The day I made the reservation, it rained heavily, and there was quite a bad leak. It was difficult to go get drinks in the rain. The taste was good, but it felt a bit lacking. I was looking forward to enjoying roasted marshmallows, but they didn't turn out well...

I used this place for the first time at a networking event. It’s a rare restaurant in the heart of Sakae where you can enjoy authentic BBQ, and everyone had a fun time together. The only downside was that since it was a tent-style BBQ, it got really hot with the heat from the grill. Thank you for the meal!

In the lively drinking district of Sakae 4-chome, I was walking with two former subordinates when we stumbled upon UP CAMP. Since it looked interesting, we decided to give it a try. Although we hadn't made a reservation, it was a relatively early time, and fortunately, two out of the eight tables were available. The staff quickly prepared a table for us—thank you to the friendly staff! We opted for the light course at 4,380 yen, which includes a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option. We started with some beer, and from the second drink onward, we went to the counter to order. The meal featured five types of meat and three types of vegetables. The chicken was seasoned with basil salt, so there was no need for dipping sauces. They explained things like this clearly, which was nice. Overall, it was quite enjoyable and felt like we were at a campsite. It’s a perfect way to unwind, especially with the refreshing weather of autumn. The food was delicious as well. I’m glad I found such a great place! My former subordinates are saying they want to come back again. I’m a bit envious; it’s not as easy for me to return. Thank you for the meal!

Having a BBQ in the middle of Nagoya is amazing! The oysters are all-you-can-eat. I think there's a specific season for them, but the ones we had were on the smaller side. I forgot to take a picture, but we also ordered some meat separately. The meat was wild and had an overseas feel to it, which was great for a BBQ. It felt like we were camping even though we were in the city, and I had a lot of fun. I want to go back again! 😊

I visited a BBQ restaurant in Sakae. During this time, they were offering an all-you-can-eat oyster special. The interior had a tent-like atmosphere, with camping chairs and low grills. There was a timer for the oysters, making it easy for beginners to grill them perfectly. Drinks were available for unlimited refills by exchanging glasses at the entrance with the staff.

After finishing my business trip, I went to check out a place my senior colleague was curious about. When we arrived, I saw the words "All-you-can-eat oysters." Is this an oyster shack? Hesitantly, I entered, and it looked like a space similar to a vinyl house. There was a stove lit, and it felt warm inside. There were barbecue grills and benches lined up, creating a strange atmosphere that felt like an indoor barbecue. Since I was there, I decided to try the all-you-can-eat oyster course with the drink-all-you-want option, and it was still under 5,000 yen. The drinks were self-service; you had to go to the counter to order and bring them back to your seat yourself. The course included several appetizers, and then oysters were served in trays. Once you finished the tray, you would get another one. Running such a style of business in the city must be quite challenging, but it definitely stands out from other places (you wouldn't normally find such a thing in Nagoya), and if it gets popular, it could become quite a phenomenon. *Apologies if it's already popular! I just ate grilled oysters endlessly, drank a lot, and left completely satisfied and full!

It's great that you can have a barbecue right in the heart of Sakae. Not having to deal with bothersome fire starting and cleanup is quite appealing. I ordered a course and the meat was delicious! However, the amount in the cheapest course wasn't enough for me. I recommend opting for a different course or getting additional servings.

I explored beer gardens in Nagoya and found a unique one, so I decided to check it out! I ordered a course for 4,980 yen that included both meat and seafood. All the dishes were served at once, and we could help ourselves to drinks at the counter. The restaurant isn't very big, so the seating felt quite cramped. Depending on the location, it might be a bit challenging to get to the drink station. The atmosphere and the food had a camping vibe, which made for an enjoyable drinking experience.

I didn't want to go to a crowded beer garden, so I decided to visit this place since the reviews were good and they offered seafood at a reasonable price. The food was delicious and served in just the right portions. They took care of starting the fire, and you only had to go get your drinks. Although it rained today and there was quite a bit of fog, the covered area kept us dry. Seats with just a fan can get quite hot, so I recommend bringing a small fan! The restrooms were clean too, which was nice. It really feels like camping in the city!

