"Diary & Memo & a Little Amateur Review" My wife and I visited our favorite horse meat restaurant, Horsey, for a late dinner. We greeted the second-generation master and the former landlady and sat at the counter. We ordered our drinks: I had two Biwamin juices (price unknown) and my wife had two glasses of red wine (550 yen each). For the meal, we ordered the W course for two (8,500 yen each), which included appetizers, horse meat sashimi, a daily special dish, horse meat fillet steak, Harihari hot pot with Chinese noodles, and cherry blossom natto (900 yen extra). We also received a small serving of cherry blossom yukhoe as a service for my wife's wine. We always leave satisfied whenever we visit this restaurant. As we age, we find ourselves preferring horse meat over beef for its light taste, deliciousness, and high nutritional value. We will continue to be regular customers at this wonderful place. It was a delightful dinner where we could leisurely chat with the master and landlady. Thank you for the delicious meal. 😊🍽️👍"

I visited a long-established horse meat cuisine restaurant in Higashi-Shinsaibashi for the first time. There are three counter seats and three table seats. I sat at the counter and enjoyed the meal while watching the cooking and chatting with the young chef. If it's your first visit, I recommend trying the course menu. The three types of sashimi are so delicious that they make the alcohol go down too easily! The sashimi, crispy hot pot, and mixed rice are particularly delicious.

If you go west from Sakaisuji towards Mitsudera Street, you will find a horse meat specialty shop called "Horse Meat Cuisine Specialist Horse". In Osaka, if you want to eat horse meat reasonably, you might think of places like Champion, but the horse meat at this shop is exceptional. - Yakiniku Set: 5500 yen for one serving (can be ordered for 2 people). Includes belly meat, belly skirt, lean meat, and vegetable set. The belly meat is tastier than beef. Also, the lean meat is lighter than beef and surprisingly doesn't cause stomach discomfort even if you eat a lot. The meat is easy to digest and you might feel hungry again soon, which is quite surprising. The special sauce at the shop is delicious. - Horse sashimi: 3000 yen for one serving. This horse sashimi is as delicious as the fresh horse sashimi I had in Kumamoto. - Horse tongue: Price unknown. This was my first time trying this and it was delicious. - Liver sashimi: 2000 yen. A delicious sashimi that melts in your mouth at the temperature of your mouth. - Horse chashu: Price unknown. It was served as an appetizer and was oily and delicious. For drinks: - Bottled beer: 700 yen - Draft beer: 650 yen - Shochu: 650 yen and up - Sake: 600 yen and up - Wine: 3500 yen and up - Glass of wine: 550 yen - Highball: 600 yen If you drink and eat, it will cost around 13,000 to 15,000 yen per person, but it's definitely worth it. This was the most delicious horse sashimi I had in Osaka.

I usually order the W course with steak and crispy pork, but this time I went with a la carte. Everything from horse sashimi, cow knee, cow tongue, steak, crispy pork is high quality. Also, I highly recommend the raw liver and cherry natto, even though they are not in the photo. After the crispy pork, they serve Chinese noodles, and then you can mix in rice to make a porridge-like dish, which is amazing.

I walked a little from Shinsaibashi. When you enter, there is a counter and towards the back, there are two tables in a semi-private room. It was a smooth dining experience as the drinks were brought promptly. Horse meat is delicious and good for beauty! It contains a lot of vitamins and minerals, such as "Vitamin A" for maintaining beautiful skin, "Vitamin E" for antioxidant effects, and "Linoleic acid" for moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging effects, improving skin barrier function! It is even better than beef as it has less fat, making it suitable for diets! The lean meat, liver sashimi, and horse sashimi are delicious, but the surprise was the mane (cornet) which was light and delicious without feeling fatty! You can enjoy both steak and shabu-shabu at a reasonable price at this wonderful restaurant.

Today is my wife's birthday. She requested the "horse" course. I made a reservation and we went fully prepared. I remember my birthday was also horse-themed. We ordered the usual W course for two. Our family doesn't eat much. To start, we had saiboshi, which was delicious and a great appetizer. The assorted sashimi and the separately ordered raw liver were excellent!! My daughter loves the horse mane (tatégami). It's delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor! The hot pot (hari hari) had tasty meat, and the broth made with horse fat was outstanding. The noodles at the end were also delicious because of the broth! The separately ordered mixed rice. This was actually my favorite! After eating a little, I poured the broth from the hot pot on it... it was unbelievably delicious!! My wife was very satisfied and in a great mood. All's well that ends well.

I have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. I have never had horse meat as delicious as here in Osaka. Even though I often visit Kumamoto, the home of horse meat, I don't need to go there because Horse is more than enough. It's much tastier than the mediocre chain restaurants in Kumamoto. Personally, I highly recommend trying the W set (horse meat steak and spicy hot pot). Also, although it's a separate menu item, the raw liver and cherry yukhoe are a must-try.

