On this day, I had the tonkatsu set meal here from 11 o'clock, and then went to another place for ramen. You can park your bike in front of the store if there is space for about one bike. This place has been selected as one of the top 100 restaurants, and they start preparing the order by pounding the meat and coating it with batter before deep-frying it, which takes about 20 minutes until it is served. The crispy batter doesn't feel greasy. The fillet meat has very little fat, so it's good for those who don't like greasy food. However, in terms of flavor, it may be a bit too bland. Today's special set meal was chicken katsu and fillet katsu topped with grated daikon radish. Both had very little fat, which was slightly different from my preference. The quality of the food is definitely top-notch, so I recommend this place. But it may not be suitable for those who prefer heavy, greasy food.

"Tontatsu Jozan" visited a famous restaurant in Ibaraki for the first time ☺️ Tried the "Thick-cut Pork Loin Cutlet Set" and it was cooked perfectly with a slight medium rare feel. The meat was tender and the coating was incredibly crispy. It tasted delicious when combined with the sauce. The recommended salt from the restaurant took the flavor to another level. Tonkatsu Hyakumeiten 2022 Selected as the 90th out of 100 nationwide on Tabelog Overall rating of 3.59 Visited on September 10, 2023, Sunday, at 5:30 PM Ordered Items: - Thick-cut Hirekatsu Set (140g) - 1,650 yen - Special Hirekatsu Set (170g) - 2,200 yen - Ebi Fry - 550 yen - Hotate Fry - 440 yen Made a reservation by phone the day before and arrived at the restaurant at 5:25 PM, five minutes before the opening time. Surprisingly, there were many people waiting in the pouring rain! Upon opening, there were only two reserved groups, including us, while the rest of the customers were walk-ins, and the restaurant was quickly filled up. We were seated at a table for two and ordered the above menu items. After a short wait, the food was served. The frying was done well, with a brown color on the coating. However, the Hirekatsu had a slight pinkness towards the center, indicating it was cooked just right. The taste was decent, considering the price, but we didn't feel the sweetness of marbled pork fat like in branded pork. The meat texture was tender and felt of good quality for the price. Now, onto the main attraction, the Special Hirekatsu! Having visited many Tonkatsu Hyakumeiten restaurants, we were puzzled by the unique texture of the Hirekatsu. It was soft, almost crumbly, unlike the usual elastic tenderness of pork meat. And incredibly juicy... We've never experienced such juiciness in a Hirekatsu before. It felt more watery than meaty... Due to this, the coating also became soggy on the bottom. Soft! Juicy! It might be described as such, but it felt different. Perhaps a regular Hirekatsu would have sufficed. The Ebi Fry and Hotate we added as toppings were delicious. The service was attentive and polite, with a staff of four managing the restaurant.

Delicious tonkatsu that can be enjoyed in Ibuki. The restaurant has a cozy and chic atmosphere, although the space is not very large. I ordered the daily lunch special, which was thick-cut pork loin cutlet on this day. The lunch set came with free extra rice. The meat was moist and tender. Although there is sauce available, it tastes even better when eaten with the special salt seasoning! The portion size was generous and the cost performance was great! I was very satisfied!

I had the daily lunch special (pork cutlet and chicken cutlet) during a business trip. Personally, I felt that overall it was a bit thin. Considering it cost over 1,200 yen, I expected it to be thicker, and I wish they had provided salt without additional charge. I probably won't visit again... Sorry about that. Thank you for the meal!

In Nancutsumi, there is a restaurant listed in the gourmet website's top 100, which is quite far from the station. The interior has a chic atmosphere with jazz music playing. I ordered the Shigure Rosukatsu set for 1,650 yen. The katsu is topped with plenty of grated daikon radish and chopped seaweed, then drizzled with white soy sauce. It is refreshing and incredibly delicious. I'm curious about the other menu items and want to try them with salt or sauce. It was a delicious tonkatsu.

Undoubtedly the best tonkatsu restaurant in Ibaraki, isn't it? This time, I ordered the grated daikon pork cutlet with white soy sauce. The juicy tonkatsu goes perfectly with the refreshing grated daikon and the rich flavor of white soy sauce. The prices are also reasonable and much appreciated.

