The best bakery in Osaka, Goh no Pan, serves delicious pastries such as curry bread, Tanba black bean bread, croissants, and salt butter bread. I recommend buying them here and enjoying a picnic at Nagai Park. The owner trained in Italy, which explains the high quality of the pastries.

Today was Van Gogh Day, with a 20% discount on my favorite bread. But I ended up spending over 3000 yen (/o\) Each piece costs almost 300 yen, even with the discount, I feel like I splurged too much and regret it ( ω-、) When my tray was full, the staff quickly came over and exchanged it for a new one with a lovely smile (^.^) In the past, during discount days, the staff seemed stressed and irritable, but now everything seems nice. The curry bread is a popular choice and often freshly fried with plenty of meat inside, it's delicious. The cabbage croquette has a crunchy cabbage texture that goes well with the dressing. I couldn't resist and ended up buying two. The onion roll has a subtle curry flavor and pairs well with the onions and other ingredients, it's so tasty (´ρ`) The other sweet bread is mostly for my son. The apple quinie was gone by the next morning, he really enjoyed it. Should I give you a bite? Not at all. All the bread is delicious, but considering the prices, I need to restrain myself a bit, it's quite expensive (o´・ω・`o)

Today, we were discussing what to have for lunch and realized that we haven't had bread from Gogh recently. So, we decided to go to Gogh's bakery. The bakery is conveniently located right next to a parking lot, just a turn from the intersection with a traffic light. The place was crowded as usual. We looked for cabbage casquette, a sandwich we often enjoy here. It wasn't in the sandwich section, but freshly made ones were displayed soon after. We also picked up a hearty ham sandwich and a Sicilian lemon lemone, which looked delicious. For snacks, we got garlic France, keema curry, raw chocolate corn, and tomato bacon pizza. Back home, we sliced the cabbage casquette, ham sandwich, and lemon lemone in half to share. Both were delicious. We look forward to visiting again. Thank you for the meal. It was a Sunday morning, so a few customers were having their meals in the eat-in corner outside the bakery after purchasing bread and drinks. Enjoying the food right away is also a good idea.

Osaka's East Sumiyoshi Ward has a stone oven bread shop called Gogh Stone Oven, and just hearing about it makes you feel like it must be delicious and raises your expectations. But did you know that this shop not only sells bread, but also provides bakery production services? They offer training and support for those thinking of starting a bakery. Today's recommendation is the Takachiho Butter Roll. When I visited, I couldn't resist and ended up buying it. They also have a variety of other delicious options like baguettes. They even have new products coming out regularly, like a super long sausage bread and Baumkuchen. They also have pizza, so I wonder if they use the stone oven for that? I feel like a stone oven would make authentic pizza. I had an eat-in experience. They have tables and chairs set up along the road. I had coffee, Quattro Formaggi, and the Takachiho Butter Roll. Although I couldn't heat it up, it would have been even more delicious warm. The Quattro Formaggi had a nice salty flavor, and the dough was quite firm and chewy, with a lot of umami. The Butter Roll was soft and slightly sweet, delicious even without any spreads. They have a special "Gogh Day" each month with discounts, and this month it's on May 26th (Friday) with 20% off selected items. It must be nice for those who have such a cute shop nearby. I also saw some cute customers during my eat-in experience, like sparrows trying to snatch bread crumbs. They were so adorable! I wish they wouldn't be scared and come closer to peck at the crumbs.

I have bought things at a department store's local product exhibition over 3 years ago, but this is my first time visiting the store. It is located on the north side of Minato-suji Street along Nanko-dori, heading east from Nishitanabe Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji Line, just before the Nantanabe Nishi intersection. The store has a wide entrance! There are also terrace seats where you can enjoy your purchases outside, which is convenient. Inside the store, there is a wide variety of hard and soft bread from East. I bought Cranberry and White Chocolate Roll for ¥260, Roll Bread for ¥69, Onion Gratin for ¥213, King of Cream Bread for ¥190, Almond Chocolate Danish for ¥204, Mini Croissant for ¥65, Ring Donut for ¥93, and Chikuwa Isobe Roll for ¥153, totaling ¥1,247. With tax added, the total came to ¥1,356. The Cranberry and White Chocolate Roll, Cream Bread, and Chikuwa Isobe Roll were particularly good.

The curry bread was pretty good. It had chunks of meat in it which was nice. I also bought a fig and cream cheese bread, and a cranberry and white chocolate bread. They were some of the best hard breads I've ever had. Plus, they were only 260 yen each. The fact that they had benches and tables outside the store was great because I could eat them right away when I wanted to.

