Today, I decided to come to this restaurant to have curry with naan, which I haven't had in a while. It was just before 11:30 am and the place wasn't too crowded. There were about 4 customers already seated. I chose the chicken curry set from the lunch menu, which costs ¥900 including tax. I opted for medium spiciness level (3). You can only get one refill of naan. The server was a Japanese lady, while I think the kitchen staff might be from India or Pakistan. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes after ordering. The presentation was okay, but the naan wasn't piping hot. The curry had a daily special curry and chicken curry on the plate. The daily special curry was quite watery and lacked flavor. The chicken curry, on the other hand, was thick and flavorful with lots of chicken pieces. The spiciness level was milder than expected. I enjoyed the meal and ordered an extra serving of naan, which came out hot and fresh. I took a coffee break before finishing up and left feeling satisfied but sweaty from the bike ride home.

My son suddenly said, "I want to eat naan!" even though he always makes a face when I suggest going out for naan and curry... Children's tastes and what they couldn't eat change constantly, making it difficult... Is it just my child? Since our usual restaurant is far away, we decided to go somewhere nearby, and settled on this place. Next to it was a ramen shop, oh! It's quite crowded. The restaurant had a nice Indian-style decoration and the curry smelled delicious. We looked at the menu and hesitated... these curry restaurants have a wide variety of options, making it quite difficult to choose... My wife and son quickly decided on chicken and butter chicken, but I was still undecided... I was urged to make a decision quickly (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾ I'll go with the pork! The dishes arrived fairly quickly, and of course the naan was freshly baked. I took a bite of the curry... it was hot! This was quite hot! The unique bowls seemed to keep the food warm for a long time. Sometimes there are places that serve lukewarm food, so I was a bit surprised. The naan was not the chewy type, but had a crispy texture, and of course, I had a second serving. My son's chicken was not spicy at all, so it was safe for children to eat. My wife chose level 2 spiciness, and I went for level 3, both had a nice level of heat. The chicken was tender, while the pork was more firm. The curry was piping hot, so it remained warm and delicious until the end. As we were leaving, the person cooking in the kitchen came out to say "Thank you" with a smile, so I said, "It was delicious, thank you for the meal," and they seemed happy and bid us farewell with another smile. It was a very pleasant and satisfying dinner for both our stomachs and hearts. Thank you for the meal.

I had Chicken Spinach Curry No. 19. From No. 20 onwards, it costs an extra 100 yen. It was just the right level of spiciness for me. It's a delicious dish that I crave occasionally. The price of lamb seemed to have gone up, but the lunch here was fine. Even with a lassi, it only cost 1060 yen! Thank you for the meal! (*^▽^*)

It was early but there were a decent number of customers. It seems to be popular. The menu is extensive and it's hard to decide. I went with the Chicken Keema Palak set. I chose the spiciness level up to 10 for free. It was flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The side dishes were also delicious! I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but considering the set contents, it's understandable. It would be nice if they had more affordable and lighter set options. Thank you for the meal!

Chicken curry set for 1400 yen. I think I ordered something like shrimp chili (recommended by a friend). I came to this restaurant based on my friend's recommendation for a place to eat naan curry at night. The chicken curry came with another curry that changes daily, and this time it was eggplant curry. The shrimp chili my friend recommended wasn't as spicy as it looked. The shrimp was big and juicy. However, it wasn't really like shrimp chili, as the spices were different (which makes sense since it has a different name). Personally, it wasn't really to my liking. The set also came with naan and rice, and it was really filling. There were also some side dishes like potatoes. I prefer naan that is crispy rather than bread-like, and this one was to my liking. The smell of curry inside the restaurant is strong, so be careful as it won't come off your clothes until you wash them! The curry was delicious and easy to eat. Even at night, the cost performance was not bad, and I had a good time. Thank you for the meal!

