Yes, it's ramen time! "Asahiya" Shoyu Ramen 760 yen, Homemade Seasoned Egg 100 yen. One of the old ramen shops in Noda that I have always wanted to visit is Asahiya. This shop serves a nostalgic tonkotsu shoyu-based ramen known as the "Akira style," which is inherited from the famous ramen shop "Daiichi Asahi" in Kyoto. I finally had the chance to visit as I had plans for dinner nearby. I arrived after 1 pm and there was a line outside. After a short wait, I entered and sat at the counter right away. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen with extra vegetables and also added a Homemade Seasoned Egg. It's great that you can increase the amount of vegetables for free! The visual presentation was impressive with a bowl covered in a large amount of green onions, slices of chashu peeking out, and a slightly messy seasoned egg. The soup was a rich tonkotsu broth with a clear taste and a sharp seasoning that enhanced the flavor. The homemade thin straight noodles were firm and had a good flavor. The additional green onions and bean sprouts blended well with the soup. The chashu was thinly sliced and flavorful, a characteristic of the Akira style. I finished it all quickly and it was delicious. The turnover of customers was constant, showing how popular the shop is! I definitely want to try their miso ramen next time! Store Information: Name: Asahiya Address: 3-6-17 Noda, Fukushima-ku, Osaka City Opening Hours: 11:00-21:00 (Sundays until 18:00) Closed on Mondays Access: About 1 minute walk from Tamagawa Station on the Osaka Metro, about 2 minutes walk from Noda Station on JR. Note that business days, hours, and operations may change. Profile: Ramen enthusiast based in Osaka. Wakes up to the deliciousness of ramen and consumes over 300 bowls every year! Travels around in search of delicious ramen with a beloved tricity (three-wheeled bike). Appears not only in Kansai but also in various parts of Japan. Of course, enjoys various other foods as well. Miso chashu ramen with boiled egg and menma. Extra vegetables, firm noodles. The broth is a light tonkotsu miso flavor with a good depth of flavor. Added karashi miso halfway through for a flavor change. Topped with lots of green onions and bean sprouts, very filling and satisfying.

Great value for money. As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted by the delicious smell of ramen. If you like rich broth, you will definitely enjoy their ramen. The large portion is served in a bowl the size of a washbasin, and it only costs 1,000 yen with change. They explained how to properly enjoy the spicy miso ramen. I left feeling completely satisfied.

Established in 1988, Asahi-ya is a long-established ramen restaurant in the Akira style (First Asahi style). The restaurant is located just a short walk from Tamagawa Station on the Osaka Metro Sen-Nichimae Line, at exit 3. There is a parking lot for 3 cars at the back of the restaurant, but please be aware that the road to the parking lot is quite narrow! When you enter the restaurant through the large white noren curtain with "Asahi-ya" written on it, you will find a cozy interior with 8 counter seats, 1 table for 2, and 2 tables for 4. During lunchtime, the restaurant is almost always full. I ordered the Miso Ramen Set (with large rice) for 820 yen plus 130 yen for extra toppings: - Miso Ramen (with extra vegetables) - Large rice - Takana pickles I added extra Takana pickles and a large rice to the Miso Ramen Set, with extra green onions and bean sprouts (extra vegetables). The ramen came with green onions, bean sprouts, chashu pork, and bamboo shoots. The chashu pork, made from pork belly, was large and satisfying, offering a good balance of flavor and chewiness that complemented the soup well. The crispy green onions and bean sprouts added a refreshing touch to the dish. The straight medium-thick noodles had a smooth texture and good elasticity, pairing well with the flavorful miso soup. The soup had a rich miso flavor with a unique saltiness that was well-balanced and smooth. You can also add spicy seasoning (Yannijyan) to change the flavor midway through the meal, adding a powerful kick of spiciness and richness. You can customize your order for free, such as choosing noodle firmness, extra green onions, or extra bean sprouts. For 820 yen, the portion size and quality of the ramen are quite impressive! However, some customers have not been able to finish their meals when ordering extra vegetables, leading to food waste. As a result, the restaurant has removed the sign for "extra green onions and bean sprouts (extra vegetables)." You can still order "extra vegetables," but be prepared for a substantial portion! Asahi-ya is a rare find in Osaka, offering a parking lot and serving lunch through dinner. It's a great place to enjoy a late lunch or dinner. Thank you for the delicious meal! \(^o^)/

