White tonkotsu chashu ramen is okay, but the pepper is too strong.

I had been wanting to eat there for a while, but there was always a long line, so I thought it wasn't worth the wait. Finally, I decided to go to Charai Kyoku in the west when I really had a craving, but there was quite a line. I ended up going to the main store, where there were two customers ahead of me. And to make matters worse, it took a long time for people to come out, so I had to wait quite a bit. I was getting a bit irritated... Finally, I got inside, but it turned out that a young man who came after me decided to give up and asked for a refund for his food voucher. Isn't that just making me wait longer? I was getting even more frustrated... They make you buy the food voucher first, so it's hard to just give up and leave! And it was so hot outside. Finally, I was seated and ordered a canned chu-hi and Charai. The Charai was quite bland, but it tasted pretty good with the garlic sauce. However, I felt like it was a bit lacking. Was it always like this? Did my memory exaggerate the taste, or did the taste change? I'm not sure. All I can say is, if it's going to take that long, is it really worth it? Maybe it's better to come occasionally without waiting in line for so long. And paying 750 yen for this felt like a "good deal!" But let's keep that between us...

I visited at 11:30. I ordered ramen and fried rice. There were 4 types of ramen to choose from, and I chose the one with bonito flakes on top. It was pretty delicious, but the kitchen was visible and it seemed like they wanted to bring out both mine and my companion's ramen at the same time, so there was a 1-2 minute delay before mine was brought out, causing the bonito flakes to dissolve in the soup, so I wish they had brought it out sooner. The fried rice was a bit bland without the sauce, and the sauce was on the stronger side, so I could imagine it being popular among students.

Occasionally, there are shops that become famous for products that are not their main items. For example, a coffee shop known for its curry rice, a yakiniku restaurant popular for its ramen, or a Chinese restaurant famous for its omurice. I wonder what the business owners think when an unexpected product becomes popular. Some might think, "Well, if it's selling well, that's great!" while others might say, "That's not what we're known for." Yesterday, I visited a ramen shop located right in front of the city university hospital, but their specialty is fried rice, called "Chalai." The fried rice wrapped in egg is delicious from start to finish. You can even add cheese for free, which I always do because it's so tasty. They offer ramen sets with mini Chalai or mini ramen, and you can also try the Chalai sauce, which comes in wasabi or garlic flavors. I prefer the garlic sauce. There is also a Chalai specialty shop nearby that I haven't visited yet, but I will definitely go next time. I had a great meal. Tonight, I have a drinking party, so I might stop by for ramen on the way back. 😂😂😂

I came here after hearing that the Char siu is delicious and famous. The "Char siu Large Portion" costs 990 yen and is topped with half-cooked egg. It was quite impactful with the egg covering the fried rice. The flavor is not too strong like typical Chinese dishes, but rather light and easy to eat. The egg is delicious and goes well with the dish, making it even tastier. Overall, the Char siu was visually appealing and delicious in terms of flavor.

I went to the main store for the first time in a while. It was around 1:30 pm, and there were only two customers ahead of me. I ordered a set of regular Char siu and a small bowl of ramen. I chose the black tonkotsu ramen. The Char siu came with free cheese, so they put it under the egg. The ramen had thin firm noodles with a strong punch of Ma-yu oil, and it tasted similar to Kurotei from Kumamoto, which was delicious. The Char siu was incredibly tasty when I added garlic soy sauce from the table. It was like Chinese omurice, definitely a different experience. Thank you for the meal.

A friend recommended Charai, a place I was curious about. I like to try limited-time items even in new places. I wondered if there would be tobikko in the fried rice, and there was! It was delicious! I also got some free cheese and placed it between the egg and rice. I received some pickled vegetables, and when I added the Charai sauce for a change in flavor, it was really delicious! Thank you for the meal.

This was my first time visiting. I wasn't sure what was popular here, so I decided to try the Charai set meal. I ordered it with no cheese, and with black (thin noodles) on a whim. The black turned out to be a spicy tonkotsu ramen with ma-yu oil. The thin noodles were cooked to about medium firmness. The chashu had a hint of star anise and tasted authentic. I started by finishing the noodles, then enjoyed the remaining soup and chashu. The chashu was served on a bed of negi fried rice with a half-boiled egg on top, which is the Charai. I ate it with the wasabi soy sauce on the table. Both the ramen and the Charai had flavors that lifted my spirits. I am full and satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I went for a drink and ended up here. I had ramen and fried rice. The garlic soy sauce is addictive. The fried rice wrapped in egg and covered in garlic soy sauce was amazing. The combination of egg and sauce is the best. You should definitely try it.

Bonito and tonkotsu ramen with a small side of char siu is delicious. The pork bone soup is not too strong and has a refreshing taste. The combination of animal-based and fish-based flavors is surprisingly good. The char siu alone is tasty enough, but with the fluffy egg and special sauce, it's unbeatable. It's like adding a golden stick to a demon, or rather, char siu with egg. Well, if that happens, the egg will be in two layers, so maybe char siu with egg is better. Anyway, I will definitely come back again.

