It's been a while since my last visit! I used to visit various ramen shops regularly, but I kind of drifted away for a bit... I used to go crazy and visit them all the time, but not anymore. This time, in the lingering heat of September, I sought some cool relief with cold tsukemen and the limited-time sudachi cold shio ramen. I arrived at 11:30 AM and luckily there was one seat available, so I took it. First, I ordered the cold tsukemen! I love the atmosphere here, and about 10 minutes later, it arrived! Ah... the flat noodles I haven't had in a while... Let's dig in! I took a bite... delicious... too delicious... it's still the best... The dipping sauce brings out the umami of chicken broth while the soy sauce base flavor stands out. The acidity and saltiness are stronger than regular tsukemen, but it has a refreshing finish with a nice peppery kick. And these flat noodles... so chewy and smooth to slurp! I used to like medium-thick alpha noodles the most, but ever since trying these noodles, I've been hooked. The chicken chashu has a meaty texture with a strong salty flavor, incredibly tasty. The bamboo shoots are crunchy and well-marinated, and the seasoned boiled egg! Can you believe it? You get a seasoned boiled egg for 800 yen! Isn't that amazing? The sweetness of the yolk is comforting and it comes with no additional charge, which I find really impressive. The side soup, made cold for the tsukemen, is refreshing and perfectly balanced in saltiness, making it easy to gulp down. It can easily help you beat the heat in this weather. And the sudachi cold shio ramen here has a delicious blend of chicken, pork, and seafood broth with a well-balanced salt seasoning. The tanginess and slight bitterness from the sudachi enhance the coolness. The thin noodles have a strong chewy texture and a wheaty flavor that pairs well with the soup. The chicken chashu here is also salty and meaty, very delicious. A large serving of this costs 1000 yen (usually 900 yen) and it's quite generous, almost like a typical large serving you'd find elsewhere. The hospitality here is overflowing and they are very generous with their portions. Finally, after exchanging a few words with the owner and the staff, I left feeling completely satisfied and headed home. Not only is their regular tsukemen delicious, but their cold options are also very tasty, so why not try them out to beat the heat? I highly recommend this place, so if you have some free time, please give it a try! Enjoy!