On 5/2 (Mon), I visited various bakeries in Hyogo and Osaka with a bakery owner from Himeji City. The 6th stop was "Gogh" in Higashi Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka City. This bakery is open from early morning until late in the evening. The selection of bread leans towards sweet varieties, such as cream bread, anpan, and melon bread. The melon bread, in particular, is very fluffy and delicious. They offer different types of melon bread, including a special "amazing" melon bread. I was intrigued by the name, so I decided to try it. They also have a variety of donuts, baguettes, and savory bread like chorizo and cheese bread. Despite the focus on sweet bread, they offer a good selection of savory options as well. I purchased the "King of Cream" and the "amazing" melon bread. On 5/9 (Mon) at lunchtime, I tried these breads. The "King of Cream" had a golden-brown brioche crust and a delicious homemade custard cream filling. The "amazing" melon bread stood out with its melon cream filling and melon-flavored biscuit crust. It was a delightful experience enjoying the real taste of melon.

Taste: ★★★★☆ Atmosphere: ★★★★☆ Presentation: ★★★☆ Service: ★★★★☆ I found this place while searching on Tabelog for a famous restaurant nearby. I went there on a weekday just before lunchtime and it was quite busy with customers coming in one after another. - Half-baked curry bread: It was so delicious. Even though it wasn't freshly made, the crispy texture, the taste of the bread, and the perfect balance of spiciness and mildness in the curry were just right. It might have been the best curry bread I've ever had in my life! I definitely want to try it again. - Salt butter bread: I had it fresh out of the oven and it was amazing. Fluffy, crispy, and oozing with the taste of butter, it was a moment of pure happiness. This one is best enjoyed when it's freshly made. - Croissant: A perfectly good croissant. It doesn't have any special flavor, just the taste of the bread itself. I personally found it a bit lacking on its own, but it might be great when paired with a side dish. Be careful though, it's so crispy that it crumbles a lot, so eating it can be a bit messy! - Cornflake cream bread: I bought this out of curiosity since it was my first time seeing it. The cream inside was delicious, and the crispy texture of the cornflakes added a nice harmony to it. You should definitely try this at least once!

After eating udon, I went to this place to buy bread and there were many varieties available. There was a stone oven anpan (165 yen) with plenty of red bean paste, a beef curry bread (220 yen) with lots of beef chunks in Van Gogh's homemade curry, a flake donut (180 yen) with custard cream inside and cornflakes on the surface, a morning bread (220 yen) with ham and egg on top, and a koala bread (110 yen) with chocolate cream. There were also hard breads, sandwich breads, pizza breads, and more. I never get tired of going there, and even though I mostly bought sweet breads, they were all delicious! My favorite was definitely the flake donut!

Nandaben's "Stone Oven Bread Shop Gogh". The entrance is on the right side, and the left side is for outdoor seating. There are many breads lined up, and they are all reasonably priced. Lately, bread prices have been high at many places... ★Agapan (kinako) 135 yen excluding tax ★Awaji onion roll 300 yen ★Chikuwa beach roll 153 yen ★Baguette (half) 121 yen ★Yudane mochi mochi toast 264 yen ★Coffee 65 yen Total including plastic bag 1091 yen You can get coffee for only 70 yen including tax! Take a break on the bench and table outside. Even though it's before noon, I couldn't resist and grabbed the beach roll. It has chikuwa inside, with nori and mayonnaise giving it a delicious aroma. The other breads were taken home and enjoyed, but they were all delicious (^-^) Especially the yam bread was moist and chewy, at a level that you wouldn't expect for this price!

I went cycling and visited a bakery! The first stop was Van Gogh, where they bake in a stone oven. You can also enjoy your treats at the outdoor terrace. This time, I had a freshly baked fluffy chocolate stick and a croissant at the terrace! The chocolate stick was filled with plenty of chocolate and was perfect for a snack. The croissant was crispy with custard cream freshly added inside! The combination of crispy and cool cream was exquisite! I definitely want to eat this again! The ring donut was soft and the edamame cheese had a generous amount of cheese, which was delicious!

Finally made it to the store. The interior is spacious with a lot of displays. I started by looking around from one end to the other, and it was so hard to decide what to get. My daughter makes decisions quickly. She points out things to me like "How about this?" or "Look at this!" I totally missed it, but they had croissants displayed that looked so crispy, and when you take it to the counter, the staff fills it with fresh cream on the spot! What a service! I wanted to try it, but I'm gaining weight so I held back. There were many tempting bread options, and they all looked delicious, but the prices seemed a bit high. - Pork belly sausage: Tastes as expected - Teriyaki chicken and burdock salad: Too much burdock - Long sausage (half) - Plenty of cabbage choucroute: Just tasted like cabbage There were many other items I wanted to try, so to the breads that didn't make the cut this time, I'll come back for you.