Today I had lunch at a restaurant in Noda because I had work there. The menu was like this. There was an old man at the noodle shop today. Hehe. Set meal (rice, pickled vegetables) for 80 yen. Soy sauce ramen for 800 yen. When you order with extra vegetables, you get a lot of bean sprouts and green onions (lol). The ramen made by the old man is seriously delicious, I'm so satisfied. Thank you for the feast! Address: 3-6-17 Noda, Fukushima-ku, Osaka City. Phone: 06-6462-1218. Open on weekdays from 11:00 to 21:00, on Sundays and holidays from 11:00 to 18:00. Closed on Mondays. I ordered the soy sauce ramen set meal (soy sauce ramen for 800 yen with an additional 80 yen for pickled vegetables and rice), while my eldest son ordered the soy sauce chashu ramen (970 yen, both with firm noodles). We visited for a weekend lunch. The noodles were homemade thin noodles that were smooth and went down easily. The chashu wasn't as fatty as it looked and paired well with the rice. The soup was delicious and I almost finished it all, but it made me quite thirsty afterwards. I regret not asking for extra green onions, as I found out from the order of the next customer.

I visited for the first time in about 20 years. I used to come here often in the past. Recently, I've been wanting to come back but haven't had the chance until now. It was a weekday and past lunchtime, so the parking lot was empty and I was able to get in smoothly. Even though customers were coming and going, it's still a popular place. I ordered the soy sauce ramen. I love the simplicity of this flavor. You can also get extra green onions. I will definitely come back again.

I went to Asahiya near Noda Station for lunch on 8/19/2023. I had soy sauce ramen. It was a soy sauce ramen with a slightly strong salty taste. It felt nostalgic and delicious. Thank you for the meal. #Osaka #Noda #Ramen #Asahiya

Apparently, soy sauce is famous here! According to my friend who went with me! I'm more of a miso person, so I ordered miso ramen! It had a sweet taste! I tried a bit of my friend's soup and was shocked! The soy sauce soup was so delicious! I regret not listening to my friend who is a regular at this shop! Next time, I definitely want to order the soy sauce ramen!

It seems like you're following the style of Mr. Asahi, right? The Akira style, is that what it's called? I wonder if everyone in Kansai knows about it? Probably. Originally, I was planning on joining the Umeda bargain drinking tonight after starting from yesterday's "Sashisu," but I drank too much at Koshien... Six beers, huh... Even at 6 pm, my stomach was already tired... And just with beers, it cost 4,500 yen, what a waste... Trying to regain my spirits, but my stomach couldn't recover... When I searched for a hotel nearby, I came across Asahiya. The downside of ramen shops is that I want to leisurely enjoy my "first beer" but feel guilty ordering without ordering noodles... But once I order, the noodles come right away. But since there are three empty seats at the counter, it should be okay... So I ordered a beer for 520 yen, a plate of menma for 200 yen, and gyoza for 280 yen. Is this amount okay to order? The snacks in Osaka are cheap and delightful. In my hometown of Kanagawa, menma costs 320 yen, and gyoza costs 450 yen. Do you feel it's expensive in Kansai? Also, in Kanto, menma is cold, but is it warm in Kansai? Just like at yesterday's Kinkuemon, it was the same. A new discovery. Maybe this is good too. When I looked around, I saw a bowl overflowing with green onions... The menu didn't mention topping with green onions. Why? That person's rice also looks overflowing... Indeed, for 80 yen, you can add rice to the noodles and make it a set meal. The large serving of rice costs 130 yen, as written on the menu. Cheap! The noodles themselves cost an additional 80 yen for 1.5 servings, and 160 yen for 2 servings. It's too fair. As I listened to the orders inside the shop, I realized that you can add green onions and bean sprouts for free, so I mustered up the courage to order, but then I heard a voice from the table seats asking for firm noodles... That's right, at First Asahi, you could also get free extra green onions and specify the firmness... How grateful. Today, while enjoying my 7th "first beer," I was filled with rich learnings and made my order. Soy sauce ramen, extra green onions, firm noodles! It arrived shortly after. It was quite a generous portion, and the regular size was enough. Extra green onions are wonderful... What a lovely green spread... Is this Mongolia in the summer?! I see! The overflowing bowl from that customer earlier had 1.5 servings of noodles, and extra bean sprouts and green onions. Probably. The bowl looked like Mount Fuji in the summer. Today, I learned a lot from the customers again. The gyoza was a bit oily, but the menma seemed like I could have multiple plates of it. If they had both cold and warm menma, I would definitely have seconds. Maybe not. No, I don't know. The ramen also brought back memories of First Asahi, but my stomach wasn't feeling great... Watching everyone enjoying their rice as a side dish to the ramen, I can't help but feel envious... Indeed... the essence of food enjoyment lies in a healthy lifestyle. If it were my local place, I would definitely visit often.

