"Bakhaus Irie Cream Pan Sales Area" at Daimaru Umeda Store in Kita-ku, Osaka City. The shop is located at the far end of the east side on the basement 1st floor, separated into two sections by a corridor, so I missed it at first. It is a takeout-only shop with no eat-in space. This time, I purchased 3 items.
- Cream Pan (237 yen tax included): There was a lot of custard cream inside, which was a pleasant surprise. The taste was fluffy, smooth, and rich, making it a popular item. Among various fancy cream pan varieties, this simple one stands out as one of the most delicious I have ever had.
- Ring Donut (97 yen tax included): This month's second best-selling item. The crispy sugar coating and soft dough combine well, making it tasty. It's a small size, perfect for a snack.
- An Butter (237 yen tax included): Many shops use French bread dough for an butter, but here they use whole wheat slightly firm bread with chunky texture anko and slightly salty butter. Overall, it's not too sweet and easy to eat. The staff's service was excellent. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

There is matcha cream bread! I couldn't resist and ended up buying it. While regular cream bread is always delicious, matcha lovers should definitely try this one (*^^*) The green color is so appealing, and it tastes as good as it looks!! The bread and cream are moist, making it easy to eat and satisfying♡

I heard that there is a main store in Amagasaki, and their famous cream pan is delicious. The creamy custard filling is so smooth and abundant that it almost spills out of the bread. The bread dough seems to be twice as much as usual. The custard cream is rich and mellow. They use milk from Hyogo Prefecture and Hida for their products. They also offer delicious sandwich bread.

When it comes to cream puffs, it's Mr. Irie! I wonder if they have seasonal cream puffs. I was recommended the cherry blossom one, but I prefer the regular cream. They pack it securely so it doesn't get squished. The cream is rich, soft, and gentle. Thank you for the delicious treat.

After enjoying a midday drink at the station building, I took a leisurely walk to Daimaru. I was curious about this cream bread and wanted to try it. There were a few customers ahead of me, so it wasn't too crowded. While waiting behind the older lady, I decided on what to buy. Here are the options:
- Cream bread (237 yen)
- Chocolate cream bread (302 yen)
- Caramel cream bread (302 yen)
I decided to buy all three types of cream bread. First, I tried the cream bread from the sign. It had a very moist and smooth cream, not too sweet, and was delicious. I can see why it's popular! How about the chocolate cream bread? It was quite sweet, almost too sweet, with a hint of brandy or some kind of alcohol in it. The aroma was nice, but it was just too sweet. The caramel cream bread was similar, very sweet and started to feel overwhelming halfway through. Overall, I thought the regular cream bread was the best. Thank you for the meal!

I bought a limited-time caramel cream pan and a regular cream pan. The dough was thin and the cream was sweet. The expiration date was said to be the day I bought it, but I put it in the refrigerator and ate it the next night without any problems. Thank you for the delicious cream pan.

The Daimaru Umeda store is located quite far back, so it took some time to find it, but I was happy when I finally found it. And the cream puffs! So much cream! And they were so soft and delicious. When I took them home, they were neatly arranged on a tray, making it easy to carry them. I appreciated the little extra touch!

I purchased cream puffs at a famous bakery event hosted by Backhaus Irie. The bread was fluffy, and the cream inside was deliciously gooey. I couldn't resist and quickly finished one. I bought a pack of 3, but I could probably eat them all by myself! That's how creamy and tasty the bread is. I would love to have it again. Thank you for the meal.

Cream puffs are very popular, right? This time I was able to buy them first thing in the morning. I ended up buying more than just cream puffs while chatting with the staff... (laughs)
Cream puff - 216 yen
Smooth, creamy custard filling in abundance! The bread is fluffy and almost entirely filled with cream.
Red bean paste bun with sweet bean paste filling - 227 yen
The red bean paste has a nice aroma and flavor! It's like a real sweet bean paste with soft mochi. The bread is fine and moist with a hint of sweetness.
Croissant - 173 yen
It must be filled with plenty of fermented butter, the aroma is amazing! It has a gentle flavor, a slightly salty taste, a uniform layer, a light crispy texture, and a moist inside.
IRIE Technique / Soft Type 1 Loaf - 411 yen
For eating as is:
Soft and chewy inside / Normal toast: Crispy and chewy texture
Flavor = Plain, Texture = Air bubbles present, Moisture level = High
It has a chewy texture due to the use of the tangzhong method! Recommended for toast lovers, it was a great purchase. The gentle taste and aroma of butter enhance the deliciousness even more! The bread dough was really delicious. So, I want to try the plain loaf next time! It was really delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I searched for delicious food around Osaka Station and found this place! It was featured on TV for its delicious cream puffs, so I decided to try it out. There are several locations around Osaka Station where you can find them. The shop is simple without a store front, but there was a line of customers, showing its popularity. The only downside was that the cream puffs had to be consumed by the end of the day, so they're not suitable for souvenirs. However, they were really delicious! The cream filling was larger than the bread, and the bread itself was moist. It had a subtle sweetness, making it easy to eat multiple. I also tried their red bean paste bun, which was also delicious. Personally, I prefer the cream puffs, so I highly recommend them. I will definitely buy them again when I'm in the area.

