I received a stamp at the Michi-no-Eki "Iwanai" and it was a great timing as they are currently holding a beer garden event! There is a shop here selling mainly churros, shaved ice, tapioca, and the highlight - "Miso Soup with Fall Mushrooms"! This is my favorite so I ordered it right away. It was piping hot with plenty of fall mushrooms, and the aroma and flavor were excellent. The official name for these fall mushrooms is "Hanaitaguchi", which grow at the base of deciduous trees (larch) in autumn. I love eating them in miso soup the most! I didn't expect to find them elsewhere, so I was moved to be able to enjoy it with my friend. I wanted to buy a whole pot to take home! Thank you to the restaurant "Kingdom" for the delicious meal!
