I went to a carefully selected gourmet shop. First of all, they used to focus on ○● beef in the past, but it seems that the number of cattle has decreased, so now they are using various types of black beef from Kyushu. The restaurant has private rooms, and there are many autographed boards in the waiting area, possibly because it is close to a TV station. When you are escorted to your room, the staff will hang your coat or jacket on a hanger, showing great attention to detail. I thought it was a yakiniku restaurant, but surprisingly, the main menu consists of various cuts of steak, such as "Hane-shita," "Marushin," and "Ochibo," which are quite popular and may sell out depending on the time. I ordered Marushin and Hane-shita steaks, as well as the classic raw liver, Yukhoe, and the original Makgeolli "Tora." The Makgeolli, raw liver, and Yukhoe arrived, so I started with a glass. "Tora" is a Makgeolli made in Fukushima, a famous rice-producing area, with an alcohol content of 8-9%, making it a slightly stronger Makgeolli. It was slightly dry, somewhat sweet, and delicious. The Yukhoe was served with a sweet sauce, and the fresh meat melted in my mouth, making it incredibly tasty. While enjoying these, the main dishes arrived. The staff carefully grilled the steaks on the charcoal grill in the center of the table and then cut them into bite-sized pieces. You can season them with Sicilian salt, rock salt, matcha salt, garlic, and wasabi according to your preference. The Marushin steak was delicious and tender, especially appealing to me, as I love the meat from the buttocks and thighs. The Hane-shita was also delicious and satisfying. However, what surprised me the most was the "Tsurami." It was incredibly tasty. The Shimacho and heart, as well as the sweet special sauce, were also quite enjoyable. In the end, I ordered two bottles of "Tora" and one bottle of regular Makgeolli, which was served in a unique way with a turtle-shaped vessel and a ladle for scooping. The "Tora" was not listed on the menu (or I couldn't find it), and it was not priced, but I found out from the receipt that it was 2,800 yen per bottle. So if you don't drink too much alcohol, you can stay within 10,000 yen per person.