[Completely Non-Smoking] Mohandish, a popular Nepalese and Indian curry restaurant in the Yon Area near Subway Kita 24-jo Station, has opened a branch in Nishi-machi, Nishi-ku, Sapporo. For the branch, it is located about 2-300 meters towards Otaru along Route 124 (old National Route 5) after crossing the Hassamu River. It is a little less than a 10-minute walk from Hassamu Minami Station on the Tozai Line. On March 5, 2022, at 12:30, I revisited the restaurant with a strong curiosity to try their spicy food. The place had one group of customers when I arrived, and six more came in later. I ordered the Lamb Soup Curry for 1100 yen with a spiciness level of 100 (the maximum at the restaurant). I also got a side of rice for 220 yen and a drink called Pingo for 470 yen. Pingo turned out to be a mix of beer and mango juice served in a stylish glass, which was surprisingly delicious. The combination of beer's bitterness and mango juice's acidity complemented each other well and matched the spiciness of the food. The soup curry was served quite quickly and was more pureed than I expected, similar to what you might find at a Nepalese curry restaurant. The soup base was chicken-based with added spice from powdered chili and chili paste. Occasionally, I could taste coriander seeds, which added a nice touch. The dish also included sliced ginger and chunks of ginger, which I mistook for potatoes at first. Additionally, there was a whole boiled egg and radish slices, which gave a warm feeling to the body. Despite ordering the maximum spiciness level of 100, I found it to be extremely spicy, but not as intense as expected. This could be because I am used to the spiciness of the chili paste I use at home, making the restaurant's version seem milder in comparison. Overall, I enjoyed the dish and thought it would pair well with rice or even cheese naan. I look forward to returning to try it for dinner as well.

On a certain holiday, I visited an Indian curry restaurant in Nishi-machi, Nishi-ku for lunch. The parking lot in front of the restaurant can fit about one car. The interior of the restaurant is spacious with a counter and table seats, and the decorations are tastefully done, unlike some other restaurants. As a COVID-19 precaution, there are acrylic panels and vinyl sheets hanging from the ceiling, and the air conditioner and ventilation fan are working hard. Local pop music is playing in the background. Unfortunately, there was no lunch menu on holidays, so I chose from the original menu. I ordered the "Chicken Keema Spinach (1050 yen)" with a spice level of "3" and opted for the "Garlic Naan (450 yen)" instead of the plain one. As I was about to take the first bite, I noticed that the customer behind me had ordered the "daily special," but I confirmed that it was not available. The curry looked rich and dark, and the spinach was still visible, giving it a convincing texture. The Keema was flavorful and not overly oily or salty, making it enjoyable to eat on its own. The spice level "3" was mild, so I might try "4" next time. The curry contained minced chicken, finely chopped garlic, and crunchy ginger, along with boiled eggs. The Garlic Naan had a strong garlic flavor and a crispy texture, complemented by a perfect amount of butter. It could be enjoyed even without curry and would pair well with beer. Overall, I was impressed by the quality of the curry and naan. Personally, I prefer lunch sets with unlimited naan for around 1000 yen. Thank you for the meal.