On August 10th at around 4:25 PM, I had the small Char Siu ramen set meal. Oh, you can choose from four different soups for the ramen... I'll go with the bonito and tonkotsu one! Char Siu... it's really delicious... and they have a lot of different dipping sauces. They really understand the thoughts of customers well. With so many options, it's like an amusement park for flavors. I enjoyed trying out different flavor combinations. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant during lunch time. Although it was not mentioned on Tabelog, please note that lunch orders are only until 3:00 PM. I ordered the Char siu and ramen set. For the ramen, you can choose from tonkotsu (black or white) or salt flavor, and I chose the salt ramen. Since cheese topping on the Char siu was free, I definitely asked for it! The salt ramen was refreshing yet rich in flavor, while the Char siu had a subtle taste that I enjoyed with the sauces on the table!

It was very delicious. It was located a little away from the bustling area around Tennoji Station and Abeno Harukas. I believe it was right in front of the Prefectural University Hospital. I ordered the Charai set meal that I was most curious about (1050 yen). You can choose from 4 types of mini ramen. This time, I chose black tonkotsu. It was a thin noodle ramen (you can also choose thick noodles), and even though it was a mini ramen, it had a large slice of pork char siu in it, which I enjoyed eating smoothly! The Charai was a regular portion, but it had a decent amount of volume, with an egg covering the fried rice like an omelette, giving a satisfying feeling of eating both omelette rice and fried rice at the same time! The fried rice was similar to the one I had at Marugen Ramen, and it was a delicious fried rice that matched well with the provided sauce and egg! Personally, I think next time I would like to have both in a large portion... haha

I was running late for a meeting at Abeno Harukas, so I decided to look for a place to have lunch and ended up choosing ramen. I searched and found a place called Ramen Goku Honten, about an 8-minute walk east from Tennoji Station with red lanterns. I ordered the Char Siu set meal from the vending machine, and for ramen, I chose the black tonkotsu soup with thin noodles. They had three types of Char Siu sauce, and I recommend the plain and garlic ones.

I had lunch at Ramen Goku in Tennoji. When it comes to Ramen Goku, I ordered the Char Siu Ramen and Char Siu Set. The White Tonkotsu is a classic pork bone ramen. The cheese topping goes well with the Char Siu. It's even better when you try adding the sauce on the table for a change in flavor. I went during lunchtime and it was very crowded.

I visited the restaurant around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. There were 2 customers and 2 staff members (who were foreigners). I bought meal tickets at the counter for ramen (890 yen), fried rice (750 yen), and extra green onions (150 yen). I helped myself to water at the entrance, but there was too much ice in it. I asked for extra pork fat for free. There were complimentary toppings like pickled ginger, pickled mustard greens, grated garlic, fried onions, and mayonnaise. I chose pickled ginger and pickled mustard greens. The staff asked if I wanted cheese in my fried rice, and I said yes. The food was served in about 8 minutes. The fried rice was impressive, especially the egg. You can season the fried rice with various condiments on the table. The ramen, on the other hand, was just average. Thank you for the meal.

I came to Tennoji to play and suddenly felt like eating ramen. When I asked my friend, they recommended "Charai!" I wondered what Charai was, maybe a new Pokémon? I went to the restaurant, bought a meal ticket, and waited. What came out was a fried rice dish with an omelette on top, abbreviated as Charai! The taste was not as heavy as it looked, quite light. It seems that you can change the flavor with toppings and sauce if you like something richer. It was delicious, but I completely forgot about wanting to eat ramen. Next time, I want to try the ramen too!

The ramen at Ramen-ya Charai is so delicious that it's like a supporting actor, and I've become speechless with how good it is. It's a dream come true. It was a limited-time offer and it was amazing!! The fact that you can pour different sauces on it adds an entertaining element, which is great. When you sprinkle fried onions on it, the deliciousness doubles.

I visited the ramen shop "Ramen Goku Honten" near Tennoji Station around 11 o'clock. The shop is just a 5-minute walk from Tennoji Station. They offer four types of soup: white tonkotsu, black tonkotsu, bonito tonkotsu, and chicken salt, and you can choose between thin or thick noodles. They also have special rice dishes like "Charai" and the visually impressive "Goku Saburo Don". Charai is a dish similar to fried rice with chopped chashu pork and a runny egg on top. Goku Saburo Don has a unique appearance with a pork cartilage, two runny eggs, cheese, kimchi, and green onions piled on top of rice. The menu includes ramen, chashu ramen, Charai, Goku Saburo Don, rice, gyoza, ramen set meals, and Charai set meals. I tried the Chashu Ramen with black tonkotsu soup and thin noodles, as well as the Charai with wasabi sauce. The ramen had a rich flavor enhanced by burnt garlic oil, while the Charai was delicious with a hint of wasabi. The strong and flavorful taste of the ramen leaves you feeling satisfied. I would like to try the Goku Saburo Don next time. Thank you for the meal. #Ramen #TennojiRamen #TennojiStationRamen #Gourmet #TennojiGourmet #Tonkotsu #Foodie #RamenLovers
