When I was young, I got hooked on traveling in Asia and visited Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, and many other places ♡ I can't forget the national dishes I ate there ( ´ڡ`* ) Since I couldn't go to India and Sri Lanka, I definitely want to go there someday and have authentic curry! There are many multinational cuisine restaurants in Osaka, but one popular place is "Asian Dining Chouku," where the owner, who has traveled to various Asian countries like Thailand, India, and Malaysia, offers delicious dishes without any alterations! The interior of the restaurant resembles a bustling eatery in Bangkok, with nostalgic knick-knacks and seasonings scattered around. Today's Malaysian dish is a set meal from Penang, Malaysia, prepared by Indian Muslim residents. The meal includes stir-fried vegetables, boiled vegetables, jasmine rice, a main dish cooked with spices (fish on this day), a mix of vegetables, fruits, coconut, and lime called "kerabu," and dessert with banana. Unlike Sri Lankan cuisine, you don't mix everything together but eat each side dish separately with rice. The fish had many bones, making it a challenge for my partner ( ˊᵕˋ ;) I opted for healthy South Indian cuisine. The "Meals" set included sambar (main vegetable stew), dal (classic lentil soup), poriyal (flavored sautéed vegetables), achaar (spicy pickles), jasmine rice, raita (cucumber and onion yogurt), and dessert with banana. The mini chai that came with the set on weekdays was delicious. The portions were a bit small, but the taste was authentic, without any unnecessary Japanese-style modifications, and it was delicious! The service was very polite, and it was a happy lunchtime. The dinner menu written on the blackboard was also enticing. I would like to visit for dinner next time. Thank you for the meal! (*´▽`人)