Every Monday is a regular holiday, and this month's Van Gogh Day (20% off) falls on the next day, Tuesday (February 28th). There was a sign on the door saying "Today is Van Gogh Day," and someone mistakenly came thinking that they were open on their day off. It would have been better to put up the sign at opening time, rather than ahead of time. My son's favorite maple-flavored bread was no longer available, as it was discontinued due to high costs and low profits. Instead, they had cube-shaped rusk-like bread, which didn't seem very appealing. I tried a bread topped with plenty of edamame and cheese, but the combination didn't work for me. There were two types of French bread, one chewy and one crispy, and the half size option was convenient for those who couldn't finish a whole loaf. The onion roll had a satisfying crunch and was addictive. The cabbage cascaroute with ham, mayonnaise, and French dressing on fluffy bread was delicious. The apple quinie might be tasty the next morning, but I couldn't bring myself to eat it. The curry bread was a popular choice, with everyone buying it as soon as it was ready.

I wanted something sweet, so I went to this shop. They had Kouign-Amann - I couldn't resist! I also got a maple pastry. I paid at the counter and was about to put them in my bag when I noticed the maple pastry was warm - freshly baked! I couldn't wait to eat it. The maple pastry was so fluffy. The maple had soaked into the layers, giving it a fresh taste. The apple Kouign-Amann had a crispy Danish texture with a caramel crunch. This shop also had delicious savory bread. Thank you for the meal.

The bakery near my house that I often buy bread from. Today, the weather was nice, so I decided to eat in. I had the Onion Gratin for 213 yen + tax and the Croquette Coppe for 190 yen + tax. I also bought a canned coffee from the vending machine next to me. Among the female customers, there was an elderly man sitting alone. The bread, baked in a stone oven, was fragrant and delicious. I also bought the Hot Dog for 352 yen + tax and the Cheeseburger for 334 yen + tax to take home and enjoy with beer. Thank you for the meal.

After enjoying delicious udon, I came to this bakery the next morning in search of breakfast. They have outdoor terrace seating as well, which is nice. I decided to purchase the following 4 types of bread after looking at the various options on display: - Beef Goro Goro Curry Bun (204 yen): This bun is filled with plenty of chunky beef, which is tender and luxurious. It is also packed with lots of curry, making it quite hearty. - King of Cream (190 yen): This cream bun gives off a pretty standard impression. It is moist and creamy, not overly sweet, just a delicious cream bun. - Mushroom Gratin (241 yen): This bread is filled with plenty of shimeji mushrooms in bechamel sauce. It's a great option for breakfast, but also seems like it would pair well with wine. - Almond Chocolate Danish (204 yen): This bread has a stick of chocolate inside. The outer layer is flaky, and when chilled, the chocolate hardens nicely, providing a satisfying texture. It was raining that day, and it seems they offer discount coupons on rainy days. Thank you for the meal!

Yay! I got some souvenirs from a new bakery (*^^*). I eagerly take them out of the bag. Oh! They didn't forget my favorite curry bread! There are a lot of hard breads! The Cranberry Nut Bread (204 yen excluding tax) is delicious! It's my favorite type! It has cream cheese in it, so it's complete with just this one. The Cheese Couque (278 yen) has several types of cheese in it, and the salty taste of cheese makes it perfect as a snack! The Black Bean and Chestnut Cushion Bread has a lovely name! I love black beans and chestnuts! The flavor, deliciousness, and sweetness of the beans and chestnuts as you chew on the bread is irresistible! Now for breakfast, I have the warmed curry bread (204 yen) and the teriyaki chicken bread (204 yen). The paper bag had "chunks of beef" written on it, but the receipt said "Keema curry." When I asked my husband, he said it's Keema curry with a soft-boiled egg. It's a bit spicy and doesn't have much sweetness, giving it an authentic feel. The soft egg makes it creamy. The teriyaki chicken is a classic choice. Mayonnaise and teriyaki sauce are a perfect match. The prices are reasonable, and it seems like a bakery where you can't go wrong. Thank you for the meal.

The nearby bakery has a "Van Gogh Day" around the middle of the month, which was on the 27th this month. On Van Gogh Day, there is a 20% discount, which is great. I arrived around 10:30 and it wasn't too crowded, so I could choose slowly. I always buy two Croustades with cabbage, which have a crunchy texture and make me feel like I'm eating vegetables. They also have long French bread in half sizes, so you can finish it before getting tired of it. The curry bread is popular and sells out quickly, but if you wait for about 5 minutes, you can get a freshly fried one. They have a variety of bread, with descriptions to help you choose. Some are expensive, but they must be delicious. Thank you for always providing delicious bread.