Soy Sauce Ramen ¥800 - Medium Size (1.5 servings) ¥80 - Extra Vegetables (Green Onions, Bean Sprouts, Extra) Free of charge ¥880 - A popular old-fashioned Kyoto-style Chinese noodle soup that everyone loves. It has a lot of vegetables and is perfect for a long battle, so the best choice is firm noodles with extra green onions. The red miso is not too spicy and is just right for a change of taste.

I stayed near Tamagawa Station for a meeting tomorrow, and walked around the area to find a popular ramen shop. Despite trying to eat lightly because I had eaten a little too much for lunch, the ramen was not too greasy, and the noodles were cooked perfectly to my liking, so I finished it easily. It was delicious. People coming back from work were ordering rice, gyoza, and other dishes together, with options like soy sauce, miso, extra rich, and additional chashu being common, as if they were regular customers.

If you say in advance that you want extra green onions in your soy sauce ramen with a large serving, you will get a bowl with a lot of green onions. The restaurant has a local favorite vibe and is always crowded during lunchtime. The parking lot is located in a complex alley behind the restaurant, so first-time visitors may find it confusing. The noodles were a bit soft, so next time I will order them firm. The soy sauce ramen is not too strong or too light, and has a taste that you won't get tired of even if you eat it every day. It's hard to describe the flavor, but it's definitely a taste that makes you want to eat it again.

Soy sauce ramen with homemade seasoned egg for 900 yen at Ramen Asahiya in Noda, Fukushima-ku, Osaka City. This was my second time getting on and off at Noda Station. The first time was for a reception at a certain Jiro-style restaurant. This time, I was curious about something called "Akira-style," so I made a pit stop at Ramen Asahiya near Tamagawa Station just before closing time. Shortly after entering, I saw the lights at the entrance being turned off, realizing it was a close call. Akira-style is a type of ramen derived from the famous Ichiran, known for its traditional Kyoto-style ramen with a tonkotsu (though slightly cloudy) broth, bean sprouts, green onions, and chashu. Despite not being chashu noodles, I received four thick and substantial slices of chashu for an additional 170 yen. I wonder how much more would be served if I upgraded to chashu noodles. The homemade noodles, cooked al dente, were slightly shorter, medium-thick, straight noodles that were easy to slurp. I probably won't come back to Noda just to eat here again, but I appreciate their steadfast commitment to maintaining a traditional taste. Thank you for the meal.

