Located in Biei-cho Kitamachi, a quiet residential area, this single-house cafe opened on April 28th this year. The interior of the cafe exudes a sense of warmth with its wooden decor. It has a relaxing atmosphere where you can unwind. The owner, who is originally from Biei, returned from Tokyo to open this cafe. It seems like a couple is running the place, and they are both very friendly. When I visited on a Sunday, there was already one person waiting outside 10 minutes before opening, and two more arrived after me. In total, there were four male customers when the cafe opened, which was a bit unusual for a cafe. Later, female customers also came in. I ordered the "Soy and Ground Meat Chili Tomato (with rice)" for 1,000 yen, followed by the "Carrot Cake" for 450 yen and the "Haskap Soda" (seasonal item) for 600 yen (you get a 100 yen discount on drinks when you order food). The Soy and Ground Meat Chili Tomato arrived in about 10 minutes. It looked like a gratin with plenty of soybeans and ground meat mixed with chili tomato sauce, topped with cheese. The spiciness was mild and easy to eat. The combination of soybeans, chili tomato, ground meat, and cheese was very delicious. The abundance of soybeans was a nice touch. The carrot cake was moist with walnuts and raisins inside. The sweetness was subtle, allowing the natural sweetness of the carrots to shine through. The cream cheese on top enhanced the flavor even more. The Haskap Soda, a seasonal drink, was refreshing with its tart Haskap syrup mixed with soda and mint. It's a perfect summer drink with a Hokkaido touch. It seems like the cafe pays attention to the quality of ingredients, and the taste is quite impressive. Biei is known for its delicious and charming cafes, and this cafe is definitely worth a visit!

I ordered Earl Grey tea and carrot cake. The Earl Grey tea was very refreshing and delicious. The carrot cake was also exquisite. The location is a bit hard to find as it is behind the station, but it is close once you cross the overpass.
