The name of the shop is derived from the god of sweets, Hiji-koka-ga, which means "non-time fragrant sweets." True to its name, the shop combines a subtle Japanese taste with finger-sized convenience, presenting beautifully colored and shaped desserts like the main confection at a tea ceremony. By the way, in Wakayama's Tanabe City, you can also enjoy these sweets at the cafeeteria ipe wakayama "wayori." This special collaboration uses local Wakayama ingredients. The monthly sweets buffet is a special event held once a month, and this December marks the third time! Indulge in all-you-can-eat cakes that are usually sold at the shop - it's a luxurious and popular event. Despite their small size, the cakes are meticulously crafted with unique combinations of ingredients and flavors! The imaginative naming sense is also impressive. The "Chitose" with matcha, black sesame, and milk chocolate, the "Essenza" with cassis, lemon, and walnuts, the "Marquis" with cream cheese and hazelnuts, etc... The cake labeled "Conte" in the showcase, which had flavors different from the description, seemed to be the "Patata" when I checked past Instagram posts. It was delicious, but I preferred the flavors of the "Conte" - a little disappointing. The classic "Opera" with rum and Kahlua offers a mature taste, while the "Tarte Tatin" with pie crust and caramelized red apple maintains its traditional style. The "Today's sweet" features a luscious sweet potato caramelized with vanilla ice cream on top - a simple yet best dessert. Drinks also include hot chocolate for a cozy touch. The olive palate cleanser was also good. I attended with friends, and we were all very pleased and satisfied. My friend's son particularly enjoyed the strawberry Crostata! Lastly, we received chocolates as souvenirs and were sent off by the owner. The impeccable service made me not realize that it was the owner himself who devised these sweets. Coming up with such elaborate menus and providing smart customer service, it's no wonder this place is so popular!

I walked back to the southwest and around 14:40, I saw a sign that said you can eat at this restaurant. Even though it was not very crowded, there were about 7 men standing in line at the counter. They seemed hesitant to order, maybe they were choosing what to get. Eventually, I placed my order after waiting for about 5 minutes. I chose the recommended Kagunomi and Mont Blanc based on my preferences, paid 760 yen with a card, and headed back home. I enjoyed the Mont Blanc with its slightly sour cream and the Kagunomi with its sour but delicious filling.

Kagunomi Orange Wine Finger Sweets is a shop that offers small-sized Western sweets and alcohol for casual enjoyment, inspired by Italian food culture. The Kagunomi dessert, named after the shop, has a citrus flavor with a yellow powder coating on the surface that is familiar and appealing. It reminds me of traditional Japanese snacks, which I found to be a positive aspect of the taste.

There is a cake shop located right near Nishiohashi Station. They also have an eat-in space. The showcase was full of cute mini cakes. Since it was very hot the day I went, I had the summer limited ice cream in the eat-in space. I tried the asparagus ice cream and corn ice cream. The vegetable flavors were rich and delicious. There were many other vegetable-based ice creams that I would like to try. Next time, I want to go buy some fresh cakes.

The shop is open until late at night, and I happened to stop by after finishing my drinks. The cakes were very small, which was perfect for a post-meal dessert! Despite their size, each cake had a completely different flavor and was very delicious. It's a very stylish shop, and I would like to visit again during a busier time to try more of their offerings!

I used it for eat-in. There are many types of cakes, all of which look interesting~ I chose the Kashimia with a tangy accent and the eye-catching yellow Kagunomi. The eat-in space has about 8 seats, with a simple counter and round chairs. They served each cake on a plate. The Kagunomi has meringue, orange, and milk chocolate crunch. The inside has a texture like cream, but it's actually meringue. In the center, there is something like orange jam. The bottom has a crunchy chocolate texture. I ended up eating the yellow ball with a fork, but it's better to eat it in one bite. It's a bit big for one bite, so it might be better to eat it at home. The Kashimia has cassis and chestnut. The top has cassis mousse, and the bottom has a dense sponge-like chestnut. I couldn't taste much of the chestnut, but I like cassis, so this was good too. I wonder if the iced tea has sugar in it, I preferred it straight. I'm interested in trying other cakes, so next time I'll have a bite at home. Thank you for the meal.

The shop in the town looked cute and when I entered, the small size, colors, and shapes of the cakes displayed were fresh and delightful. Among the 15 varieties available, I chose pistachio and Mont Blanc cakes. The Mont Blanc cake had a strong rum flavor, which was delicious and suited for adults. The pistachio cake was rich and seemed like it would pair well with alcohol too! Since the shop also offers champagne, I would like to try pairing it with alcohol next time.

✏️What I Ate: Strawberry Tart, Citrus Meringue with Chocolate Crunch, Sweet Potato Mousse with Chestnut Cake, Cafe Latte ✏️Cost: 1600 yen ✏️Notes: A delightful cake shop where you can enjoy a variety of small-sized cakes. Not only visually appealing, but each cake is well-crafted and delicious! When I visited around 5 pm on Saturday, most of the cakes were almost sold out. It seems better to go earlier in the day. They also have occasional buffets, so I would love to visit again sometime. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Assorted sweets. The butter cookies were really delicious! They were crumbly and just the right amount of sweetness, I really liked them! However, the chocolate financiers were dry and lacking in flavor, so it was disappointing. The roasted green tea flavor was good, with a nice tea taste, but I prefer it to be more moist and buttery.

There is a Western-style confectionery shop in Shinmachi that also offers seating to eat in. The cakes are small but have a luxurious feel to them. They are a good size for a bite and are reasonably priced at around 300 to 400 yen each, making them perfect for gifts. I bought a variety of cakes and enjoyed chatting over tea. It was a delightful experience. Thank you for the meal.

