This is a Western-style restaurant located about a 5-minute walk south from JR Sakawadoline and Nankai Koya Line Mikunigaoka Station towards Momozono Station. I visited for lunch for the first time. This is the second branch of "Aji no Mise Ichiban" in Nakamozonocho, which has become a popular restaurant in the area since its opening in 2020. The casual atmosphere inside the restaurant consists of only 4 counter seats and about 30 table seats for 2 and 4 people. I entered before noon anticipating a crowd, but it was already almost full. Lunch mainly consists of set menus with salad, soup, rice, and a mini dessert, such as "Rosukatsu" (100g, 1,050 yen), "Oroshi Rosukatsu" (100g, 1,100 yen), "Hirekatsu" (100g, 1,150 yen/150g, 1,420 yen), "Special Cheese Katsu" (1,450 yen), "Ebi Fry" (3 pieces, 1,450 yen), "Chicken Nanban" (1,300 yen), etc. There are also options like the "Special Dish Assortment" where you can choose two types (1,750 yen) and luxurious tonkatsu where you can choose brand pork. Additionally, rice dishes like "Fluffy Cheese Katsu Omurice" (1,500 yen) and "Katsu Curry Rice" (1,350 yen) with salad, soup, and mini dessert are also available. I decided to order the "Special Dish Assortment" with two types, choosing Rosukatsu and Ebi Fry. The onion soup in a cup was served right away. The cup had a spoon placed on top, which seemed to be for stirring rather than scooping since the spoon was too small. The onions were soft and sweet, with a nice spicy kick from the pepper. It was a delicious soup that raised expectations for the following dishes. After a short wait, the main dishes arrived with rice. The Rosukatsu with demiglace sauce, 2 pieces of Ebi Fry, cabbage salad, tartar sauce, half a mini tomato, and sliced lemon were served. The 100g Rosukatsu was a bit small but had a crispy coating and tender meat. The fat was light and not greasy, making it easy on the stomach. The demiglace sauce was light and paired well with the crispy tonkatsu. The mustard on the side also added a nice touch. The Ebi Fry was large and crispy, with a juicy texture. The tartar sauce was refreshing, and adding lemon made the flavors even better. Lastly, a mini dessert was served, which was salted almond tofu that was light and refreshing, perfect for finishing the meal. By the time I left, there was a waiting list outside. It must have been tough waiting in the sun on a hot day. However, I think it's definitely worth the wait for the delicious food.