This is a tonkatsu restaurant located in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture. It seems to be well-known among locals in Ibaraki City, with videos posted on YouTube by residents. I visited just before 1 pm and the table seats were full, so I sat at the counter. I had the Hirekatsu set meal for 1235 yen. There was also a daily special with a mix of Hirekatsu and Rosukatsu for the same price, but I chose Rosukatsu. As expected from a tonkatsu restaurant listed among the top 100, the meat was cut from a whole piece, deboned, breaded, and fried in lard, resulting in a light and crispy finish. The fat in the Rosukatsu was sweet, and it was delicious even without sauce. The rice was free for a larger portion, which is great for those who want more. The kitchen was run by a single man, while there were three women serving in the dining area, showing the popularity of the restaurant. I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

The tonkatsu was of high quality!!! Overall, I thought the restaurant was at a high level. I was expecting a more casual style of service, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was quite good! The beer was also delicious! Not only was the fat in the tonkatsu tasty, but the meat itself was also delicious! I think this restaurant is of high quality in every aspect, not just the tonkatsu.

Visited on a regular night. Arrived around 6pm and was able to be seated right away. There were no other customers present. This is a tonkatsu restaurant in Ibaraki City. The interior has 4 counter seats and 3 tables for 4 people each. There are no partitions between the counter seats, and the seating is spacious. The atmosphere is calm with a Japanese style, and JAZZ music was playing in the background. I ordered the "Special Premium Fillet Katsu Set 220g for 2700 yen". It was served in about 14 minutes. The fillet katsu was quite thick and had a good balance of tenderness and texture. Although it didn't feel too heavy, there seemed to be a bit of oil left in the breading. The taste itself was good, but I wished for a bit more richness in the meat. Therefore, even though I usually prefer salt, I felt that a savory and slightly spicy sauce would complement it better. The rice was on the softer side, and even the regular portion was quite filling. With the trend of brand pork, this quality at this price point is quite satisfactory. The lunch menu seems even more cost-effective. Thank you for the meal.

I had some errands in Ibaraki and visited this restaurant for lunch. I arrived before 12 o'clock and since it's a popular place, I was prepared to wait in line, but luckily I was able to be seated right away. I had the daily lunch special. The meat had very little fat and was easy to eat and delicious for me. I also tried the shigure hirekatsu, which I enjoyed with some white soy sauce. It was refreshing and excellent.

So cheap and fluffy tonkatsu! Hundred famous restaurants! Monday 12:10, one group of customers already inside. Only one group came in before I left. Honestly, why is it so delicious and cheap? There are three staff members running the place. - Daily special (top loin + chicken katsu) ¥1265 - Top sirloin katsu ¥1265 Arrived in 12-13 minutes! Hmm, looks delicious. All three types of meat have one thing in common, they are all "fluffy". Probably fried at a low temperature, the batter itself is fluffy. The rice is also fluffy! In addition, the meat seems to have air in it, giving it a fluffy texture. Considering the price, the meat is not expected to be that good, so maybe that's why they serve it with sauce instead of salt. I think a lot of thought has been put into making it. It's amazing to have such a high-quality restaurant in the low price range with a hundred famous restaurants. There are many high-end tonkatsu restaurants with brand names popping up in Osaka recently, but I'm happy to find a restaurant with this quality of tonkatsu at this price. I think access from the station might be difficult, so I recommend it to those who have a car or motorcycle! (As of July 3, 2023, on Tabelog 3.58)