I was in the mood for some Akira-style food from the morning, and whenever that happens, I always find myself drawn to "Asahiya" in front of Tamagawa Station. Every time I head towards the parking lot behind the shop, I always think, "Did I take the wrong way?" I'm a mega-ton level directionally challenged person. But I safely arrived and ordered the "Shoyu Chashu Ramen" after accidentally flipping over the parking number tag. Today, I plan to eat a lot of rice for dinner, so I resisted the urge to order rice while being comforted by the parent-child love in the kitchen. In just 5 minutes, my bowl arrived. The rich animal-based soup with a strong soy sauce flavor was exactly what I was craving! This is it! The chashu was thick and satisfying, allowing me to enjoy various parts with generous portions. Wrapping the quite a lot of green onions around the chashu and slurping the medium-thick straight noodles with a pleasant texture, I felt like I was in heaven. Adding the table-side spicy miso halfway through enhanced the happiness of finishing the meal. It was delicious! It's no wonder the place is packed as soon as it opens. This was my 232nd bowl of ramen this year.

Miso ramen for 820 yen. I had high expectations because it had good reviews on Tabelog, but it didn't suit my taste. It's hard to pinpoint exactly, but I felt that the broth could be simpler. The miso and other flavors clashed, creating a conflict in my mouth. Considering the price in this day and age, it's quite reasonable, so that's a plus. Maybe I'll try the chashu ramen next time. Thank you for the meal.

"Soy sauce ramen for 800 yen. The noodles were firm. The soup had a pork-based flavor reminiscent of Akira style, slightly cloudy rather than clear. The noodles were straight, medium-thin with good chewiness, although I requested them firm they were just average. Toppings included soft chashu, plenty of bean sprouts, and green onions. It was nice to see that they are still in business after over 3 years. It had been a while since my last visit, but I enjoyed it. When I was feeling a bit peckish in the evening, I used to come here often. The soup was delicious, and I wished the noodles were even firmer. The portion of noodles was surprisingly generous, which was nice. Thank you for the meal!"

On July 14, 2023 (Friday) at noon, Asahiya Ramen near Tamagawa Station and Noda Station surprised me with its unexpectedly delicious flavor! The soy sauce chashu ramen was priced at 970 yen, with options to add homemade seasoned egg for 100 yen and homemade menma for another 100 yen. Each ramen comes with a complimentary rice and extra bean sprouts and green onions. The noodles were of standard firmness, and the ramen had a classic soy sauce flavor. While it wasn't my favorite taste-wise, the service and cost performance were solid, making it a reliable choice. The restaurant was not crowded when I arrived at 11:05 am, with only 5 customers inside. The portion of rice and pickles was a bit disappointing as I had expected it to be all-you-can-eat. The regular size ramen was satisfying, although others seemed to prefer medium or large portions. Surprisingly, the chashu, bean sprouts, and soup complemented each other perfectly. I enjoyed pouring the soup over rice and using the toppings as side dishes. Note: A regular customer ordered a custom dish of cold noodles with extra bean sprouts, although it wasn't listed on the menu. The small restaurant had limited space for belongings. Overall, the taste was good, the service was decent, and the cost performance was reasonable.

It seems like a ramen shop on the Tamagawa station side of the Osaka Metro Chitose Line that follows the style of Asahiya from Kyoto Takabashi. Although there used to be many Asahiya shops, they have decreased due to various reasons. However, the soy sauce ramen from Kyoto Takabashi remains a standard choice that you occasionally crave. The soy sauce ramen costs 800 yen, which is a good value considering the generous amount of char siu included.

It is located just a short walk south from Exit 3 of Tamagawa Station on the Osaka Metro. Inside the shop, there are 6 counter seats, 1 table for 2, and 2 tables for 4. I had the soy sauce chashu ramen here. Soon after, the ramen was brought to me. The toppings included chashu, bean sprouts, and green onions. The noodles were thin and straight. The soup seemed to be a soy sauce pork bone broth. The rich flavor of soy sauce and pork bone combined, creating a flavorful soup. The noodles slid smoothly into the soup. The chashu meat, crunchy bean sprouts, and green onions complemented the ramen well. You can add spicy miso halfway through to give it a kick. Next time, I would like to try the miso ramen. Thank you for the meal.

The classic Chinese noodles at this place were of high quality. The soup wasn't too salty, and I really liked the texture and cooking of the noodles. Even the regular soy sauce ramen had plenty of noodles and chashu, but I wonder what would happen if you added extra chashu or noodles. The customers were mostly older men, so it had a real "manly ramen" vibe.