On the 25th, it was Van Gogh Day (sometimes held around this date)! Some items are 20% off, except for drinks and jam. I visited after a while and noticed that prices have gone up a bit. I came in specifically for the curry bun I enjoyed before, but they were sold out! However, freshly fried ones came out, so I decided to eat there instead of taking it out. I also bought a maple round, a kouign amann, and a croque damande, all at 20% off. It was around 10:30, the weather was nice, and the sunlight was strong, making the outdoor seating area quite hot. It wasn't too crowded, and it was easy to use. Many customers with small children were getting takeout. First, the curry bun with beef was crispy and delicious, with a generous amount of beef filling. The bread was firm, but the filling was gooey, making it a bit messy to eat. Next was the croque damande, with a crunchy cookie top and a flaky croissant, creating a delightful texture and taste. Lastly, the kouign amann had custard inside, a crispy caramelized top, and apple slices on top, providing a unique flavor experience. Be careful, as it can be messy to eat. The maple round was enjoyed by the whole family the next day, with a good amount of maple flavor and a non-sticky texture. Despite the distance from my home, I would like to visit this shop again.

Stone oven-baked delicious breads♪ A variety of famous breads lined up with a rich assortment of options! The crispy and crunchy texture, as well as the harmony, are wonderfully delightful☆ Located near the station, this bakery rivals the quality of the top 100 bakeries in the area! (It's a mystery why this place is not listed as one of the top 100 bakeries... haha) While there may be a lack of consistency in the overall feel, the wide variety of options is impressive. With so many recommended items, it's hard to narrow down to just one favorite, making it a bit challenging. (Although the exterior signage gives off a German vibe, the breads inside are mostly delicious Japanese-style pastries, right?) Every bread is so delicious that you end up feeling satisfied after eating (you just want to keep the taste in your heart... that kind of feeling, haha). In fact, the local reputation is such that people think, "Of course the bread is delicious, it's a bakery!" and this standard has become established, so it's understandable that the popularity may not have spread beyond the neighborhood... makes sense. [Access] About a 7-8 minute walk straight from Nishitanabe Subway Station. Also about a 7-8 minute walk from JR Minamitanabe Station, so it's about the same distance on foot. (In terms of travel time, it seems like a walk, but in reality, the distance is short enough to feel "close to the station".) [Purchase] ・Mentaiko France Plenty of mentaiko spread inside, with a perfect match of crispy texture and mentaiko! (Personally, one of my favorite items) ・Beef Chunky Curry Bun A crunchy and exquisite curry bun with beef chunks that fall apart enough to provide a sufficient amount. (Not chunky, but still delicious) ・Melon Pan Good texture in one bite! And then a fluffy feeling, or shall we say, a soft feeling haha. In any case, it's delicious. ・Shimauta Chorizo A wonderful harmony of plump sausages and dairy products. ・Cream Pan It's hard to say if it's ultimate or exquisite, but cream pan is a type of bread where personal preference plays a big role... It's delicious, but it's not something to be compared with other bakeries. This should be enjoyed for what it is. ・Morning Bread Just as it looks! A ham and egg bread haha. Try it and see. [Additional Information] I heard through the grapevine that some apprentices have become bakery owners at the top 100 bakeries after branching out... so it seems that this place places a strong emphasis on educating and training bread artisans... just a little tidbit I overheard? [Rating] The taste is definitely above 4 stars! The texture and flavor of each bread baked in the stone oven are superb in one word! You can also enjoy the bread purchased in the cafe space of the shop, which has a nice atmosphere. (You can also buy coffee!) The prices are in a wide range, and considering the quality of the ingredients, the cost performance is appropriate. The customer service is similar to that of an average bakery, with an average rating of 3.85 across various aspects. Rounding up, let's give it a 3.9 rating! It may not reach 4 stars, but the taste and texture are undeniably delicious and wonderful. While it may seem a bit of a waste to compare it to an ordinary bakery at first glance, it's still a good bakery. Those who love stone oven-baked bread will definitely love it. Access-wise, it's a bit off the mark from the loop line area due to being located in Higashi Sumiyoshi Ward... you may have to walk a bit further, but it's still not far from the station. The rating is not low at 3.59, but since it's a good bakery, I highly recommend visiting it as one of the must-visit bakeries!! P.S. The visit was made in the "evening" for sure. The exterior photos were taken at dusk. I had the bread for dinner instead of a proper meal, so I'm referring to it as "evening" haha.