Today, I had a little get-together with a reviewer I hadn't seen in a long time. It wasn't a big gathering like before, but a small one. We met at a somewhat cluttered area in the East Shinsaibashi area. There were Chinese restaurants around, and it seemed like Japanese wouldn't be understood. We finally found the restaurant after looking around a bit. Inside, there was a counter in the front and table seats in the back, including private rooms. It seemed like there was also a second floor, with a decent capacity. We had the 5720 yen course (excluding drinks). We had: - Smoked horse meat - Vinegared offal - Oden-style small dish - Assorted sashimi (chicken, tuna, heart) - Crispy cherry blossom hot pot (finishing with Chinese soba) We also had highballs, a bottle of red wine, totaling around 8500 yen per person. The "smoked horse meat" was a first for me, and it had a nice smoky flavor and moist texture. It was delicious! The vinegared offal had a crunchy texture similar to cartilage, with a refined seasoning. It was also my first time trying it, and it was tasty. Next was the sashimi. The chicken sashimi was thick and had a clean fattiness. It was delicious. The tender tuna had a delicate sweetness and was very tender. The heart sashimi, which I don't have much experience with, was surprisingly mild with a delicate texture. The main dish was the crispy cherry blossom hot pot, with vibrant horse meat and plenty of greens. It had the tenderness and sweetness of pork, the meatiness of beef, and a lightness when eaten. The crunchy greens alternated with the meat, creating a delightful experience. The light and elegant broth complemented the dish well. We finished with Chinese soba, which had thin noodles without any powdery feeling. The smooth and slurp-worthy noodles disappeared quickly, and before we knew it, we were all digging in. It was a delightful and delicious experience with lots of horse meat. Thank you for the feast! Last year's year-end party... and what they call an "offline meeting" was used. Thanks to Corona, it's a forgotten term lol. The usual horse meat shabu-shabu restaurant was full, so we visited a famous horse meat cuisine restaurant nearby. Right from the start, there was a parade of menu items that go well with good sake. I love dried horse meat, it's so good! The restaurant seems to have a craftsman-like quality, so the presentation may not be fancy, but I think the quality of the horse meat is quite high. The shabu-shabu goes well with the crispiness of the watercress. It's light and easy to eat. I even finished the noodles at the end! And I drank quite a lot lol. Thank you for the feast!

Today is my birthday!!! I came to "Horse" for the first time in a while. My family is also a fan of this restaurant. We ordered the W course and waited. I only drink alcohol on weekends, so the ice-cold draft beer tastes amazing!! Starting with small dishes and a sashimi platter, it's a flow that I love. The beer goes down so smoothly!! We also ordered the "raw liver" separately and tried it! "So delicious!!" The horse meat is really good and very tasty!! After enjoying the steak & crunchy hot pot, we had Chinese noodles as the finishing touch. It was also delicious. Even on this hot birthday, enjoying the best horse meat dishes with cold beer in a restaurant with good air conditioning!! It was a great birthday.

Met up with friends in Minami after a long time! We went to a recommended horse meat restaurant called "Horse". We had the Sakura Yukke and Sakura Nabe course. The horse sashimi and yukke were delicious, perfect for Japanese raw meat lovers! The saiboshi was sweet and it was my first time trying it. It paired well with alcohol. The Sakura Hari Hari Nabe had a gentle broth. Lastly, we ordered cooked rice to finish off the meal. We used the leftover broth to make a light and tasty ochazuke-style dish. I definitely want to go back again.

I went to a horse meat specialty store called "Horse" and had a delicious horse sashimi. I ate a lot and it was very fresh, as you can see in the photos I will post later. The steak and the spicy hot pot were also amazing. Especially the broth of the hot pot was really great. Low in calories and high in protein, horse meat is great for dieting and nutrition. I would like to visit again.

There is a famous horse meat restaurant in Osaka called "Horse". I have been there a few times, and to be honest, it is tastier than eating horse meat in Kumamoto! First of all, their sashimi platter is excellent, especially the mane sashimi which is outstanding. They are said to have started the unique way of serving it frozen. The Harihari hot pot broth is incredibly delicious too! You can keep drinking it forever. I also bought some dried horse meat as a souvenir, and it was moist, juicy, and goes perfectly with sake. It was a delightful experience after a long time. Thank you for the delicious meal!

My favorite horse meat restaurant. I always go there for business entertainment, with colleagues and business associates. My wife has been wanting to go there for a while now, as she has never tried horse meat before. I thought it would be a good time to take my daughter there too, so I made an early reservation and went. We ordered the usual W course (steak and spicy hot pot), as well as raw liver and horse-cooked rice separately. First, we had the horse sashimi. It was delicious as always. The three types of sashimi and raw liver were so mouth-watering. My wife said, "Delicious~" and my daughter said, "Yummy~" Next, we tried the horse daikon dish, which was also very tasty. We continued at this pace, devouring the steak and spicy hot pot. We even managed to finish the Chinese noodles for dessert. And then, the horse-cooked rice! "I really love this," my wife exclaimed. To finish off, we poured the spicy broth over the rice. "I'm so full from all the delicious food," they said. My wife and daughter, who usually don't eat that much, surprised me with how much they ate. It was amazing.

A friend took me to this restaurant. It seemed to be an omakase course. We had sashimi, liver, steak, and hot pot, allowing us to try various ways of eating. Everything was delicious. The dishes were prepared with care. We also enjoyed some drinks, starting with beer and then relaxing with highballs. When it came time to pay, I thought it would be around a little over 10,000 yen per person, but it ended up being just over 10,000 yen. I was surprised because I had never paid over 10,000 yen at a horse meat restaurant before, but since the food was delicious, I'm satisfied.