Located on the first floor of Sun Life Town Furuiichi in 1-12-31 Masuna, Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, is a tonkatsu restaurant called "Hyakumeiten." It is known for its affordable lunch menu and is popular among locals. It can be a bit tricky to find, but it's next to a takoyaki shop. I visited on a Thursday around 11:00 am with my friend Nabe-chan. We were lucky to get a prime seating position. While there is no parking lot, they have a partnership with the parking lots of Heiwado and a pachinko parlor, so there are plenty of parking spaces available. The interior has a calm atmosphere with a gray color scheme, giving off a slight Chinese restaurant vibe. Soft jazz music plays in the background. I ordered the "Thick Cut Pork Loin Tonkatsu Set" from the grand menu, while Nabe-chan went for the daily lunch special which was a mix of upper loin and chicken katsu. The food was served in about 15 minutes. The portions were a bit smaller than expected. The pork loin katsu had a slightly thicker breading and a good amount of fat, which I enjoyed with salt, although I prefer it with sauce. The only downside is that it's difficult to park, but we went with our family for the first time in a while and it didn't disappoint. They use high-quality meat that you wouldn't expect from the price, and you can enjoy delicious shigure katsu in Ibaraki without having to go all the way to Charleston in Toyonaka. Highly recommended! ^ ^

Had lunch with my family in Ibaraki. We visited this restaurant for the first time. There is no parking lot on site, but you can get a parking ticket from a nearby Heiwado store. I ordered the Hire Katsu set meal. The arrived tonkatsu had a meat-to-fat ratio of about 8:2. The red meat part had a slight pink hue and was carefully cooked. The coating was relatively normal in thickness and texture, making it a refreshing tonkatsu without dryness in the red meat. It came with cabbage and clam soup. I think this restaurant offers tonkatsu that exceeds its price. Thank you for the meal.

In Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, "Jozan" opens at 11:00 with no parking lot. It is located in a residential area far from the station. The supermarket Heiwado offers free parking. The lunch set costs 1,265 yen, but the daily special doesn't change much. The rice portion is large for free, but it's just a regular size at other places. The food is not crispy. Tonkatsu Jozen! Daily special set meal with top sirloin cutlet & shigure sirloin cutlet set meal! Thick-cut top loin cutlet set meal! Finally made it to Jozen in Minami-Ibaraki! Looking at the menu, I knew it had to be shigure for sure. Yes, shigure! Definitely shigure. Next is between sirloin or loin. Forever torn between the two. I'm convinced that sirloin goes perfectly with shigure even before tasting it. But because I'm an old man, I appreciate the richness of loin... hmm! As I looked up, huh? Daily special? Top sirloin cutlet and shigure sirloin cutlet? The incantation of sirloin & sirloin won't work. I ordered the daily special set meal! My partner went for the thick-cut top loin cutlet set meal! - Shigure sirloin cutlet: The shigure I've been talking about is actually the grated daikon radish. When you pour white soy sauce over it and eat it, it's a masterpiece! I thought it might be too salty because of the soy sauce, but since it's white soy sauce, it has a sweet taste and just the right amount of saltiness. The aroma that comes through is really good. Also, the meat quality is strong in umami due to being sirloin, with a moderate amount of fat. Eating it with grated daikon radish makes the tonkatsu very light and refreshing! That's right! Visited with my partner on a holiday night. Parked in the Heiwado parking lot. It's currently free, but even if it becomes paid, there is a discount. However, this parking lot is a bit narrow when passing by. Returning to the topic, I ordered the "thick-cut pork loin set meal" with shrimp fry topping. It took a bit of time to be served. The first impression was that the thick-cut wasn't as thick as I had expected. Personally, I like fat, but there was a bit too much. This is a matter of preference, but it was a bit too soft for me. I prefer a meatier texture. The shrimp fry was delicious. The service is average. It would be better if they were a bit more friendly and didn't rush. The price is reasonable. Payment is cash only. The daily special set meal (1,265 yen) featured both shigure (topped with grated daikon and white soy sauce) and hire (fillet) tonkatsu. The shigure tonkatsu had a unique touch with the white soy sauce, and the miso soup with shijimi clams was a standout. The hire tonkatsu was tender with a crispy coating, and the combination of sauce and white soy sauce added a refreshing touch. I used it for lunch. Since it's a popular place, I thought it would cost around 1500 yen, but when I looked at the menu, the pork cutlet set meal was only 990 yen, so I ordered it with some hesitation. When the pork cutlet set meal arrived and I tried it, it was very delicious and satisfying. The miso soup with clams was also very tasty.