(^-^)The interior of the store had a simple and stylish atmosphere. Not only could you eat in, but the drink menu also included alcohol. The cakes were not bite-sized, but very small! However, they were beautiful and cute♪ I wondered if it was all about the appearance, but when I tried them, they were all quite delicious. The chocolate was rich as well. So, I felt like I wanted to eat them in a 1.5 times larger size. The price of around 350 yen for this size seems a bit high, but it's good for those who want to try various types♪

A cake shop located just a short walk northeast from Nishi-Ohashi Station. I had been curious about this place because they have a variety of petit gateaux. Surprisingly, the shop has been around for about five years. I visited on a Saturday around lunchtime. There was only one other customer eating in, while most seemed to be getting their cakes to go. They had a selection of cute-sized cakes, with 18 different types priced between 300 to 400 yen each. If you buy three, it will cost over 1000 yen, but indulging in a little bit of each is a luxury, so it's worth it. I ordered their signature Kagunomi, the Fig Tart of the day, and the Pistachio cake, along with iced tea. The seating area had only counter seats at high tables, so it wasn't the most relaxing, but it was still comfortable. My favorite was the Fig Tart, with fresh figs and a crispy thin crust paired with a moist part that was delicious. The crispy layer was impressively thin compared to other tarts. You can choose from three types of figs, and I chose the middle one. The Pistachio cake was rich with hazelnuts and had an interesting chestnut liqueur flavor. The Kagunomi, despite the shop's name, was a bit bland for my taste, although the nutty bottom part was tasty. Overall, being able to try various types of cakes is a great thing.

It's Golden Week and the weather is clear, so I decided to go out and enjoy the roses at Jingu Park by riding my bike. The roses were still mostly in bud, but walking in the soft sunlight surrounded by the scent of roses made me feel happy. The sight of children playing in the fountain was so heartwarming! While I felt satisfied enjoying the beautiful roses, my wife seemed to still have some room in her heart. So, we headed to a cute little cake shop called "Kagunomidou" to fill that gap with something sweet. It took us about 10 minutes to ride our bikes to the shop. Luckily, we managed to secure two seats at the counter just as a pair of girls left. We chose some adorable cakes from the display case and ordered drinks. Since my wife can't have caffeine, she asked if they had decaf, and to our surprise, they had decaf tea! I ordered an iced coffee for myself. We waited at the counter, and our cakes and drinks arrived promptly. We chose four types of cakes: Whapaco Crostata, Montebianco, Pistachio, and Staccio. As usual, we split them in half. Despite their small size, the cakes were well-made and delicious. The iced coffee was average, but my wife said the decaf was so good it almost tasted like regular coffee. I thought that receiving such small and cute cakes as a gift would make someone happy. I would like to use them as a souvenir for some occasion in the future. Thank you for the meal.

Exploring pastry shops in the Yotsuhashi area. This shop has a stylish, atelier-like interior, small cakes that look like jewelry accessories, and beautiful storefront, interior design, and lighting. The cakes are like those you would find on a French restaurant's dessert cart or an afternoon tea plate. There are about 20 varieties of cakes, each priced at a little over 300 yen, which is a bit on the higher side considering the size. I bought six cakes. Although they are small, they are quite sweet. One cake may not be enough, but two might be a bit too much. Overall, the cakes were not only visually appealing but also delicious.

I had known about this place for a while, but it was my first time visiting. I didn't realize they had an eat-in option and also served alcoholic drinks, so I decided to eat in. It was after lunch, so I had a grappa as well. The size of the food makes you want more after just one bite, and the grappa was delicious too. I ended up getting all the varieties to go and shared some with my friends. With the size, appearance, and of course the taste, it's sure to be appreciated. It has become a favorite spot that I will definitely visit again.

I'm so happy to finally try the small and cute mini cakes from this shop that I've been curious about for a while. Each cake is about two bites in size, but the decorations are very delicate. The flavors and combinations of the cake batter, cream, and fillings are all well thought out and delicious! The baked goods were also great.

【Kagunomido】... It sparkles like a jewelry box♪ It is a very cute size (#^.^#) Located a short walk from Nishiohashi Station in Osaka, it is a sweets shop (*^^)v The exterior is a refreshing blue (^o^) Inside the store is a bright and clean space! (^^)! During the pandemic, it is important to check if the precious eat-in space is open or not. In the back of the store, a young and handsome pastry chef carefully makes sweets. The showcase is beautifully lined with cute sparkling cakes. Since I have visited many times before, I chose 9 types while recalling my preferences. There is also the fun of choosing from a variety of seasonal fruits, new and classic items♪ It is sure to be appreciated as a souvenir or gift. I look forward to visiting again at the right timing♪ (≧▽≦)/~♡

August 2021. To Kagunomidou. I heard that they have a variety of bite-sized visually appealing sweets. I was expecting something similar to my favorite "Obonvuutan" Petit Foul Friendies, but looking at the lineup, it seems more like fancy cakes made a bit smaller, with interesting ingredient combinations. This time, I purchased the following 6 types: - Nonna 350 yen - Conté 380 yen - Piggly 320 yen - Marle 330 yen - Kagunomi 330 yen - Nero 320 yen I tried them at home right away. They are the perfect size for one bite, but maybe two bites would be best. I thought I would prefer Piggly and Marle since I like pistachio, peach, and plum, but I might have actually liked Nonna and Conté more. These would go well with wine. They look good visually and would make a great gift, so I plan to try different types next time. Thank you for the meal!