I used to think BBQ was more about enjoying the atmosphere than the quality of the food, but everything here was delicious! The meat didn't get tough when grilled, and there were so many varieties at a reasonable price, which I really appreciated! The ambiance was stylish and very nice too (*^^*). It was easy to go there without having to bring anything, and they even started the fire for us, so it was super convenient! I want to go again! ♬.*゚

I visited a stylish outdoor BBQ beer garden restaurant that opened this July, just a three-minute walk from Sakae Station, with my friends after the heat started to ease a bit. The interior has a resort-style relaxing atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy a real camping vibe right in the city. They offer three all-you-can-drink courses, along with a rich a la carte menu. We chose the most affordable course this time. 【All-You-Can-Drink 90-Minute Course: 3,980 yen】 ◆ Harami Steak "UPCAMP Steak" ◆ Sea Snail ◆ Large Clams ◆ Butter Grilled Scallops ◆ Bone-In Chicken Thigh ◆ Candy Sausages ◆ Grilled Tomatoes with Sennyu Oysters and Cheese ◆ Corn ◆ Zucchini Skewers ◆ King Oyster Mushrooms ◆ Marshmallows ◇ 90-minute all-you-can-drink (including Draft Beer) ◆ Basil Pasta (825 yen) ◆ Crispy Potatoes (418 yen) ◆ Mango Parfait (800 yen) The course features a variety of fresh ingredients cooked over charcoal on dedicated grills, with plenty of seafood and hearty bone-in chicken. The UPCAMP steak, made from carefully selected harami, is low in calories but packed with flavor, and its tenderness makes it the standout dish in the course. The grilled tomatoes with Sennyu oysters and cheese also had a rich taste that I love, while the basil pasta was a high-quality dish made with fresh pasta. It was nice to receive a complimentary dish for following their Instagram as well. We enjoyed drinking freely, especially the draft beer, and had a great time in an open, carefree camping atmosphere. As a beer garden lover, I really enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal!

You can enjoy both meat and seafood in a casual izakaya-like atmosphere while camping. This place just opened in July, so it's really clean! It's only a 5-minute walk from Sakae! You can easily enjoy BBQ in a stylish container house. There are great BBQ courses with all-you-can-drink options, and you can also casually stop by just for a serving of shaved ice. Once you step inside the restaurant, you completely forget that you are in the heart of Sakae. The vibe is like you're on a camping trip, which is so relaxing. On this visit, I ordered the BBQ course with all-you-can-drink for 3,980 yen. There was plenty of both meat and seafood! The meat and seafood looked so fresh and were appealingly presented. The portions were impressive. Grilling over charcoal made everything even more delicious. There were large servings of both beef and chicken, which we cut into big pieces with scissors. The scallops were huge! Eating them with a pat of butter on top was the best. I also ordered some a la carte items like fries and pasta, and I particularly loved the Genovese pasta; it was so good that I would go just for that even if I didn’t want to BBQ. It might even be nice to drop by alone for a casual meal. It’s also fine in rainy weather, so I think I’ll enjoy it even more in the cooler seasons coming up. It was a lot of fun to share the camping vibe with friends. I definitely want to go again!

■UP CAMP■ I went to [Up Camp] in Sakae, Nakaku, Nagoya, where you can enjoy BBQ right in the heart of the city with friends. As complete beginners in camping and not very experienced with BBQ either, it was great that we could enjoy it without having to bring anything ourselves. The atmosphere was very open, lit only by lanterns outdoors✨. We kicked things off with a toast of champagne right after arriving, and the vibe of sipping champagne in this setting was just fabulous, making it even more enjoyable! We opted for the 【All-you-can-eat and drink 6000 yen course】. The meat selection included tender cuts of beef, Nagoya Cochin skewers, BBQ skewers, and spiral sausages. For seafood, there were items like shellfish, scallops, squid, large clams, and oysters. As for side dishes, we indulged in garlic shrimp, pasta, garlic chicken gizzards, and to finish, a special chicken wing curry. We also wanted to roast marshmallows, which is a camp classic, but we were too full to manage it this time. We'll definitely try that next time! During my first visit, I really enjoyed the camp vibe. With the ability to reserve regardless of the weather, no need for cleanup after, and big cooling fans to beat the heat, it was an ideal setting for BBQ beginners. Thank you for the lovely meal! ☺︎꒡̈⃝⌄̈⃝¨̮ □ Address: 4-15-8 Sakae, Nakaku, Nagoya

The price is reasonable, and the atmosphere has a nice BBQ vibe. However, with the glass exchange system where you rinse the glass with tap water and then pour the beer into it, the beer starts to get warm after the second glass, which is disappointing.
