was a humorous sight. By the way, the cooking time was a bit long, so if you're planning to visit during your break, it might be something to keep in mind. The ankake yakisoba was cooked until the noodles had a nice char. I poured a generous amount of vinegar over it before eating. The dish came with two water dumplings, but it seems that the restaurant is particularly known for its dumplings. The mini rice portion was much larger than I expected. The salad wasn’t presented very neatly, which was disappointing. Since salad comes with every lunch, it might be a good idea to change the contents and present it better from the start. The total was 1300 yen, which is understandable given it's Shibuya. I'd be completely satisfied if it were priced at 1000 yen. Payment can be made using PayPay.

For lunch that day, I had the Lu Rou Fan set (¥1,200). There were few customers before noon, and it took about 13 minutes from ordering to serving. The Lu Rou Fan came with two wontons, a mini salad, and pickled vegetables. The toppings for the Lu Rou Fan included a flavored egg, bok choy, pickled greens, and thinly shredded green onions. As for the meat, it was tender and flavorful, but personally, I think it could use a bit more punch from the star anise. Also, since the meat is served with its cooking juices, I prefer my rice to be a bit firmer. Additionally, unrelated to the food, I felt that the chair legs were a bit slippery, so please be careful.

This was my first visit. The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of the Sakura Stage. I chose to sit at the counter. I ordered the cilantro dumplings (3 pieces for 450 yen), the famous meat-covered fried noodles (1,200 yen), and a fresh lemon sours (580 yen). The fried noodles were loaded with meat and bamboo shoots. The dumplings had a strong flavor that paired well with the drinks.

Last night I just had dumplings, so today I ordered spicy wontons and Dongpo pork. The dumplings featured on the sign didn’t have any surprising elements, but the Dongpo pork was incredibly juicy with a perfectly balanced flavor that wasn’t too sweet or too spicy. I also asked for some mustard on the side and enjoyed a flavor change by eating it with the spicy oil. Next, I want to try the spare rib noodles.

I was eager to check out the new commercial facility, Shibuya Sakura Stage, and had my eye on a pinchitos (Spanish skewers) restaurant even before moving. However, it was closed on that day... Most of the other restaurants are located on the 4th floor, featuring a stylish food court area with both free seating and reserved restaurant seating. I was drawn in by the photos and ended up trying a different place serving water dumplings. The unique combinations were delicious, and the Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice) was tasty as well, but I felt I could have used a bit more volume or value for the price.

Shibuya has so many delicious-looking restaurants that it’s hard to decide! Oh, there's a water dumpling shop, so I decided to visit. - The spicy water dumplings were tasty, but they only came with three pieces. - The sausage with plenty of white leek had a unique aroma, which might divide opinions. - The shrimp dumplings had a nice, firm shrimp flavor and were delicious. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side and a bit pricey. The staff was very friendly. Thank you for the meal!

There are more and more neo-yatai type commercial facilities, but this one seems like a bad example that will probably be empty soon. The black vinegar sweet and sour pork costs 1200 yen, and there are many other nearby Chinese restaurants that are cheaper and taste much better, so I guess it's aimed at tourists. Even with double frying, it's still too hard.

At MR. LEE on the 4th floor of Shibuya Sakura Stage, the herb dumplings are priced at 480 yen and the fried dumplings at 550 yen. Both have a chewy skin and are generously filled with meat, making them delicious. The sautéed menma and takana is 650 yen, and the signature sauced yakisoba is 1,200 yen, which is quite reasonable. Personally, I'd prefer a bit more vegetables in the yakisoba, but I understand that's just how it's served as a specialty here. It's a perfect spot for a light meal.