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is no medication that suits my rare disease yet. I was hospitalized for rare disease treatment again in April-May, following last September and January this year. Your supportive comments were a source of energy for me during my hospital stay. I sincerely appreciate it. I was discharged in early May, but the tests in late May were not good, and the doctor mentioned the possibility of hospitalization. The tests in June led to further examinations in July. It seems likely that I will be hospitalized in July if the condition worsens, but it will be after two weeks following the second dose of the COVID vaccine. The doctor instructed me to confirm the vaccination schedule with Sapporo City, but they mentioned that people aged 65 to 74 would be completed by the end of February next year, slightly shorter than previously planned. People under 64 with underlying conditions are prioritized, and vaccination vouchers are being sent to those with underlying conditions from July. Prime Minister Suga stated that people aged 65 and over would be completed by July this year, but both the first and second dose vaccination rates in Hokkaido are the lowest in the country. As a result, the number of deaths in Hokkaido accounts for 30-40% of the national daily death toll, more than Tokyo. Despite this, Sapporo will host events like the Olympic marathon. While Tokyo's vaccination for younger people is progressing, Sapporo's vaccination for the elderly is lagging. What could be the cause of this disparity? Thank you for your continued support. [July 2021] "Mohandish Nishimachi Store" is a restaurant that serves affordable Indian curry and Indian cuisine. The kitchen staff includes several people from the home country. There are about four affiliated stores in the city. This "Nishimachi Store" opened in September 2020 while I was hospitalized. I finally visited with my usual companion. The store is located in the Nishi-machi area of Sapporo City, along Kita 5-jo and Teine-dori. Please check the exact location of the restaurant on Tabelog. I visited around 1 pm on a weekday. The store has counter seats and table seats. There were four customers in front and five customers behind. I sat at a table. At the entrance of the store, there were two types of "daily curry" displayed. There are various sets for lunch. The most affordable "lunch curry set" offers seven types of curry. You can choose from bread or naan. From the lunch menu, I chose the "daily curry lunch," probably with "chicken." I selected the "B set" with a spiciness level of "4 spicy" and a set of "naan and salad." My usual companion, instead of the usual "mixed vegetables," chose the same as me. (laughs) After a 6-minute wait, the two "curry sets" arrived. ■ Daily lunch curry B set Chicken curry The level of spiciness of 4 spicy is easy to eat with a moderate spiciness, making it a curry that is easy for everyone. The curry sauce is quite generous, providing a satisfying meal. It is topped with chopped ginger and dried parsley. The ingredients include shimeji mushrooms, bell peppers, and plenty of vegetables. B set Naan The jumbo naan is freshly baked, crispy on the outside and slightly chewy. Salad A salad commonly found in lunch sets, with shredded cucumber, cabbage, carrots, and komatsuna. Price: 850 yen (tax included) This is a curry that is easy to eat for everyone, with plenty of sauce and a large, hot naan. It is reasonably priced and easy to use, but it is an authentic Indian curry. On the way out, I spoke to the kitchen staff at the back door, saying, "It was delicious," to which they replied with a smile, "Thank you." I would like to visit during lunchtime again. It was delicious, thank you for the meal.

It's summer, which makes you crave curry! So today, I went to this restaurant. - Spicy Lamb Masala 1200 yen The lamb was tender and not gamey. It mixed well with the curry sauce and was really delicious! However, the rice was a bit of a problem as it was too dry and hard. I think dry and hard rice doesn't go well with curry sauce. - Chicken Tikka 500 yen Chicken thigh meat marinated with tandoori seasoning. The tandoori flavor had just the right amount of spiciness! It was delicious. One thing to note is that some parts were slightly burnt, and the meat was a bit too tough and dry. Overall, it was still tasty. I think it's great that you can enjoy lamb without the strong gamey taste. I recommend you try it too!

A TV show featuring Indian curry sparked a craving for curry, so I decided to visit this restaurant. The place was packed with customers, and they only offer lunch menus during weekdays. I chose the Lamb Curry daily special set, while my companion ordered the Butter Prawn. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was filled with Indian music, creating a foreign ambiance. It took some time to get used to the strong spice smell in the air. The curry was delicious, and I enjoyed the unique taste of the lamb in the curry. The naan bread had a sweet flavor that whetted my appetite and was also very tasty. I look forward to trying their Biryani next time. When I got home, my coat had absorbed the spice smell, and the entire office was filled with the scent, which was quite challenging. I learned that it's better to leave the coat in the car next time.

I was a lunch refugee on Sunday, December 20, 2020. Everywhere I went, the parking lots were full and the roads were congested. Finally, I arrived at this restaurant along the old Route 5. I usually go for soup curry, but this time I tried their Indian curry. I ordered the Butter Prawn and Plain Naan. The Butter Naan had a sweet buttery flavor and was delicious. The Naan was freshly baked and also very tasty. It seems like regular customers sometimes ask for their Naan to be slightly burnt, and they even get a second serving. It's nice that you can make such requests.

