I stayed at Tokyu Stay for one night on this day. It was a three-day weekend, but I used the "Do-min Discount" and got breakfast included for 5,000 yen + a 2,000 yen coupon. I stayed for a total of 3,000 yen, which was a great deal, but I was disappointed with the breakfast buffet. On this day, I went to watch a baseball game. In the morning, I left my luggage at Tokyu Stay. I left my luggage, received the coupon and made the payment, then went to watch the baseball game. After the game, I checked in smoothly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Usually, I have trouble sleeping on unfamiliar bedding and wake up several times at night, but this time I slept soundly until the alarm went off. The air conditioning in the room was comfortable, and although the refrigerator could not be adjusted for temperature, there was an ice maker on the 2nd floor, so it was not a problem. There was no large public bath, but having a separate toilet and bath allowed me to relax in a hot bath at night. Check-out was also smooth, and the hotel itself was quite comfortable. However, the only downside was the breakfast buffet. The only thing I liked about the breakfast buffet was that the "breakfast voucher was not limited to the same day." I had never seen a breakfast voucher that could be used within 3 months from the date of issue. It's nice to be able to use it on a different day, especially when you can't eat breakfast due to drinking too much the night before. And the fact that it's valid for 3 months is quite generous. That was impressive, but the buffet itself was disappointing. Breakfast Buffet: 1,530 yen, available from 6:30 am. Here's what I ate: - Salad: Crispy. The freshness of the leafy greens was not bad. The tomatoes and seaweed were mediocre. - Grilled salmon: Typical grilled salmon. It was thin, but that's to be expected. - Thin bacon: Typical thin bacon. It was easy to eat and tasted better than expected. - Simmered lamb: Oh... this was tough to have in the morning. All the unpleasant aspects of lamb were fully exposed. I'm glad I didn't take too much. - Miso soup with baby scallops: Only shells. I managed to find some scallops in there. The miso soup with baby scallops should be delicious, but the miso flavor was too strong, overpowering the scallop flavor. - Lamb curry soup: It was like curry soup, reminiscent of soup curry. However, it was not very spicy. The curry itself had plenty of lamb meat in it, and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't particularly delicious either. If you want to eat lamb, I recommend the lamb curry over the simmered lamb. - Fluffy rice: The rice was so delicious!!!! It was cooked in a large pot, so I was a bit skeptical, but it was so good that I wanted seconds. If only the side dishes were a bit more substantial... - Natto: Better than the typical natto at business hotels. I had it with rice. Come to think of it, there were no condiments (like green onions)... - Drinks: I didn't take a picture, but there was a Suntory juice dispenser with Natchan and Ginger Ale. There was also Pepsi, which was delicious, so I had two cups. There was also Katugen and milk from Toyotomi-cho, but the milk from Toyotomi-cho was "Toyotomi squeeze" (in a blue package) which I tried drinking. This product reduces the milk fat to 2.5%. I'm not saying that the milk in the blue package is bad, but I wish they had used the green package "Hokkaido Milk" (from Toyotomi-cho). I tried it and it was good, but if you're going to use milk from Toyotomi-cho, I would have preferred the slightly more expensive "Hokkaido Milk" (from Toyotomi-cho) in the green package. Hokkaido milk is delicious! I understand that 1,530 yen is not a luxury, but I wish the breakfast had been a bit more fulfilling.