Around 2:00 PM on Saturday, there may be a line at this bakery in Hyogo, but I was able to purchase without waiting as each customer was served one by one. They specialize in takeout and accept various cashless payments, including Rakuten card for points. They provide free bags that securely hold the soft bread to prevent them from getting squished. This popular bakery, with a main store in Sonoda, Hyogo, has a total of 4 permanent locations and also participates in events. I found out through a review that they sell their products in Umeda, Osaka as well, so I bought the following items: Cream Pan (216 yen), Chocolate Cream Pan (248 yen), Caramel Cream Pan with burnt maple flavor (270 yen), Zenzai Anpan (226 yen), and Irie's Special Beef Curry Pan (270 yen). I intended to only buy a few Cream Pans, but ended up getting a total of 5 items for 1,230 yen. I paid with a gift certificate and coins. Their flagship product, the Cream Pan, sells over 1 million units annually and sometimes more than 3,000 units in a day, making it a phenomenal item that appeals to someone like me who loves popular things. The soft and moist dough is thin and mildly sweet, complementing the smooth and creamy filling. It is generously filled and heavy. The custard is milky and silky, tasting delicious with milk. When I let two others try it without any explanation, they were surprised, saying, "What is this? The cream is totally different!" and "It's like a dessert!" The Anpan and Curry Pan were also delicious. I wish I had checked out their bread loaves too. I plan to buy the fluffy Ring Donuts and Cinnamon Rolls next time. Thank you for the meal!

They are sometimes sold in the basement of Daimaru department store. There are long lines sometimes, but I was able to buy them right away today. I bought the Ille Cream Pan for 216 yen, Zenzai Anpan for 226 yen, and Burnt Maple Caramel Cream Pan (limited time only) for 270 yen. I tried the Caramel Cream Pan. The bread was soft and creamy, with a rich maple scent. It was very delicious.

As I was walking in front of the basement floor of Daimaru Umeda Department Store, I came across a bakery called Back House Irie selling bread. There was a line, but it wasn't too long, so I decided to wait. It had been a while since I last visited, so I bought two cream buns. I paid with my Daimaru Matsuzakaya membership card. When I got home, I tried the buns on my way back. The cream buns were just like always, but the ones from here are always delicious no matter when you eat them. As always, these cream buns I had are among the tastiest I've ever had.

Cream bread and red bean paste bread with sweet red bean paste obtained (^ ^) I had a memory of eating it in the past, but even though I didn't remember the taste, I bought it once! I warmed it in the microwave for 30 seconds and ate it! The bread has a fluffy and soft texture like cream bread, and the custard filling is not too sweet, but well balanced, maybe because it was warmed up! The sliced almonds were crispy, not just for decoration, which was great. The red bean paste bread also had a fluffy texture like cream bread, with chewy and smooth mochi and plenty of sweet red bean paste inside. It was delicious as expected!

Eat log 3.58, Back House Irie cream puff stand in Umeda. A bakery famous for its cream puffs. They sell them at the stand.
- Cream puff (189 yen) Soft and delicious with a good sweetness from the cream! It's handy for when you're a little hungry.
The bakery is located near the entrance of the Hankyu Umeda Department Store, in the "Gochisou Paradise" food floor. With its huge sign and multiple POP displays, it's hard to miss. The staff, a flamboyant man, mentioned that freshly baked goods had arrived from the factory, so I couldn't resist and joined the queue. I bought two cream buns and two sweet red bean buns. I brought them home and boasted to my family. They seemed delicious. We had them for dessert after dinner. They were a bit heavy for dessert, but we managed. First, the cream bun. It was still slightly warm, soft, and moist. In fact, it was too soft. It had a rich, sweet aroma on the surface. When I split it in half, a sweet cream scent wafted out. I couldn't resist. It was delicious! The soft bread was almost too delicate. The yellow cream had a liqueur-like scent. The cream was so soft it felt like you could drink it. The staff must have said to eat it today. Tomorrow, the bread and cream would surely harden. Next, the sweet red bean bun was also excellent. I warmed it up a bit in the oven. The bread was delicate and soft, just like the cream bun. It had poppy seeds on top. When I split it in half again, I saw that the red bean paste was not too much. Maybe a bit more would be nice? But there was also mochi in it. I see, red bean buns can be considered traditional Japanese sweets too. The smooth texture and mild sweetness were incredibly delicious. Both buns I bought that day were outstandingly tasty. My family was delighted, so I was relieved. There's a good reason why they're so popular. Thank you for the delicious treats.

This is a famous shop in Daimaru in Osaka known for their cream puffs. I heard that their cream puffs are delicious, so I decided to try them out. When purchasing a large quantity of cream puffs, they provide a divider board in the bag to prevent the pastries from getting crushed. The cream puffs themselves look quite ordinary on the outside. When I cut one in half, I found that the bread was thinner than expected, with a generous amount of cream filling inside. The cream had a nostalgic taste to it, not the trendy vanilla bean type. It had a traditional flavor that has been passed down through generations. The bread was soft and moist, making it very tasty. I would definitely purchase them again if given the chance. You can also check out snack_akemi's blog at the link below. Thank you!