A curry restaurant opened along the old Route 5 in the Nishi-machi area of the Nishi Ward. It is a branch of an Indian curry restaurant chain that has stores in Sapporo such as Kita 24-jo and Kotoni. The restaurant is located in the same building as the ramen shop "Toguchi," with parking spaces around the building. The interior is decorated with a distinct Indian theme, with counter seats and table seating available. The menu offers a variety of Indian curries as well as soup curry, making it difficult to choose. I ordered the Spicy Lamb Masala (1,200 yen) and Cheese Naan (590 yen), while my wife ordered the Butter Chicken (900 yen) and Plain Naan (290 yen). You can choose the level of spiciness from a scale of 1 to 100 (additional charge for over 20), and we chose level 4 (spicy). The dishes were ready in about 10 minutes. The staff were Japanese, but the chef in the kitchen was from India, ensuring authentic flavors. Both curries had a perfect balance of meat flavor and spices, and were delicious. Even at level 4 spiciness, it was quite hot, so those who are not fond of spicy food should go for a milder option. The regular naan was tasty, but the Cheese Naan with melted cheese inside was a delight for cheese lovers. The spiciness of the curry made it taste milder, and although the prices are a bit high, it is worth it for those looking for delicious Indian curry.

"Completely smoke-free? Mohandish, a popular Nepalese and Indian curry restaurant in the Yon area (near Subway Kitajuni Station in a bustling district), opened a branch in Nishi-machi, Nishi-ku, Sapporo. For this branch, located about 2-300 meters towards Otaru along Route 124 (former National Route 5) after crossing the Hassamu River. On October 21, 2020, at 12:30, I visited by bicycle since I don't usually go in this direction, so I'm exploring the shops in Nishi-ku and Teine-ku while my JR pass is still valid. Based on information from a fellow reviewer, I found this curry shop around here starting from Hassamu Chuo Station. It's great to see more reviewers, but sometimes it's overwhelming to process all the information in my head. I had a few options in mind and arrived at the shop by JR to Hassamu Chuo Station. I could easily tell where the shop was without a map, and as I walked past other shops, memories of the past came flooding back. Upon arrival, there were already two customers, so I was seated at the counter as a solo customer. The table seats were empty, but the counter seats were full. Later, groups of 2-4 people arrived, and the table seats filled up too. I ordered the lamb curry from the lunch menu with the spiciness level set to the shop's maximum, 100th level, for an additional 200 yen. It tasted like a combination of the old Royal India and the new Mohandish, with a hint of the old Mohandish flavor that I used to enjoy. The sliced refreshing ginger flavor followed by a sudden rush of chili flavor was delightful. The chili heat gradually built up, and at level 100, it was quite spicy for me. The naan had a light flavor, but I remember Mohandish's naan being more fluffy. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, even though I didn't eat much. Thank you for the meal."

It's the third day of the 20% off opening service at the newly opened Mohandish Nishimachi store, which is located at the former Felieeds bakery shop. The large sign outside seems to be attracting a lot of customers. The interior of the store has an oriental atmosphere with a unique incense-like scent. Even after leaving the store, the scent lingered, making me feel like I was in an Indian curry restaurant. I arrived just before lunchtime and was able to find a seat easily before the lunch rush. As lunchtime approached, more customers started to arrive, and there were also some waiting for takeout orders. I had been curious about this new store ever since the opening date was announced, and I finally had the chance to visit. I didn't recognize any food reviewers I knew, but there were probably some present. It seemed like many of the customers were active on social media. I wanted to try the soup curry, but I ended up ordering the Mixed Vegetable B Nan Set from the lunch menu. The spiciness level was free, and even though the place was busy, the dishes were prepared relatively quickly. The hot Mixed Vegetable Curry was delicious, especially the potatoes, and the other ingredients were cooked perfectly. The balance of spiciness and flavor was well-maintained. The fragrant Nan had a buttery flavor that enhanced its taste. It was soft and slightly sweet, perfect for dipping in the curry or eating on its own. The mini salad had a vinegar-like dressing with a hint of radish flavor.

The restaurant opened four days earlier than originally planned. Only one person was lining up at 10:45 (lol). As an opening service, there is a 20% discount for the first three days on 9/16, 17, and 18. I found out about this place from Patukin-kun's information. I ordered the Butter Prawn (shrimp) Curry with Naan Set at spice level 5 (extra spicy) and also got an iced coffee as a soft drink. The Naan was huge and chewy, although the butter wasn't evenly spread, the parts with butter were delicious. The curry had a slight sweetness and the shrimp flavor was tasty. I was worried about the spiciness level being too much at "extra spicy," but it was actually quite manageable and enjoyable. The 110 yen coffee was small though (lol). I had a very good experience this time. \(^-^)/
