I stayed at a hotel that had a ramen shop, so I had to try it out. It was a famous place. I was a bit scared because I read that a bowl costs around 2000 yen, but when I checked the menu, the recommended dish was 1650 yen including tax. Maybe the information on Tabelog was old? Anyway, my child fell asleep so I quickly went to the restaurant. The interior was stylish and all the customers were inbound tourists. I ordered the yuzu salt ramen, which was spicy. The broth looked like soy sauce but had a strong yuzu flavor that wasn't too sour. The noodles were very thin and delicious, and the toppings were generous. I thought I might get tired of it halfway through, but I didn't. I almost finished the whole bowl, but managed to stop myself. Some people might have mixed feelings about the restaurant, with things like room temperature water and prices set for inbound tourists, but I thought it was still worth it for the taste. It was delicious, and I would like to come back if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal! (-人-)

AFURI in Niseko was a surprising find. While the prices are on the higher side, the taste is on par with their Tokyo locations. The atmosphere and interior are also impressive, comparable to a high-end hotel. Considering the prices in the area, it is quite reasonable. A warm bowl of ramen in the cold winter is truly delicious. Personally, I highly recommend it.

I went to AFURI in Niseko. The menu was all in English and the prices were in foreign currency. This time, I ordered salt and soy ramen, each costing around 2000 yen. Niseko is popular among foreigners, so the taste was really good. Thank you for the meal!

Due to the world pandemic, the frequency of eating out has decreased significantly over the past three years. Today, I explored the Hira-fu area in Kutchan-cho in search of a delicious lunch. As I walked around on foot, I found myself wandering all the way to Niseko without realizing it. I remembered that there were restaurants like Merimero and AFURI in Niseko, so I decided to try AFURI. The interior of the restaurant had a very stylish design. The menu offered not only ramen but also side dishes and a variety of drinks including wine. The menu descriptions were all in English with Japanese translations next to the menu names. I ordered the KIWAMI YUZU SHOYU ramen for 3,300 yen and the ABURI KORO CHASHU DON for 1,210 yen. My partner ordered the YUZU-TSUYU ramen for 2,310 yen and the STEAMED EBI WONTON for 990 yen. The first dish to arrive was the steamed shrimp wonton, which I tried. It had a good taste that would go well with alcohol, but I wished the shrimp had a bit more firmness. The aburi chashu don was delicious with tender chashu, grated daikon, and pickles. The yuzu ramen was also tasty with thick noodles, chashu, and a refreshing yuzu flavor. My KIWAMI ramen was served with thin straight noodles in a yuzu soy sauce broth, which was rich and flavorful. It came with toppings like egg, shiitake mushrooms, watercress, shredded daikon, chashu, and sinachiku. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to add the toppings to the soup and noodles separately or all at once, but I ended up adding everything to the bowl and enjoyed it. Overall, the ramen was worth the price, and I had a satisfying meal. Payment was card only.

In Tokyo, there are many stores where you can easily eat Afuri ramen, but in Hokkaido, it is only available in Niseko, which opened in August this year (apparently it used to be available in Tomamu as well). So, when I visited Niseko, I decided to stop by Afuri. I ordered the spicy tsukemen. The noodles had a good texture, and the spicy yet refreshing and flavorful soup was delicious in the unique Afuri style. The bread, exclusive to the Niseko store, was also tasty. It had a whole soft-shell crab inside, providing a satisfying meal. However, the prices are high. Perhaps because it's Niseko and caters to international tourists, the prices were higher than at Afuri in Tokyo.

First, I placed my order at the register and paid with a cashless payment. Then I sat at my favorite seat. I ordered the Yuzu Salt Ramen for 1500 yen and a 350 yen oolong tea. The restaurant is spacious and stylish. The staff's service was very pleasant. The Yuzu Salt Ramen had firm noodles and a slightly strong yuzu flavor in the soup.
