I recently visited the restaurant "美唄つぼ八" (Bibai Tsuboya) . I arrived late and couldn't order much, but they had a summer festival menu with items priced at 550 yen each. I tried a few dishes and they were decent for the price. Some were a bit expensive, some were cheap. Overall, it was a satisfactory meal. Thank you! ( ˊ̱˂˃ˋ̱ )

"Other than 'Bibai Yakitori,' the bar scene in Bibai City is very limited due to the declining population. 'Yakitori restaurants' are exclusively focused on 'Bibai Yakitori,' making me crave for 'kushiyaki.' This is where 'Tsubohachi' naturally comes into play. As a result, there seems to be little competition, leading to higher prices for 'nomihoudai' (all-you-can-drink) and noticeable differences in the quality of food compared to advertised. Each 'Tsubohachi' store is very different. Especially in regional areas, there is a wide range of variations among 'Tsubohachi' stores, with some offering unique and delicious menus, while even standard menus vary between individual stores. 'I love Tsubohachi.' Is this really the case for everyone in regional areas?"

If the purpose is to drink with colleagues or family, I used to think it's okay to split the bill and have a good time. When I went with my family to celebrate a birthday, the restaurant had moved to a new location and looked nice. The parking lot in front was full, so we had to park on the street nearby, which was not a no-parking zone. We sat in a private room, looked at the drink menu and food menu, and placed our orders. When the dishes arrived, I was shocked. They were small, lacked quantity, and the quality was unacceptable. The grilled dishes looked like they were made from leftover ingredients from a supermarket, cut into small pieces. It was laughable how bad the food was. It was not tasty, not delicious, and the portions were meager, yet the prices were high. The total bill exceeded 2,000 yen per person. If you don't like it, you can just choose not to go. Since then, I have refused to have parties at various Tsubohachi locations, even if someone else is the organizer. The TV commercials about Tsubohachi festivals are amusing. In one word: disappointing.
